How Large Is The Current U.S. Budget Deficit And How Has
How large is the current U.S. budget deficit and how has it changed over the last few years? The
projected Unites States budget deficit for fiscal year 2017 is a staggering $559 billion dollars. A
budget deficit occurs when the government spends more than it receives in revenue over a specific
period of time (Schiller, Hill, Wall, 2013, p. 251). Currently the US government runs on a fiscal year
(FY) which begins October 1st each year. The projected rate of 2017 s deficit is 17.6 % of expected
revenues of $3.4 trillion which is only slightly lower than FY 2016. The 2016 deficit represented 3.2
% of gross domestic product (GDP) rising from 2.4% in FY 2015 (Congressional Budget Office,
2017). If the average American household ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Food, tents, muskets, and ammunition were not cheap, and Congress was failing to meet these new
expenditures. They went so far as to print new money, our first look at currency manipulation
(Schiller, Hill, Wall, 2013). The Founding Fathers would not be able to grasp that our nation never has
never been debt free. At the time of this writing the US National debt was $19,975,211,704, and
changed over the time of typing in the figure (Federal Reserve, 2017). National debt is accumulated
debt of the federal government (Schiller, Hill, Wall, 2013, p. 261). This astronomical figure is difficult
to fully grasp. To break it down in simple terms; that amounts to $61,55 per US citizen, and $166,775
per tax payer. With the median income at just over $30,000, there is simply no way the nation can pay
the debt off by raising taxes alone (Federal Reserve, 2017). At issue, who owns this debt? The US
Citizen does, strangely enough at 65.6%. Social Security owns roughly 16%, other federal entities
own 13% and the Federal Reserve owns an additional 12%. The other 34.4% of US debt is owned by
other countries and foreign interests (Patton, 2014). This could potentially lead to national security
issues if the foreign investors decided to cash in Treasury securities all at once. That is not likely as
the United States is still one of the most secure places to invest. In addition, being arguably the most
powerful military on

Analysis Of The Movie Falling Down
The movie Falling Down portrays many examples of the movie reflecting, influencing, and changing
society. The movie reflects society s many flaws such as inflation of prices and unneeded budget
spending. The movie also influences others to point out society s flaws by using force. Finally, the
movie changes society by showing the movie in the point of view of a person that is classified as a
realist. In the movie, the main character, Michael Douglas walks into a convenience store and intends
to buy a Coke. But, the store owner says that the Coke is $1. Douglas tells the store owner he is wrong
and that it should cost .50 cents. Douglas later on a rampage, asks how much other food items are
worth and he then finds out that the food products are way too overpriced. In retaliation, he destroys
the food items with a club. He does this until the store owner agrees on the price of .50 cents. Another
example of Falling Down reflecting on the flaws of society is when Douglas confronts the
construction worker on unneeded budget spending. Douglas tells the construction worker saying that
the road being shut down to make a tunnel is ridiculous and a waste of taxpayers money and to show
his frustration, he uses a rocket launcher to blow up the tunnel. In conclusion, this is how Michael
Douglas reflects on society s flaws. In order to retaliate against society s flaws, Michael Douglas uses
force. After Michael was refused the sale of a can of Coke for .50 cents, he attacks the store

Band T-Shirt Disruptions
Most teenage boys and girls love showing what the like by how they act and how they dress. For Ben,
he wore different types of band t shirts. However, due to the recent changes of the Hamilton Middle
School rules performed by Principal Carter, Ben wore his band tee and soon after got suspended.
Principal Carter set a rule on banning all band tees, saying that they were causing arguments and
distracting kids from their education. According to the rule, Carter may not make a rule against the t
shirts unless there is good evidence that they actually cause a disruption in and between classes.
Therefore, Ben should not be suspended due to the fact that his shirt caused no disruption.
First of all, band t shirts have not caused any disruptions

Egyptian Origins: On the basis of certain tomb drawings, which depict feet being massaged in a
particular position, Egyptians are also believed to be practising Reflexology like system in ancient
times. In a tomb at the huge burial ground in Egypt, there is a famous to wall painting dating back to
2330 BCE. According to the translation of the hieroglyphics, the patient is saying don t hurt me while
a practitioner replies I shall act so that you praise me. It is said that new inventions leave behind many
well established systems, though temporarily. Truly, with the advent of certain new pathies,
Reflexology and acupuncture received some setback but these systems could not be ignored
altogether. Their abiding qualities again attracted the attention of men in medical profession as well as
others. It was during the year 1582 that two distinguished European physicians, Dr. Adamus and Dr. A
tatis, brought out a book on Zone Therapy which gave eminence to this primitive system of treatment.
Modern Origins (zone theory): Zone therapy was the precursor to modern reflexology, which was

The Sinking Of The Titanic Essay
On April 10, 1912, the Titanic, largest ship afloat, left Southampton, England on her maiden voyage to
New York City. (The sinking of the Titanic) There were 2,200 women, men, children, and work crew
members that made the voyage over to the United States, but little did they know that only 705 would
actually step foot on United States territory. This tragedy struck over 100 years ago, but is still
constantly brought up by many people to this day. But one reason that it s still brought up is because
of the award winning movie, but how does the sinking of the Titanic reflect its time period? The only
things that allow us to know how it affected the time period is, how the ship was made, there clothing,
different level of people class, and lastly how the ship was ran. What made us understand this tragic
event much better though, well the movie that won a ton of academy awards helped breakdown this
historical event. The award winning movie was produced in December of 1997. They started
producing the movie in 1995, it cost over $200 million to create the movie. They recreated the ship in
Baja, California, they used computers and scaled models to recreate the ship and the sinking of the
ship. The main actors of the movie were Jack Dawson (played by Leonardo DiCaprio), Rose Dewitt
Bukater (played by Kate Winslet). An interesting fact about the movie is, the two main characters
weren t actually passengers on the ship, the names were just made up for the movie. However, they

Lion King And Hamlet Similarities
The second similarity is the correlation between Hamlet s uncle Claudius and Simba s uncle named
Scar (Gavin). Both of these characters are the brothers of the king (Zeffirelli, Hamlet) (Allers, The
Lion King). In the film Hamlet and Allers s The Lion King, both characters take a throne that is not
rightfully theirs. These characters are jealous, power hungry villains. These two antagonists are very
much hated by everyone that has seen the play or movie. During Hamlet, Claudius steals his brother s
throne, marries his sister in law, and tries to kill his nephew Hamlet (Zeffirelli). In a similar fashion
for The Lion King, Scar kills Mufasa, takes his brother s place in the palace, and orders his servants to
kill Simba (Allers). While these two ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Claudius kills Elder Hamlet and Scar kills Mufasa. Not only do these characters kill their brother, they

angle, but they betray their nephew by forcing him into exile. The feeling of being an exiled child
haunts both characters (Gavin). This causes an immediate hatred when Hamlet and Simba discover the
truth about what happened to their fathers. This betrayal is very evident in each story and is
impossible to not see. This theme also caused revengeful actions for Hamlet and

How Does Michelle Obama Use Ethos In Equal Rights For Women
The two speeches I will be comparing in this essay are Michelle Obama s Speech at the 2016
Democratic National Convention and Shirley Chisholm s Equal Rights For Women Speech because in
my opinion they re great speeches and they both used the appeals in the rhetorical triangle in order to
prove their point and convince the audience. They both reach out to the audience by the choice of
words they use and the way they word their sentences. Michelle Obama s speech she mainly uses all
three rhetorical appeals logos, pathos, and ethos. Shirley Chisholm s speech uses two of the three
rhetorical triangle appeals pathos, and ethos.
The central message of Michelle Obama s speech is that children are the ones that will help shape the

