Windows Phone is Microsoft's mobile operating system that was launched in 2010. It uses a new "Modern Style" user interface and integrates with Microsoft and third party services. In 2011, Microsoft partnered with Nokia to make Windows Phone the primary smartphone OS for Nokia. Windows Phone 8, announced in 2012, will replace the previous Windows CE architecture with one based on the Windows NT kernel, allowing easier porting of apps between Windows Phone and Windows 8. New Windows Phone 8 devices include the Nokia Lumia 920 and 820, and the HTC Windows Phone 8X. These devices offer advanced cameras, displays, and features and are now available through AT&T.
