Phoneme Segmentation Fluency
DIBELS measure early reading skills such as phonemic awareness, alphabetic awareness, vocabulary
and oral language, and fluency comprehension. The tasks associated with these measures include
initial sound fluency, phoneme segmentation fluency, letter naming fluency, and nonsense word
fluency. In order to interpret the data regarding Alice, a fourth grade student, it is important to look at
each of these skill areas. Alice was given the Initial Sound Fluency and Phoneme Segmentation
Fluency, which are designed to assess her phonological awareness. She was required to produce and
identify the first sounds/phoneme in a word within the Initial Sound Fluency. On the benchmarks of
this assessment, which occurred in September and January, her performance was below the ... Show

the months of November and December. It is important to note that Phoneme Segmentation Fluency
required Alice to produce all of the individual sounds/phonemes, initial, medial, and end, she hears in
words. Also, the Phoneme Segmentation Fluency measures were conducted across Alice s progression
from kindergarten through first grade. In regards to her performance on Alphabetic Principle, her
performance on the nonsense word fluency task seemed to fall below her targeted goal with both the
benchmarks and progress monitoring measures. This seemed to be evident across grade levels,

The Online sources of information are becoming more and more important for the academic
community for their teaching and research. Online journals have revolution the scholarly and
scientific communication since their inception in the late 1980s. The exponential growths of online
journals over the last five years were popular among scientific information providers, publishers,
libraries and information centers. Current developments in online journals and their institutional

The Logic Order For The Screenings
2. The logic order for the screenings is because there are different types of screenings and someone
might use one when they have a certain situation and another type of screening for another situation. It
just depends on the situation on what type of screening someone might use. The initial screening is
based on basic need potential because when the need for a good or service is missing then there is
need for potential but when it isn t lacking then there won t be no need for it. The second screening is
for financial and economic forces, however this screening is not all about financial analysis. Market
indicators has to do with this, which is an economic data that measures the market strengths of many
geographic areas. For example, someone might collect data on an ecommerce potential which is
located in Latin America and when collecting the data, they have to ranked the data so it can be
compared with other countries in the same region. Market factors are almost the same as market
indicators expect they correlate the market s demand with a given product. For the third screening, it s
use for political and legal forces. In this screening there are three thigs that are review by the IC
according to the most impact they will have. The first one is entry to barriers, which most of the time
are establish the government. There are importing limits which can be positive or negative, it usually
depends on the manager, whether he or she considers it to help the market by exporting

So B By Sarah Weeks
The weird start
This story has a weird beginning. I thought that the first chapter of So B. by Sarah Weeks it was going
to be an introduction and all. But it was talking about dinosaur skin color. Then all these thing started
popping in my head like if the whole book will be about dinosaur skin color, why did the author
choose to start her story this way. This is why i choose to write an essay about it. But I found the first
sentence of the story unique, Something you won t see in other books.
The first sentence was, If the truth was a crayon and it was up to me to put a wrapper around it and
name its color, I know just what I would call it dinosaur skin. It didn t really make sense to me in the
beginning. It made me feel like the book was about dinosaur skin color or something i wonder why the
Author add that part and on the first chapter. The title of this chapter was Heidi, maybe the Author
thought that heidi the main character of the book liked dinosaurs, so she should include it in the story.
I looked at one of the leads that the Author might of started the story with and the beginning with but
it didn t fit into any of them the first chapter was not all that interesting. But i wonder ... Show more

Well it was interesting of how the whole story was, because the first whole chapter she started with
how people didn t know for sure the true color of dinosaurs. I didn t really think it mattered if people
knew or not what color dinosaurs were because right after you know they will be painted differently
and that s it, also it s not like there s enough evidence today about the dinosaur skin color to know for
sure what color they were. The author might of put this part because maybe she like dinosaurs and she
wanted them to be part of her story, maybe she thought the main character heidi would love dinosaurs.
So many things i thought about, But maybe the author thought that this topic related to the story

out that adoption started back in 1851, (http://pages.uoregon.edu/). WOW! That is a very long time. I
can only speak for myself that being adopted I would not change that at all. I can only wish that my

Introduction:
A biometric is defined as a unique, measurable, biological characteristic or trait which is used to
identify individuals. Most widely used biometric characteristics to identify individuals include Face,
Fingerprint, Hand geometry, Retina, Iris, Voice etc.
Biometric identification consists of two stages:
Enrollment: During the enrollment stage, a sample biometric is acquired from the individual. Unique
characteristics this sample are then extracted to form a biometric template which is used for
subsequent comparison.
Verification: During the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Most widely used biometric trait for this Biometric Encryption include Fingerprint, Face Recognition,
Hand Geometry, Iris Scan, etc.
The key is generated again only if the correct live biometric sample is provided on verification. The
digital key (password, PIN, etc.) is randomly generated on enrolment, so that the user (or anybody
else) does not even know it. This key is independent of biometric so, it can always be changed or
updated. The Biometric Encryption template can be stored either in a database or locally (smart card,
laptop, cell phone, etc.). On verification, the user presents their fresh biometric sample (which acts as
decryption key), which retrieves the same key or password [2].
Applications of Biometric Encryption:
Access control
Biometric ticketing
Biometric boarding cards for travel
Identification, credit, and loyalty card systems
Consumer biometric payment systems etc.
Advantages of Biometric Encryption:
No retention of the biometric image or template.
The key is completely independent of biometric thus can easily be changed or updated.
Single biometric for multiple accounts.
There is no need to memorize long passwords.
Improved security of personal data and communications.
Greater confidence, trust, and use of biometrics by the public.
Major challenges for Biometric Encryption:
Loss of individual control over one s personal data.
Data matching, surveillance and profiling.
Significant security risks, especially