The first example of why I believe this is because she uses powerful statements such as We know that
our words and actions matter not just to our girls, but to children across this country kids who tell us, I
saw you on TV, I wrote a report on you for school. Kids like the little black boy who looked up at my
husband, his eyes wide with hope, and he wondered, Is my hair like yours.? By saying that people s
actions matter to children she s capable of making the audience feel compassionate, she also shows
that she doesn t care about herself that much, she keeps putting children and everyone else in the
country before herself. When she says The little black boy who looked up at my husband, his eyes
wide with hope she helps the audience see how children hope to be like certain adults when they grow
up because children tend to want to grow up and be like their role models. Another great example to
why I believe her speech was better at persuading her target is when she states Police officers and
protesters in Dallas who all desperately want to keep our children safe. People who lined up in
Orlando to donate blood because it could have been their son, their daughter in that club. Leaders like
Tim Kaine who show our kids what decency and devotion looks

What Are The Advantages And Disadvantages Of Stabil Brickss
CHAPTER 1
INTRODUCTION
1.1 INTRODUCTION
Earthen construction has evolved with mankind and creates housing opportunities world wide.
Building with stabilized compressed earthen bricks (SCEBs) is becoming more popular due to the low
cost, relative abundance of materials, and quality product performance. The majority of developing
countries are today faced with an ever increasing problem of providing sufficient yet low cost housing
in sufficient numbers. In the last few decades, shelter conditions have been worsening: resources have
remained insufficient, housing demand has increased and the urgency to provide immediate practical
solutions has become more critical.

Chakra Number Three The Solar Plexus (Manipura) Chakra
The solar plexus chakra is about accepting your place within the greater universe, and about the
degree of personal power you allow yourself to manifest. To harness your personal power you need to
manage emotional issues effectively, manage your ego based responses to life issues; and allow
yourself to shine, shine like the sun this chakra center represents; which naturally is done by releasing
negative emotions to free up your energies to deal with better things.
The health of this chakra center bears largely on your perception of who you are, and how you
perceive and react to the opinions others hold of you. Your solar plexus chakra is also a center of
psychic awareness. The Sanskrit word Manipura means city of jewels .

Essay On Lucid Dream
I just stared at my desk stunned. I kept asking myself if what I heard was true or if I was just in a lucid

I could tell that this was definitely not a dream when I looked over to my friend Robert and his face
was flushed of color, just like mine. I woke up on the 21st of October and started off my morning like
any other: I ate breakfast, took my shower, got dressed and then I headed off to the bus. Little did I

ABSTRACT
Background: With the incidence and the prevalence of chronic kidney disease (CKD) increasing
worldwide and its economic repercussions, a detailed haematological workup of such patients is
necessary to detect the type of anaemia, as there is a general tendency to consider anaemia to be of the
normocytic normochromic type. However in India, a co existing iron deficiency is also common.
Anaemia is an independent risk ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Materials and Methods: This observational study included 100 patients of chronic kidney disease, who
were included, irrespective of their age, sex, aetiology and their clinical profiles. A thorough clinical
examination and evaluation were conducted, which included serum iron studies. By using Chi square
analysis, the parameters which were used for a statistical correlation were the levels of anaemia with
respect to the stages of the kidney disease, the type and the severity of anaemia, thrombocytopaenia
with the bleeding time, leucocytosis and elevated ESR values.
Results: Although most of the anaemia was of the normocytic type, nearly a third of the patients had
microcytic hypochromic and a mixed type of anaemia. Those with a microcytic hypochromic picture
correlated with a severe degree of anaemia. The elevated Erythrocyte Sedimentation Rate (ESR) levels
were more distributed in the lower levels of the Glomerular Filtration Rate (GFR). There was no
association between the platelet levels and the bleeding time. The leucocytosis was not necessarily
associated with infections.
Conclusions: It is pertinent to detect and treat subclinical iron deficiency in patients with CKD and to
not over investigate the minor haematological variations.

SUBJECT: Jeremiah Cranston/Coastal Drillers, Inc.
Recently, Jeremiah Cranston contacted our office in regards to him possibly providing services under
a consulting agreement for Coastal Drillers, Inc. He is concerned about the stock redemption that was

him regarding the redemption.
Facts: Coastal Drillers, Inc. is owned 100% by the Cranston family. Six years ago Jeremiah Cranston
redeemed all of his directly owned stock in Coastal Drillers. This redemption resulted in a qualified

Rul. 70 104, 1970 1 C.B. 66 (1970), is that services from the consulting agreement by the father show
a prohibited interest within §302(c)(2)(A)(i). The attribution to him would be terminated due to stock
attribution rules of §318, which states that stock owned by family members individually may be
reattributed to him through estate, trust, partnership or corporation of which he is a stockholder.
Therefore the redemption does not qualify as a termination of his shareholder s interest within the
meaning of §302(b)(3) of the Code.
In a Tax Court case from 1974, Estate of Lennard v. Comm., 61 T.C. 554 (1974), the judgment of
Congress was not to include independent contractors which possessed no financial stake in the
corporation as retaining an interest in the corporation for attribution waiver rules. The Ninth Circuit
Court of Appeals rejected this test by the Tax Court in Lynch v. Comm., 86 2 USTC ¶9731. The Court
held that taxpayers providing post redemption services either as an independent contractor or
employee, held an interest prohibited by §302 (c)(2)(A)(i). Mr. Cranston would fall under the
jurisdiction of the Ninth Circuit Court because he is a resident of California, and the higher court
prevails. Since the Ninth Circuit Court is a higher court than the Tax Court, the Lynch v. Comm case
law prevails over the case law of the Estate of Lennard v. Comm.
Reasoning: Coastal Drillers, Inc. offer for Jeremiah to serve as an

The True Face of Lowbrow Humor Essay
Following Chaucer s description of the Miller in the General Prologue, The Miller s Tale reveals a
man who is more complex than his appearance initially suggests. The Miller s Tale is a fabliau that
consists of events of cuckoldry, foolishness, and secrets (1720, 1718, and 1719). Given the bawdy
humor of his story, the Miller would seem to be crude and superficial. As the tale unfolds, it depicts
how the norms of society trap John s wife, Alison, in her marriage. Despite his fondness for vulgarity
and fraudulence, the Miller is surprisingly sympathetic toward Alison. In his attempt to outdo the
Knight, the Miller sacrifices decorum for the sake of entertainment, demonstrating his coarse and
rebellious nature. The Miller s bawdy ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Similarly, the Miller s characters use guile as frequently as the Miller does. In their affair, both
Nicholas and Alison devise a plan to trick the jealous John. While speaking to John alone, Nicholas
warns him of a flood to come and states he must not waste words on the wise; however, Nicholas
tricks the so called wise carpenter and has intercourse with John s wife after John falls asleep (1727).
Furthermore, Absolom begs for a kiss from Alison, but she beard[s] him, another instance of bawdy
deceit (1730). Thus, the disposition toward treachery that Chaucer notes is evident in the Miller s
characters as they trick multiple people, actions which exemplify the Miller s immoral nature.
Although the Miller is a coarse and deceptive individual, he reveals a sympathetic nature in his tacit
approval of Alison s actions. Chaucer depicts the Miller as a big beefed yokel, who can break a door
by running at it with his head (1712). Because of these physical characteristics, most readers would
assume that he is a strong, dense, and churlish man. However, reflecting on Cato s words that man
should marry his like, the Miller notes that Alison is trapped in her marriage to a man older than she,
an insight that shows not only his empathy but also his intelligence (1720). Moreover, the Miller
portrays each man in a negative light throughout the tale but not Alison: he describes the

