Teamwork And Communication Of The Healthcare Field Essay
Teamwork and communication are very important in providing good quality care, especially in the
healthcare field. A team is described as a group of people that works together and cooperatively,
between each member of the group to reach a common goal (Sullivan, 2013). For a team to function,
communication is essential. A report by McKay and Crippen (2008), as stated by Alfaro LeFevre,
(2013) showed that when collaboration is in place, hospitals can decrease their mortality rate by 41%.
When mortality rate is lower, hospitals does not only decreased cost, but it also means that patients are
receiving good quality care. In the hospital, a team includes a CEO, managers, supervisors, charge
nurses, medical doctors, nurses, nursing assistants, social workers and maintenance crews; it can also
include many other members. In addition, a well functioning team is led by a good leader; a leader
does not necessary mean the CEO, but someone who is driven, knowledgeable, and a good
communicator. Charge nurse and nurses are normally the one that handles the care of patients in the
hospital. Both charge nurses and nurses can be considered leaders. It is why, it is very crucial that
nurses are good communicators. One would say that nurses are the spoke person of a hospital to its
patients. The nurses care for their patient closely, they communicate with the doctors regarding the
care of the patient; they communicate with the pharmacies, nursing assistant, colleagues, and many
more. Those

Thomas Keller Research Paper
Chef of all Chefs: Thomas Keller
Thomas Keller is the one and only American chef to receive more than one three star rating from the
Michelin Guide. Keller has numerous awards and recognitions for his talent within the food world. He
is not only an amazing chef, but he is a revolutionary one. Keller says his cooking style is an
evolutionary process in that it is always growing and changing much like the world. Thomas Keller is
a very, very successful chef given that he didn t attend any special, high priced culinary schools to
learn what he knows or get to where he is now compared to the countless number of people that do go
to culinary school and don t get much farther. Keller has opened multiple restaurants that have been

He later began cooking at the same restaurant. Further down the line, in Narragansett, Rhode Island he
took on the job of working at The Dunes Club for Roland Henin. Henin said he had originally hired
Keller to prepare meals for the staff, who were often the daughters and sons of the members of the
club. Henin also mentioned that the staff stopped their incessant whining, or as Henin said bitching , a
few days after Keller was hired as staff chef. Keller was able to gain approval with attention and care
in detail. He cooked with an emotion that just screamed love for his work. That landed him his
upgrade to night saucier, which is right under sous chef. Becoming night saucier led him to learning
the fundamentals of classic cooking. Keller mentions that this was a turning point in his career, he
became very serious about cooking. Keller describes that Henin taught him how the great cooks
operated and that their job also requires the nurturing of people. Keller went on to work for various
establishments in Florida and New York. He then decided it was time to move to Paris in 1983, where
he worked for various Michelin starred restaurants such as Guy Savoy. He returned to New York a
short time later to La Reserve which gained him critical attention as chef de cuisine. He then
cofounded a restaurant with Serge Raoul

The Navy Is Easing Its Tattoo Policy
The Navy is easing its tattoo policy in a bid to recruit and retain more Sailors from the millennial
generation, of whom more than one in three sport body art.
Sailors will be allowed to have neck tattoos, sleeves and even markings behind their ears under the
new policy, the most lenient of any military service. Only their heads are off limits under the new
policy, which the Navy s top Sailor has called a reality check on the permanent art favored by Sailors.
The leadership is going to reflect this new generation and mix it with the needs of the Navy. We need
to make sure we are not missing any opportunities to recruit or retain talents because of old policies.
1.1.4 Summary of major issues and/or findings
Conduct more training. Training costs both time and money. This will be accounted for in the
calculation of Net Present Value. The new rules will be enforced by our senior leadership across more
than 1,500 commands. All levels of leadership and recruiters will require training on enforcing the
revised rules, with a focus on location and context rules. Leaders need to provide clear examples of
offensive tattoos and placements that are off limits, so they can evenly enforce the standards
throughout the fleet.
Establish an appeals process. Nothing is really in place and we could lose talented individuals if
proper leadership tact is not applied. The cost of losing talent will be explained in our cost and

The Dream Of The Rood Essay
Salvation Since the start of Christianity, it is said that the way of life is only to seek salvation. In the
poem, The Dream of the Rood, it is assumed to have been written in the 8th century, but there is no
exact time or authorship. By the 8th century, most of Anglo Saxon England were Christian. This was a
time where Roman Catholic Christianity was being shaken to the core by other entities, such as
paganism and Islamic invaders. The Dream of the Rood is intended to persuade people into
Christianity, salvation and acknowledging the power of God. At the start of the poem, the narrator is
having a dream where he is speaking to the cross on which Jesus Christ was crucified. He is astound
by the beauty of the gems decorating the cross but also seems to be alarmed by the drops of blood that
are smeared on the gems and on the side of the cross. There is an indication of the narrator s struggle;
his struggle of faith. The author indicates the following quote to plant the idea of a man in distress due
to his crippling faith:
This was surely no felon s gallows, for holy spirits beheld it, men upon earth, and all this glorious
creation. Wonderful was the triumphant tree, and I stained with sin, wounded with wrongdoing. I saw
the tree of wonder, adorned with clothes, shine brilliantly, decked with gold;
Torres 2 splendidly had jewels covered the Lord s tree. But through that gold I might see wretches
ancient agony, for now it began to bleed upon the right side. I was sadly