Uses And Application Of Mission Command Within Operation...
The purpose of this paper is to identify the uses and application of mission command within Operation
Anaconda. Operation Anaconda took place in the Shahikot Valley of eastern Afghanistan in early
March of 2002. The ground commander selected to lead the operation was Major General (MG)
Hagenbeck of the 10th Mountain Division, and for the purpose of this operation, Coalition and Joint
Task Force (CJTF) Mountain. Due to the limited number of troops under his command currently
available in Afghanistan, MG Hagenbeck was given command in addition to one of his own organic
battalions, the 3rd Brigade, 101st Air Assault Division, some Special Operations Force (SOF) units,
and Coalition Forces. This paper will identify MG Hagenbeck s, his staff s, and higher command s use
of the mission command principles during this operation. The principles of mission command are
accept prudent risk, use mission orders, exercise disciplined initiative, provide a clear commander s
intent, create shared understanding, and lastly, build cohesive teams through mutual trust (Mission
Command, 2014).
MG Hagenbeck was presented a problem during the early planning development process. He
commanded an already smaller division of two brigades, with three being the standard size. Of his
division, half of his division headquarters as well as one of his brigades was deployed in Kosovo, as
well as two maneuver battalions assuming Task Force (TF) roles in Bosnia and Sinai, and neither of

The Effect Of Temperature, Hormones And Blocking Agents On...
This lab was performed to examine the function of the heart in frogs and observe the effects of
temperature, hormones and blocking agents on autonomic control. It was found that when the heart
was bathed with cold saline, the mean amplitude of heart contraction decreased by 35%, and the mean
heart rate decreased by 34% when compared to the amplitude and heart rate with warm saline. When
varying concentrations of acetylcholine were put on the heart, there was very little change in the
amplitude of heart contraction. Similarly, there was very little change in heart rate when using
concentrations of 10 8 to 10 5 M of acetylcholine, but heart rate dropped 20% from 10 5 to 10 4.
When d tubocurarine was used as a blocking agent, heart rate increased 31%. Similar results were
found when using adrenaline on the heart. There was very little change in amplitude of heart
contraction, but there was a 15% increase in heart rate from 10 5M to 10 4M, with little fluctuations
between 10 8M and 10 5M. When propranolol was applied, mean heart rate decreased by 11%.
Introduction
The autonomic nervous system has a large influence on the function of circulatory system, and has
two separate branches: the sympathetic nervous system (SNS) and the parasympathetic nervous
system (PSNS) (anatomy). Each division releases specific neurotransmitters that trigger different
effects on organs such as the heart. The SNS releases adrenaline, leading to an increase in heart rate
and cardiac output,

biased against Black residents, but rather that the majority of crimes happen in neighborhoods that are
overwhelmingly African American. What evidence is presented in the episode to counter Chief Flynn

The point that Ed Flynn intends to convey here is that the high number of cases registered against
black people is not something that must be evaluated through racial a perspective, as a matter of fact,

Also, it is significant to mention here the documentary film manifests and highlights the issues of
racism and racial stereotyping from a drug perspective and the ways in which it helps in helps in
building certain perceptions related to black people and their involvement in drugs or other associated
criminal activities.
Another important thing learned from the documentary film that I would like to outline here is that for
the first time a documentary based on drugs, crime and law enforcement actually places its plot and
central idea on the ways in which law enforcement agencies develop their work approach, perceptions
and actions that they take against people involved in drugs and the overall decision making process
that accounts for their action.
Furthermore, the documentary film also very clearly and effectively highlights the different
psychological dimensions that influence the ways in which cops and people in the Special Forces take
their decisions when it comes to differentiating people on the basis of their color and hence resulting

The Role Of Black Students In Today s Society
In today s society, family has become a very relevant issue amongst Black Canadians. Ideally, Blacks
would enjoy having a nuclear family as most would however, in many cases immigrants often have
transnational families which sometimes results in children having single parents. Not only does this
put them at an economic disadvantage, this also leaves children without a true sense of security and
family, which according to Maslow s hierarchy of needs, prohibits them progressing towards meeting
all of their needs. Moreover, in the educational realm, Black students are adversely impacted by the
scarcity of identifiable Black role models within their own schools. This in part impacts their future as