What Is Alcatraz Prison
Alcatraz Penitentiary harbored some of this country s worst criminals from 1934 until its closing in
1963. This prison was located on Alcatraz Island, which was in the San Francisco Bay. It was housed
on this island so the prisoners would not be tempted to escape. This prison was shut down because of
the high costs to keep it running. Although many prisoners attempted to escape, the prison claimed
that all of them failed at it. Alcatraz was set apart and on an island, it was greatly guarded because it
once was a fort, and the inmates were only allowed outside for one hour each day. Attempting to
escape Alcatraz without a ride was extremely difficult. The water was really cold, and it was hard to
attempt swimming away without getting spotted. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Two brothers, and a fellow inmate disappeared and were never found. The prison reported that they
drowned in their attempt to cross the bay, but there has never been any evidence to prove this theory.
This attempt was in June of 1962, just a nine months before the prison closed its doors. These
prisoners escaped by crawling through a hole they dug in the walls of the prison, and climbed up onto
the roof. They used paper mache look alike heads and placed them in their bunks to buy them time to
escape. Supposedly, the men made a makeshift raft and paddles to cross the bay. Since then the three
men haven t been found. Altogether, Alcatraz Penitentiary was a pretty tough prison to escape, and
maybe that is why the government placed the worse criminals there. Out of thirty six men who
attempted to escape, only three went without being captured. Over fifty years after its closing,
Alcatraz is still the most infamous prison of this country. This prison is so popular that it receives over
1.3 million visitors each year, and it s one of San Francisco s biggest tourist attractions. While this
prison is said to be inescapable that s mostly to do with the government trying to keep its reputation
up. Being that the prison open for nearly thirty years and only three prisoners were said to escape, it

How Brands Gain Successful Exposure On The Market, And The...
5.1 KNOW THE RULES
The main aim of this study was to investigate the ways brands gain successful exposure in the market,
and the way they build relationships with consumers. Upon researching, it was found that there are
certain brands that do not necessarily follow the current advised procedures for this practice. One of
these brands is Apple Inc., and being one of the most cherished brands of all times, it was decided that
an investigation on its consumers behaviour would possibly shed light over the research question: Are
there exceptions to the current rules in the practice of brand communications and exposure? . To be
able to raise the hypothesis of the exception, the current procedures for successful brand exposure and
communications, were examined and analysed, and then compared to the survey s results on Apple s
consumers opinions.
5.2 SUMMARY OF THE STUDY
The review of literature has provided important information on how the 21st century market is shaped
and influenced by the digital technologies. It was observed that the direct effect derived from the
cultural transformation of the digital ages, has created new ways of receiving information and new
forms of communication amongst people. Consequently, it has also altered relationships between
brands and consumers.
Most experts are suggesting that brands should adjust according to the new rules of the market, which
imply that online existence is essential for achieving successful brand communications and

You might ask how this information applies to his thesis: Why video games matter? All of this
information provides logical facts that interest gamers around the world. The game provides a
traditional narrative that allows for an experience framed in terms of wandering and lonesomeness, a

Bachelors programs also put a broader focus on ethics, religion and spirituality, research, global
awareness and public health, as well as nursing leadership and management (GCU, n.d.). Nursing care
is focused on the assessment, nursing diagnoses, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patients.
This nursing process can also be implemented in aspects outside of nursing and on the nursing field as
a collective group. The nursing role is evolving, following the process the outcomes have to be
evaluated and put into perspective. Research is being completed the conclusions are all the same, the
higher education of nursing care the better the patient outcomes. In an article published in Health
Services Research in August 2008 that examined the effect of nursing practice environments on
outcomes of hospitalized cancer patients undergoing surgery, Dr. Christopher Friese and colleagues
found that nursing education level was significantly associated with patient outcomes. Nurses
prepared at the baccalaureate level were linked with lower mortality and failure to rescue rates. The
authors conclude that moving to a nurse workforce in which a higher proportion of staff nurses have at
least a baccalaureate level education would result in substantially fewer adverse outcomes for patients.

My Love-Hate Relationship With My High School Principal
Starting my senior year, my high school got a new principal causing a big change. During my senior
my principal from freshman to junior year was fired and a new principal was brought on. I went to a
private Jewish school and the way that they bring in money is from tuition and donors, and the school
felt that in order to get more money they needed to bring in a new principal and fire the former one.
The reason they felt that they had to fire Mrs. Grossman, the former principal, was because Mrs.
Grossman was perceived as a mean old woman who was out to get everyone, everyone had a love hate
relationship with her, and because of this it would turn prospective freshman from coming to the
school. In reality, Mrs. Grossman did seem mean at first but that is only in the beginning, in the
beginning everyone is scared of her and hates whatever she has to say, but once you get to know her
you realize that she really does have everyone best intention at heart and she only wants to do what s
best for you. In order to realize that about Mrs. Grossman you really have to give it time and get a
chance to know her. Incoming freshman didn t realize that in the beginning because they didn t get to

Should Steroids Be Legal In Professional Sports Essay
Should steroids be made legal in professional sports?
Strength, power, energy, pain, and corruption; these are the pros and cons of steroids and other
performance enhancing drugs, PEDs. Year after year every sport has had its issues with athletes using
these illegal drugs to help their performance on the field. Many trust that allowing steroids and other
PEDs to be legal would help professional sports, because it will make the game more fair and equal.
Even though PEDs are illegal, athletes still find ways to use them and not get caught. Others aren t so

People might want to see a more interesting game, but most of these games are interesting themselves.
In football there are many injuries every year and season. By making football players stronger, it
would increase the chance of injuries even though football has had enough concussions over the years.
The fans, however, want more. Year after year we always hear about how there needs to be better
safety in football; that these guys are too much for a helmet to handle. Giving PEDs to professional
athletes who are strong enough to hurt someone even if they have full protection would only make it
easier for them to give a person an injury, whether it is short term, like a sprain, or long term, like a
concussion. Naturally, the fans of sports want to see hard hitting plays, whether it be one man tackling
another player hard, a man jumping over another to slam a basketball down hard, or one man hitting a
ball over a fence. But by making these types of plays more frequent, it would just make the sports dull
again. Then fans would want to push athletes limits more, causing injuries to increase more as

Homeland Generation Research Paper
The Homeland Generation. The Post Millennials Name is Now Official
The White House recently released a report where they labeled the youngest generation the Homeland
Generation. A storm of speculations immediately hit the internet. How could the U.S. government
choose such a paranoid and xenophobic sounding name? Was this a creepy joke? Some claimed the
White House took the name out of thin air. Others accused the government of deliberately spreading
shivers of Orwellian terror. Others again implied the White House took the name from the Showtime
political series with the same name; not bothering to find out the generational moniker predates the

When removed from social theory, generational nicknames have an uncanny tendency to be launched
right in time for the release of a new gadget, new report or a new TED talk. Nobody expects a baby to
live up to its name, something baby Lucifer and little Havoc will be pleased to learn. But generations
are different. Naming them before we learn their true character traits is tantamount to label a piece of
art that has not yet been completed. Creative wordsmiths will continue to use new monikers; at least
until this young generation one day decides to name itself. This youngest generation is already rich
with names, yet so poorly understood as a cohort of more than tiny consumers. Over the last few years
at least half a dozen suggestions from the plain Generation Z, to the more specific iGeneration,
Plurals, Posts or Wii Generation have been suggested. I believe lack of scope in the underlying
research is why these suggestions seem myopic to the field of study or even anachronistic. At least to
futurists who are used to thinking of the future as more complex than mere extensions of the present.
These names run the risk of becoming naïve predictions if the underlying assumptions behind the
forecasts giving logic to their name won t hold through. For example, the name iGeneration presumes

habits soon changed around the first time I ever learned about medicine. Around my tenth birthday, I

