Design Aspects Of The Composite Replacing Metal Parts
Introduction: Since the first aircraft was developed for flight, people have had a goal to improve the
aircraft s physical applications and production of the aircraft more profitable. These changes made
aircraft lighter and have increase flight ranges for aircraft for useful for people. In aircraft
modification in today s world is making another major leap in attempting to replace metal structures
on aircraft. The reasons for the changes are due to production cost, to create a lighter aircraft, to
increase load capabilities, and aim to prevent fatigue and corrosion damage. New structures are being
developed to replace metal parts happen to be composite parts. Composite (ex: CTRP) parts are able
to meet the standards required to replace ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The benefits of composite over metal structures are making composites the best option. Certain
benefits can lower production costs; material is improved from morphing of aircraft structures,
corrosion does not happen in composites which lead to longer lifetime, the overall production cost of
the aircraft becomes lower due to the aircraft being lighter and increases lift for the improved
performance out of the aircraft. Research like this tends to have positive effects on different
commercial products such as cars and houses. A question that comes up why hasn t composites been
utilize earlier , the answer is technology has finally been able to make composites at affordable prices
and the knowledge of materials has increased to a point where it could be applied properly.
Composites materials are still in early stages of development, but are being applied in aircraft
currently to learn more how they function. As the understanding improves of composites, the
application of materials is increased in aircraft structures. The objectives are to understand how
aircraft structures are changing from metal to composite parts. This is caused by latest technology and
new requirements from aircraft users. With new capabilities in materials, composites in aircraft
structures remain still in the beginning stages however over time composite structure will be
developed for additional purposes. Literature Review: The Composite Structures have been around

method used to improve employee performance by setting standards. The process also gives valuable
performance feedback to the employees, determines any organizational problems and provides
developmental needs. Mangers in the past several decades have been using an objective based process
known as management by objective. The process creates objectives that the employees need to

Argument Against Trump
There should be no bitterness or hate where the sole thought is the welfare of the United States of
America. No man can occupy the office of President without realizing that he is President of all the
people ― Franklin D. Roosevelt (Goodreads). Franklin Roosevelt declares here that the President of
the United States should display extreme professionalism as a result of how they are elected to
represent and serve the citizens of America. Then, it can be implied from this quote that the president
should not overwhelmingly voice his own opinion, especially by being negative and targeting others.
Meaning, the president should put the interests of the people before his own wants or opinions. How
can the president achieve this in the age ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In her article, Kang discusses the claim that Trump s phone creates a serious national security concern.
Primarily, his Android phone is very outdated and possibly unsecure. This means that his phone could
easily be hacked, exposing himself and the nation to threats, depending on what information is on his
phone (Kang par. 7). Also, if his phone is able to be hacked, there may be sensitive information that
could be leaked to the world, which could cause major issues with national security. Kang also makes
a main point about his phone being hacked through its internet connection, Twitter requires a
connection to the internet, which exposes the device to security vulnerabilities (Kang par. 6). This
means that his phone could easily be hacked through wireless internet connection. However, Toosi
attacks the topic from a different angle, analyzing how other countries could manipulate Trump s
actions as a result of his tweets. Toosi explains how Twitter has shown us the way that Trump works,
We re beginning to see what excites him, what angers him, what sets him off. We ve never had this
ability to read so much on what a president is thinking (Toosi par. 4). Other countries could easily
analyze what Trump says to provoke him into saying extremely unpresidential things about another
country through Twitter. They could do this by saying or doing certain things

