The document proposes a wireless infrastructure solution for 10 ABC Sporting Goods retail store locations consisting of: 1) A WLAN implemented in each store using Cisco switches, wireless controllers, and access points. 2) A WWAN using Cisco routers and firewalls to interconnect the 10 stores. 3) A mobility solution allowing remote sales personnel to access the network and databases using handheld devices.

3. WLAN Implementation This area describes the proposed implementation of WLAN technology for each of the 10 stores.

5. Core LAN Switching: Cisco 4503 in each store with the following blades: SLOT 1 – Management Blade (IOS Layer 3) with 2 fiber uplinks SLOT 2 – 48 port Gigabit Ethernet with Support for POE SLOT 3 - 48 port Gigabit Ethernet with Support for POE

6. Core LAN Switching: Highlights: Each Access Point will be connected to the 4503 Core switch via Cat 6 data wiring. The WLAN will be protected at the Edge using a Cisco Pix 508e Firewall The Edge Router Connection for Each Store into the WAN will be a Cisco 2800 Series Router with a 1XEVDO Card. This technolgy will be further explained in the WWAN Section.