Inoculation may also have been practiced by scratching substances from a smallpox sore into the skin
(Bazin, 2000).
Inoculation of diseases in that way was not always effective. More than half of the people who
performed that process died. Inoculation was all they had back then, but it came with a cost the small
amount of people who were inoculated and lived ended up spread the diseases rapidly because they
were not quarantined properly. However a man by the name of Dr. Edward Jenner in 1798 took the
next step by introducing inoculation with scabs not from small pox but from something similar. He
was the one responsible for creating the vaccine for smallpox (Glynn, 2004). Dr. Jenner noticed that
the girls or women employed to milk dairy cows who had previously caught cowpox did not later
contract smallpox. He then created an experiment where he chose a boy by the name of James Phipps
who was just eight at the time as his subject and infected him with cowpox. The child was sick for a
while, but then he was perfectly healthy. Jenner then inoculated the boy again with fresh scabs from a
smallpox infected human. Later the boy did not contract the disease (Bazin, 2000). This led to the
creation of the vaccine, which over time ended up eradicating the disease Apparently, the term vaccine
actually came from the smallpox epidemic. It was first used by Jenner s friend, Richard Dunning in
1800. The term vaccine/vaccination referred only to

Federal Election Commission many popular political partys gained a significant edge over others.
Because of this decision made by the Supreme Court the government cannot restrict the spending of
corporations, unions, and other groups for political campaigns with helping in fundrasing and
donations. And because of the decision Special interest groups are now able to raise money and turn
out voters for candidates they favor. I believe this decision created a big problem in politics. I can
agree with the government with making the choice in saying that it s an American First Amendment
right to support any candidates they so choose. But with creating this ruling of not limiting donations
to parties, created a way for many Compaines and government officials to have unlimited amounts of
money to be poured into political campaigns and to be on the tightrope of being Corrupt. A great
example of this ruling having a negative effect on politics was in the 2010 midterm elections were the

the routes of trading and communication, and significantly shrank the economic production. In the 9th
century after the plague, peace was slowly reestablished and territories started to increase (Bryer 101
113).
From the other side, Constantinople was presented as a very wealthy capital which served as
propaganda for the foreigners that came to visit it, as well as for their own citizens. Constantinopole
was fully decorated with the foreign imported material such as silk or gold. The 10th century was one
of the most powerful in the Byzantine Empire history, and through that period, Constantinopole was
the biggest centre of the international trade, with merchants mostly from Italy, Syria, and Bulgaria. In
the middle of the 10th century international trade with Muslims became very popular, while in the
11th and 12th century economy of exchange took place. Before the ninth and tenth century, Arabs
were invading Egypt and Syria, which ruined the Byzantine trade, but since the population size
increased in ninth and tenth century, production and trade also increased, especially the demand for
grain. The shipping was important for the international trade, so

Fluid Mechanics 3-Aerofoil Lab Report Essay
Fluid Mechanics 3 Aerofoil Lab Report Introduction This report aims to investigate the effect the
angle of attack of an aerofoil has on the air flow around it. This was done by recording the lift and
drag forces the aerofoil experienced when positioned at different angles of attack. The experimental
lift force the aerofoil experienced when positioned at different angles of attack was then compared
with theoretical values. An attempt was made to explain any discrepancies between experimental and
theoretical values. Theory When air is blown over an aerofoil, it separates into two distinct sets of
streamlines above and below it separated by a dividing streamline. The shape of the aerofoil ... Show

The protractor of the aerofoil connected to the lift and drag voltmeters was then used to vary the
aerofoil s angle of attack from 0° to 20°. Lift and Drag voltage values measured for each angle were
recorded and calibration coefficients of 6.7 and 6.4 were used to obtain force Newton values for lift
and drag. The lift and drag forces obtained for each angle were then plugged into equations (3) and (4)
to obtain lift and drag coefficients. Equation (5) was used to calculate a theoretical value for the lift
coefficient. (3) A represents the area of the aerofoil (4) (5) The values obtained were then tabulated,
graphed and compared. The Reynolds number of this experiment was then calculated using equation
(4) where c is the length of the aerofoil chord and is the dynamic viscosity of air. (6) Results Equation
(6) was used to calculate the Reynolds Number which equated to 119366. Discussion The graph in
Figure 3 confirms the theory stating that as the angle of attack of an aerofoil increases, the lift force it
experiences also increases until it reaches stall position. The graph clearly shows the lift coefficient
steadily increasing with angle of attack. This is due to the fact that as that as angle of attack increases,
the point at which the airflow separates into streamlines going above and below the aerofoil moves
forward thus providing more lift force. Lift force continues to increase until the angle of attack reaches

Demetrio Macias Characters In The Underdogs
Leadership Roles of Demetrio Macias
Alciberto Silva Jr.
LAH 2020
Professor Emma Sordo
November 4th, 2014
In The Underdogs written by Mariano Azuela, the protagonist, Demetrio Macias is symbolized as the
fuel of the Mexican Revolution. Heroes like Macias gave hope to the oppressed people of Mexico by
fighting for what they felt they truly deserved, but, ironically, later becomes what he was fighting
against. He does show great leadership and determination to oppress Pancho Villa s army. Pancho
Villa, the dictator of Mexico during this revolutionary time, also shows prolific leadership qualities
and care for his people; much like Demetrio Macias. However, at times Villa can be a ferocious
general who destroyed villiages and killed innocent victims, he shows his compassion who helped
those in need and rescued orphans providing them with food, education, and a home. Pancho Villa was
a leader who only asked for your loyalty and trust, but was cruel when people tried to oppose him.
Venustiano Carranza was another great leader that was a natural at commanding his followers through
the struggle of liberty. He did not show any lack of a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Even at the beginning of the story, when the rebellion is young, one of the men, Anastasio Montanes,
after a battle shouts, viva Demetrio Macias, our leader, and God in Heaven and his Holy Mother (1).
This shows how the group looks up to Macias to lead them to the solutions to their problems and how
much trust they have him. They also have a lot of faith in Macias as in page 9, it states, Pancracio,
Anastasio Montanes, Codorniz sat at the feet of the stretcher like faithful dogs, waiting on their master
s wishes. (2) This truly shows how much they look up to Demetrio and that also shows the control he
has over his men. He demonstrates the stature that he needs to lead the rebellion to overthrow the

Summary of Evil and Atheism This essay is a summary of...
In William L. Rowe s paper The Problem of Evil and Some Varieties of Atheism he sets out to
accomplish two main goals. The first goal is directed toward theists, while the second attempts to
reach the very wellspring of an atheist s heart. Foremost, Rowe sets out to show that there is an
argument for atheism based on the existence of evil that may rationally justify someone in being an
atheist (335). After he has effectively addressed this first issue he moves on to try and convince the
atheist that in light of all the evidence that theists are rationally justified (just as much as the atheist)
and therefore that atheists should subscribe to what Rowe calls friendly atheism.
Rowe begins his paper by distinguishing two types of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Rowe also includes two other possible objections to his argument but believes them both to be
inadequate. One is to show that the first premise is defective while the other is to defend the problem
of evil by arguing that it exists because of free will.
Therefore, since the theist is justified in his belief in a wholly good, omnipotent, omnipresent being

Siddharth A Book Report
Knippel 1 Keaton Knippel Per. 2 World History Hesting 3/12/15 Siddhartha: A Book Report
Siddhartha Gautama is a cunning, intelligent man with a thirst for knowledge. He is expected to live
up to his fathers name, and everything appears to show him exceeding it. The only problem is,
Siddhartha s teachers and even his own father have not achieved enlightenment, and he strives to seek
enlightenment out within himself. Throughout the entire book, we follow Siddhartha as he discovers
what the meaning of life is, and just what life should be about. One day Siddhartha is seeking out the
inner fire within himself, while in others he simply waits and drifts upon the river of life, patiently
awaiting his fate to uncover the rest of the path. In the end, Siddhartha must give up all possessions,
and accept life for what life is. Bad things do happen; how I respond to them defines my character and
the quality of my life. I can choose to sit in perpetual sadness, immobilized by the gravity of my loss,
or I can choose to rise from the pain and treasure the most precious gift I have life itself. (Walter
Anderson 1) Siddhartha is a story based on the Buddha, the figurehead of Buddhism. Buddha is a
Sanskrit word which translates to The Awakened One . This short and simple title has a much more in
depth meaning. Siddhartha was born sometime around the 6th and 4th century BCE. He was the son of
a great King in Nepal within the Himalayas. He was prophesied to become either the king of

