It seems that no one really understands us. By us I mean the people who live every
day in fear of starving or freezing to death. People walk past us on the streets and
comment on how sick we look, but they do nothing to help! They think that if they
give us money we will just spend it on alcohol, cigarettes, or drugs. They don t
understand that we are scared, scared of dying, and scared of having nothing to live
for.
I only have one thing to live for, my younger brother. I am responsible for taking
care of him because i was the one who convinced him to run away from the
orphanage with me. The way we have been living is hard, but we manage. I leave