The Career Of A Makeup Artist
Starting at the age of 11, there was this young girl who began to get really interested into makeup. Her
dad though, did not really like makeup at all so she snuck it on whenever she got to school and made
sure she took it off either while she and her brothers walked home or before her dad came to pick her
up. This young girl was only in the 6th grade, which is kind of reasonable now that she thinks back on
it, but when she was 11 she thought it was the most unfair thing; why stop her from doing something
she like that expresses herself and who she am as a person? But as time went on and she got older and
understood that it just meant he was scared that she was growing up too quickly. Being a Makeup

work well with others. Being a makeup artist is all about working and interacting with people and if
you can not do that or do not like to be around people then this is not for you. The experience you
have varies a lot more than the education you have. You could have all the education in the world
about being a makeup artist, but that does not mean you are good at it or have the creative eye for it.
You could work with big name brand companies like MAC, Sephora, Makeup Geek, and Ulta without
going to school for it, but just simply because you are good at it and you have the passion for it. Onto
the duties of being a makeup artist, which vary as to what you want to do in makeup artistry. Some
may have to sell makeup products if they are studying the businesses of the makeup, while others may
have the duty of applying the makeup, whether it be special effects makeup, glam makeup, or regular
day to day makeup which are the specific duties. General duties would be how to interact with clients,
being a makeup artist you have to know your client like what they want how they want it and what

Soccer Benefits
Soccer has been played for nearly three thousand years and is considered the world s most popular
sport. The sport is regularly seen as a hobby however for me it is a pleasant method for learning long
lasting lessons. I was introduced to soccer when I was ten years old. I started by playing street soccer
and afterward I proceeded to playing on an actual league. As I gradually got better at soccer I picked
up abilities that I would use in everyday life. As I had stated, soccer is very popular but why are the
benefits unheard of? Why are parents not being told at all? Soccer is vital for children. Children who
play soccer experience lifelong benefits such as the building of social skills, discipline, and a healthier
lifestyle. One benefit that children gain from playing soccer is they build social skills. For example,
being able to communicate with the team is essential. When I first started I was very shy. I did not
communicate and the effect was I performed terribly on the field. Once I learned to communicate I
effectively played better. These skills also benefited me outside of the sport and I was able to make
friends effortlessly and be more comfortable with myself. Being able to communicate also helps by
being able to work as a team. Teamwork is critical because one itself cannot score a goal on its own.
Being able to depend on someone helped me work smoothly. I was also able to perform even better
than if I were to work alone on the field or on any other tasks. Social

I 35 W Bridge Failure and Reconstruction
Introduction:
The I 35W Mississippi river bridge also known as Bridge 9340 officially was an eight lane, steel truss
arch bridge which carried the Interstate 35W across the Mississippi river connected the downtown east
and Marcy Holmes. Its construction began in the year 1964, was finally opened in 1967. It connected
the northeast of Metrodome on its south end and the University of Minnesota on the North end. The
bridge was the boundary of Mississippi Mile downtown riverfront parkland. The north foundation of
the bridge was near the hydroelectric plant built in 1988. The south abutment was in an area polluted
by the coal gas processing plant. There weren t any mentions of this in the failure investigations. The
bridge was a continuous truss bridge that had a total span of 1,907 ft. It was an 8 lane bridge having a
width of 113.3ft. and was 115 ft. high. It was designed by Sverdrup Parcel to 1961 AASHO (American
Association Of State Highway Officials) standard specifications. The construction contract worth
more than US $5.2 million at the time, went to Hurcon Inc. and Industrial Construction Company,
which built the steel trusses and deck. The piers were not built in the navigation channel instead the
center span of the bridge consisted of a single 456 foot steel truss over a 390 foot channel being the
longest span of the bridge.

Lincoln s Attempt To Support D Estaing
American forces in the south, between 5,000 and 7,000 men, were based at Charleston under the
command of General Benjamin Lincoln. Lincoln recognized that he would need assistance from the
French navy and army to retake Savannah. On September 3, he learned that the French forces under
the command of Admiral Comte d Estaing were en route to Savannah, bringing with them ships of the
line and 4,000 soldiers. On September 11, Lincoln marched out of Charleston with 2,000 Continentals
to link up with d Estaing. Arriving first, d Estaing began offensive operations to take the city. He
initially offered Prevost an opportunity to surrender, but Prevost demurred, hoping that reinforcements
would arrive. He was given twenty four hours. This reprieve would prove in the end to be pivotal, as
1,000 men arrived to support Prevost s force just as Lincoln arrived to support d Estaing. The Allied
forces, when fully assembled, numbered near 7,000. Defending Savannah was a force totaling 2,500
men. Faced with overwhelming odds, Prevost organized a solid defensive plan. ... Show more content

Lincoln reluctantly ceded de facto command to d Estaing, who had begun operations before Lincoln s
arrival. The French commander believed that a frontal assault against the British position would be

from their ships, and a five day cannonade began. However, Savannah bore the brunt of the artillery
assault while the defensive positions remained relatively untouched, so d Estaing eventually agreed to
the frontal assault in spite of objections by his officers. He worried that a protracted siege would take
too long and wanted to redeem his glory that had been tarnished at Newport, Rhode Island.
Additionally, hurricane season was moving in and the British fleet was still lurking somewhere off the