Electronic Devices Are Fragile And Contain Important Data
Final Project. Because electronic devices are fragile and contain important data, it is important to
respect the following procedure when handling them and preparing them for lab observation: 1 I must
first follow the right procedure before proceeding to the packaging which is to properly document the
USB disk by taking pictures to verify or enforce its authenticity, then I ll have to label it properly
which is another way to authenticate it later on, if I need someone else to retrieve it at the lab, or for
easy reconfiguration. Let s not forget the imaging of biological evidence (like hair, tissue, blood, teeth,
etc.) before it gets further analyzed. 2 The packaging can then be done in antistatic packaging, like
paper bags, envelopes, cardboard boxes, or antistatic containers for the fact that they reduce the
production of humidity or static electricity. Since we are dealing with a small device we will use an
envelope for packaging. Furthermore, the packaging should be done in a way that the item will not
bend or be deformed. 3 The last step should be to label the package with my name, date of packaging,
name of item followed by a small description (for instance, white and blue USB flash disk) and
reference pertaining to the case ( for instance, MR Yourprop E0012) * I would ask the lab to look at
possible damage or scratches on the device. This is to see if it has been tampered with (it could have

Reasons for World War I
World War 1 Essay rewrite There has been many wars since the dawn of man however very few of
these wars are as horrific and bloodcurdling as the war in which we call World War 1. The event that
started this war was the assassination of Franz Ferdinand, who was killed by a group called the Black
Hand, who was supported by Serbia. This caused countries to take sides and alliance s to form. Before
this war people saw honor in fighting, however the soldiers who returned had a different story to tell.
The three core things that played a major part in this war would have to be militarism and the
countries that were forced to choose sides and form alliances, imperialism.
Militarism played a significant part of the war especially in the German empire as well as a few other
countries. For example the German empire taught there kids combat strategies and officer training
from the time when they could read and write. The year before the year of the war began the German
empire and France nearly doubled their armies in size knowing that tensions were growing high and
war was soon to follow. Germany s advanced in industrialization made them a really tough opponent,
especially for the less developed countries such as Russia. The German empire also had the most
railroads in their country enabling them to easily transport weapons, materials, and people across their
country with ease. During the war the German empire, probably had the toughest fight, having to take

Essay on Neisseria gonorrhoeae
Neisseria gonorrhoeae
Introduction
Neisseria gonorrhoeae is the obligate human pathogen that causes the sexually transmitted disease
(STD) gonorrhea. This Gram negative diplococci/gonococci does not infect other animals or
experimental animals and does not survive freely in the environment. The gonococcal infection occurs
in the upper or lower tract, pharynx, ophthalmic area, rectum, and bloodstream. During the 1980 s
gonorrhea was also referred to as the clap when public awareness was quite minimal. This was one of
the venereal diseases prostitutes hoped to contract since it resulted in infertility by pelvic
inflammatory disease (PID). As documentation, diagnostic testing, and public awareness improved,
there has been a decline ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Once the gonococci gain entrance into the mucous membranes of these areas, they target columnar
non ciliated epithelial cells. Neisseria gonorrhoeae uses a type IV pilus (twitches, forms bundles and
able to take up DNA) to anchor itself at the infection site. The pilE gene has been found to be the main
factor for adherence to epithelial cells. In a study, missense mutations of the pilE gene revealed altered
fiber morphology. PilE mutants had a defect in filament assembly, hence, less adherence to human
epithelial cells. In a wild type sample there are significant interconnections of cells, then compared to
a sample with a missense PilE polypeptide, we can see reduced interconnections of the cells and
filamentous structure. These defects only are expressed when the pilT gene is activated. Spread
Spread occurs via oral, vaginal, and anal sexual contact through the routes of penis vagina, penis
mouth, penis anus, mouth vagina, and mouth anus. During childbirth, infants contract the infection in
the birth canal resulting in bilateral conjunctivitis. Intimate contact is required to infect another
person, therefore, the myth of contracting the disease by toilet seats is a myth.
Multiplication
Replication of gonococci begin with the adherence to non ciliated cells resulting in death triggered by
the lipopolysaccharide (LPS). Once the ciliary beat is impaired, the bacteria cannot be cleared from
the mucosal

Tapioca Flour Results
Data Analysis In my experiment I used four different types of flour to see how much they made bread
rise. These are the results: Type of Flour Amount of Dough in Pan (cm) How much Bread Rises (cm)
Whole Wheat Flour 1.5 3.4 3.5 3.7 Rye Flour 1.5 2.3 2.3 2.4 All Purpose Flour 1.5 5.4 5.6 5.6 Tapioca
Flour 1.5 6.5 6.4 6.5 The results showed that the tapioca flour made the bread rise the most. Although
tapioca flour has no gluten in it, it is often combined with a different type of flour. In this experiment
it is combined with rice flour. Rice flour is also gluten free, so it is combined with baking soda and
baking powder. The baking soda and baking powder are the binding agents in this recipe. If there is no
binding agent in a gluten free bread then the bread will not be elastic. The reason tapioca flour rises
the most is mainly because of the baking powder. Another binding agent in this recipe are the eggs.
Since eggs have protein in them it will help to make the bread elastic. If you use to much baking
powder then the bread will break. On the other hand if you do not use enough baking powder the
bread will not rise that much at all. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

A Research On A Surrogacy Contract
A surrogacy contract is a document signed by two people or parties that agree with traditional or
gestational surrogacy; one party receives monetary compensation while the other receives a child.
Currently there is a sharp increase in the number of foreign inquiries to India in pursuit of finding
women willing to be a surrogate (Gentleman, p.2). This can be seen as taking advantage of a poverty
loomed country as the money is hard for these impoverished women to turn away (Gentleman, p.3).
The surrogacy market is estimated to bring in $445 million annually to India and is expected to grow
as news of the success stories become known (Warner, p.2). In the US the cost of surrogacy is
approximately $75,000 to $80,000 per pregnancy, however in India, where commercial surrogacy is
legal the price comes to around $25,000 (Sandel, p.100). The Indian surrogate will receive about
$7,500 for their services, which is many times their potential annual income (Sandel, p.100).
Surrogacy raises questions about the market s ethical limits due to the belief that affluent consumers
are exploiting economically challenged women s reproductive systems in exchange for money, which
Sandel criticizes as being degrading or dehumanizing (Sandel, p.96). Sandel objects to surrogacy
contracts or reproductive outsourcing because he believes treating babies and pregnancy as
commodities degrades them, or fails to value them appropriately meaning the market of surrogacy and
surrogacy contracts are

The Diagnosis Of Heart Disease
DATA MINING IN THE DIAGNOSIS OF HEART DISEASE
Data mining as it has been established is simply a way of getting hidden knowledge or information
from data, the technique(s) employed search for concurrency, relationships, and outliers in this data
that they present as knowledge [4]. This knowledge can then be used in different applications.
Prediction is one of the ways that the hidden knowledge gotten from the data can be used. The main
aim is to use a large number of past values to consider probable future [9]. Heart disease is the
common term for a variety of diseases, conditions, and disorders that affect the heart and the blood
vessels [6]. Symptoms of heart disease vary depending on the type of heart disease. Congenital heart
disease suggests to a problem with the heart s structure and function due to abnormal heart
development before birth. Congestive heart failure is when the heart does not pump adequate blood to
the other organs in the body [8]. Coronary heart disease or in its medical term Ischemic heart disease
is the most frequent type of heart problem [24]. Coronary heart disease is a term that refers to damage
to the heart that happens because its blood supply is decreased; it leads to fatty deposits build up on
the linings of the blood vessels that provide the heart muscles with blood, resulting in heart failure.
Heart disease prediction using data mining is one of the most interesting and challenging tasks.

