What is WordPress?
• WordPress is an open source
    CMS, often used as a blog publishing
    application powered by PHP and
    MySQL.
•   It has many features including a
    plugin architecture, template
    system, and gravatar.
•   currently 55,595,208 WordPress
    sites in the world.
•   Get started by downloading software
    script or joining WordPress.com
•   completely customizable and can be
    used for almost anything.
Main Influences of WordPress
• full content management
    system…if you can imagine it, it’s
    possible.
•   multiple plug-ins and widgets
    allowing users to extend the
    abilities of WordPress beyond
    original installment
•   The multi-user feature allows up
    to 10 users each with different
    levels of authorization.
•   mobile usage allows you to
    comment effortlessly along with
    composing posts and location
    mapping
•   ALWAYS be connected

• Over 341 million people view more
    than 2.5 billion pages each month.