Big Brother And Popular Culture

Video is available via the live internet feeds that allows viewers to watch cast members 24 hours a
day. Although this has increased the voyeuristic nature of the television show it was necessary because
in the original European format of the show it was the views who vote out houseguest that were
nominated for eviction. This puts pressure on the guest because the live feeds, the interaction with the
guest and the lack of interaction can affect their success on the show. In the North American format

called underdogs, they are the people viewed as most likely not to win in a competition. In Big
Brother U.S the Underdog who when outnumbered saved himself was Ian Terry, he also went on to
win his season.
Producers try to cast people with large personalities as this creates the most drama and they are
interesting to watch. In Canada, it appears that they are also trying to encompass diversity. The
houseguest varies in education levels, sexual orientation, race and gender. Eric Hoyt points out that the
show does not go for the standardization of culture, but that the set and rules are formatted and
adapted to suit local tastes. An example is Big Brother Argentina did not like the class separation of

Compare and Contrast Pope Francis vs. Pope Benedict XVI Essay
I would like to compare/contrast Pope Francis vs. Pope Benedict XVI. During his first year in office,
Pope Francis has become one of the world s greatest social innovators. Many have celebrated Pope
Francis as a spiritual leader, diplomat, and a politician. Pope Francis is a leader to start something new
by launching a global campaign against hunger. Using social media, such as YouTube, Pope Francis
sent his message out to elect a day, December 10th, for a world wide rally. Additionally, Pope Francis
is known for sending out tweets @Pontifex. By the use of social media, the Pope has captured
attention all across the globe. Take for instance the time Pope Francis washed the feet of Muslim
women in prison. Bloggers went wild with photos that ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Sometimes the things that have been forgotten can be viewed as new by reminding us of what is
important (Watson, 2013). Pope Francis actions reflect a social innovator and some may call
intrapreneur (Dearing, 2014). The definition of intrapreneur is a person within a large corporation who
takes direct responsibility for turning an idea into a profitable finished product through assertive risk
taking and innovation (Pinchot, 2010).
Pope Benedict business goals
As of January 20, 2013 Pope Benedict has 12,739 followers on Twitter.
In his 2009 encyclical, Pope Benedict XVI conveys issue about the international economic system and
its overemphasis on benefit at the price of individual and group needs. Without question, one of the
biggest threats for companies is that they are almost specifically responsible to their traders, thereby
restricting their public value. The pope s solution to this situation is not only government control of
companies, but the development of new business designs where human and group results are regarded
an integral aspect of the main point here. In many ways, he explains substitute companies that are
aspect of the quickly growing solidarity economic system.
Brand Effectiveness
Pope Francis was encountered with a church experiencing loss of client involvement, reduction in
attendance, and in some marketplaces adverse business development. There

Factors Influencing The Collaboration Of The New Testament
LIBERTY UNIVERSITY FACTORS INFLUENCING THE COLLABORATION OF THE NEW
TESTAMENT By Daniel Surmi CHHI 520 05 October, 2014 INTRODUCTION This paper will
examine the internal and external factors which spurred and led to the well known theologian
Athanasius proposing the now existing New Testament books of the Holy Scriptures. The internal
factors that will be examined in this paper include: Docetism, Judaism, Gnosticism, Marcionism,
Montanism, and Apollinarianism. Secondly this paper will view how the false prophets influenced not
only the doctrine of Christ but sought to take advantage of the Church s generous heart for personal
profit and gain. The external factors this paper will evaluate are: the persecution of the church and the
influence of pagan cultures surrounding the Christian Gentiles. The events and topics covered will be
from the 1st to 3rd century AD. Lastly this paper will look at the churches response to these factors as
they will create an authoritative list of writings in which Christians can rest on and use as a foundation
for their belief in Christ. All information and data in this paper is gathered from peer reviewed,
published journals and vetted educational websites. TABLE OF CONTENTS INTERNAL

Role of Retinal Waves on Three Aspects of Visual System...
Periodic spontaneous activity is found in many parts of the developing central nervous system
including the spinal cord, cortex, hippocampus and retina, and evidence suggests that this activity
could underlie aspects of development such as axon guidance, local circuit formation and
establishment of sensory maps (Feller, 1999). In the retina, this phenomenon has been studied in detail
because its circuitry is stereotypic and its activity can be manipulated easily in development. Before
eye opening, retinal circuits undergo a great deal of maturation and refinement. The immature circuits
spontaneously generate propagating bursts of action potentials called retinal waves. Retinal waves
correlate the firing of retinal ganglion cells (RGCs) and play a role in establishing and refining circuits
in the visual system, but there is a great deal of controversy about whether waves play an instructive
or a permissive role in neuronal development. The term instructive implies that retinal activity
contains information that affects the formation of synaptic connections, while the term permissive
implies that activity is necessary at some minimum level in order for the refinement to occur. This
review will focus on the role of retinal waves on three aspects of visual system development eye
specific segregation in the thalamus, retinotopic refinement in the superior colliculus, and
establishment of cortical columns and summarize the existing arguments for the role of retinal waves

The Strange Case Of Dr. Jekyll And Robert Lewis Stevenson
The doctrine that there are two independent divine beings or eternal principles, one good and the other
evil. This definition of dualism and duality provide a great foundation to what I am attempting to
portray as one of the biggest themes in the book The Strange Case of Dr.Jekyll and Mr.Hyde Robert
Lewis Stevenson. Dualism and the idea of duality are the main theme I would like to focus on in this
essay. In reality, the duality of man is often analyzed as merely a possibility. We tryto investigate this
facet of human behavior and spend much time trying to determine the ways that a dual personality can
affect people. Today s movies and literature deal with the possibility of a good and evil twin residing
in the same body, sometimes in