  • 2. How Large Is The Current U.S. Budget Deficit And How Has How large is the current U.S. budget deficit and how has it changed over the last few years? The projected Unites States budget deficit for fiscal year 2017 is a staggering $559 billion dollars. A budget deficit occurs when the government spends more than it receives in revenue over a specific period of time (Schiller, Hill, Wall, 2013, p. 251). Currently the US government runs on a fiscal year (FY) which begins October 1st each year. The projected rate of 2017 s deficit is 17.6 % of expected revenues of $3.4 trillion which is only slightly lower than FY 2016. The 2016 deficit represented 3.2 % of gross domestic product (GDP) rising from 2.4% in FY 2015 (Congressional Budget Office, 2017). If the average American household ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Food, tents, muskets, and ammunition were not cheap, and Congress was failing to meet these new expenditures. They went so far as to print new money, our first look at currency manipulation (Schiller, Hill, Wall, 2013). The Founding Fathers would not be able to grasp that our nation never has never been debt free. At the time of this writing the US National debt was $19,975,211,704, and changed over the time of typing in the figure (Federal Reserve, 2017). National debt is accumulated debt of the federal government (Schiller, Hill, Wall, 2013, p. 261). This astronomical figure is difficult to fully grasp. To break it down in simple terms; that amounts to $61,55 per US citizen, and $166,775 per tax payer. With the median income at just over $30,000, there is simply no way the nation can pay the debt off by raising taxes alone (Federal Reserve, 2017). At issue, who owns this debt? The US Citizen does, strangely enough at 65.6%. Social Security owns roughly 16%, other federal entities own 13% and the Federal Reserve owns an additional 12%. The other 34.4% of US debt is owned by other countries and foreign interests (Patton, 2014). This could potentially lead to national security issues if the foreign investors decided to cash in Treasury securities all at once. That is not likely as the United States is still one of the most secure places to invest. In addition, being arguably the most powerful military on ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Analysis Of The Movie Falling Down The movie Falling Down portrays many examples of the movie reflecting, influencing, and changing society. The movie reflects society s many flaws such as inflation of prices and unneeded budget spending. The movie also influences others to point out society s flaws by using force. Finally, the movie changes society by showing the movie in the point of view of a person that is classified as a realist. In the movie, the main character, Michael Douglas walks into a convenience store and intends to buy a Coke. But, the store owner says that the Coke is $1. Douglas tells the store owner he is wrong and that it should cost .50 cents. Douglas later on a rampage, asks how much other food items are worth and he then finds out that the food products are way too overpriced. In retaliation, he destroys the food items with a club. He does this until the store owner agrees on the price of .50 cents. Another example of Falling Down reflecting on the flaws of society is when Douglas confronts the construction worker on unneeded budget spending. Douglas tells the construction worker saying that the road being shut down to make a tunnel is ridiculous and a waste of taxpayers money and to show his frustration, he uses a rocket launcher to blow up the tunnel. In conclusion, this is how Michael Douglas reflects on society s flaws. In order to retaliate against society s flaws, Michael Douglas uses force. After Michael was refused the sale of a can of Coke for .50 cents, he attacks the store ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

