Why Personalized Learning
• If someone was to ask me “why personalized learning,” I
believe I could answer that question by citing the advantages
it has over the traditional learning setting.
• Personalized Learning pushes students to move from being
the receiver of information, to a role of being an active
learner. They create their learning goals, and take ownership
of the learning process.
• It gives students who have struggled in the “traditional”
learning process, the opportunity to learn at their own pace.
The student does not move forward until they obtain mastery.
• Teachers are no longer just “lecturers,” They become
facilitators of learning through the use of collaborative
groups.
• Personalized learning builds confidence in the learner, and
promotes leadership qualities, and social skills.
• In personalized learning, learners take pride in their
performance, and it builds confidence in their ability to learn
to new concepts.
