Jonbenet Ramsey Case
Being asked to come to a conclusion as to who killed JonBenet Ramsey is very challenging . This is
due in part to the fact that there are multiple people who could have killed her. With that being said, I
am going to do my best to demonstrate who I think had more of a motive to kill her. JonBenet Ramsey
was a vibrant six year old beauty queen who was well advanced for age. I believe that one of John
Ramsey s employees at Access Graphics killed JonBenet. My justifications follow.
It is well known that the Ramsey s threw vibrant parties for the employees of Access Graphics. Some
of these parties took place within the family home. The children partook in these festivities. Thus
,exposing the girl to a potential killer. The killer would have been able to learn the outlay of the family
home.
The ransom note comes into play here. In my previous complete section, I discussed the fact that there
were no reported finger prints located on the ransom note when it was examined. The murderer would
have to have been planning on doing said act for quite some time in order to leave no evidence behind.
The autopsy report revealed death by asphyxiation associated with a skull fracture. Further
examination by the coroner revealed that she ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It is my belief that the person who killed her had in depth knowledge of the workings of the family.
The little girl had to have known her killer which is why she did not scream or lash out against an
intruder. The indication of sexual assault reveals that the killer believed that they may have had a
relationship with the young girl. Given the fact that the girl did not appear to be fully penetrated, as
evidenced by her autopsy report, indicates that the killer may have had remorse for their actions, if the
girl rejected them. Instead of being found out, the killer strangled the girl in attempt to keep their

Identity And Discrimination In Rudali
Review a work of fiction that helped/challenged/encouraged you to reflect on questions of identity and
discrimination . The work of fiction that challenged and encouraged my perceptions on identity and
discrimination is a piece of short fiction called Rudali , written in Bengali by Mahasweta Devi and
translated to English by Anjum Katyal. This text serves as an epitome of class, caste and gender
subalternity in the historic context of brahmanical patriarchy. The protagonist individualises the
discrimination exerted on low caste communities via the triple oppression faced by them under these
structures of society (i.e caste, class and gender) and tries to subvert these hegemonic structures from
within. The title of the book, Rudali ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Although in many ways this text can be seen as a radical feminist text, but Devi dismisses the idea as
she is not a feminist. She feels that it is a mere coincidence that some professions are gendered and
doesn t regard women as a separate entity but treats their oppression as linked to a wider oppressive
structure controlled by caste. She thinks that to ignore the latter in the shadow of the former, is a
denial of history . But Usha Ganguli in her introductory text Metamorphosis of Rudali presents a
different view and says that in many ways this could be read as an enabling feminist text with the
empowerement of Sanichri, the bonding between the two characters, the importance given to
household chores, the common experiences of discrimination of women along class lines and the rare
sensitivity expressed by the author towards women in general. Through this novella, Devi discusses
and rethinks questions of class, caste and gender and how such structures affect women by giving a
powerful voice to the gendered subaltern and thus rescuing them from the dark recesses of third world

Docetism In Gnosticism
One of the early heresies was Docetism, which held that Jesus only seemed human. They based this
belief on an assumption that God can t become flesh. Docetism treats John 1:14 as figurative where it
states that the Word was made flesh. Part of their reasoning for this belief can be attributed to the view
of flesh as sinful which would result as a problem for God, who is divine, to become imprisoned
inside. However, Jesus was nailed to a cross and real blood flowed from his hands and side that is
proof that Jesus was in fact human. In Gnosticism it was believed that the trinity was three hidden
spiritual realities. They tended to think in the form of good against bad with the spirit being good and
the physical being bad. It can be confusing ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The problem with the description from Apollonarius is that it implies that Jesus is just a flesh suit that
God is controlling like a puppet. To be fully human Jesus must possess not only a flesh body but also a
human mind and soul. Nestorius taught that Jesus was two persons with two natures. In our modern
definition this would be schizophrenic or twins. Nestorius viewed Jesus as God and man working
together but this goes against the idea that Jesus is God. It simply has Jesus just working with God.
Eutyches takes the approach of monophysitism and claims that Jesus has one nature because he
wanted to avoid separating Jesus into two different entities. His view makes Jesus a hybrid of God and
man. Finally to try and put an end to the debates the Council of Chalcedon was held in AD 451. They
set four parameters to define how the church understands Jesus that included Jesus as fully God, Jesus
as fully man, Jesus as one person, and Jesus having two natures. This was good because instead of the
focus being on what was wrong the parameters focused on what was right. The parameters also work
in harmony with the Biblical description of the TrinityAugustine s life pursuit was after pleasure and
delight. He was not only about seeking joy for himself but also for

The Importance Of Pursuing A Career In The NBA
Thank you for having me for the first couple seasons of my career. I had great success that led to
multiple individual awards awarded to me from the league. But let me address this clearly. I ain t no
b*tch. I think it was time for me to get out of Oklahoma City because were not having success at all.
We ve made it to the conference finals or a deep run in the playoffs every year after my arrival but I
think this isn t enough. I wanted to join the team that just beat us and form a superteazm that will
dominate the league for the years to come. I wanted to join Golden State and form the most prolific
and impossible team in NBA history. Im a superstar in this league and one of the best players in

Deviance Is Socially Constructed
Deviance is any behavior that does not conform to social expectations. The statement, Deviance is
socially constructed means that because individuals that rebel against the norms of social group, and
use deviant behavior, others will join in and this creates a whole new social group. For instance, gay
marriage. This has always been considered something wrong and people shouldn t do it. Although,
people started to become deviant and say that it isn t wrong and that people should be able to love who
they so please. Now, since the summer of 2015, gay marriage has been legalized all across the nation
and all of these people fit under one social group. Deviance is relative because the rules for each group
vary, so in that case it is relative