The Inefficiency of Airline Security Essay
Everyone who has gotten out of bed in the morning has been exposed to risks. Whether it be risks
from the factors around them, from themselves, or from people around them, they have faced some
kind of risk. Comparatively, risks presented by situations around them and by themselves are
considerably controllable. The risks delivered by people around them, however, are the ones that tend
to be the most formidable. When people have a determination to be destructive, they often select
targets which will stir up the most attention. Attributable to the criteria terrorists search for, airlines are
a common target for terrorist activities. One of the most memorable terrorist attacks revealed sizable

Author Nathan Means and Edmund S. Kip Hawley, former Executive Director of Governmental
Affairs for the Department of Transportation as well as former TSAAdministrator describes how one
of the requirements of the pat downs is that the TSO is required to run their hand up the passenger s
legs, up their thighs, until the officer feels that they have reached the passengers genitals (87). The
searches experienced at most airports do not even come close to how thorough they should be. The
occasional passengers who are given pat downs by TSOs who follow these requirements are the
passengers who publicly protest pat downs. For the most part, however, these types of requirements
which induce embarrassment for both the searchee and the search administrator are not followed. The
searches TSA agents are supposed to be doing, but not, are the ones that actually make people
uncomfortable. The level of search that is required for airline passengers is superfluous. TSOs
understand this, but no better solution has been presented thus far. TSA has been made fully aware of
the discomfort caused by pat downs and presented full body (backscatter) scanners as a solution, but

Paul and the Dead Sea Scrolls Essay examples
The Essenes were a Jewish religious group that prospered from the 2nd century BCE to the 1st century
CE. They considered themselves to be a separate from others because of their inner life and their
knowledge of the hidden mysteries of nature, which were unknown to others. The Essenes thought
that they were the heirs of God and to their own civilization. They felt that they were sent out on a
mission and that they were true saints and masters of wisdom. They were open to all religions and
considered each to be a stepping stone of a single revelation. They believed that they were able to
communicate with angelic beings and thought that they had discovered the origin of Evil on Earth.

The Dead Sea Scrolls and the Pauline Corpus both show a cognizance of the sinfulness of people and
their inaptitude to be righteous in God s eyes independent from his grace. The Essenes describe
humanity apart from God s grace in the Qumran in 1QH, IX 21 23: These things I know through Your
understanding, for You have opened my ears to wonderful mysteries even though I am a vessel of clay
and kneaded with water, a foundation of shame and a spring of filth, a melting pot of iniquity and a
structure of sin, a spirit of error, perverted without understanding and terrified by righteous judgments.
(Irons)
Paul describes that it is in fact God s grace that makes us righteous in Titus 2:11 14: For the grace of
God has appeared, saving all and training us to reject godless ways and worldly desires and live
temperately, justly, and devoutly in this age, as we await the blessed hope, the appearance of the glory
of the great God and of our savior Jesus Christ, who gave himself for us to deliver us from all
lawlessness and to cleanse for himself a people as his own, eager to do what is good (The New
American Bible).
Both the Dead Sea Scrolls and Paul are stating that humans do in fact sin, but it is the grace of God
that gives us the chance to become righteous. Another similarity between the Dead Sea Scrolls and
Paul is predestination; both the Dead Sea Scrolls and Paul give a sense of

Allen Ginsberg Influences
Allen Ginsberg was one of the 20th century s most influential poets. He was viewed as one of the
founding fathers of the Beat Movement. He is also known for his works like Howl. Allen Ginsberg,
born Irwin Allen Ginsberg, was born on June 3, 1926 in Newark, New Jersey. His mother and father
was Naomi and Louis Ginsberg. His parents were members of the Jewish New York literary
counterculture of the 1920s. During this time, Ginsberg was raised in the midst of a number of
progressive political perspectives that would later influence how he viewed life as a whole and also
influence his work. Ginsberg s mother was a supporter of the Communist party. With that, she was a
nudist. Her mental health was a major issue all throughout Ginsberg s childhood. Because of this,
Ginsberg witnessed his mother s insanity first hand while growing up causing it to have a major
impact on his own views. Ginsberg also developed a certain sense of connection with people dealing
with such issues and was able to tolerate it at such a level. In his adolescent years, Ginsberg greatly
favored Walt Whitman. Because Ginsberg wanted to live out a childhood dream of getting in

1/26/15 Introduction Gary Zammit Doctor 12 years in the Sleep Disorder Institute (SDI) in NYC. 5:30
6:00 January 28, 2015. Telephone interview Gary is a CEO and leading expert in sleep disorders. 1)
Are there any new technologies that can prevent or treat sleepwalking? I am not aware of any new
technologies that are available to prevent or treat sleepwalking. There are some different forms of
sleepwalking. Sleepwalking occurs in very deep sleep early in the night, and some of it is
disorganized. There are other forms of sleepwalking that are more organized and have a purpose. For
example, sleep eating is a disorder when people get out of bed and consume food during their sleep.
But for all of those various forms of sleepwalking, we do not have any new or novel technologies that
prevent or treat sleepwalking? 2) Is there a treatment for this disorder? Well sleepwalking is more
common in kids and as children age and get into their teen years and adulthood, it is more common
that sleepwalking goes away by itself. So it s kind of self limiting for most people but not everyone.
For kids and adults who sleepwalk the best thing to do is to gently guide the sleepwalker back into bed
and that is what takes care of it. Very often, they will stay asleep in bed and that is what takes care of
it. So you don t want to startle a sleepwalker and you don t want to shake