Christianity And Its Relationship With Political Authority
Christianity and its relationship with political authority has changed over the course of the period we
have studied this semester. There has been a lot of back and forth about the main religion in the
countries we have studied, and predominantly in Rome. The main religion of a country is traced back
to the religion of the political authority. Citizens looked up to their rulers, therefore convert to the
religion of the authority. Initially, Romans viewed Christianity as a new sect of Judaism. Roman rulers
did not like the religion of Christianity. By the end of the first century, the political authority viewed
the religion as a dangerous superstition that was a threat to their civic order. Romans didn t like the
fact that Christians ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Constantius reign and the Council of Nicea helped Rome in gaining more Christians since they were
under the rule of a Christian ruler. This did not last long as a Pagan ruler followed. In 361, emperor
Julian came into power and restored Paganism in the Roman Empire. Julian felt the need to restore
Paganism. His goal was to rid Christians from the highest orders of government. He did not want any
Christian judges so that no Christian laws would be passed. Julian targeted the wealthy Christians as
he was not as concerned with the common people. He believed that if he could get Christians out of
political power, people would convert back to Paganism. This time in history brought Pagan
conversions and Pagan members of political authority. After Julian was killed in battle in 363, his
successor came into power to restore Christianity. He passed laws that made worshipping Pagan gods
punishable by death. Christianity went from the minority religion to the majority religion in fifty years
due to converts in favor of the religion of their political leaders. Christian law remained unchanged
until 382 because Rome was in a crisis. This was extremely influential in gaining Christian converts.
Christianity lost popularity for a little while after the fall of Rome. The Fall of Rome brought many
crises to the empire and people were looking for a scapegoat. Pagans blamed Christians for the fall.
Since Christianity had become so

Arguments For Banning Books
Throughout time, countless great children s books have been published and then loved by many. To
name a few, Harry Potter by J.K. Rowling, Nancy Drew by Carolyn Keene and The Hunger Games by
Suzanne Collins. What do these three books have in common? They were all published as children s
books, then kept out of their hands for numerous reasons. Parents and teachers claimed these books
were unfit for children s reading. They either introduced topics that were not open to them yet or went
against their lifestyle. All around the world, great books are being kept from children for doltish
reasons. They are being censored, then banned from their eyes. Taking this literature from them is
ruining their childhood; it is preventing children from learning about the world and being ready for it.
Censoring in children s books needs to become less harsh or else they are going to grow up in a sealed
world. For years now, censoring has been limiting the public s freedom in literature, films, media, and
plenty of other categories. A big section being censored today, that troubles a lot of people, is children
s literature. Books are the most common thing to be censored, especially children s. They continue to
ban books across the world, meant to be enjoyed, for reasons they call valid. A popular excuse for
banning books is the diversity displayed in them. According to How Banning Books Marginalizes
Children , 52% of the books banned in the last 10 years were called diverse context

In June 2013, Edward Snowden leaked secret files on the PRISM Program, a shady program millions
of American never even knew existed. Four years ago, Snowden released numerous files regarding the
NSA s PRISM Program that only a handful of people knew about. Why it is an important issue you
may ask, well honestly you re being watched by our beloved government while we live out our private
lives. This PRISM program should be ended because it invades privacy, violates the constitution, and
weakens the trust we put in our government. To begin, the PRISM program should be shut down

Childhood memories are sometimes covered and obscured beneath the things that come later, like
childhood toys forgotten at the bottom of a crammed adult closet, but they are never lost for good
(Gailman, 5). The young boy in the story returns to his childhood home as an adult and recalls his
memories. As he walks down his lane, the novels protagonist goes from a young man to himself as a
young boy. The young boy shows how a child sees the world around them, while the parents show
how adults see the world. The child s creativity, imaginative, and innocent mind is let loose through
the same situation as the adults from a different perspective. The memories from the neighbor s farm
begin to come back to him and when he sees the pond the smallest memories begin to return. He
recalls that the pond used to be call the ocean by the young girl Lettie. The magic as he recalls began
with his family car and continues to an unknown world in which he brings back an unknowing

An Ad From Nike Called Unlimited You
The ad I choose to analyze was an ad from Nike called Unlimited You . The people that are depicted in
the ad are children, amateur athletes, pro athletes and anyone who has a dream that may seem

men and women in this ad that are competing in high competition. There facial expressions in the ad

