This document provides information from a lecture on the working of a window air conditioner. It discusses that air conditioners remove heat and humidity from indoor air and place it outside to cool down homes on hot summer days. It then shows a line diagram and explains the working process - the refrigerant gas is compressed, condenses while losing heat outdoors, expands through a valve and absorbs indoor heat in the cooling coils before repeating the cycle. The indoor air is cooled and dehumidified in this process.