Corporal Punishment Should Be Accepted Into Society
INTRODUCTION Corporal punishment, or otherwise known as spanking, has been a topic of
discussion for many years. Opinions on whether corporal punishment should be accepted into society
have lingered considering there are so many variables that cause people to have diverse opinions about
the subject. It should not be a surprise that most studies prove when parents favor corporal
punishment, they tend to be more likely to use it with their children (Flynn, 1998). Not only does the
age of a person being surveyed affect opinions on physical punishment, but religion is also a huge
factor when it comes to supporting corporal punishment. Multi generations could potentially all have
different views on the use of corporal punishment, like ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
There were 212 participants whose age ranged from 17 to 54. The majority were non parents, which is
beneficial because it shows how participants allow the way they grew up to affect the way they will
raise their children. The average age was 23.8 years, but for non parents the average age was 19.4 and
for parents it was 36.4 years. This left a wide variety of perspectives to be seen within the study.
Although, this study showed no correlation between the age of the respondents to their views on
keeping or disregarding section 43.
While in a similar study, people between the age of 20 to 30 years were less likely to use corporal
punishment within their home, unless they received corporal punishment as a child (Schenck, Lyman,
Bodin, 2000). Although, the 8% of respondents who reported that they were victims of physical abuse
as children were significantly less likely to recommend corporal punishment. A different point of view
showed that people above the age 30 we likely to recommend corporal punishment whether they
received it as a child or not, and no matter if they had children. Regardless if they received corporal
punishment as a child, the older generations were still likely to recommend using physical punishment
based off other perspectives that they had seen. In a study based off multi generations, there was a
prevalent trend of reducing corporal punishment, especially

Christian Brothers Academy
I can surely say that my senior year would not be nearly as enjoyable without the GURU program.
The ability to facilitate an engaging discussion with not one but two groups of freshmen at Christian
Brothers Academy is something I look forward to every cycle. By discussing some relatively
controversial subject topics with these freshmen, I put myself in a role model position, one to
influence positive decision making in order for these kids to make their own transition into Academy
Men, to really make the most out of their four years at CBA. I have learned a lot about the ten
freshmen that I oversee. I can say that I know each of them pretty well now. But finally, I can say that

Also, it definitely affects my worldview with God and my Christian morality in the context of a
LaSallian school. We owe everything that we have become to God, and personally I owe a lot to
Christian Brothers Academy for making me the Academy Man that I am today. Moreover, I see myself
as a liaison between these freshmen and the CBA faculty, staff, and family in order for them to
eventually transform themselves in their lives while keeping God as a major focus. By embracing my
own self value through Christian morality, I must also encourage these freshmen that they are valuable
because of their relationship with God in this LaSallian school, exemplifying the teachings of St. John
Baptist de La Salle. As an example, Peck States in The Road Less Traveled, this feeling of being
valuable is a cornerstone of self discipline because when one considers oneself valuable one will take
care of oneself in all ways that are necessary. Self discipline is self caring (Peck 24). Self discipline is
so important in my own life, and I look to teach the freshmen the importance of it as well. My own
relationship with God is one based on self caring, the petitioning for forgiveness and the constant
gratification that goes along with it. When it comes down to it, we all have the free will to believe
what we want to believe, however, it is integral to these

An Analysis Of Maya Angelou And Alice Walker
Maya Angelou and Alice Walker are two well known contemporary African American writers.
Although both women are from different generations they share some of the same qualities and
experiences. Both women used their past experiences of tragedy and hardship as a stepping stool for
growth by turning that pain into what now are famous stories and poems. For most writers, majority of
their work stem from their own experiences, and for both Alice and Maya a great deal of their works
regarded the dilemmas many African American people faced during that time such as prejudice and
discrimination.
They were each so passionate about equal rights for colored people that they got involved with the
civil rights movement. Maya Angelou participated in the movement in the 1960s by touring the
country with Dr. Martin Luther King Jr as he prepared for the Poor People s Campaign . Alice Walker
participated by writing a novel in 1976 called Meridian, which is known as the meditation on the
modern civil rights movement. Both women also had strong views about equality for African
American women, and soon became known as Feminist. They used their platform as writers to express
the challenges many black women faced, as well as give women like them a voice by promoting
gender equality.
Although Maya Angelou and Alice Walker share these similarities, there are still unique facts that
separate these writers apart. Marguerite Annie Johnson, also known as Maya Angelou, was born on

The Enduring Love Play Analysis
THE LAND ABOVE presents as a historical character driven drama. The script offers an excellent
main protagonist, whose life story is both dramatic and fascinating, thus providing a great potential for
an interesting biopic.
The story also provides some memorable combat scenes and shows a strong potential for compelling
visual portrayal.
Nevertheless, the overall dramatic premise with George Washington trying to demythologize himself
has room for more development in the areas of the structure and pace, as well as further character
development.
Unfortunately, the main plot is distracted by a multitude of subplots, characters, and events many
more than feels manageable within a feature film. As result, the overall pacing of the story often ...

Clarify what is the main theme/morale of the story. What is the lesson to be learnt by the character?
Depending on the definition of the focus in character s journey, the structure should reflect the change
he is about to undergo. For example, if Washington is to change from naïve boy into independent man
(who will place a significant role in creation of independent country) he needs to learn the truth about
political ambitions of the English, starting at perceiving them as allies in the beginning and continue to
show their true colors as the story progresses. As things stand, the English seem to behave the same
way throughout the story without a change.
The current script version suggests the story is to explain how the legend about the 1st US president
came to be and his own attempt to demythologize his own story. The story would need to provide
more clues as to what is the motivation behind this, as well as more information for audience to
compare the reality with fabrication of his imagination.
The first words the hero says should preferably be related to this main

African American Music And Its Impact On African Americans
Music in the 1900 s had meaning , music was how African Americans got through a long working day
. Music then was something that no man could take away . That still applies to the 21st century music ,
back onto the 1900 s African Americans were not given the same privileges as they are today . Music
was the less threatening way for African Americans to get there point across . The music was not
always about them wanting equality , there was loving songs , upbeat songs , songs about what they
are doing . There were always those songs that would get a person in there feelings . The music that
tells a person life story on what all they may have been through . Most the listeners were African
American which is good , then there may have been some white but not many . African American
music to some was not as important to them as to others . The African American music has evolved
from the 1900 s to now , also the amount of people that listen to African American music has also
evolved . At a farm in Mississippi is an example of how African Americans used music to get through
a hard working day . Music while working usually help the time go by faster . The music in which was
sung in the fields or in the cabins for entertainment later became known as The Blues . Blues music is
usually written from the heart it is an emotional genre of music , the lyrics or the feeling in the blues