The Three Principles Of The People
In The Three Principles of the People, Sun Yat Sen presents two key criticisms of cosmopolitanism
and the destructive implications behind this ideology. The first critique is not directly linked to the
actual definition of the term, but the way in which nation states use it to further their social and
political legitimacy. Cosmopolitanism is the idea that all humans belong to one global culture and
community as global citizens. However, Sun Yat Sen criticizes which country or nations form of
government and sociocultural norms will be used as the basis for the global community.
Sun Yat Sen believes that the countries [or nations] that will establish the foundation for world
government and global culture will be those that use imperialism to maintain their position as the
ultimate powers of the world. However, before these nations attempt to govern countries, they must
rule over their own. He states, The nations which are employing imperialism to conquer others and
which are trying to maintain their own favored positions as sovereign lords of the whole world are
advocating cosmopolitanism and want the world to join them. For Yat Sen, cosmopolitanism is an
unreasonable idea because the imperialists who support it will have an even stronger position to
obliterate smaller countries that reject it. He supports this critique by using World War I as an
example.
European countries were attempting to solve the problem with Turkey, one they did not understand,
which contributed

With such a high survival rate would be easy to assume that the needs of this patient group are being

Residential School Reconciliation Essay
From the late 19th to late 20th century, the Canadian government implemented the Indian Residential
School System (IRSS) in collaboration with the Anglican, Presbyterian, Roman Catholic, and United
Churches. Under the IRRS, Aboriginal children were forcibly torn from their families and made to live
in residential schools. The children were forbidden from expressing Aboriginal culture, and were
punished for doing so through verbal, physical, and sexual abuse. The purpose of the IRSS was to
destroy Aboriginal culture and anglicize Aboriginal children. The residential schools were therefore a
mechanism of cultural genocide, as they were the tools through which this purpose was executed.

Under the agreement, the Canadian government had to outline several steps that would be taken
towards reconciliation with Aboriginal peoples: a compensation plan for survivors, establishing
commemorative projects, and delivering a national apology for the IRSS. In 2008, then Prime Minister
Stephen Harper delivered the apology on behalf of the Canadian government for the IRSS and it s
continuing impacts. The IRSSA also involved the establishment of the Truth and Reconciliation
Commission (TRC), an Aboriginal body whose purpose is to inform about the IRSS, and to report on
how the process of reconciliation should be navigated. The TRC defines reconciliation as establishing
and maintain a mutually respectful relationship between Aboriginal peoples and non Aboriginal
peoples [in Canada], which entails awareness of the past, and action to change behaviour . The steps
taken towards reconciliation have been limited in success, because the Government of Canada has
insufficiently addressed two compounding root issues: (1) the healing of residential school survivors,
and (2) the mending of broken Aboriginal social and family

Mayan Creation Myths
Different cultures have different beliefs and values. In this paper, I will speak about two different
cultures and their creation myths. There are different myths floating around within each culture that
explain the creation of human, earth and animals. The two I have chosen is The Old Testament
Creation and The Mayans Creation. The Old Testament Creation is very common amongst individuals
today. This Creation involves Adam and Eve. The Mayans creation went through a series of changes
until the right humans were formed.
The Old Testament creation combines ex nihilo and deus faber motifs. God created the heavens and
the earth. It took God seven days to complete his creation. Day one, God separated light from
darkness. He called this day and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
These myths shape the way people live their lives. The main purpose of creation myths in a culture is
to explain rituals, customs in beliefs. There are things that we may not be able to understand or
explain. Creation myths explains how humans were created, why we are imperfect, why we die, why
there is suffering and where we go when we die ( Creation Myth Gantjes , 2004). If you take the time
and look at how religions are linked to the history of creation myths, you ll see how it shapes the way
we view cultures. The Old Testament creation stated that Eve and Adam disobeyed Gods command.
The result from Adam being disobedient, he would have to work hard and suffer to survive. Eve had
to endure the pain of carrying a child and serve her husband. In Christianity today, this is the result of
men and women. We as women endure pain when carrying a child. Men have to work very hard to

What Is The Silent Generation
It is important to realize that, the poet s poems are considered as historical records of a very important
period. He belongs to the silent or lost generation and writes about their time. In his poem Silent

When Hitler was the Devil
He did as he had sworn
With such enthusiasm
That even, donnerwetter,
The Germans say, Far better
Had he been never born!
It was my generation
That put the Devil down
With great enthusiasm.
But now our occupation
Is gone. Our education
Is wasted on the town. (1 12)

the poem addresses himself as a soldier in the first world war, he brings up names of German and
American planes The German Taube and the Nieuport Scout, which were produced in the second

Vaughan says that the main reason behind linking the two experiences from different times at one

The Quebec Referendum first occurred during the Quebec Sovereignty. The Quebec Sovereignty is the
movement of Quebec declaring independence from Canada. Throughout Canadian history, the
province of Quebec has always wanted to become independent from Canada. Most citizens of Quebec
feel suppressed from Canada as French is not commonly spoken outside by Canadians outside of
Quebec. From the fall of 1967, when, as federal minister of justice, he had clearly articulated his
position on these questions, to the 1980 referendum, his thinking and priorities had not changed: they
embodied patriation of the constitution, equality between francophones and anglophones, a charter of
rights, and an amending formula granting a right of veto to Quebec. Pierre Trudeau had intentions in
patriating the constitution with the French and English Canadian s rights and freedoms. During the
Quebec referendum in the year of 1995, the Parti Quebecois asked voters to vote on whether Quebec
should become sovereign or not. As a result, the majority of voters voted against the Quebec
Sovereignty Referendum. Pierre Trudeau strived to defeat the sovereignty movement and thus,
established the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms. Trudeau was very passionate and ambitious
in transforming Canada into an equal and humble society.

