The cellular IoT is a method of connecting physical devices (sensors, etc.) to the Internet, and transmits physical devices (sensors, etc.) on the same mobile network as smartphones. With its simple infrastructure and the advent of 5G, the Cellular IoT has become a strong participant in the field of connectivity.
The cellular network connects your iPhone to WeChat, Weibo, and Douyin and spreads your voice in the air. But the days of just wanting to connect with friends and family are gone.
Now you can also see the value of connecting with surrounding physical objects such as street lights, parking fee systems, hospitals that occupy everyday urban life, or myriad industrial applications (such as manufacturing and agriculture). All of these can strengthen the connection. ..
Ericsson predicts that the total number of connected IoT devices will exceed 20 billion in 2023. Specifically, the number of IoT devices connected via LTE and 5G exceeds 3.5 billion, mainly in China and Northeast Asia.

Head to Head - The Battle between the Bellheads and the Netheads for control ...Pieter Geldenhuys
Part 1: When the infrastructure is ubiquitous and operates as a utility, like water or electricity, we will move beyond the current paradigm of cyberspace. What happens when information and knowledge are accessible to all who choose to look? What happens when eBusiness, eHealth and eLiteracy have become an invisible normality? What happens after the Ubiquitous Internet has irreparably changed our very understanding of the world we live in? A new Digital Value Chain will be required when the Netheads and Bellheads pit their business models against each other in an epic battle where the only winner is bound to be the consumer. Who will find the right balance between the investments required to support the infrastructure and the money that inevitably will flow to edge of the network where the intelligence and power resides?

Accelerating the mobile ecosystem expansion in the 5G Era with LTE Advanced ProQualcomm Research
5G will connect virtually everything around us to transform a wide range of industries — manufacturing, automotive, logistics, and many more, and we are on track to make 5G NR — the global 5G standard — a commercial reality by 2019. However, this first phase of 5G mainly focuses on enhanced mobile broadband services, which will contribute to part of the total projected $12T 5G economy. 5G NR will continue to evolve in Release 16 and beyond to further expand 5G’s reach to new devices, services, and ecosystem players.
So, do we have to wait until 2020+ for the next phase of 5G NR before we can start enabling new mobile use cases?
LTE Advanced Pro will fill the gap and is continuing to evolve to bring new capabilities and efficiencies. Check out this presentation for:
• Gigabit LTE: anchoring the 5G mobile experience now with over 45 commercial networks globally. Our 3rd gen chipset — the Qualcomm Snapdragon X24 can deliver up to 2 Gbps.
• LTE IoT: starting to connect the massive IoT today, and its continued evolution will be fully leveraged by 5G NR IoT in Rel-16+.
• C-V2X: establishing the foundation for enhanced safety use cases in Rel-14 and a continued 5G NR C-V2X evolution for future autonomous vehicles.
• Private networks: delivering an optimized solution for the industrial IoT, and establishing the foundation to private 5G NR networks that will enable new use cases.
Enel, AWS, and Athonet: Connecting Millions of IoT Devices on Private LTE (TL...Amazon Web Services
The upcoming launch of unlicensed spectrums globally, including CBRS in the USA (and later MulteFire globally), sXGP in Japan, and LAA in France, opens up new opportunities for deployment of 5G-ready industrial-grade private LTE networks integrated for industrial IoT applications. Deploying a private LTE network requires key considerations of both localized and widely distributed networks for highly resilient, low-latency broadband and narrow band (LTE-M, NB-IoT) LTE communications. In this workshop, we dive deep into how Enel plans to integrate millions of devices across power plants and field devices to AWS IoT using a private LTE network from Athonet to realize a smart electricity enterprise. Enel is one of the world's largest electricity utilities, with a 30-million smart meter program in Italy that has underlying LTE connectivity through a private MVNO. Athonet is a market leader globally in private LTE, with over 100 dedicated LTE networks globally for industry, public safety, and digital use cases, providing the mobile core network for Enel's private MVNO.
Enterprises around the world are anticipating the imminent rollout of 5G connectivity as a complete solution to current network challenges. As applications and services move to the cloud, leveraging 5G provides a reliable way to stay connected and ensure mission-critical deliverables are met.

In the past, we’ve seen a regular 10 year technology refresh with 2G, 3G and 4G each being added incrementally. Some believe that 5G will follow in the same cycle, although at the moment it remains vague and unpredictable. Others point out that the benefits of each new generation – mainly increasing spectral efficiency and releasing new spectrum – are reaching their full potential. This has been a key argument for small cell deployment, which increases capacity through frequency reuse without the need for additional spectrum or spectral efficiencies.

Understanding User Needs and Satisfying ThemAggregage
https://www.productmanagementtoday.com/frs/26903918/understanding-user-needs-and-satisfying-them
We know we want to create products which our customers find to be valuable. Whether we label it as customer-centric or product-led depends on how long we've been doing product management. There are three challenges we face when doing this. The obvious challenge is figuring out what our users need; the non-obvious challenges are in creating a shared understanding of those needs and in sensing if what we're doing is meeting those needs.
In this webinar, we won't focus on the research methods for discovering user-needs. We will focus on synthesis of the needs we discover, communication and alignment tools, and how we operationalize addressing those needs.
Industry expert Scott Sehlhorst will:
• Introduce a taxonomy for user goals with real world examples
• Present the Onion Diagram, a tool for contextualizing task-level goals
• Illustrate how customer journey maps capture activity-level and task-level goals
• Demonstrate the best approach to selection and prioritization of user-goals to address
• Highlight the crucial benchmarks, observable changes, in ensuring fulfillment of customer needs
Implicitly or explicitly all competing businesses employ a strategy to select a mix
of marketing resources. Formulating such competitive strategies fundamentally
involves recognizing relationships between elements of the marketing mix (e.g.,
price and product quality), as well as assessing competitive and market conditions
(i.e., industry structure in the language of economics).