The Maccabees Rebelled Against The Seleucid Empire
From 1000 B.C.E. to 100 C.E. the Jews generally did not have much power. Throughout this time
period the Jews were either attempting to gain power, under someone else s power, or losing their
previously achieved status in power. However, in defining power as military strength, the ability to
maintain distinctiveness from other people, or the ability to shape people s practices and beliefs, the
amount of power the Jews had fluctuated slightly, but mostly remained low.
If power is strictly define by military strength and presence, then the Jews had virtually no power
during this time period. Because the Jews were dominated by various empires they had no opportunity
to build a strong military force. The Jews most notable military events was the Maccabean rebellion.

Paul was a Hebrew born of Hebrews, who lived from 5 C.E. to 67 C.E. and became seen as a Jewish
apostle for the gentiles or non Jews. Paul created a new subtype of Judaism known as Jesus following
Jews. Even though Paul strongly self identified as Jewish, he took it upon himself to spread the ways
of Jesus to non Jews in attempt to save everyone when the world ended. He went on missionary trips
to and from Jerusalem, Cyprus, Galatia, and Ephesus. Paul wrote that There is no longer Jew or

offspring, (Galatians 3:28 29). However, Paul s mission wasn t to spread Judaism, it was to spread the
ways of Jesus s life, so the Jewish people didn t have direct power to shape other s beliefs. In
examining power from different angles, it can be determined that although the Jews showed small
bursts of power between 1000 B.C.E and 100 C.E., they generally remained

The Physics Of American Football
The Physics of American Football In America, sports are an important part of the culture. People
watch them for pure fun and entertain or because they simply love the game. American sports such as
football all have some aspect of physics that are tied into the sport. Football is not just simply
throwing a ball to a wide receiver or kicking a field goal for an extra point. There are ways in which
players, from Pop Warner to professional players alike, play the game that may look simple from a
television screen or from a stadium seat. Newton s laws of motion can be applied to many aspects in
the game of football. By learning the physics of football, a fan can become an expert on this
seemingly simple sport. To begin, explaining how the game of football works, will help any reader
understand why knowing the physics can be important. According to James Adler, from about.com,
Football is a sport played by two teams of eleven players on a rectangular field with goalposts on each
end. The offense, or the team with control of the ball, attempts to advance the ball downfield by
running or passing the ball, while the opposing team aims to stop their advance and take control of the
ball themselves. (Adler) The main objective of the game is have to most points by the end of four 12
minute quarters. To score, the quarterback tries to advance the ball up the field to score as many
touchdowns, or field goals as possible, while holding the other team to as few as possible (Adler).

Feminist Ariel In The Little Mermaid
In the Little Mermaid, feminist protagonist Ariel portrays your typical rebellious teenager as she
disobeys her family and chases after her dreams. Throughout the film Ariel makes many choices that
impact her life without thinking of the long term affects. Although the film is looked at as a Disney
classic, when analyzed through a feminist lens it encourages girls to make all the sacrifices in a
relationship and stresses the importance of beauty. Throughout the film Ariel makes all the sacrifices
in order to be with Prince Eric. When offered the chance to become a human she automatically says
yes, not thinking of the consequences that Ursula has mentioned. Being a human means she cannot go
back home. Being a human means she will not see her ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
When Ursula asks her to give up her voice she tries to argue but is eventually convinced into agreeing.
Ursula reinforces gender roles by saying You ll have your looks, your pretty face, and don t
underestimate the importance of body language. Within this scene the audience is told that physical
beauty is the most important aspect of a girl, it does not matter if a girl is smart as long as she is pretty.
Personally I think this is sending the wrong message to young kids. Disney is stressing how good
looks can get you by in life when in reality that is not true. Throughout the film Ariel is not able to
transgress through the idea of girls having to be beautiful to be loved. She ends up giving into that
ideology by relying on her appearance to get Eric to fall in love with her. But her appearance alone
does not keep Eric interested in her. Its ironic how giving up her voice ultimately led to the prince
falling for Ursula instead of herself. As soon as Eric found another pretty girl who sings like an angel,
he forgot about Ariel. Were her good looks not enough to keep him interested? Poor Ariel was left
with nothing oh wait! She brought it upon herself for being naïve. But not only is beauty stressed for
the girls in the film, but also for the males. Eric is your stereotypical Prince Charming, with his
muscular body, deep blue eyes, and courageousness. But what is lacking from this prince? Not once
throughout the whole movie are we shown Eric s intelligent side. This reiterates how physical beauty
overpowers intelligence. Once again sending another negative message to children everywhere, who
needs intelligence as long as you are good looking right? Along with that great message lets not forget
that Disney is also telling both girls and boys that whenever someone better looking comes around
they can forget

Big Brother s Language In The Book 1984 By George Orwell
The passage on pages 80 and 81 is significant because it shows how if Big Brother is able to make
everyone believe the most simple fact is different than what they know to be true, then he can change
any piece of information without opposition. By using the fear of what happens when people go
against Big Brother and the government, they can make people believe two plus two equals five (80).
Everyone knows two plus two equals four, it s one of the most basic facts and can be proven on our
fingers. If Big Brother announces that two plus two equals five, everyone will be forced, through fear,
to believe it to be true. Even though they can prove two plus two equals equals four with their fingers,

