This could have been achieved in a number of ways. Not all students building their bacteria go
down the same pathway to kill the host. Students could use different ways to test out their
hypothesis, essentially demonstrating critical scientific inquiry skills (Wilcox, 2015) such as
gathering relevant data to test the hypothesis chosen.
The way I chose to kill the host was to use prior knowledge and knowledge built up from the
previous modules to gather as much information to allow me to predict the result of the hypothesis.
The students learn about antibiotic resistance, natural selection and a real life application example.
There are questions following the content. The hypothesis reads: If bacteria survive one application
of an antibiotic then it will survive another application of the same antibiotic. The bacteria
illustrated below (figure 1) identifies the characteristics chosen from the acquisition of knowledge
from the modules prior to this screen. For example, I added phagocyte slowing and killer toxin and
a trait that improves the environment by hurting the host. These traits were added as prior
knowledge and information from the modules contributed to choosing these. This is what the
students will end up creating after learning about the most favorable characteristics the superbug
needs. They can then view the data and see how many times the bacteria survive an application of
antibiotics (Figure 2). Students can also compare how mutated bacteria go against each other
(Figure 3) teaching them how to analyse and interpret data from their observations. For example,

Imperialism is the act of dominating a society or a group. It involves the subjugation of a
population. It dictates the political and economic advantage over a land and the indigenous people
they control. A society is introduced to concepts of industrialization and they are pressured or

able to feel or respond to pain. Therefore, nurses need to assess those patients in repositioning to
decrease the risk of developing pressure ulcers (REF).
Nurses need to realise what they are looking for when performing skin assessments for patients. A
study conducted by Thoroddsen et al (2013), found that out of 45 patients that had pressure ulcers
only 27 were correctly recorded in the patient s records.
A study conducted over seven years by Amir et al (2011) showed a significant decline of pressure

The hero s journey is a long and arduous one, but ends up being quite rewarding in the end. The
hero follows the road of growth and education until they are ready to pursuit their goals and save
the day. Two such heroes journeys are the stories of Will Stronghold in Sky High (2005) and
Hercules of Hercules (1997). Both, Will and Hercules, want to be heroes and correlate through
the ideals of: lacking of powers, making their fathers proud, and wanting to save the day. Thus,

First, in Sky High, Will is a young freshman attending high school for super teens with both of