Social Cognitive Theory And Social Involvement Theory
Involvement Theory
The involvement theory discusses the amount and level of energy, time, and participation spent
engaged in a particular activity (Lee, Lee Yoo, 2004). Witmer and Singer (1998) defined involvement
as a psychological state experienced as a consequence of focusing one s energy and attention on a
coherent set of stimuli or meaningfully related activities and events (p. 226). The involvement theory
has been used in various disciplines including student involvement, product involvement, and
customer involvement. Rocha Flores et al. (2014) posited that the lack of security awareness or
knowledge among users is an indicator of a low level of information security involvement. According
to Safa et al. (2016) information security knowledge sharing, collaboration, and experience represents
the level of effort, participation and time that users engage in security activities, hence they represent
levels of involvement. Therefore this study will incorporate knowledge sharing, collaboration, and
experience as a measure of involvement to determine their impact on users technology threat
avoidance motivation and further avoidance behavior.
Social Cognitive Theory The social cognitive theory (SCT), formerly known as the social learning
theory (Bandura, 1986) is widely used in the understanding of learning processes. SCT originated
from the areas of psychology and communication and has been used in understanding computer
behavior (Shillair et al., 2015; Cho, Lee, Chung, 2010; Compeau Higgins, 1995; Workman, Bommer,
Straub, 2008; Yi Im, 2004). SCT postulates that human behavior is a dynamic relationship where
cognitive factors and environmental influences interact with behavior factors (Bandura, 1986, 1991,
1997). SCT assists in building confidence and self efficacy, as users learn through observation or
vicarious experiences (Anderson Agarwal, 2010; Bandura, 1991). This learning experience is
influence by the environmental factor, social norm.
Prior computer security related studies examine social influence as a predictor of user behavior
(Culnan Williams, 2009; Hu, Dinev, Hart, Cooke, 2012; Lowry Moody, 2015; Posey et al., 2013 ;
Vance et al., 2013). However, many of these studies

CHIP emerged from a budget negotiation between a Democratic president and Republican Congress.
As such, the program represents a fine balance, designed to maintain equilibrium between states and
the federal government, as well as between political conservatives and liberals. It contains elements of
both an entitlement program and a block grant. States have the option of providing child health
assistance in SCHIP through Medicaid, a separate program, or a combination of the two. There is also
flexibility in benefit design, though benefits must meet certain set standards. As in Medicaid, state
payments for child health assistance under SCHIP qualify for federal matching payments. On average,
the federal government pays 70 percent and state governments pay 30 percent of program costs.
Unlike Medicaid, however, these enhanced federal matching payments are limited by national and
state specific allotments, or annual limits on federal funding. SCHIP has a system to redistribute
federal allotments from states that did not spend the full amount to others that may need higher
amounts. States may use up to 10 percent of their annual allotments on outreach, administration, and
other activities.
A federally funded evaluation found SCHIP to be successful in nearly all of the areas examined. Since
inception in 1997, enrollment has increased steadily to 6.1 million children in FY 2005. This was

What Was The Causes Of The Revolt Of 1857
The Revolt of 1857 1858 that happened in India is known also as the Mutiny of Sepoy in Britain and
as the First War of Indian Independence among the Indian population. It started as the uprising of the
soldiers of the Bengal Presidency Army that aimed to expel the British rule from the territory of India.
However, the uprising spread very quickly all over the northern and central regions of India and soon
the rebellion by the civilian population started in a significant number of military towns of India such
as Allahabad, Cawnpore, Delhi, Lucknow, Meerut, Peshawar and many other towns. Hundreds and
thousands of people had died during the years of this uprising. One of the well known incidents of the
Mutiny was in the town of Cawnpore where ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The main cause of the rebellion is considered to be the East India Company s exploitative and
oppressive policies towards the Indian native soldiers Sepoy. However, there were also many other
causes that in sum resulted in the Rebellion of 1857. During the period between 1820 and 1856 East
India Company acting on the behalf of the British government had been actively maintaining a
number of reforms and policies in India. In addition, different fractions of people wanted to improve
India in different ways. Evangelicals, for example, saw the improvement in India through Christianity
and conversion of the Indian people to it. Liberal reformist thought that only Western education would
bring the barbarous nation to the modern level. Utilitarian saw the improvement in India through the
maintaining good policies. However, the Indian people had a negative attitude towards the active
interference of the British people in their lives and saw the British actions as an assault on ancient
traditions and customs. In addition, there were also two important Governor Generals of India whose
policies accelerated the growing nationalism among the Indian people and resulted in the Great
Uprising. The periods of government of Lord Bentinck and Lord Dalhousie had also contributed to the
mutiny as their reforms were aimed to change the social, economic and political lives of the Indian
people. This essay will analyse all these causes in a more detailed way (From lectures