To be able to control what the populous does, Big Brother has set up telescreens and cameras
everywhere in the non Prole parts of Oceania, specifically in people s homes, that allow him and his
government to watch all party members movements and words. This surveillance allowed Big Brother
to control the populous because everyone lived from habit that became instinct in assumption that
every sound you made was heard, and, except in darkness, every movement scrutinized (3). By
forcing everyone to live knowing that everything they did was being watched, Big Brother was able to
restrict the actions and conversations of the people. People tend to act differently if they knew they
were alone compared to if they knew they were being watched. This is because when you are being
watched, you feel the need to act more appropriate and not do anything that could be considered
weird. The reason the people of Oceania were to be controlled to the point of seeming like sheep, was
because of the fear that was instilled through the Thought Police. Just being watched can partially
control someone s actions due to them not wanting to seem weird, but by placing an inescapable death
penalty on anyone that acts up, Big Brother can control them with their fear of death. This fear that

As an apprentice to her father, Hypatia continued to preserve the Greek mathematical and
astronomical heritage just as her as her father did. According to the article Hypatia by Michael Deak,
She is credited with commentaries (comments and explanations) on Apollonius of Perga s Conic and
Diophantus of Alexandria s Arithmetic, as well as an astronomical table. Apollonius of Perga s Conic
are theories created by Apollonius of Perga who was a Greek geometer, meaning he was a
mathematician who studied geometry. Specifically, the conic section dealt with hyperbolas, parabolas,

Marjane Satrapi s The Socks
In the selection The Socks by Marjane Satrapi, the author addresses her previous experience with
moving back to Tehran, Iran. Satrapi faced a culture shock due to her Europeanized lifestyle that
conflicted with the traditional conservative Islamic nature of Iran.
The author was forced to abide by standards she did not agree with, which caused her to live a binary
lifestyle in public and private. Our behavior in public and our behaviour in private were polar
opposites. (266) Being a young, innovative female in her distinct surroundings, it formed multiple
opportunity for opposition and disobedience. Our struggle was more discreet. It hinged on the little
details. (263) Satrapi yearned for freedom and made it her objective to achieve even a sliver of it. ...

wanted the freedom to express herself in even the slightest way possible, but was not granted with that
luxury. Red socks has a larger relevant significance in regards to freedom of expression along with the
author s emotional being.
Acceptance of the new life the author was trying to bring forth along with the other young girls was
widely shamed in Iran. Although the girls along with a few others had similar mindsets and beliefs,
overall it was a shamed lifestyle. The more time passed, the more I became conscious of the contrast

behind walls. (265) There was a facade being brought forth to the public while private life was entirely

Mary Shelley s Biography
Mary Shelley s own biography informs the novel Frankenstein in four important ways. Mary seems to
reflect many of her own feelings and experiences throughout the novel. She does this through using
the setting and the characters, while heavily influencing the text and storyline around her own
biography.
The first way that Mary Shelley s biography informs the novel is through the setting. The story begins
with several letters, the location of which are set in England. This connects to Mary because England
is where she was born and spent a lot of her life. Next, chapter 1 begins in the setting of Geneva,
Switzerland, which also has a connection to Mary s biography. When Mary first started writing
Frankenstein, she was staying in Geneva with friends. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
For example, the monster in Frankenstein experiences a great amount of neglect from his creator
Victor. This very negatively affected the monster, and he became angry, alone and misunderstood.
(Insert quote) These are emotions that Mary has experienced, as well. Her mother passed away only
10 days after she was born, so she was raised mostly by a nanny. Her father then remarried to their
neighbor, Ms. Godwin. Mary s new stepmother continuously favored her own two daughters over
Mary. She sent both of her children to get an education, but didn t see the need to send Mary to school.
Being treated unfairly like this caused Mary to experience a lot of loneliness throughout her
childhood. Mary was very misunderstood as a child. She reflects this through the monsters feelings of
neglect and loneliness. It seems that this part of the novel is influenced very much by Mary s own

Hyperbole In A Hanging Essay
By examining George Orwell s short story A Hanging, one can see by analyzing the hyperbole of the
dog and the prisoner dodging the puddle which illustrates how these characters signifies the
importance of each individual s life. Firstly, the dog is specifically used for over exaggeration because
it demonstrates innocence with its untamed spirit which makes it difficult for the warders to murder it
without them feeling the guilt. When the warders and the prisoner started getting relatively close to the
gallows, suddenly a bloody brute known as the dog suddenly appeared in the yard and it jumped up
trying to lick the prisoner s face. The narrator in the story used the dog as a powerful symbol to
display that all men deserve to be equally ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
However, the superintendent angrily yells because of the interruption of the execution by stating, Who
let that bloody brute in here? said the superintendent angrily. Catch it, someone! this quote illustrates
how the superintendent angrily is ordering the guards to catch the dog but the guards felt guilty to
capture such an innocent creature when the author states, Everyone stood aghast, too taken aback even
to grab at the dog. which appears that the author purposely placed this scene to demonstrate to the
reader about the importance of each individual s life. Therefore, the use of hyperbole of the dog in the
story clearly illustrates that Orwell used characters such as the guards to support the concept of the
dog trying to display the significance of a human being. Secondly, as the prisoner was being guided to
the gallows, he stepped aside to avoid the puddle. then the narrator began to express his own feelings
on the prisoner s action which states, It is curious, but till that moment I had never realized what it
means to destroy a healthy, conscious man. When I saw the prisoner step aside to avoid the puddle, I
saw the mystery, the unspeakable wrongness, of cutting a life short when it is in full

Blast and Vorticism Magazines
Blast is a key literary magazine of the English avant garde, published during 1914 and 1915. Although
founded by Wyndham Lewis, Ezra Pound holds an important post of assisting Lewis with the
publishing of the magazine, dealing with its main theme of Vorticism. Not only this, but Pounds
involvement with Imagism prior to the publication of Blast plays an influence in the way literature is
evidently shaped and associated within the magazine. With themes of Cubism and Futurism also being
evident in the magazine; emphasises the focus on providing a magazine which prides itself in
producing literature rich in artistic detail to the themes of its time. Although images and layout are a
key factor in emphasising these themes, it is the content for example poems within the magazine
relating to Vorticism, that is new in which it focuses on locating the movement and stillness within the
image .
Blast and Vorticism s roots are said to lie and be based on Pounds history with Imagism in literature,
particularly poetry, and Cubism and Futurism in arts . With Pound forming the group Imagism based
on similarly discovering new philosophies of thought and experimenting with new changes in verse
form , he was in constant pursuit for literary advancement. With the group founded in 1912, by 1914
Pound assisted Lewis in the production of Blast. With inspiration coming from Imagism s objectivity,
efficiency and creativity , Pound further strived for a style of writing in poetry which suggested