Moral Development In To Kill A Mockingbird
Lawrence Kohlberg is known for his theory of moral development developed in 1958. His theory was
dependent on the thinking of Swiss psychologist Jean Piaget and American philosopher John Dewey.
It consists of three levels of moral reasoning: preconventional, conventional, and postconventional.
These levels are based on the degree to which an individual accommodates to the conventional
standards of society. Each level aquires two stages that serve as different standards of sophistication in
moral reasoning. Overall, Kohlberg affirms that moral development is a process of maturing that
emerges from thinking about about moral issues ( Kohlberg s Moral Development ). Jem Finch is one

Evidently, negative actions would result in some form of punishment. For example, a little kid at
school wouldn t steal someone else s toy because they d fear getting punished by the teacher. For stage
two, there is a minor difference in one s reasoning. Stage two now has to do with mutual benefits and
focuses on individualism (Kohlberg s Theory). Morals are now guided by what is seen as fair . This
stage portrays that the right behavior means acting in one s own finest interest (A summary of
Lawrence). An example for this would be someone being rude towards another individual because that
same person was being rude earlier to them (Lawrence Kohlberg). Kohlberg s second level from his
theory is conventional moral reasoning. This is primarily people following social norms and customs
(Kohlberg s Theory). The laws and rule are sustained simply because they are laws and rules that must
be followed ( Kohlberg s Moral Development ). The second level is generally found in society hence
the name of this level being conventional . Stages three and four are included in the conventional
level. Stage three focuses heavily on peer approval (Lawrence Kohlberg). Individuals are merely
trying to please others so they will follow rules or do what others want them to do in order to gain
their approval ( Kohlberg s Moral Development ). Many will follow

it dictated the ruling of Chinese emperors during the time. The Mandate of Heaven asserted that only

Microscope Research Paper
How are the photographs taken with a 3D microscope different than those taken with a regular
camera? How are they similar?
They are different, because you can see so much more when you look through a microscope. For
instance, you can see a strand of hair through a camera, at a tenth of a millimeter, but not a cell, at
100th of a millimeter.
How can photography allow us to view the world around us in different ways?
By taking memories, and valueing them. Teaching us to cherish the times spent with loved ones, and
when they are gone, to be grateful for that time with them, and grateful for the beautiful visual
memories, and the beautiful mental memories of our time spent with them.

Karma Of Hinduism And Western Culture
Karma in Hinduism Western Culture Karma is a well known term that has been used throughout the
ages. Though it was first used through Hinduism, people from all over the world and from different
cultures have all learn its definition and use it in their daily lives. While in Hinduism, karma is a
normal part of their lives and path to God, but in Western culture, karma is normally welcomed when
there is revenge to be had or a reward to be received. In some cases it could be both. In Hinduism,
karma is basically cause and effect. It leaves no room for chances and depends heavily on personal
responsibility, so no saying that an event happened by luck, good or bad (Huston 64). This idea can
sometimes lead other outside the religion and few in to relate it to fatalism, but to Hindus that
understand it, it is not like fatalism at all (Huston 65). For them, karma allows for you to make choices
freely, but with each choice does come consequences, but not every consequence is bad. It is all
choices and consequences are all based of what the soul or jiva wanted(Huston 65). The actions of a
jiva, or the choices it makes, will all lead to an eventual life of repetition of wanting more out of life,
but if it can see past the game that it is and insteads goes after something infinite and eternal, then will
the jiva fill more complete (Huston 66). For Hindus, karma is just another part of their lives but does
not bring fear to them. Meanwhile, in western societies, karma is many times

Characteristics Of New England Colonies
When established, the British colonies had three divisions which are New England, Middle, and the
Southern. Each of these geographic regions had some developments which were unique and different
from other sectors. Some of the stark differences were because of geopolitical, religious, economic,
and social factors. Although all regions were marked by tremendous growth, they experienced
differences in their management style and trading pact. The New England Colonies included the
colonies of Connecticut, Colony of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations, Massachusetts, and
Province of New Hampshire. The colonies were where the Englishmen settled and lived. Their
economy, religion, and politics grew gradually due to various factors which include the community
setting where lands were separated into small portions. The settlers of the New England traded sugar
and molasses with other parts of the world. Also, this colony practiced subsistence farming where they
produced enough food for their family need. Before farming, these colonies had small scale factories
and built ships to improve their economy. They were Puritans. They formed this religion after freeing

The Moon Compare To The Moons Of Other Planets
Project 1: How Does the Moon Compare to the Moons of Other Planets
Earth s moon did not always exist. According to a theory known as the Big Whack, a roving planetoid,
Theia, and the ancient Earth were on the same plane in the solar system. Theia, which is believed to
have been at least the size of Mars, collided with the ancient Earth approximately 4.5 billion years
ago. The resulting debris, material from the ancient Earth s mantle, is what is said to have formed our
current day moon. All of the debris broke off of the ancient Earth and proceeded to fill the air. All of
this debris then eventually congealed and formed a solid moon.
When making a comparison between our moon and those of other planets it is interesting to view the
number of moons each planet has, their size, and their proportion of mass as compared to the planet.
Within the terrestrial planets, Mercury and Venus do not have moons, Earth has one moon, and Mars
has two. Earth has only one moon and this moon is only 1.2% of the mass of Earth. Mars has two
moons and they are 0.00002% of the mass of the planet. The Jovian planets have a much larger
number of moons. Jupiter has sixty seven, Saturn has fifty three, Uranus has twenty seven, and
Neptune has thirteen. Jupiter s many moons are 0.013% of the mass of the planet as a whole. Saturn s
moon are 0.04% of the planet s mass. Uranus moons comprise 0.01% of the mass of the planet.
Finally, Neptune s moons make up 0.02% of the planet s