Life Worthy Of The Calling You Have Received
Live a life worthy of the calling you have received (Ephesians 4:1). In a world where Christianity is
becoming more unusual, it is important for those who are Christians to possess traits such as maturity,
gentleness, patience, and forgiveness. Unfortunately, sometimes these traits are taken over by our
sinfulness. Sin is the rebellion against the divine law of God. As we look at sin today, we see it as a
system of ranking, however God sees all sin as equal. Knowing this, it becomes critical that we don t
conform to what society does. Some sinful behaviors that people should be more educated about are
sex outside of marriage, homosexuality, and sarcasm.
As sex becomes more exposed in society, there are many controversial topics. Sex to some is
considered personal and private, while others believe sex is seductive and it sell. In a survey by The
National Health and Social Life it was discovered that many people say that married sex is the most
satisfying. This interesting finds brings up the topic of God s design for sex. God says that sex is for a
complimentary pair, meaning a man and a woman. God also designed sex to be inside a permanent
union. God created sex for procreation, pleasure, and bonding. The sexual revolution of the 1960s
completely changed what sex looked like in society. Sex was detached from procreation, marriage,
gender, and most importantly God. This sexual revolution trend still continues today. Many people
have sex outside of marriage, and for some

Why Is Circumcision Wrong
Circumcision is a barbaric practice that has no medical purposes besides for appearance and what is
more attractive to the opposite gender. Circumcision is the removal of the foreskin, it is a practice that
got started because of religion. Circumcision is usually performed on the second day after the baby is
born. During a circumcision, the foreskin is freed from the head of the penis, and the extra foreskin is
removed. The foreskin is a normal part of a male child, it is not a birth defect or something that has to
be removed for the safety of the child. Circumcision is painful to the baby boy, they do not give them
medicine to numb the pain or put them to sleep. The baby is in so much pain from the removal of the

Clifford s Views On Religion
Clifford makes an excellent point that we should take into consideration all beliefs and ethics. But his
philosophy that it is wrong always, everywhere, and for anyone, to believe anything upon insufficient
evidence is a little harsh for me. On the other hand James more faith filled philosophy based on his
view of religion, recognizing facts and the truth and how the choices we make in our lives effect us
everyday are some of the more relatable ethics that we can apply in our daily lives and to give us some
guidance in a life full of so many choices. As we know many people have a stance on religion just like
WK Clifford who has a very strong view about religion, but some do not agree. William James for
examples thinks that, Clifford s principles should be not to be applied to religious beliefs because as
he points out moral questions cannot simply be settled by the facts. James argues that we have a right
to believe in some cases, when supporting evidence may be lacking. James sees the basic idea of
religion as having two parts that the best things are the eternal things, and that you will be better off in
the here and now if you believe this. An example of something we almost all believe in without
sufficient evidence, is the emotions we feel often every day. The many emotions we feel everyday
such as happiness, anger, or even sympathy are very often morally relevant to us. Emotions are not
settled by facts we just feel them and for sometimes no reason at all. Like

Examples Of Dystopian Literature
Dystopian literature explores social, political and economic structures by showing us, through a
nightmare world, the negative characteristics using exaggerated critiques on real world issues. The
Dystopian literature of the 21st century is the complete opposite of the Utopia of the 21st century.
While a Utopia is an imagined state of things in which everything is perfect, while a dystopia is an
imagined place or state in which everything is unpleasant or bad, typically a totalitarian or
environmentally degraded one. According to John Adams; The roots of the word dystopia dys and
topia are from the Ancient Greek for bad and place, and so we use the term to describe an unfavorable
society in which to live. Dystopia is not a synonym for post apocalyptic ; it also is not a synonym ...