However, due to the recent changes of the Hamilton Middle School rules performed by Principal Carter, Ben wore his band tee and soon after got suspended. Principal Carter set a rule on banning all band tees, saying that they were causing arguments and distracting kids from their education. According to the rule, Carter may not make a rule against the t shirts unless there is good evidence that they actually cause a disruption in and between classes. Therefore, Ben should not be suspended due to the fact that his shirt caused no disruption. First of all, band t shirts have not caused any disruptions ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 6. The Sinking Of The Titanic Essay On April 10, 1912, the Titanic, largest ship afloat, left Southampton, England on her maiden voyage to New York City. (The sinking of the Titanic) There were 2,200 women, men, children, and work crew members that made the voyage over to the United States, but little did they know that only 705 would actually step foot on United States territory. This tragedy struck over 100 years ago, but is still constantly brought up by many people to this day. But one reason that it s still brought up is because of the award winning movie, but how does the sinking of the Titanic reflect its time period? The only things that allow us to know how it affected the time period is, how the ship was made, there clothing, different level of people class, and lastly how the ship was ran. What made us understand this tragic event much better though, well the movie that won a ton of academy awards helped breakdown this historical event. The award winning movie was produced in December of 1997. They started producing the movie in 1995, it cost over $200 million to create the movie. They recreated the ship in Baja, California, they used computers and scaled models to recreate the ship and the sinking of the ship. The main actors of the movie were Jack Dawson (played by Leonardo DiCaprio), Rose Dewitt Bukater (played by Kate Winslet). An interesting fact about the movie is, the two main characters weren t actually passengers on the ship, the names were just made up for the movie. However, they did ... Both of these characters are the brothers of the king (Zeffirelli, Hamlet) (Allers, The Lion King). In the film Hamlet and Allers s The Lion King, both characters take a throne that is not rightfully theirs. These characters are jealous, power hungry villains. These two antagonists are very much hated by everyone that has seen the play or movie. During Hamlet, Claudius steals his brother s throne, marries his sister in law, and tries to kill his nephew Hamlet (Zeffirelli). They both reach out to the audience by the choice of words they use and the way they word their sentences. When she says The little black boy who looked up at my husband, his eyes wide with hope she helps the audience see how children hope to be like certain adults when they grow up because children tend to want to grow up and be like their role models. Another great example to why I believe her speech was better at persuading her target is when she states Police officers and protesters in Dallas who all desperately want to keep our children safe. ABSTRACT Background: With the incidence and the prevalence of chronic kidney disease (CKD) increasing worldwide and its economic repercussions, a detailed haematological workup of such patients is necessary to detect the type of anaemia, as there is a general tendency to consider anaemia to be of the normocytic normochromic type. Materials and Methods: This observational study included 100 patients of chronic kidney disease, who were included, irrespective of their age, sex, aetiology and their clinical profiles. A thorough clinical examination and evaluation were conducted, which included serum iron studies. By using Chi square analysis, the parameters which were used for a statistical correlation were the levels of anaemia with respect to the stages of the kidney disease, the type and the severity of anaemia, thrombocytopaenia with the bleeding time, leucocytosis and elevated ESR values. Results: Although most of the anaemia was of the normocytic type, nearly a third of the patients had microcytic hypochromic and a mixed type of anaemia. Those with a microcytic hypochromic picture correlated with a severe degree of anaemia. The elevated Erythrocyte Sedimentation Rate (ESR) levels were more distributed in the lower levels of the Glomerular Filtration Rate (GFR). There was no association between the platelet levels and the bleeding time. The leucocytosis was not necessarily associated with infections. Conclusions: It is pertinent to detect and treat subclinical iron deficiency in patients with CKD and to not over investigate the minor haematological variations. Comm., 61 T.C. 554 (1974), the judgment of Congress was not to include independent contractors which possessed no financial stake in the corporation as retaining an interest in the corporation for attribution waiver rules. The Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals rejected this test by the Tax Court in Lynch v. Comm., 86 2 USTC ¶9731. The Court held that taxpayers providing post redemption services either as an independent contractor or employee, held an interest prohibited by §302 (c)(2)(A)(i). Mr. Cranston would fall under the jurisdiction of the Ninth Circuit Court because he is a resident of California, and the higher court prevails. • 17. The True Face of Lowbrow Humor Essay Following Chaucer s description of the Miller in the General Prologue, The Miller s Tale reveals a man who is more complex than his appearance initially suggests. The Miller s Tale is a fabliau that consists of events of cuckoldry, foolishness, and secrets (1720, 1718, and 1719). Given the bawdy humor of his story, the Miller would seem to be crude and superficial. As the tale unfolds, it depicts how the norms of society trap John s wife, Alison, in her marriage. Despite his fondness for vulgarity and fraudulence, the Miller is surprisingly sympathetic toward Alison. In his attempt to outdo the Knight, the Miller sacrifices decorum for the sake of entertainment, demonstrating his coarse and rebellious nature. The Miller s bawdy ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Similarly, the Miller s characters use guile as frequently as the Miller does. In their affair, both Nicholas and Alison devise a plan to trick the jealous John. While speaking to John alone, Nicholas warns him of a flood to come and states he must not waste words on the wise; however, Nicholas tricks the so called wise carpenter and has intercourse with John s wife after John falls asleep (1727). Furthermore, Absolom begs for a kiss from Alison, but she beard[s] him, another instance of bawdy deceit (1730). Thus, the disposition toward treachery that Chaucer notes is evident in the Miller s characters as they trick multiple people, actions which exemplify the Miller s immoral nature. Although the Miller is a coarse and deceptive individual, he reveals a sympathetic nature in his tacit approval of Alison s actions. Chaucer depicts the Miller as a big beefed yokel, who can break a door by running at it with his head (1712). Because of these physical characteristics, most readers would assume that he is a strong, dense, and churlish man. However, reflecting on Cato s words that man should marry his like, the Miller notes that Alison is trapped in her marriage to a man older than she, an insight that shows not only his empathy but also his intelligence (1720). Moreover, the Miller portrays each man in a negative light throughout the tale but not Alison: he describes the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 19. What Is Alcatraz Prison Alcatraz Penitentiary harbored some of this country s worst criminals from 1934 until its closing in 1963. This prison was located on Alcatraz Island, which was in the San Francisco Bay. It was housed on this island so the prisoners would not be tempted to escape. This prison was shut down because of the high costs to keep it running. Although many prisoners attempted to escape, the prison claimed that all of them failed at it. Alcatraz was set apart and on an island, it was greatly guarded because it once was a fort, and the inmates were only allowed outside for one hour each day. Attempting to escape Alcatraz without a ride was extremely difficult. The water was really cold, and it was hard to attempt swimming away without getting spotted. ... The prison reported that they drowned in their attempt to cross the bay, but there has never been any evidence to prove this theory. This attempt was in June of 1962, just a nine months before the prison closed its doors. These prisoners escaped by crawling through a hole they dug in the walls of the prison, and climbed up onto the roof. They used paper mache look alike heads and placed them in their bunks to buy them time to escape. Supposedly, the men made a makeshift raft and paddles to cross the bay. Since then the three men haven t been found. Altogether, Alcatraz Penitentiary was a pretty tough prison to escape, and maybe that is why the government placed the worse criminals there. Out of thirty six men who attempted to escape, only three went without being captured. Over fifty years after its closing, Alcatraz is still the most infamous prison of this country. This prison is so popular that it receives over 1.3 million visitors each year, and it s one of San Francisco s biggest tourist attractions. While this prison is said to be inescapable that s mostly to do with the government trying to keep its reputation up. How Brands Gain Successful Exposure On The Market, And The... 5.1 KNOW THE RULES The main aim of this study was to investigate the ways brands gain successful exposure in the market, and the way they build relationships with consumers. Upon researching, it was found that there are certain brands that do not necessarily follow the current advised procedures for this practice. One of these brands is Apple Inc., and being one of the most cherished brands of all times, it was decided that an investigation on its consumers behaviour would possibly shed light over the research question: Are there exceptions to the current rules in the practice of brand communications and exposure? . To be able to raise the hypothesis of the exception, the current procedures for successful brand exposure and communications, were examined and analysed, and then compared to the survey s results on Apple s consumers opinions. 5.2 SUMMARY OF THE STUDY The review of literature has provided important information on how the 21st century market is shaped and influenced by the digital technologies. It was observed that the direct effect derived from the cultural transformation of the digital ages, has created new ways of receiving information and new forms of communication amongst people. Consequently, it has also altered relationships between brands and consumers. Most experts are suggesting that brands should adjust according to the new rules of the market, which imply that online existence is essential for achieving successful brand communications and ... Now in 2010 house of representative is at about 5 million and the senate fundraiser funds almost tripled. Having this much money in anyone s eyes is a success. Because of this decision made by the Supreme Court the government cannot restrict the spending of corporations, unions, and other groups for political campaigns with helping in fundrasing and donations. And because of the decision Special interest groups are now able to raise money and turn out voters for candidates they favor. I believe this decision created a big problem in politics. I can agree with the government with making the choice in saying that it s an American First Amendment right to support any candidates they so choose. But with creating this ruling of not limiting donations to parties, created a way for many Compaines and government officials to have unlimited amounts of money to be poured into political campaigns and to be on the tightrope of being Corrupt. A great example of this ruling having a negative effect on politics was in the 2010 midterm elections were the influence of super PACs was introduced. In the midterm elections super PACs contributed about 80 million to campaigns. And because of this Republican candidates benefited by taking control of the House of representative that year. There are a lot of mixed feeling between people about this topic. Some people were very happy about gay marriage being legalized, most of whom are gay. However, there are also a lot of people unhappy, and they have some very good reasons on why to be angry. With gay marriage, say the couple wants a child so they adopt. The child that they adopt will not only be deprived of his real