Workplace Observation Essay
In the workplace there are many different aspects of the organization. Some of the aspects or culture
of an organization are organizational diversity, dress and language, how communication flows, and
organizational policies. Below I will discuss several aspects of the company I work for and define
what the different cultures are.
How Communication Flows
As we know today there are many ways how to communicate. There is email, verbal, Internet,
intranet, etc? However, there is only two ways communications flows. There is upward
communication defined as ?communication from an employee to supervisor, supervisor to department
head, department head to vice president, and so on.? (Abbott 2005) The other flow is downward
communication, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In my organization all the different departments of the company contribute to the Policies manual. The
policy is reviewed yearly, and addendums are made. The IT dept which is the department I am in, add
to the policy?s about Internet Usage, Email usage, storage sizes of the mailboxes etc.. We clearly state
that anything, is done on the company?s computer is subject to monitoring. In many cases mangers
advise that they want a specific employee?s Internet monitored, or email monitored. We then report
back to the manger that requested it, and they take it up with Human Resources. Our rule is that a
county manager has to request it, and has to be good reasoning. Other departments, like the legal
counsel talk about arbitration, before going to any courts. The accounting dept talks about fraud, the
human resource department talks about attendance, and leave of absences, benefits etc? you get the
idea. As you can see this easily answers many question when a new employee comes on board.
Dress and Language
The Dress code is usually defined in the policy handbook to clearly state what is expected of the
employee. There is no standard set, however, in a business environment it?s expected that women and
men dress in a formal manner shirts, slacks, ties, etc? In a restaurant they may have a uniform, at the
mall it may be that stores clothing in

Hollywood Studios One day, my Mom surprised me that we were going to warm, fun Florida! We
took a long, tiring, journey to the sun country airport in Minneapolis. We walked right and found my

charge our dead video games and we waited for the long plane. Once it was ready, we grabbed our
games and hurried onto the plane. WEEEEEEEEEEEEE OOOOOOOOOO! The plane took off and
flew across the sky! I sometimes feel dizzy when the plane takes off. I watched outside as the city
grew smaller and smaller and smaller. Then the world looked flat ish. Then we went through the
clouds! Once we were super duper high, I closed my window cover and made myself comfortable.
Then I got a little tablet thing on the plane. It could watch movies or play these little mini games. I
went to the games and it was very slow and glitchy. I went to the movies and watched Eddie the Eagle
for no reason. I just picked a random movie. Once we were done flying, we entered cool places like

How Far Can It Be Argued That Popular Culture Is...
The Marxist concept of ideology is used to express the way in which the dominant group in a society
controls the norms and values of that society at the level of ideas. As they own and direct the
production of popular cultural products the dominant group are able to present their ideas as both
normal and natural and `so mystify the `real conditions of existence (Hall.1992.p348). In this way the
group holding power exercises maximum control with the minimum of conflict. The general
population accepts the status quo as inevitable, and revolution is avoided. While Marxists view this as
a matter of Capitalist control, Feminists see ideological domination as the means by which women are
encouraged to accept a subordinate role in patriarchal ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Feminist theory shares much common ground with Marxism and many of the ideas of European
Marxists have been appropriated and used by feminists. It has been suggested that this is particularly
true of the ideas of Althusser and Gramsci (Gramman and Marshment in Strinati.1995.p180). Both of
these theorists place emphasis on the idea of ideology as a means of control. Althusser suggests that
ideology is not merely inherent in popular cultural practices but becomes `material practice
(Storey.1998.p97) and a part of daily existence. For Althusser ideology is found in the customs,
traditions and patterns of behaviour of everyday life in such a way that social actors are not aware of
their participation in the acceptance and propagation of the ideas of the most powerful group in
society. Using Althusser s theories feminists may suggest that a tradition such as the celebration of
Mother s Day can be seen as valourizing that particular role for women, while failing to recognize any
other. This may lead women to see the maternal role as the most important one for them in society,
thus serving the interests of the dominant male group by encouraging women not only to become
mothers, but also to assume the position of primary child carers. Such an interpretation suggests that
many traditions and customs are to a large extent ideological.

What can Historians learn from this document about how as married man saw his role as head of the
family in mid 17th century?
The nature of this document is taken from the notebooks of Nehemiah Wallington (1818 1654). An
extract of the passages of my life (Booy, D. (end) 2007), written in 1662. The extract is one of over
fifty journals written over a twenty years period, of which seven originals remain. The purpose of this
document is described in Grell (2016 p.81) as a means of private and later public record relating of
Wallington s reflections of his religious struggle for salvation as a sinner that believes he belongs to
the Elect , those predestined for salvation. This autobiographical work provided historians with
primary source of evidence of the thoughts and beliefs of a Puritan married man, and his religious
responsibilities and relationship with his household.
To contextualize the text, Wallington s religious beliefs were taken from Protestant Lutheran and
Calvinistic influences that evolved in England as the Puritan movement, which was a non conformist
religious sects that had moved away from the Church of England Anglican practices and rituals in
search a purer, form of Protestantism. (Marshall, P. 2014 p.141). Lutheranism had idealized marriage
and the idea of holy families and Luther stated in The estate of marriage Brandt (1963) that woman is
a necessary evil, and that no household can be without such an evil . Wallington