What Is Porter s Five Forces In Airline Industry
1) Bargaining power of Supplier
Power rests with the suppliers in the form of price and quality of supplies. Suppliers can increase the
price or lower the quality of their goods and services. The power of supplier in the Indian airline
industry is immense because of the three major inputs from the supplier are all affected by the external
environment. These 3 factors and the power of supplier for each component is explained below.
a) Aircraft
The airline industry needs aircraft either on outright sale or lease basis.
It is difficult to enter into the plane manufacturing industry because of the capital needed to enter. The
amount of money and expertise needed to make even one plane is around 200 million dollars. For this
reason, there are ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
2) Bargaining power of buyers
Buyers are usually customers and customers if powerful have the ability to reduce prices, ask for high
quality products and services. In the Indian airline industry, the bargaining power of buyers is high and
is increasing as there are lots of airlines to choose from and there are hardly any switching costs.
Moreover, there are lots of travel agents and customers can now buy ticket online from even
intermediaries. Therefore, they do not really have to stick to one airline and this increases the power of
the customers.
3) Threat of new entrants
A lucrative industry is always a target for investors looking at investment. One of the foremost factors
in consideration while looking at the attractiveness of an industry is the threat of new entrants. In the
airlines industry, this was a major threat a few years ago. The airlines operating in the industry were
limited and the industry had few players like Indian Airlines and Jet Airways. However, as the
industry had scope for accommodating more players, many players joined the fray. The airlines
industry however comes with its fair share of barriers. The investment in the airlines is very huge and
acts as a major barrier to entry. Bundled with it were different permits for running an airline company

Hate Speech Argumentative Essay
Hate speech is speech that is intended to degrade, intimidate, or inflect violence or prejudicial action
against someone based on their race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, or based on
a disability. Hate speech now includes messages of gender, sexual orientation, religious views, and
physical and mental inferiority as well.
Hate speech can be harmful when it is applied and plays a critical role in acts of violence and
discrimination against a targeted population. Another way hate speech can be harm fun is when the
harmfulness of hate speech is understood turns not so much on the ability to act violently, but the view
that such words are basically harmful to those who are targeted. This shows the pattern of abuse that is
caused when abusive speech is directed to a particular target. Hate speech becomes a hate crime in the
United States when the speech contains serious and imminent threat of violence. The violent would
need to be against a person or groups of people to commit specific criminal acts against those persons.

The Most Uneven Great Poet By Tenney Nathanson
Come, said my soul,
Such verses for my Body let us write, (for we are one,)
That should I after death invisibly return,
Or, long, long hence, in other spheres,

Ever and ever yet the verses owning as, first, I here and now,

Walt Whitman
Walt Whitman, termed America s most uneven great poet by Tenney Nathanson, is one of America s
greatest poets. Born in 1819 in Long Island, Whitman lived during an era when sexuality, especially
homosexuality, a term not coined until years later, was a taboo subject not to be discussed in public.

With the release of Leaves of Grass, a new form of poetry is born. This form defies convention in
presentation and subject matter. The compilation of poems did not get the immediate attention and
recognition Whitman had hoped for due this defiance. Although it was championed by several famous
poets, especially Ralph Waldo Emerson, it would take many years for the works to become successful.
The explicit sexual theme in Whitman s works is the chief source of the delayed recognition Leaves of
Grass eventually receives. Leaves of Grass was probably more notorious for its sexual explicitness
than admired for its poetic qualities (Nathanson 400). Whitman initially incorporated the sexual theme
into two articles for the Brooklyn paper. Whitman was forced to resign because of the indignation of
some of his readers (Asselineau 107). This fueled his desire to teach the general population that sex is
universal and should be embraced without fear and anxiety. The body, he teaches, is beautiful. Sex is
also beautiful (Whitman 208).
Whitman does a better job of incorporating the recurring theme of sexuality into his poems. Not only
does he bestow sexual attributes on people, he does the same for objects as evidence in the poem,
Crossing Brooklyn Ferry . He combines with the river, the street and other objects. The glories strung
like beads on my smallest sights and hearings, on the walk in the street and the passage

defined democracy when it is in its truest form; a citizen s beliefs should be equally represented and

branches in the government; they include the executive, legislative, and judicial branch. The Congress

