Taverna is a free and open-source workflow management system that allows researchers to design and execute scientific workflows. It was developed by the University of Manchester to support in silico experiments in biology. Taverna provides a graphical user interface for designing workflows using a variety of distributed data sources and web services without having to learn complex programming.
