The weird start
This story has a weird beginning. I thought that the first chapter of So B. by Sarah Weeks it was going
to be an introduction and all. But it was talking about dinosaur skin color. Then all these thing started
popping in my head like if the whole book will be about dinosaur skin color, why did the author
choose to start her story this way. This is why i choose to write an essay about it. But I found the first
sentence of the story unique, Something you won t see in other books.
The first sentence was, If the truth was a crayon and it was up to me to put a wrapper around it and
name its color, I know just what I would call it dinosaur skin. It didn t really make sense to me in the
beginning. It made me feel like the book was about dinosaur skin color or something i wonder why the

With the release of Leaves of Grass, a new form of poetry is born. This form defies convention in
presentation and subject matter. The compilation of poems did not get the immediate attention and
recognition Whitman had hoped for due this defiance. Although it was championed by several famous
poets, especially Ralph Waldo Emerson, it would take many years for the works to become successful.
The explicit sexual theme in Whitman s works is the chief source of the delayed recognition Leaves of
Grass eventually receives. Leaves of Grass was probably more notorious for its sexual explicitness
than admired for its poetic qualities (Nathanson 400). Whitman initially incorporated the sexual theme
into two articles for the Brooklyn paper. Whitman was forced to resign because of the indignation of
some of his readers (Asselineau 107). This fueled his desire to teach the general population that sex is
universal and should be embraced without fear and anxiety. The body, he teaches, is beautiful. Sex is
also beautiful (Whitman 208).
Whitman does a better job of incorporating the recurring theme of sexuality into his poems. Not only
does he bestow sexual attributes on people, he does the same for objects as evidence in the poem,

combinations were needed to interpret the areas of the image and they are referenced where necessary.
The Landsat 8 OLI was retrieved from the USGA Earth Explorer and courtesy of the US Geological
Survey. The date of acquisition is March 28, 2014 and the scene is path 29 row 30 (USGS). The land
cover and land use was derived from different techniques and element of image interpretation. Many
ancillary data sources were used to understand the different areas of the image. The image is the Ha il
Province of Saudi Arabia (highlighted in red, figure 2), located in the northern section of the Arabian
Peninsula (highlighted in red, figure 3). The area has many defining features that make up the scene.
There are urban areas, the major of those being Ha il the capital of Ha il Province and has a population
of 412,758 (Google Maps). The image also includes many agricultural fields that are rather interesting
because of their shape (Google Maps). These urban and agricultural areas are a part of the Plains