Although they have some comparisons in the way the House is set up and the tasks they have to do,
there are many distinctions. The House of Representatives contains more than four times the amount
of Senators and serves two year terms compared to a Senator s six year term. Senators also have to be
at least thirty years of age with nine years of citizenship while the House sets a twenty five year old
minimum with seven years of citizenship (Harrison 408). While the House is led by the Speaker of the
House, John Boehner, the Senate is led by the Vice President, who is currently Joe Biden.
With 435 members in the House, the House of Representatives is known to be the body that
symbolizes the citizens of America. It was intended that the House adhered to the beliefs of the people
more than the Senate did, making the House of Representatives a bit more democratic. Senators are
voted to represent the beliefs of a whole state; while on the other hand, members of House represent
groups of citizens in specific districts of states. Because of this, representatives try and submit bills
that appeal to the voters in their own district. This allows members to

  • 5. The Logic Order For The Screenings 2. The logic order for the screenings is because there are different types of screenings and someone might use one when they have a certain situation and another type of screening for another situation. It just depends on the situation on what type of screening someone might use. The initial screening is based on basic need potential because when the need for a good or service is missing then there is need for potential but when it isn t lacking then there won t be no need for it. The second screening is for financial and economic forces, however this screening is not all about financial analysis. Market indicators has to do with this, which is an economic data that measures the market strengths of many geographic areas. For example, someone might collect data on an ecommerce potential which is located in Latin America and when collecting the data, they have to ranked the data so it can be compared with other countries in the same region. Market factors are almost the same as market indicators expect they correlate the market s demand with a given product. For the third screening, it s use for political and legal forces. In this screening there are three thigs that are review by the IC according to the most impact they will have. The first one is entry to barriers, which most of the time are establish the government. There are importing limits which can be positive or negative, it usually depends on the manager, whether he or she considers it to help the market by exporting ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