Privacy is very rare and people do not really express their disappointment, joy or feelings. However,
there are following characteristics for Indians: family orientation, honour of both family and group,
material susses and creativity, problem solving, risk takers and experimenters, loyalty to a group,
arranged marriages, do it yourself mentality, fatalism and savy at business. Indians communication
style is high context oriented. Elderly people are always threatened with respect, talking to them
presupposes using formal and respectful forms. Indians use communication to tighten up their
relationships and to preserve harmony but not to exchange information. Additionally Indians are
extrovert, talkative, emotional, unpunctual and they mix professional and family affairs. On the whole
Indians prefer to be a member of a group and acting collectively. This is a result of the hierarchical
system in India. Indians have several rules when it is allowed for them to speak, e.g. they are allowed
to speak, if someone before began to speak with them, it is inapplicable to show emotions verbal or
non verbal in public, they should not ask direct questions to somebody they do not know well.
Furthermore, it is disrespectful to interrupt a person, they have to wait until the person gives a sign.

the politeness formula, which is normal for Europeans, e.g. they do not use greetings, valedictions or
expressions of gratitude. Indians show their gratefulness and thankfulness on other

Food Biotechnology and Dairy Product
What is Food Biotechnology?
Food biotechnology is a branch of food science that works to improve foods and its production.
Biotechnological processes which could be used to improve the food production are industrial
fermentation, plant cultures and genetic engineering.
It must be noted that it is through genetic engineering that organisms can change the DNA of a food
due to which new genetically modified food can be introduced in the market. These genetically
modified foods, which are high in demand, promotes new traits and great control as compared to the
old methods which include selective breeding and mutation breeding. (1)
History of Food Biotechnology:

It is alarming to know that there is a dispute over the use of the genetically modified food. Some
people consider GM food to be dangerous and they say that they are detrimental to health and
biodiversity would be disturbed by their use hence they must not be used. On the contrary, others
believe that using GM food would benefit the world by providing disease resistant plants and save
future hunger. There is still a debate going on whether GM food products should or should not be
used.

Better Than Revenge
A warm evening breeze blew through Reese Todd s short blonde hair as she took long strides towards
the stadium. Knowing that the roads were blocked, she walked through the palm tree lined streets.
Never had she dared explore this city even though it was only about 75 miles from her vacation home
in Cabo Frio. The crowd grew denser as she found it harder to keep moving at a constant pace and
ended up squeezing through any space she could find to get ahead. As she neared the field, screams of
excitement filled her ears, but later, those would have a different meaning. The doors flew open to the
security checkpoint and she was able to pick up her pace. The savory smell of buttery popcorn and hot
dogs blended perfectly with the sweet aromas of cotton candy and soda. The guard at the door ushered
her to the side after looking through her bag. He pulled out the gun from within and started to say into
his walkie talkie, Fellas, I think we ve found Mr. X, but not before Reese could pull out her badge and,
after careful examination, was waved through. They had been warned, she realised, about Mr. X. They
know he, or she, should be here tonight She had even overheard some terrified fans sporting 1D
merchandise talking about him. Their hands trembled as the words spilled from their mouths, knowing
that tonight might be their lasts. Reese made her way towards her seat which was almost on the floor
of the stadium, but just high enough so she could see everything that was going on