Essay on Tax Reform in The United States
The current tax policy in the United States is very confusing and it is very costly for our government
to administer it. It is in the best interest of our country and its citizens to revise or replace our current
tax policy. While most taxpayers agree that tax reform is necessary for our country the problem they
encounter is the difficulty they experience when trying to understand all the political terms used when
discussing tax reform. This paper is an attempt to help the taxpayers of our country to better
understand the political terminology and gain knowledge about some of the proposals that have been
explored. Like most taxpayers, many politicians also agree that tax reform is necessary in the United
States, but that is ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The last option that Warren explained was rationalization of the relationships between two tax bases
such as income and social security taxes, state and federal taxes, and federal corporate and individual
income taxes. Integration of the corporate and individual income taxes has come to mean eliminating
the double burden of the corporate and individual income taxes, where it exists, and substituting a
system in which investor and corporate taxes are interrelated in a manner that eliminates or reduces
the foregoing distortions. The goal is to produce a uniform levy on capital income, whether earned
through corporate enterprise or not (Warren 9).
One popular method of tax reform that some of the experts in this field think is worth considering is
implementing a flat tax also known as a consumption tax. J. D. Foster says that any tax with a single
tax rate could be considered a flat tax. An article from the website Tax Policy Center defines
consumption as being income less savings (Gale). The major difference between an income tax and a
consumption tax is the way savings are taxed. With an income tax all income is taxed when it is
earned and again when interest is earned on any savings. Critics of an income tax say that this is
double taxation and

Republican Presidential Hopeful Ted Cruz On A Five Stop...
Republican presidential hopeful Ted Cruz on Friday crisscrossed Iowa on a five stop campaign event
swing through the state as he continues to built a strong support amongst Republican voters with just
100 days left into the Iowa caucus. The latest Bloomberg Politics/Des Moines Register poll released
on Friday has Cruz in third place with 10% in Iowa. Ben Carson is in first place in Iowa with 28%
while Donald Trump is now in second with 19%. Even though Cruz is positioned to earn one of the
three tickets out of Iowa, he still needs to snatch up more voters from the other Republican candidates
who are vying for the same fraction of evangelicals conservative that are taking away votes from
Cruz.
In the televised town hall meeting, 200 Iowans assembled in Council Bluffs to hear Cruz speak
followed by taking questions from the audience on certain issues such as energy, agricultural and
college debt.
Cruz spoke for about an hour at Pottawattamie County Republican Party making the case for why he
is capable of being commander in chief. Laying out his aggressive agenda platform as President, Cruz
said there are five policies he would implement on the first day. The presidential hopeful has
emphasized his first day as president statements throughout the campaign trail, however it still has
won him loyal followers among christians and conservative movement especially in Iowa.

Critique Of A Qualitative Essay
This essay critically appraises a research article, and the title of this article is; Intimate partner
violence among pregnant young women: a qualitative inquiry. The article title clearly explains the
research, without being too extensive, using extraneous words or explaining the results found. The
basic concept of a title should provide a summary of the content. A good title should be straight
forward; a poorly written title will defer readers. Key words serve as key elements in the article,
including intimate partner violence, women s health, early pregnancy, resilience, qualitative research.

The Network Structure Is Called Learning Beyond
Organization Description
The organization we will be working for to organize and implement their network structure is called
Learning Beyond. It is a small educational program that students can attend after school in place of the
after school child care. It provides a fun educational environment for students who are in need of
additional tutoring in certain subjects, or who wish to expand their knowledge beyond the school day.
As of right now, it is fairly small, but we would like room for additional growth as the program gains
popularity. The basic requirements are two main instructor computers, 10 student laptops, and one
wireless printer. Internet access will be needed for each of these computers as well. An additional
building will later be provided at an alternate location that will need to be connected to this main
network. A Juniper Router will be needed, since the operating system the computers will be running
will be JUNOS. We will configure the network to be run on the IPv6 addressing system, to prevent the
need of reconfiguration when the mass crossover to IPv6 occurs. The network needs to be configured
to add any additional devices that will be needed in the future as the program grows.
Configuring IPv6 on a Juniper router A router on the network will provide the ability to connect
multiple local area networks (LAN) together in order for them to communicate. In this case, we will
be using a Juniper router to accommodate the JUNOS operation system.

Bees Pollination And Their Importance
An Analysis on Bees, Pollination, and Their Importance Abstract: This paper explores the roles of
bees in their hives and dissecting their extremely sophisticated colonies, with a focus on how they
pollinate and why pollination is detrimental to agriculture. In my research I discuss the causes of their
declination, and what kind of preventative actions we can take as inhibitors and consumers to support
them. This analysis draws upon primary and secondary sources including online journals. What does
our world look like without bees? Less green, and less resourceful in several aspects for sure.

