program", Inclusion without Borders community,
Global Resource Center on Inclusive Education,
Institute on Community Integration, University of
Minnesota
• create and support a dynamic, inclusive education learning
community of diverse education professionals to work
with students with disabilities and their parents, with the
overall goal of enhancing the implementation of inclusive
education practices across Ukraine.
• develop, implement and sustain a coordinated training
program focused on the high fidelity implementation of
promising and evidenced-based inclusive education
practices.
The project is designed to reach regions beyond large cities
to assure that teachers and parents of children with
disabilities living in more remote areas are part of the
inclusive education reform in Ukraine.
The primary goals of the project are to:
Long term results
• A dynamic inclusive education community composed of a network of
education professionals in field of inclusive education and parents.
• A Ukrainian National Inclusive Education Consortium composed of
multiple universities committed to the implementation of inclusive
education policy and practices with the capacity to both produce both
new educators with an understanding of and ability to effectively
implement IE practices and a capacity to serve as a resource center
for schools.
• A variety of inclusive education schools located in the targeted
regions that can serve as model sites that have been supported to
showcase inclusive practices.

Focus group in Ivano-Frankivsk. Seminar Without borders.
Collaborating in focus groups educators, students and parents discussed
successes and barriers in introducing inclusive education practices,
identified and analyzed training and resource needs as well as pre- and in-
training of teaching staff. The recommendations were transcribed,
translated, sent to all project participants and published online.