  • 2. Jonbenet Ramsey Case Being asked to come to a conclusion as to who killed JonBenet Ramsey is very challenging . This is due in part to the fact that there are multiple people who could have killed her. With that being said, I am going to do my best to demonstrate who I think had more of a motive to kill her. JonBenet Ramsey was a vibrant six year old beauty queen who was well advanced for age. I believe that one of John Ramsey s employees at Access Graphics killed JonBenet. My justifications follow. It is well known that the Ramsey s threw vibrant parties for the employees of Access Graphics. Some of these parties took place within the family home. The children partook in these festivities. Thus ,exposing the girl to a potential killer. The killer would have been able to learn the outlay of the family home. The ransom note comes into play here. In my previous complete section, I discussed the fact that there were no reported finger prints located on the ransom note when it was examined. The murderer would have to have been planning on doing said act for quite some time in order to leave no evidence behind. The autopsy report revealed death by asphyxiation associated with a skull fracture. Further examination by the coroner revealed that she ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... It is my belief that the person who killed her had in depth knowledge of the workings of the family. The little girl had to have known her killer which is why she did not scream or lash out against an intruder. The indication of sexual assault reveals that the killer believed that they may have had a relationship with the young girl. Given the fact that the girl did not appear to be fully penetrated, as evidenced by her autopsy report, indicates that the killer may have had remorse for their actions, if the girl rejected them. Instead of being found out, the killer strangled the girl in attempt to keep their identify ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Identity And Discrimination In Rudali Review a work of fiction that helped/challenged/encouraged you to reflect on questions of identity and discrimination . The work of fiction that challenged and encouraged my perceptions on identity and discrimination is a piece of short fiction called Rudali , written in Bengali by Mahasweta Devi and translated to English by Anjum Katyal. This text serves as an epitome of class, caste and gender subalternity in the historic context of brahmanical patriarchy. The protagonist individualises the discrimination exerted on low caste communities via the triple oppression faced by them under these structures of society (i.e caste, class and gender) and tries to subvert these hegemonic structures from within. The title of the book, Rudali ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Although in many ways this text can be seen as a radical feminist text, but Devi dismisses the idea as she is not a feminist. She feels that it is a mere coincidence that some professions are gendered and doesn t regard women as a separate entity but treats their oppression as linked to a wider oppressive structure controlled by caste. She thinks that to ignore the latter in the shadow of the former, is a denial of history . But Usha Ganguli in her introductory text Metamorphosis of Rudali presents a different view and says that in many ways this could be read as an enabling feminist text with the empowerement of Sanichri, the bonding between the two characters, the importance given to household chores, the common experiences of discrimination of women along class lines and the rare sensitivity expressed by the author towards women in general. Through this novella, Devi discusses and rethinks questions of class, caste and gender and how such structures affect women by giving a powerful voice to the gendered subaltern and thus rescuing them from the dark recesses of third world ... • 4. Docetism In Gnosticism One of the early heresies was Docetism, which held that Jesus only seemed human. They based this belief on an assumption that God can t become flesh. Docetism treats John 1:14 as figurative where it states that the Word was made flesh. Part of their reasoning for this belief can be attributed to the view of flesh as sinful which would result as a problem for God, who is divine, to become imprisoned inside. However, Jesus was nailed to a cross and real blood flowed from his hands and side that is proof that Jesus was in fact human. In Gnosticism it was believed that the trinity was three hidden spiritual realities. They tended to think in the form of good against bad with the spirit being good and the physical being bad. It can be confusing ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The problem with the description from Apollonarius is that it implies that Jesus is just a flesh suit that God is controlling like a puppet. To be fully human Jesus must possess not only a flesh body but also a human mind and soul. Nestorius taught that Jesus was two persons with two natures. In our modern definition this would be schizophrenic or twins. Nestorius viewed Jesus as God and man working together but this goes against the idea that Jesus is God. It simply has Jesus just working with God. Eutyches takes the approach of monophysitism and claims that Jesus has one nature because he wanted to avoid separating Jesus into two different entities. His view makes Jesus a hybrid of God and man. Finally to try and put an end to the debates the Council of Chalcedon was held in AD 451. They set four parameters to define how the church understands Jesus that included Jesus as fully God, Jesus as fully man, Jesus as one person, and Jesus having two natures. This was good because instead of the focus being on what was wrong the parameters focused on what was right. The parameters also work in harmony with the Biblical description of the TrinityAugustine s life pursuit was after pleasure and delight. He was not only about seeking joy for himself but also for ... I had great success that led to multiple individual awards awarded to me from the league. But let me address this clearly. I ain t no b*tch. I think it was time for me to get out of Oklahoma City because were not having success at all. We ve made it to the conference finals or a deep run in the playoffs every year after my arrival but I think this isn t enough. I wanted to join the team that just beat us and form a superteazm that will dominate the league for the years to come. • 6. Deviance Is Socially Constructed Deviance is any behavior that does not conform to social expectations. The statement, Deviance is socially constructed means that because individuals that rebel against the norms of social group, and use deviant behavior, others will join in and this creates a whole new social group. For instance, gay marriage. This has always been considered something wrong and people shouldn t do it. Although, people started to become deviant and say that it isn t wrong and that people should be able to love who they so please. Now, since the summer of 2015, gay marriage has been legalized all across the nation and all of these people fit under one social group. • 7. Corporal Punishment Should Be Accepted Into Society INTRODUCTION Corporal punishment, or otherwise known as spanking, has been a topic of discussion for many years. Opinions on whether corporal punishment should be accepted into society have lingered considering there are so many variables that cause people to have diverse opinions about the subject. It should not be a surprise that most studies prove when parents favor corporal punishment, they tend to be more likely to use it with their children (Flynn, 1998). Not only does the age of a person being surveyed affect opinions on physical punishment, but religion is also a huge factor when it comes to supporting corporal punishment. Multi generations could potentially all have different views on the use of corporal punishment, like ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... There were 212 participants whose age ranged from 17 to 54. The majority were non parents, which is beneficial because it shows how participants allow the way they grew up to affect the way they will raise their children. The average age was 23.8 years, but for non parents the average age was 19.4 and for parents it was 36.4 years. This left a wide variety of perspectives to be seen within the study. Although, this study showed no correlation between the age of the respondents to their views on keeping or disregarding section 43. While in a similar study, people between the age of 20 to 30 years were less likely to use corporal punishment within their home, unless they received corporal punishment as a child (Schenck, Lyman, Bodin, 2000). Although, the 8% of respondents who reported that they were victims of physical abuse as children were significantly less likely to recommend corporal punishment. A different point of view showed that people above the age 30 we likely to recommend corporal punishment whether they received it as a child or not, and no matter if they had children. Regardless if they received corporal punishment as a child, the older generations were still likely to recommend using physical punishment based off other perspectives that they had seen. • 8. Christian Brothers Academy I can surely say that my senior year would not be nearly as enjoyable without the GURU program. The ability to facilitate an engaging discussion with not one but two groups of freshmen at Christian Brothers Academy is something I look forward to every cycle. By discussing some relatively controversial subject topics with these freshmen, I put myself in a role model position, one to influence positive decision making in order for these kids to make their own transition into Academy Men, to really make the most out of their four years at CBA. I have learned a lot about the ten freshmen that I oversee. I can say that I know each of them pretty well now. But finally, I can say that I have also learned a lot about myself over this past semester ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Also, it definitely affects my worldview with God and my Christian morality in the context of a LaSallian school. We owe everything that we have become to God, and personally I owe a lot to Christian Brothers Academy for making me the Academy Man that I am today. Moreover, I see myself as a liaison between these freshmen and the CBA faculty, staff, and family in order for them to eventually transform themselves in their lives while keeping God as a major focus. By embracing my own self value through Christian morality, I must also encourage these freshmen that they are valuable because of their relationship with God in this LaSallian school, exemplifying the teachings of St. John Baptist de La Salle. As an example, Peck States in The Road Less Traveled, this feeling of being valuable is a cornerstone of self discipline because when one considers oneself valuable one will take care of oneself in all ways that are necessary. Self discipline is self caring (Peck 24). Self discipline is so important in my own life, and I look to teach the freshmen the importance of it as well. My own relationship with God is one based on self caring, the petitioning for forgiveness and the constant gratification that goes along with it. When it comes down to it, we all have the free will to believe what we want to believe, however, it is integral to these ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 9. An Analysis Of Maya Angelou And Alice Walker Maya Angelou and Alice Walker are two well known contemporary African American writers. Although both women are from different generations they share some of the same qualities and experiences. Both women used their past experiences of tragedy and hardship as a stepping stool for growth by turning that pain into what now are famous stories and poems. For most writers, majority of their work stem from their own experiences, and for both Alice and Maya a great deal of their works regarded the dilemmas many African American people faced during that time such as prejudice and discrimination. They were each so passionate about equal rights for colored people that they got involved with the civil rights movement. Maya Angelou participated in the movement in the 1960s by touring the country with Dr. Martin Luther King Jr as he prepared for the Poor People s Campaign . Alice Walker participated by writing a novel in 1976 called Meridian, which is known as the meditation on the modern civil rights movement. Both women also had strong views about equality for African American women, and soon became known as Feminist. They used their platform as writers to express the challenges many black women faced, as well as give women like them a voice by promoting gender equality. Although Maya Angelou and Alice Walker share these similarities, there are still unique facts that separate these writers apart. • 10. The Enduring Love Play Analysis THE LAND ABOVE presents as a historical character driven drama. The script offers an excellent main protagonist, whose life story is both dramatic and fascinating, thus providing a great potential for an interesting biopic. The story also provides some memorable combat scenes and shows a strong potential for compelling visual portrayal. Nevertheless, the overall dramatic premise with George Washington trying to demythologize himself has room for more development in the areas of the structure and pace, as well as further character development. Unfortunately, the main plot is distracted by a multitude of subplots, characters, and events many more than feels manageable within a feature film. As result, the overall pacing of the story often ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... 79 several officers suddenly come to dialogue without previous notification. Clarify what is the main theme/morale of the story. What is the lesson to be learnt by the character? Depending on the definition of the focus in character s journey, the structure should reflect the change he is about to undergo. For example, if Washington is to change from naïve boy into independent man (who will place a significant role in creation of independent country) he needs to learn the truth about political ambitions of the English, starting at perceiving them as allies in the beginning and continue to show their true colors as the story progresses. As things stand, the English seem to behave the same way throughout the story without a change. The current script version suggests the story is to explain how the legend about the 1st US president came to be and his own attempt to demythologize his own story. The story would need to provide more clues as to what is the motivation behind this, as well as more information for audience to compare the reality with fabrication of his imagination. • 13. The Maccabees Rebelled Against The Seleucid Empire From 1000 B.C.E. to 100 C.E. the Jews generally did not have much power. Throughout this time period the Jews were either attempting to gain power, under someone else s power, or losing their previously achieved status in power. However, in defining power as military strength, the ability to maintain distinctiveness from other people, or the ability to shape people s practices and beliefs, the amount of power the Jews had fluctuated slightly, but mostly remained low. If power is strictly define by military strength and presence, then the Jews had virtually no power during this time period. People watch them for pure fun and entertain or because they simply love the game. American sports such as football all have some aspect of physics that are tied into the sport. Football is not just simply throwing a ball to a wide receiver or kicking a field goal for an extra point. There are ways in which players, from Pop Warner to professional players alike, play the game that may look simple from a television screen or from a stadium seat. Newton s laws of motion can be applied to many aspects in the game of football. By learning the physics of football, a fan can become an expert on this seemingly simple sport. To begin, explaining how the game of football works, will help any reader understand why knowing the physics can be important. According to James Adler, from about.com, Football is a sport played by two teams of eleven players on a rectangular field with goalposts on each end. The offense, or the team with control of the ball, attempts to advance the ball downfield by running or passing the ball, while the opposing team aims to stop their advance and take control of the ball themselves. (Adler) The main objective of the game is have to most points by the end of four 12 minute quarters. Throughout the film Ariel makes many choices that impact her life without thinking of the long term affects. Although the film is looked at as a Disney classic, when analyzed through a feminist lens it encourages girls to make all the sacrifices in a relationship and stresses the importance of beauty. Ursula reinforces gender roles by saying You ll have your looks, your pretty face, and don t underestimate the importance of body language. Within this scene the audience is told that physical beauty is the most important aspect of a girl, it does not matter if a girl is smart as long as she is pretty. Personally I think this is sending the wrong message to young kids. Disney is stressing how good looks can get you by in life when in reality that is not true. Throughout the film Ariel is not able to transgress through the idea of girls having to be beautiful to be loved. She ends up giving into that ideology by relying on her appearance to get Eric to fall in love with her. But her appearance alone does not keep Eric interested in her. Its ironic how giving up her voice ultimately led to the prince falling for Ursula instead of herself. As soon as Eric found another pretty girl who sings like an angel, he forgot about Ariel. Were her good looks not enough to keep him interested? Poor Ariel was left with nothing oh wait! She brought it upon herself for being naïve. But not only is beauty stressed for the girls in the film, but also for the males. Eric is your stereotypical Prince Charming, with his muscular body, deep blue eyes, and courageousness. But what is lacking from this prince? Not once throughout the whole movie are we shown Eric s intelligent side. This reiterates how physical beauty overpowers intelligence. Once again sending another negative message to children everywhere, who needs intelligence as long as you are good looking right? Along with that great message lets not forget that Disney is also telling both girls and boys that whenever someone better looking comes around they can forget ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