There are a few types of roles within each colony that demands different responsibilities from each
bee, and not any one position is more onerous than the other. The only bees that are held responsible
for pollinating are worker bees and these bees are all females unable to reproduce. They are
responsible for cleaning and maintaining a sterile the hive by removing dead bees or larvae which
prevent diseases from spreading. Worker bees also feed the queen, collect nectar, pollen, and make the
wax for the hive. The responsibilities of drone bees are significantly less demanding because the only
purpose is to mate with the queen, and most of them aren t even able to. Eventually these drone bees
are kicked out the hive in the fall because of how difficult it is for worker bees to provide for them
during the strenuous winter season. Finally, the queen s obligations to the hive is simply to reproduce
as she is the only fertile bee in the hive. The queen is unable to provide for herself, but it compensates
for the fact that she is able to reproduce up to 2000 eggs per day, which ultimately promotes the
sustainability of the hive. Her life expectancy is significantly much longer than the rest of the hive
members, which can be up to 4 years, in comparison to 6 8 weeks of a normal bee. Aside from these
tasks, there are many other aspects that are specific to bees that truly make them a sophisticated and
extremely developed society. For example, fanning is an act that the worker bees perform outside the
hive in order to maintain the temperature a constant and

wonder that the animals were slowly rellocate to the animal kingdom and that the park was inevitably

With the closures of both parks being accounted for, our final question still remains. Why did Disney

Gung Ho
I recently read Gung Ho! written by Ken Blanchard and Sheldon Bowles. This book gives a unique
perspective on the leader versus manager concepts. It depicts the struggles a General Manager faces as
she is given the daunting task of running Walton Works # 2. This book shows how motivation,
appreciation, and respect can help to transform a self destructive plant into a thriving successful
business.
While on the surface Peggy Sinclair, the General Manager, thought that she was being rewarded, it did
not take longer than one day on the job to realize she was being set up. She had authored a staff
study which concluded that Old Man Morris s new strategic plan had a fatal flaw (Blanchard 2).

Andy believed that information is the gatekeeper to power. [He] wanted the team in charge, with the
power to make decisions and make things happen (Blanchard 112). The finishing department had
charts and reports hanging on the walls. Sharing this information allows for employees to know that
what they do impacts others and any safe time saving techniques they can develop or any time passing
with no injuries can positively affect the bottom line.
Andy and Peggy were transformational leaders. They inspire[d] people to do the unexpected, above
and beyond the plan (Kreitner 511). They wanted the employees to think outside the box and also to
be proud of the work they did each day. Taking pride in what they did improved the quality and
efficiency of the work and in turn helped to bolster morale throughout the plant.
A management style used in Gung Ho was delegation. Delegation is assigning various degrees of
decision making authority to lower level employees (Kreitner 337). When Walton Works #2 was going

The Testament Of The Bible
The Bible simply says in Isaiah 55:9, For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways
higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts. God does work His wonders in ways that
are beyond finding out! The congregation at Calvary has heard repeatedly about the classic book
called Pilgrims Progress. In this timeless book there is a man named Mr. Worldly Wise. It doesn t take
long for a Christian to realize that he shouldn t have listened to this man. Mr. Worldly Wise does not
have the mind of God. There would appear to be great wisdom coming from his mouth, but it s not
from God. Something that will have to be accepted by faith, no matter how good the intentions, if the
direction that a person is going is not governed by God s wisdom, that journey, that path, will end in
hopelessness. The Church, His blood bought Church, has the special revelation called the New
Testament. One would think, with all the technology, modern science and medicine, that the Church
would evolve to a place in society where the message of reaching the world would be different than it
was when the Church began. But lest we forget the declaration of Isaiah, His ways are not our ways.
The giant gulf that separates God and man is impassable. There is no way to get from here to there
apart from the wisdom of God. His wisdom is completely separate from worldly wisdom. As Paul
makes clear in 1 Corinthians 1:18 25, For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are

National African American History Year
Every year, February is to be known as the Black History Month, or formally known as National
African American History Month. It is an annual commemoration of achievements by African
Americans and a time for recognizing the central role of African Americans in United States history.
Black History Month had its origins in 1915 when Dr. Cater G. Woodson and his colleagues founded
the Association for the Study of Negro Life and History ( African American History Month, 2014).
This organization is now known as the Association for the Study of African American Life and
History. Through this organization, Dr. Cater G. Woodson played the greatest role in helping all
Americans know the Black past by initiating Negro History Week in Washington, D.C. in February
1926 (Bunch, 2012). Dr. Woodson selected the week in February that included the birthdays of
Abraham Lincoln and Frederick Douglass due to the fact they were key figures in the history of
African Americans ( African American History Month, 2014). According to Bunch (2012), Woodson
believed that the black experience was too important simply to be left to a small group of academics.
Dr. Cater G. Woodson, a son of a slave, was born in New Canton, Virginia on December 19, 1875
(Bellis, n.d.). Although he did not enter high school until the age of 20, he continued to study at Berea