Divergent includes all aspects of a dystopian novel. Some of these are the illusion of a utopia, constant
surveillance, and fear of the outside world. According to Kyle Jannak Huang; In the novel Divergent,
the society is split into five different factions. At first, it seems like the five factions can all live
together peacefully in a perfect society. Each faction has a role in society. Eventually, factions disagree
and they go to war, showing that the society is not really a perfect one. [4] Demonstrating the
characteristic of the unrealistic utopia that is shown to the reader in the first chapters.
Hunger Games is another dystopian novel in which we see the abuse of power the government has
over its people. Here we see how the government, the Capitol, is a completely totalitarian one. It
portrays the way that ordinary people are being dehumanized in this made up world. This
dehumanization is being caused by the dictatorship led by President Snow. In that dictatorship we can

Organisations and Behavior
(1.1) The organisational structure used in a company is intended to form relationships, motivate,
increase productivity, co ordinate and provide direction between employees. According to the business
dictionary (2013), an organisational structure is the hierarchical arrangement of lines of authority,
communications, rights, and duties of an organisation. It determines how roles, power and
responsibilities are assigned, controlled and coordinated and how information flows between different
levels of management. A structure depends on the organisation s objectives and strategy. There are
many influences on an organisation s structure, some of which are: its size, task, staff, age, its culture

Disadvantages to this structure: conflict between departments is common, it may be costly because
each division is considered its own entity, lack of communication between departments and it may
result in duplication of resources, as said in a management blog. The culture best associated with this
structure would be described as the role culture also known as Apollo. According to the BPP learning
media (2010) role culture refers to the classical, rational organisation bureaucracy. [pic] Figure 1.1
Diagram showing the multidivisional structure. The traditional organisation structure, conforming to
what is said on Buzzle.com, is those types organisational structures that are based on the functional
divisions and departments. These kinds of structures follow the organisation s rules and procedures;
they are characterized by having precise authority lines for all levels of management. This is a
centralised degree of authority. Whereas the contemporary structure has a wide span of control the
traditional structure can be referred to as a tall organisation with a large number of management
hierarchies which leads to a narrow span of control. There is a strict specialization of jobs unlike in the
contemporary design where there is a jobless structure. ** The scalar chain of command

you d like to focus. Why is it particularly newsworthy for Columbia? I would like to focus on the lack
of money for extracurricular activities amongst underprivileged kids. I think this is a very important
issue that is never talked about in the news and one that needs to be brought to life. When most people
get to the extracurricular activities section of a college application, they just list all the things that they
were able to do and don t put any thought in it. It looks great, because it shows that you can not only
do your school work, but balance other activities as well. But what we don t understand is that many
kids never get that chance to participate in these activities, and therefore they don t get to fill out that
section and they get left behind. Take football for a small example. It looks great on a resume because
it is time consuming and takes a lot of willpower. It shows that you can work with a team and if you
are a distinguished athlete with some awards, you might even get some money to go play it in college.

Examples Of Gender Bias In Julius Caesar
In sexism, gender bias has existed throughout history and still exists today. Gender bias is frequently
called sexism or gender discrimination. A study by four researchers, Kelly Jones, Cay Evans, Ronald
Byrd, and Kathleen Campbell, analyzed videotapes of teachers while they taught the students in the
classroom, then they had the teachers watch themselves on the video while pointing out the gender
biased attitudes, languages and behavior; most teachers were surprised to see how they gave their
attention on one gender over the other and the unintentional gender bias happening in the classroom
(A World of Gender Bias, 2015). Researchers recommended methods for the teachers to use when

Sexism puts a barrier on what society views as acceptable for a man and woman to do. It also may be
true that men and women are not necessarily equal physically. Men are scientifically proven are
stronger than women physically in terms of muscles and athletic ability. Men are physically stronger
than women, who have, on the average, less total muscle mass, to the total body mass and men also
have denser, stronger bones, tendons and ligaments (Burton, 2012). Men tend to be larger than women
in size which makes them tend to carry out more muscles and more muscles normally points toward
having more strength than women. But on the other hand, people should approach fairness and not
equality because sexism has negative impacts on the people which causes them to commit suicide. In
Antigone, Antigone was a strong, courageous and an independent person and there was no definite
evidence that Antigone was strong and brave person but based on what the readers gather from the
play Antigone seems psychologically capable of the things that she did more than the other characters.
The leading cause of death of women ages 15 to 19 worldwide is suicide and the most expected reason