By using the fear of what happens when people go against Big Brother and the government, they can make people believe two plus two equals five (80). Hyperbole In A Hanging Essay By examining George Orwell s short story A Hanging, one can see by analyzing the hyperbole of the dog and the prisoner dodging the puddle which illustrates how these characters signifies the importance of each individual s life. Firstly, the dog is specifically used for over exaggeration because it demonstrates innocence with its untamed spirit which makes it difficult for the warders to murder it without them feeling the guilt. Therefore, the use of hyperbole of the dog in the story clearly illustrates that Orwell used characters such as the guards to support the concept of the dog trying to display the significance of a human being. It has been suggested that this is particularly true of the ideas of Althusser and Gramsci (Gramman and Marshment in Strinati.1995.p180). Both of these theorists place emphasis on the idea of ideology as a means of control. Althusser suggests that ideology is not merely inherent in popular cultural practices but becomes `material practice (Storey.1998.p97) and a part of daily existence. For Althusser ideology is found in the customs, traditions and patterns of behaviour of everyday life in such a way that social actors are not aware of their participation in the acceptance and propagation of the ideas of the most powerful group in society. Using Althusser s theories feminists may suggest that a tradition such as the celebration of Mother s Day can be seen as valourizing that particular role for women, while failing to recognize any other. This may lead women to see the maternal role as the most important one for them in society, thus serving the interests of the dominant male group by encouraging women not only to become mothers, but also to assume the position of primary child carers.