Seventh-Day Adventists
Introduction
Seventh day Adventists
The Seventh day Adventist Church is a Millennialist Protestant Christian denomination that was
founded in the 1860s in the USA.
The name Seventh day Adventist is based on the Church s observance of the biblical Sabbath on
Saturday, the seventh day of the week. Advent means coming and refers to their belief that Jesus
Christ will soon return to this earth.
Seventh day Adventists differ in only four areas of beliefs from the mainstream Trinitarian Christian
denominations. These are the Sabbath day, the doctrine of the heavenly sanctuary, the status of the
writings of Ellen White, and their doctrine of the second coming and millennium.
Adventists live modest lives, with a strict code of ethics. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The remnant
The remnant is a church that has the duty of keeping faith in Jesus and obedience to God s
commandments alive in this time when many people have abandoned true faith.
This remnant announces the arrival of the judgment hour, proclaims salvation through Christ, and
heralds the approach of the second coming.
The great controversy
The great controversy is the battle between Satan and Christ. Humanity is involved in this battle and
should choose Christ.
The Heavenly Sanctuary
The correct understanding of the ministration in the heavenly sanctuary is the foundation of our faith.
Ellen G. White, Evangelism
The Old Testament teaches that the Aaronic priests ministered within a sanctuary.
That sanctuary (a tabernacle or a temple) was a man made version of the sanctuary that God created in
Heaven, which is the Temple of God in Heaven; the place where God lives.
Adventists believe that Christ, as the high priest of the new covenant, ministers in the heavenly
sanctuary.
He said to me, It will take 2,300 evenings and mornings; then the sanctuary will be reconsecrated.
Daniel 8:14
We do have such a high priest, who sat down at the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in heaven,
and who serves in the sanctuary, the true tabernacle set up by the Lord, not by man.
Hebrews 8: 1 2