parents, but he will also have the lack of both a mother and father role model. The Byzantine cconomy was one of the largest systems throughout Europe and the Mediterannean for many centuries. Both local and international trade were of huge importance for the Byzantine Empire. Lower class, including traders, depended on the upper class. Their need of the foreign goods in order to stay in Local trade was much less popular. Throughout the fourth and sixth centuries, long distance trade was operating successfully, until the plague appeared, which killed around one third of the citizens in the Byzantine Empire, and ruined the trade networks. The Byzantines considered land a common resource, not to be bought or sold, but it is valuable only if the men were invesing in it. The biggest loss of the inhabitants and land was in 541 due to the plague, where Constantinopole lost 40 % of its inhabitants. It affected both cities and countryside, as well as the routes of trading and communication, and significantly shrank the economic production. In the 9th century after the plague, peace was slowly reestablished and territories started to increase (Bryer 101 113). From the other side, Constantinople was presented as a very wealthy capital which served as propaganda for the foreigners that came to visit it, as well as for their own citizens. Constantinopole was fully decorated with the foreign imported material such as silk or gold. The 10th century was one of the most powerful in the Byzantine Empire history, and through that period, Constantinopole was the biggest centre of the international trade, with merchants mostly from Italy, Syria, and Bulgaria. In the middle of the 10th century international trade with Muslims became very popular, while in the 11th and 12th century economy of exchange took place. Fluid Mechanics 3-Aerofoil Lab Report Essay Fluid Mechanics 3 Aerofoil Lab Report Introduction This report aims to investigate the effect the angle of attack of an aerofoil has on the air flow around it. This was done by recording the lift and drag forces the aerofoil experienced when positioned at different angles of attack. The experimental lift force the aerofoil experienced when positioned at different angles of attack was then compared with theoretical values. An attempt was made to explain any discrepancies between experimental and theoretical values. Theory When air is blown over an aerofoil, it separates into two distinct sets of streamlines above and below it separated by a dividing streamline. The shape of the aerofoil ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The protractor of the aerofoil connected to the lift and drag voltmeters was then used to vary the aerofoil s angle of attack from 0° to 20°. Lift and Drag voltage values measured for each angle were recorded and calibration coefficients of 6.7 and 6.4 were used to obtain force Newton values for lift and drag. The lift and drag forces obtained for each angle were then plugged into equations (3) and (4) to obtain lift and drag coefficients. Equation (5) was used to calculate a theoretical value for the lift coefficient. (3) A represents the area of the aerofoil (4) (5) The values obtained were then tabulated, graphed and compared. The Reynolds number of this experiment was then calculated using equation (4) where c is the length of the aerofoil chord and is the dynamic viscosity of air. (6) Results Equation (6) was used to calculate the Reynolds Number which equated to 119366. Discussion The graph in Figure 3 confirms the theory stating that as the angle of attack of an aerofoil increases, the lift force it experiences also increases until it reaches stall position. The graph clearly shows the lift coefficient steadily increasing with angle of attack. This is due to the fact that as that as angle of attack increases, the point at which the airflow separates into streamlines going above and below the aerofoil moves forward thus providing more lift force. Lift force continues to increase until the angle of attack reaches 13° marking the angle ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The first goal is directed toward theists, while the second attempts to reach the very wellspring of an atheist s heart. Foremost, Rowe sets out to show that there is an argument for atheism based on the existence of evil that may rationally justify someone in being an atheist (335). He is expected to live up to his fathers name, and everything appears to show him exceeding it. The only problem is, Siddhartha s teachers and even his own father have not achieved enlightenment, and he strives to seek enlightenment out within himself. Throughout the entire book, we follow Siddhartha as he discovers what the meaning of life is, and just what life should be about. One day Siddhartha is seeking out the inner fire within himself, while in others he simply waits and drifts upon the river of life, patiently awaiting his fate to uncover the rest of the path. In the end, Siddhartha must give up all possessions, and accept life for what life is. Bad things do happen; how I respond to them defines my character and the quality of my life. I can choose to sit in perpetual sadness, immobilized by the gravity of my loss, or I can choose to rise from the pain and treasure the most precious gift I have life itself. Because electronic devices are fragile and contain important data, it is important to respect the following procedure when handling them and preparing them for lab observation: 1 I must first follow the right procedure before proceeding to the packaging which is to properly document the USB disk by taking pictures to verify or enforce its authenticity, then I ll have to label it properly which is another way to authenticate it later on, if I need someone else to retrieve it at the lab, or for easy reconfiguration. Let s not forget the imaging of biological evidence (like hair, tissue, blood, teeth, etc.) before it gets further analyzed. 2 The packaging can then be done in antistatic packaging, like paper bags, envelopes, cardboard boxes, or antistatic containers for the fact that they reduce the production of humidity or static electricity. Since we are dealing with a small device we will use an envelope for packaging. Furthermore, the packaging should be done in a way that the item will not bend or be deformed. 3 The last step should be to label the package with my name, date of packaging, name of item followed by a small description (for instance, white and blue USB flash disk) and reference pertaining to the case ( for instance, MR Yourprop E0012) * I would ask the lab to look at possible damage or scratches on the device. Reasons for World War I World War 1 Essay rewrite There has been many wars since the dawn of man however very few of these wars are as horrific and bloodcurdling as the war in which we call World War 1. The event that started this war was the assassination of Franz Ferdinand, who was killed by a group called the Black Hand, who was supported by Serbia. This caused countries to take sides and alliance s to form. Before this war people saw honor in fighting, however the soldiers who returned had a different story to tell. The three core things that played a major part in this war would have to be militarism and the countries that were forced to choose sides and form alliances, imperialism. Militarism played a significant part of the war especially in the German empire as well as a few other countries. For example the German empire taught there kids combat strategies and officer training from the time when they could read and write. The year before the year of the war began the German empire and France nearly doubled their armies in size knowing that tensions were growing high and war was soon to follow. Germany s advanced in industrialization made them a really tough opponent, especially for the less developed countries such as Russia. The German empire also had the most railroads in their country enabling them to easily transport weapons, materials, and people across their country with ease. The gonococcal infection occurs in the upper or lower tract, pharynx, ophthalmic area, rectum, and bloodstream. During the 1980 s gonorrhea was also referred to as the clap when public awareness was quite minimal. Once the gonococci gain entrance into the mucous membranes of these areas, they target columnar non ciliated epithelial cells. Neisseria gonorrhoeae uses a type IV pilus (twitches, forms bundles and able to take up DNA) to anchor itself at the infection site. The pilE gene has been found to be the main factor for adherence to epithelial cells. In a study, missense mutations of the pilE gene revealed altered fiber morphology. PilE mutants had a defect in filament assembly, hence, less adherence to human epithelial cells. In a wild type sample there are significant interconnections of cells, then compared to a sample with a missense PilE polypeptide, we can see reduced interconnections of the cells and filamentous structure. These defects only are expressed when the pilT gene is activated. Spread Spread occurs via oral, vaginal, and anal sexual contact through the routes of penis vagina, penis mouth, penis anus, mouth vagina, and mouth anus. During childbirth, infants contract the infection in the birth canal resulting in bilateral conjunctivitis. Intimate contact is required to infect another person, therefore, the myth of contracting the disease by toilet seats is a myth. Although tapioca flour has no gluten in it, it is often combined with a different type of flour. In this experiment it is combined with rice flour. Rice flour is also gluten free, so it is combined with baking soda and baking powder. The baking soda and baking powder are the binding agents in this recipe. If there is no binding agent in a gluten free bread then the bread will not be elastic. The reason tapioca flour rises the most is mainly because of the baking powder. • 50. A Research On A Surrogacy Contract A surrogacy contract is a document signed by two people or parties that agree with traditional or gestational surrogacy; one party receives monetary compensation while the other receives a child. Currently there is a sharp increase in the number of foreign inquiries to India in pursuit of finding women willing to be a surrogate (Gentleman, p.2). This can be seen as taking advantage of a poverty loomed country as the money is hard for these impoverished women to turn away (Gentleman, p.3). The surrogacy market is estimated to bring in $445 million annually to India and is expected to grow as news of the success stories become known (Warner, p.2). In the US the cost of surrogacy is approximately $75,000 to $80,000 per pregnancy, however in India, where commercial surrogacy is legal the price comes to around $25,000 (Sandel, p.100). The Indian surrogate will receive about $7,500 for their services, which is many times their potential annual income (Sandel, p.100). Surrogacy raises questions about the market s ethical limits due to the belief that affluent consumers are exploiting economically challenged women s reproductive systems in exchange for money, which Sandel criticizes as being degrading or dehumanizing (Sandel, p.96). Sandel objects to surrogacy contracts or reproductive outsourcing because he believes treating babies and pregnancy as commodities degrades them, or fails to value them appropriately meaning the market of surrogacy and surrogacy contracts are ... The Diagnosis Of Heart Disease DATA MINING IN THE DIAGNOSIS OF HEART DISEASE Data mining as it has been established is simply a way of getting hidden knowledge or information from data, the technique(s) employed search for concurrency, relationships, and outliers in this data that they present as knowledge [4]. This knowledge can then be used in different applications. Prediction is one of the ways that the hidden knowledge gotten from the data can be used. The main aim is to use a large number of past values to consider probable future [9]. Heart disease is the common term for a variety of diseases, conditions, and disorders that affect the heart and the blood vessels [6]. Symptoms of heart disease vary depending on the type of heart disease. Congenital heart disease suggests to a problem with the heart s structure and function due to abnormal heart development before birth. Congestive heart failure is when the heart does not pump adequate blood to the other organs in the body [8]. Coronary heart disease or in its medical term Ischemic heart disease is the most frequent type of heart problem [24]. Coronary heart disease is a term that refers to damage to the heart that happens because its blood supply is decreased; it leads to fatty deposits build up on the linings of the blood vessels that provide the heart muscles with blood, resulting in heart failure.