The Battle Of The Spanish American War
Lucy Chung Professor Hawkins HIS 173 B 16 December 2014 America was enthusiastic when the
results of the Spanish American war provided them with an opportune time to finally be able to
implement and exercise their political ideologies on smaller and more vulnerable nations. They
believed very confidently that they could successfully restructure these nations, acquired from the
Treaty of Paris, to construct municipal governments that would reflect the American styled democratic
system. Americans set forth various Colonial projects that would provide these small nations with
proper political education with the expectation that they would be able self govern accordingly. They
wanted to instill ideologies of free trade, democracy, and maybe even the sense of justice and liberty
that Americans felt was God s truth. In this argument, I believe the failures of the initial Philippine
colonial project not only retrogressed the islanders back into their primitive informal aristocracy but
actually help unify and modernize a regime that was the complete reversal of American intentions.
The result of the type of Filipino government after reconstruction were significantly constrained by
Anti Imperialists tensions from the metropole and continued to reshape itself by many additional
constraints from the Filipino legislation. Only about fifty years later of political administration would
enable the development of an autonomic government. The implementation of the colonial project for

The Golden Legend By Nadeem Aslam
The novel The Golden Legend by Nadeem Aslam is one filled with many thought provoking scenes.
The novel follows the misfortune that surrounds Nargis and her friends and family. From these events
I found that religious intolerance was one of the main driving forces behind why the events occurred.
Religious intolerance is when a religious group refuses to tolerate practices or beliefs based on
religious grounds. Throughout the novel there are many references to both Christian and Islamic
prejudices and intolerance towards the other religion. In Pakistan, 97% of the population are Muslim
with the remaining 3% being comprised of other religions including Christianity and Judaism;
contrastingly in the United States, 1% of the population is ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Aslam uses the characters in The Golden Legend to depict a Muslim society where there is peace,
while still displaying the underlying current of religious domination which controls the Islamic
society. Lily and Helen are targeted and receive little respect simply for being Christian. Nargis is
treated to the same hostility, although not to the same extent, because she has befriended and supports
them. This hostility is a catalyst to Nargis, Helen and Imran s
Lisa Curtis (2016) writes about Pakistan s history with regard to religious minorities. She mentions the
drive behind creating a true Islamic state and how this has affected the treatment of religious
minorities. Curtis describes the 1980s as a key period in the establishment of the discord between
Pakistan s Muslims and the country s religious minorities, such as Christians. With the tightening of
blasphemy laws in this period by Zia ul Haq more in a push towards having a single religion country,
resulted in an imbalance of rights between Pakistan s religions. Curtis states that blasphemy
allegations were often fabricated, and still are today, in an attempt to intimidate minorities. Blasphemy
laws are very vague with little detail about what a violation entails. But the part of the laws that is
most related to intolerance is that there is no requirement of evidence for the charge of blasphemy.
This results in many innocent people being accused of blasphemy simply for their religion. In The

Kursk, which was the largest tank battle in history. The tank did quite well, but in the end the Germans

Tay Sach s Disease Case Study
Stephanie deDianous, RN
Western Governors University
Tay Sach s Case Study
The purpose of this paper is to discuss the hereditary genetic disease Tay Sach s, discovered during a
pregnancy. The discussion will focus on developing an interdisciplinary team and care plan for the
expectant parents based on their wishes. This paper will also cover any ethical and/or legal dilemmas
that may arise as well as identify counseling needs of those involved. In addition, there will be a
personal reflection about high risk pregnancy, abortion, and the decision made by the expectant
parents.
Background
This study involves a married couple who after two years of trying to conceive a child became ...

Signs and symptoms of the disease do not begin to surface until the child is around six months of age
and it begins with gradual dysfunction of the motor skills. As the nervous system further degrades the
symptoms become worse and the child loses sight, hearing, and mental functionality. Unfortunately
there is no treatment for Tay Sach s except comfort measures and the life expectancy for a child with
infantile Tay Sach s disease is typically four to five years (Ainsworth, 2011). The physician would
need to emphasize that maternal age or lifestyle does not have any part in the cause of this diagnosis.
The physician would then need to explain the options available at this time which are carrying the
child to term or terminating the pregnancy via therapeutic abortion (Tay sachs.org). Depending on the
parent s decision, should they choose to carry the child, they can also choose to care for the infant or
place it for adoption. After the physician has spoken with the family, the RN would need to be there
for the family, not only to listen, but again to answer any questions they may have.
Mr. and Mrs. Trosack have decided to carry their infant to full term and care for their child due to their
religious beliefs. At this time the RN would be responsible to clarify and document the parents wishes.
The RN would be responsible for coordinating appointments with the specialists that