  • 2. Teamwork And Communication Of The Healthcare Field Essay Teamwork and communication are very important in providing good quality care, especially in the healthcare field. A team is described as a group of people that works together and cooperatively, between each member of the group to reach a common goal (Sullivan, 2013). For a team to function, communication is essential. A report by McKay and Crippen (2008), as stated by Alfaro LeFevre, (2013) showed that when collaboration is in place, hospitals can decrease their mortality rate by 41%. When mortality rate is lower, hospitals does not only decreased cost, but it also means that patients are receiving good quality care. In the hospital, a team includes a CEO, managers, supervisors, charge nurses, medical doctors, nurses, nursing assistants, social workers and maintenance crews; it can also include many other members. In addition, a well functioning team is led by a good leader; a leader does not necessary mean the CEO, but someone who is driven, knowledgeable, and a good communicator. Charge nurse and nurses are normally the one that handles the care of patients in the hospital. Both charge nurses and nurses can be considered leaders. It is why, it is very crucial that nurses are good communicators. One would say that nurses are the spoke person of a hospital to its patients. The nurses care for their patient closely, they communicate with the doctors regarding the care of the patient; they communicate with the pharmacies, nursing assistant, colleagues, and many more. Keller has numerous awards and recognitions for his talent within the food world. He is not only an amazing chef, but he is a revolutionary one. Keller says his cooking style is an evolutionary process in that it is always growing and changing much like the world. Thomas Keller is a very, very successful chef given that he didn t attend any special, high priced culinary schools to learn what he knows or get to where he is now compared to the countless number of people that do go to culinary school and don t get much farther. Further down the line, in Narragansett, Rhode Island he took on the job of working at The Dunes Club for Roland Henin. Henin said he had originally hired Keller to prepare meals for the staff, who were often the daughters and sons of the members of the club. Henin also mentioned that the staff stopped their incessant whining, or as Henin said bitching , a few days after Keller was hired as staff chef. Keller was able to gain approval with attention and care in detail. He cooked with an emotion that just screamed love for his work. That landed him his upgrade to night saucier, which is right under sous chef. Becoming night saucier led him to learning the fundamentals of classic cooking. Keller mentions that this was a turning point in his career, he became very serious about cooking. Keller describes that Henin taught him how the great cooks operated and that their job also requires the nurturing of people. Keller went on to work for various establishments in Florida and New York. He then decided it was time to move to Paris in 1983, where he worked for various Michelin starred restaurants such as Guy Savoy. He returned to New York a short time later to La Reserve which gained him critical attention as chef de cuisine. He then cofounded a restaurant with Serge Raoul ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The Navy Is Easing Its Tattoo Policy The Navy is easing its tattoo policy in a bid to recruit and retain more Sailors from the millennial generation, of whom more than one in three sport body art. Sailors will be allowed to have neck tattoos, sleeves and even markings behind their ears under the new policy, the most lenient of any military service. Only their heads are off limits under the new policy, which the Navy s top Sailor has called a reality check on the permanent art favored by Sailors. The leadership is going to reflect this new generation and mix it with the needs of the Navy. We need to make sure we are not missing any opportunities to recruit or retain talents because of old policies. 1.1.4 Summary of major issues and/or findings Conduct more training. Training costs both time and money. This will be accounted for in the calculation of Net Present Value. The new rules will be enforced by our senior leadership across more than 1,500 commands. All levels of leadership and recruiters will require training on enforcing the revised rules, with a focus on location and context rules. Leaders need to provide clear examples of offensive tattoos and placements that are off limits, so they can evenly enforce the standards throughout the fleet. Establish an appeals process. Nothing is really in place and we could lose talented individuals if proper leadership tact is not applied. The cost of losing talent will be explained in our cost and benefits sections below. • 6. The Dream Of The Rood Essay Salvation Since the start of Christianity, it is said that the way of life is only to seek salvation. In the poem, The Dream of the Rood, it is assumed to have been written in the 8th century, but there is no exact time or authorship. By the 8th century, most of Anglo Saxon England were Christian. This was a time where Roman Catholic Christianity was being shaken to the core by other entities, such as paganism and Islamic invaders. The Dream of the Rood is intended to persuade people into Christianity, salvation and acknowledging the power of God. At the start of the poem, the narrator is having a dream where he is speaking to the cross on which Jesus Christ was crucified. He is astound by the beauty of the gems decorating the cross but also seems to be alarmed by the drops of blood that are smeared on the gems and on the side of the cross. There is an indication of the narrator s struggle; his struggle of faith. The author indicates the following quote to plant the idea of a man in distress due to his crippling faith: This was surely no felon s gallows, for holy spirits beheld it, men upon earth, and all this glorious creation. Wonderful was the triumphant tree, and I stained with sin, wounded with wrongdoing. I saw the tree of wonder, adorned with clothes, shine brilliantly, decked with gold; Torres 2 splendidly had jewels covered the Lord s tree. But through that gold I might see wretches ancient agony, for now it began to bleed upon the right side. I was sadly ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Although this has increased the voyeuristic nature of the television show it was necessary because in the original European format of the show it was the views who vote out houseguest that were nominated for eviction. This puts pressure on the guest because the live feeds, the interaction with the guest and the lack of interaction can affect their success on the show. Fan favorites tend to be what is called underdogs, they are the people viewed as most likely not to win in a competition. In Big Brother U.S the Underdog who when outnumbered saved himself was Ian Terry, he also went on to win his season. Producers try to cast people with large personalities as this creates the most drama and they are interesting to watch. In Canada, it appears that they are also trying to encompass diversity. The houseguest varies in education levels, sexual orientation, race and gender. Without question, one of the biggest threats for companies is that they are almost specifically responsible to their traders, thereby restricting their public value. The pope s solution to this situation is not only government control of companies, but the development of new business designs where human and group results are regarded an integral aspect of the main point here. • 10. Role of Retinal Waves on Three Aspects of Visual System... Periodic spontaneous activity is found in many parts of the developing central nervous system including the spinal cord, cortex, hippocampus and retina, and evidence suggests that this activity could underlie aspects of development such as axon guidance, local circuit formation and establishment of sensory maps (Feller, 1999). In the retina, this phenomenon has been studied in detail because its circuitry is stereotypic and its activity can be manipulated easily in development. Before eye opening, retinal circuits undergo a great deal of maturation and refinement. The immature circuits spontaneously generate propagating bursts of action potentials called retinal waves. Retinal waves correlate the firing of retinal ganglion cells (RGCs) and play a role in establishing and refining circuits in the visual system, but there is a great deal of controversy about whether waves play an instructive or a permissive role in neuronal development. The term instructive implies that retinal activity contains information that affects the formation of synaptic connections, while the term permissive implies that activity is necessary at some minimum level in order for the refinement to occur. This review will focus on the role of retinal waves on three aspects of visual system development eye specific segregation in the thalamus, retinotopic refinement in the superior colliculus, and establishment of cortical columns and summarize the existing arguments for the role of retinal waves ... Dualism and the idea of duality are the main theme I would like to focus on in this essay. In reality, the duality of man is often analyzed as merely a possibility. We tryto investigate this facet of human behavior and spend much time trying to determine the ways that a dual personality can affect people. His theory was dependent on the thinking of Swiss psychologist Jean Piaget and American philosopher John Dewey. It consists of three levels of moral reasoning: preconventional, conventional, and postconventional. These levels are based on the degree to which an individual accommodates to the conventional standards of society. Each level aquires two stages that serve as different standards of sophistication in moral reasoning. This stage portrays that the right behavior means acting in one s own finest interest (A summary of Lawrence). An example for this would be someone being rude towards another individual because that same person was being rude earlier