But it was talking about dinosaur skin color. Then all these thing started popping in my head like if the whole book will be about dinosaur skin color, why did the author choose to start her story this way. This is why i choose to write an essay about it. But I found the first sentence of the story unique, Something you won t see in other books. The first sentence was, If the truth was a crayon and it was up to me to put a wrapper around it and name its color, I know just what I would call it dinosaur skin. It didn t really make sense to me in the beginning. It made me feel like the book was about dinosaur skin color or something i wonder why the Author add that part and on the first chapter. The title of this chapter was Heidi, maybe the Author thought that heidi the main character of the book liked dinosaurs, so she should include it in the story. I looked at one of the leads that the Author might of started the story with and the beginning with but it didn t fit into any of them the first chapter was not all that interesting. But i wonder ... This key is independent of biometric so, it can always be changed or updated. The Biometric Encryption template can be stored either in a database or locally (smart card, laptop, cell phone, etc.). On verification, the user presents their fresh biometric sample (which acts as decryption key), which retrieves the same key or password [2]. • 11. Uses And Application Of Mission Command Within Operation... The purpose of this paper is to identify the uses and application of mission command within Operation Anaconda. Operation Anaconda took place in the Shahikot Valley of eastern Afghanistan in early March of 2002. The ground commander selected to lead the operation was Major General (MG) Hagenbeck of the 10th Mountain Division, and for the purpose of this operation, Coalition and Joint Task Force (CJTF) Mountain. Due to the limited number of troops under his command currently available in Afghanistan, MG Hagenbeck was given command in addition to one of his own organic battalions, the 3rd Brigade, 101st Air Assault Division, some Special Operations Force (SOF) units, and Coalition Forces. This paper will identify MG Hagenbeck s, his staff s, and higher command s use of the mission command principles during this operation. The principles of mission command are accept prudent risk, use mission orders, exercise disciplined initiative, provide a clear commander s intent, create shared understanding, and lastly, build cohesive teams through mutual trust (Mission Command, 2014). MG Hagenbeck was presented a problem during the early planning development process. He commanded an already smaller division of two brigades, with three being the standard size. Of his division, half of his division headquarters as well as one of his brigades was deployed in Kosovo, as well as two maneuver battalions assuming Task Force (TF) roles in Bosnia and Sinai, and neither of his assistant division ... • 12. The Effect Of Temperature, Hormones And Blocking Agents On... This lab was performed to examine the function of the heart in frogs and observe the effects of temperature, hormones and blocking agents on autonomic control. It was found that when the heart was bathed with cold saline, the mean amplitude of heart contraction decreased by 35%, and the mean heart rate decreased by 34% when compared to the amplitude and heart rate with warm saline. When varying concentrations of acetylcholine were put on the heart, there was very little change in the amplitude of heart contraction. Similarly, there was very little change in heart rate when using concentrations of 10 8 to 10 5 M of acetylcholine, but heart rate dropped 20% from 10 5 to 10 4. When d tubocurarine was used as a blocking agent, heart rate increased 31%. Similar results were found when using adrenaline on the heart. There was very little change in amplitude of heart contraction, but there was a 15% increase in heart rate from 10 5M to 10 4M, with little fluctuations between 10 8M and 10 5M. When propranolol was applied, mean heart rate decreased by 11%. Introduction The autonomic nervous system has a large influence on the function of circulatory system, and has two separate branches: the sympathetic nervous system (SNS) and the parasympathetic nervous system (PSNS) (anatomy). Ideally, Blacks would enjoy having a nuclear family as most would however, in many cases immigrants often have transnational families which sometimes results in children having single parents. Her dad though, did not really like makeup at all so she snuck it on whenever she got to school and made sure she took it off either while she and her brothers walked home or before her dad came to pick her up. The sport is regularly seen as a hobby however for me it is a pleasant method for learning long lasting lessons. I was introduced to soccer when I was ten years old. I started by playing street soccer and afterward I proceeded to playing on an actual league. As I gradually got better at soccer I picked up abilities that I would use in everyday life. As I had stated, soccer is very popular but why are the benefits unheard of? Why are parents not being told at all? Soccer is vital for children. Children who play soccer experience lifelong benefits such as the building of social skills, discipline, and a healthier lifestyle. One benefit that children gain from playing soccer is they build social skills. For example, being able to communicate with the team is essential. When I first started I was very shy. I did not communicate and the effect was I performed terribly on the field. Once I learned to communicate I effectively played better. These skills also benefited me outside of the sport and I was able to make friends effortlessly and be more comfortable with myself. Being able to communicate also helps by being able to work as a team. Teamwork is critical because one itself cannot score a goal on its own. Being able to depend on someone helped me work smoothly. I was also able to perform even better than if I were to work alone on the field or on any other tasks. Social ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 29. The Three Principles Of The People In The Three Principles of the People, Sun Yat Sen presents two key criticisms of cosmopolitanism and the destructive implications behind this ideology. The first critique is not directly linked to the actual definition of the term, but the way in which nation states use it to further their social and political legitimacy. Cosmopolitanism is the idea that all humans belong to one global culture and community as global citizens. However, Sun Yat Sen criticizes which country or nations form of government and sociocultural norms will be used as the basis for the global community. Sun Yat Sen believes that the countries [or nations] that will establish the foundation for world government and global culture will be those that use imperialism to maintain their position as the ultimate powers of the world. However, before these nations attempt to govern countries, they must rule over their own. He states, The nations which are employing imperialism to conquer others and which are trying to maintain their own favored positions as sovereign lords of the whole world are advocating cosmopolitanism and want the world to join them. For Yat Sen, cosmopolitanism is an unreasonable idea because the imperialists who support it will have an even stronger position to obliterate smaller countries that reject it. From the fall of 1967, when, as federal minister of justice, he had clearly articulated his position on these questions, to the 1980 referendum, his thinking and priorities had not changed: they embodied patriation of the constitution, equality between francophones and anglophones, a charter of rights, and an amending formula granting a right of veto to Quebec. Moreover, there are lots of travel agents and customers can now buy ticket online from even intermediaries. Therefore, they do not really have to stick to one airline and this increases the power of the customers. 3) Threat of new entrants A lucrative industry is always a target for investors looking at investment. Hate Speech Argumentative Essay Hate speech is speech that is intended to degrade, intimidate, or inflect violence or prejudicial action against someone based on their race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, or based on a disability. Hate speech can be harmful when it is applied and plays a critical role in acts of violence and discrimination against a targeted population. Another way hate speech can be harm fun is when the harmfulness of hate speech is understood turns not so much on the ability to act violently, but the view that such words are basically harmful to those who are targeted. The compilation of poems did not get the immediate attention and recognition Whitman had hoped for due this defiance. Although it was championed by several famous poets, especially Ralph Waldo Emerson, it would take many years for the works to become successful. The explicit sexual theme in Whitman s works is the chief source of the delayed recognition Leaves of Grass eventually receives. Leaves of Grass was probably more notorious for its sexual explicitness than admired for its poetic qualities (Nathanson 400). Whitman initially incorporated the sexual theme into two articles for the Brooklyn paper. Whitman was forced to resign because of the indignation of some of his readers (Asselineau 107). This fueled his desire to teach the general population that sex is universal and should be embraced without fear and anxiety. The body, he teaches, is beautiful. Sex is also beautiful (Whitman 208). Whitman does a better job of incorporating the recurring theme of sexuality into his poems. Not only does he bestow sexual attributes on people, he does the same for objects as evidence in the poem, Crossing Brooklyn Ferry . He combines with the river, the street and other objects. The representative democracy instated in the United States presents the need for three branches in the government; they include the executive, legislative, and judicial branch. Another similarity is that both the House and the Senate are also elected by the people. Although they have some comparisons in the way the House is set up and the tasks they have to do, there are many distinctions. The House of Representatives contains more than four times the amount of Senators and serves two year terms compared to a Senator s six year term. Senators also have to be at least thirty years of age with nine years of citizenship while the House sets a twenty five year old minimum with seven years of citizenship (Harrison 408). While the House is led by the Speaker of the House, John Boehner, the Senate is led by the Vice President, who is currently Joe Biden. With 435 members in the House, the House of Representatives is known to be the body that symbolizes the citizens of America. It was intended that the House adhered to the beliefs of the people more than the Senate did, making the House of Representatives a bit more democratic. Senators are voted to represent the beliefs of a whole state; while on the other hand, members of House represent groups of citizens in specific districts of states. Because of this, representatives try and submit bills that appeal to the voters in their own district. This allows members to ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