Landfill Storage Sites For The Underground Water Resources
Increasing numbers of natural resources are consumed by modern society, causing growing demands
of waste disposals at the same time. Statistical results showed that landfill facilities had been used as a
main solid waste disposal approach in the past decades. Landfill leachate is the one of primary
concerns of landfill operation. Application of reliable barriers underneath waste disposal sites to
protect underground water resources has become an important research subject. However, any defect
of liner systems can put environment at risk due to the possible leakage. A large number of factors
could cause the landfill liner failures in different ways. One of the main factor is provided by not
enough interface shear strength of the composite liner.
Landfills liner is composed of various geosynthetic and soil components (Jogi, 2005). For domestic
waste systems, the basic structure unit of landfill liner is normally regarded as geosynthetic layer in
contact with compacted clay layer (CCLs) for municipal solid waste landfill. Historical statistics show
side slope liner failures caused by liner sliding able to happen at the interface between CCLs and
geomembrane when the interface have a low shear resistance. The shear strength is probably further
decreased by the presence of water (Reddy 1999). Generally the local clay can be used as compacted
clay liner for economic considerations. Leda clay is a typical type of sensitive marine clay which
covers major area of eastern Ontario

William Shakespeare Authorship
Have you ever questioned if Shakespeare wrote his own plays. In a world of opinions and
speculations, legacies of globally iconic figures can be degraded. For this reason it is not a surprise
many have began to question if Shakespeare really wrote thirty seven plays, 154 sonnets, and five
long narrative poems. Even though that there is a majority of scholars who respect the authorship of
Shakespeare and the many plays and poems he wrote, there is a small minority of literary scholars
who question the authorship of his poems. However over time the arguments by the minority of
scholars have held many different positions and inconsistencies.
To those who attribute themselves to the theory that Shakespeare was not the author of one or more of

Also because he has a lot of experience in writing and acting in a number of sonnets and plays.
Edward also worked in a theatre and was in a acting group called the Oxford Boys . The reason why
people don t think that Edward would be the author is because he was in high status as a nobleman
and it would be stupid of him to trifle in the matters of plays and theatre(Wheeler). This is very similar
to the argument that was used from those who suggested that the Queen may have written the plays as
well but was too shy to reveal her secret of how she loved writing poems and

The Country Of Puerto Rico
Larry W Dumas Jr

World Geography

Puerto Rico
Puerto Rico is an island that is impacted by not having enough land for cultivation. The Three
thousand four hundred and ninety two square miles of this island is about seventy five percent hills or
mountains (Worldmark Encyclopedia of the States b). With the large amount of land consisting of hill
or mountains, Puerto Rico has limited amounts of natural resources. While under Spanish colonial
rule, the island was largely neglected because of its limited mineral resources. Following the Spanish
American war in 1898, the U.S. took over control of the island. The U.S. found itself in control of an
island that produced small scale amounts of sugar and coffee. The U.S would then expand the
sugarcane operations and establish markets to use as a viable trade resource.
I will be discussing how the country of Puerto Rico s impact of resource scarcity, issues with
boundary delineation, separatism and sovereignty issues, poverty, migration, legacies of colonialism
and imperialism, global climate change and its impact. The once poor nation of Puerto Rico now
seems to be a stepping stone for trading in the Caribbean. With its location in the Caribbean, Puerto
Rico is a major asset for shipping lanes. One of the main reasons the U.S. wanted to take over this
land. Its geographical location is important in helping to move resources around the world, as well as
keeping an eye on Cuba. The economic system of

Mccarthyism Vs Crucible
In Salem Massachusetts during the spring of 1962 the witch trials began. These trials stimmed from a
diagnosis by a local doctor named William Griggs, in January of 1692 who diagnosed two young girls
with bewitchment after they were having fits that included: violent expressions, writhing and
uncontrollable outburst of screaming. In February, after other young girls began to have similar signs,
four arrest warrants were issued due to the girls accusing Tituba, Parris Caribbean, Sarah Good and
Sarah Osborn of bewitching them.
By May of 1692, before the new governor of Massachusetts William Phips ordered special courts
(Court of Oyer and Terminer) to hear and determine witchcraft cases hysteria fell upon the
communities.
Tituba and others confessed that they served the devil against the Puritans and in June of 1692 the ...

