This document defines wikis and discusses how they can be used to enhance teaching and learning in higher education. It explains that wikis allow for easy collaboration on websites where content can be created and edited. Examples are provided of how wikis can be used for group assignments, pre-reading assignments, e-portfolios, lab reports, and more. Resources for further reading on using wikis in education are also included.