  • 16. Social Cognitive Theory And Social Involvement Theory Involvement Theory The involvement theory discusses the amount and level of energy, time, and participation spent engaged in a particular activity (Lee, Lee Yoo, 2004). Witmer and Singer (1998) defined involvement as a psychological state experienced as a consequence of focusing one s energy and attention on a coherent set of stimuli or meaningfully related activities and events (p. 226). The involvement theory has been used in various disciplines including student involvement, product involvement, and customer involvement. Rocha Flores et al. (2014) posited that the lack of security awareness or knowledge among users is an indicator of a low level of information security involvement. According to Safa et al. (2016) information security knowledge sharing, collaboration, and experience represents the level of effort, participation and time that users engage in security activities, hence they represent levels of involvement. Therefore this study will incorporate knowledge sharing, collaboration, and experience as a measure of involvement to determine their impact on users technology threat avoidance motivation and further avoidance behavior. Social Cognitive Theory The social cognitive theory (SCT), formerly known as the social learning theory (Bandura, 1986) is widely used in the understanding of learning processes. SCT originated from the areas of psychology and communication and has been used in understanding computer behavior (Shillair et al., 2015; Cho, Lee, Chung, 2010; Compeau Higgins, 1995; Workman, Bommer, Straub, 2008; Yi Im, 2004). SCT postulates that human behavior is a dynamic relationship where cognitive factors and environmental influences interact with behavior factors (Bandura, 1986, 1991, 1997). SCT assists in building confidence and self efficacy, as users learn through observation or vicarious experiences (Anderson Agarwal, 2010; Bandura, 1991). This learning experience is influence by the environmental factor, social norm. Prior computer security related studies examine social influence as a predictor of user behavior (Culnan Williams, 2009; Hu, Dinev, Hart, Cooke, 2012; Lowry Moody, 2015; Posey et al., 2013 ; Vance et al., 2013). William James for examples thinks that, Clifford s principles should be not to be applied to religious beliefs because as he points out moral questions cannot simply be settled by the facts. James argues that we have a right to believe in some cases, when supporting evidence may be lacking. James sees the basic idea of religion as having two parts that the best things are the eternal things, and that you will be better off in the here and now if you believe this. An example of something we almost all believe in without sufficient evidence, is the emotions we feel often every day. Why is it particularly newsworthy for Columbia? I would like to focus on the lack of money for extracurricular activities amongst underprivileged kids. I think this is a very important issue that is never talked about in the news and one that needs to be brought to life. When most people get to the extracurricular activities section of a college application, they just list all the things that they were able to do and don t put any thought in it. It looks great, because it shows that you can not only do your school work, but balance other activities as well. But what we don t understand is that many kids never get that chance to participate in these activities, and therefore they don t get to fill out that section and they get left behind. Take football for a small example. It looks great on a resume because it is time consuming and takes a lot of willpower. It shows that you can work with a team and if you are a distinguished athlete with some awards, you might even get some money to go play it in college. The Battle Of The Spanish American War Lucy Chung Professor Hawkins HIS 173 B 16 December 2014 America was enthusiastic when the results of the Spanish American war provided them with an opportune time to finally be able to implement and exercise their political ideologies on smaller and more vulnerable nations. They believed very confidently that they could successfully restructure these nations, acquired from the Treaty of Paris, to construct municipal governments that would reflect the American styled democratic system. Americans set forth various Colonial projects that would provide these small nations with proper political education with the expectation that they would be able self govern accordingly. They wanted to instill ideologies of free trade, democracy, and maybe even the sense of justice and liberty that Americans felt was God s truth. In this argument, I believe the failures of the initial Philippine colonial project not only retrogressed the islanders back into their primitive informal aristocracy but actually help unify and modernize a regime that was the complete reversal of American intentions.