to them (Lawrence Kohlberg). Kohlberg s second level from his theory is conventional moral reasoning. This is primarily people following social norms and customs (Kohlberg s Theory). The laws and rule are sustained simply because they are laws and rules that must be followed ( Kohlberg s Moral Development ). The second level is generally found in society hence the name of this level being conventional . Stages three and four are included in the conventional level. Stage three focuses heavily on peer approval (Lawrence Kohlberg). Though it was first used through Hinduism, people from all over the world and from different cultures have all learn its definition and use it in their daily lives. While in Hinduism, karma is a normal part of their lives and path to God, but in Western culture, karma is normally welcomed when there is revenge to be had or a reward to be received. In some cases it could be both. In Hinduism, karma is basically cause and effect. It leaves no room for chances and depends heavily on personal responsibility, so no saying that an event happened by luck, good or bad (Huston 64). This idea can sometimes lead other outside the religion and few in to relate it to fatalism, but to Hindus that understand it, it is not like fatalism at all (Huston 65). • 23. The Moon Compare To The Moons Of Other Planets Project 1: How Does the Moon Compare to the Moons of Other Planets Earth s moon did not always exist. According to a theory known as the Big Whack, a roving planetoid, Theia, and the ancient Earth were on the same plane in the solar system. Theia, which is believed to have been at least the size of Mars, collided with the ancient Earth approximately 4.5 billion years ago. The resulting debris, material from the ancient Earth s mantle, is what is said to have formed our current day moon. All of the debris broke off of the ancient Earth and proceeded to fill the air. All of this debris then eventually congealed and formed a solid moon. When making a comparison between our moon and those of other planets it is interesting to view the number of moons each planet has, their size, and their proportion of mass as compared to the planet. Within the terrestrial planets, Mercury and Venus do not have moons, Earth has one moon, and Mars has two. Earth has only one moon and this moon is only 1.2% of the mass of Earth. Mars has two moons and they are 0.00002% of the mass of the planet. The Jovian planets have a much larger number of moons. Jupiter has sixty seven, Saturn has fifty three, Uranus has twenty seven, and Neptune has thirteen. Jupiter s many moons are 0.013% of the mass of the planet as a whole. It provides a fun educational environment for students who are in need of additional tutoring in certain subjects, or who wish to expand their knowledge beyond the school day. As of right now, it is fairly small, but we would like room for additional growth as the program gains popularity. The basic requirements are two main instructor computers, 10 student laptops, and one wireless printer. Internet access will be needed for each of these computers as well. An additional building will later be provided at an alternate location that will need to be connected to this main network. A Juniper Router will be needed, since the operating system the computers will be running will be JUNOS. We will configure the network to be run on the IPv6 addressing system, to prevent the need of reconfiguration when the mass crossover to IPv6 occurs. The network needs to be configured to add any additional devices that will be needed in the future as the program grows. It depicts the struggles a General Manager faces as she is given the daunting task of running Walton Works # 2. This book shows how motivation, appreciation, and respect can help to transform a self destructive plant into a thriving successful business. While on the surface Peggy Sinclair, the General Manager, thought that she was being rewarded, it did not take longer than one day on the job to realize she was being set up. She had authored a staff study which concluded that Old Man Morris s new strategic plan had a fatal flaw (Blanchard 2). Though he had admitted there ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Andy believed that information is the gatekeeper to power. [He] wanted the team in charge, with the power to make decisions and make things happen (Blanchard 112). The finishing department had charts and reports hanging on the walls. Sharing this information allows for employees to know that what they do impacts others and any safe time saving techniques they can develop or any time passing with no injuries can positively affect the bottom line. Andy and Peggy were transformational leaders. They inspire[d] people to do the unexpected, above and beyond the plan (Kreitner 511). They wanted the employees to think outside the box and also to be proud of the work they did each day. Taking pride in what they did improved the quality and efficiency of the work and in turn helped to bolster morale throughout the plant. A management style used in Gung Ho was delegation. Delegation is assigning various degrees of decision making authority to lower level employees (Kreitner 337). When Walton Works #2 was going through the process of achieving Gung Ho, there were many job responsibilities that the employees absorbed. The employees had morning group motivational huddles. They would meet first thing in the morning and discuss as a team the game plan for the day. The work schedule was not set by the manager but it was discussed in the huddle. The decision to take machinery off line to perform maintenance was not decided by the manager but by the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 37. The Testament Of The Bible The Bible simply says in Isaiah 55:9, For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts. God does work His wonders in ways that are beyond finding out! The congregation at Calvary has heard repeatedly about the classic book called Pilgrims Progress. In this timeless book there is a man named Mr. Worldly Wise. It doesn t take long for a Christian to realize that he shouldn t have listened to this man. Mr. Worldly Wise does not have the mind of God. There would appear to be great wisdom coming from his mouth, but it s not from God. Something that will have to be accepted by faith, no matter how good the intentions, if the direction that a person is going is not governed by God s wisdom, that journey, that path, will end in hopelessness. The Church, His blood bought Church, has the special revelation called the New Testament. One would think, with all the technology, modern science and medicine, that the Church would evolve to a place in society where the message of reaching the world would be different than it was when the Church began. But lest we forget the declaration of Isaiah, His ways are not our ways. The giant gulf that separates God and man is impassable. There is no way to get from here to there apart from the wisdom of God. His wisdom is completely separate from worldly wisdom. As Paul makes clear in 1 Corinthians 1:18 25, For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 39. Daddy s Monster Battle Scene In the final battle scene, many of the characters are dressed and done up as their counterparts in the comic books. In this particular scene, only six of the character are present during this epic encounter. Although not her signature and most famous costume, Harley Quinn in this movie is dressed more like her counterpart in the New 52 comics, which restored and relaunched many of the DC comics characters. She wears a quarter sleeve shirt that dons the saying Daddy s Monster . She wore mesh type leggings with tight shorts and high heeled boots. Her hair is also dyed platinum blonde and placed into pig tails, with left pig tail dipped in blue dye, and the right pig tail dipped in a hot pinkish red color. He also wears a type of eye patch, sometimes attached to a white mask that he uses as a scope to assess long distant targets, along with the scope there is a single barrel shooting device strapped to sometimes one or both arms. Aside from his goofy looking hat in the comics, Captain Boomerang is another well developed character when it came to his costume in this scene, donning a black trench coat with blackish blueish pants, and a beanie to match. He always seems to have a boomerang always in hand and one stashed away under his trench coat. In the case of Killer Croc makeup more, than anything is astonishing than his costume. Killer Croc is another character, who unlike the others, where the costume was the main focus of their overall character, in his case make up hard more of a contribution to his character than what he donned during the film. The realistic make up and scales that accentuate his crocodile looking body and face are a bit scary, but amazing. Although an eight foot half crocodile half man is beyond the bounds of realism, make up really worked to create a sense of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 40. National African American History Year Every year, February is to be known as the Black History Month, or formally known as National African American History Month. It is an annual commemoration of achievements by African Americans and a time for recognizing the central role of African Americans in United States history. Black History Month had its origins in 1915 when Dr. Cater G. Woodson and his colleagues founded the Association for the Study of Negro Life and History ( African American History Month, 2014). This organization is now known as the Association for the Study of African American Life and History. Through this organization, Dr. Cater G. Woodson played the greatest role in helping all Americans know the Black past by initiating Negro History Week in Washington, D.C. in February 1926 (Bunch, 2012). Dr. Woodson selected the week in February that included the birthdays of Abraham Lincoln and Frederick Douglass due to the fact they were key figures in the history of African Americans ( African American History Month, 2014). According to Bunch (2012), Woodson believed that the black experience was too important simply to be left to a small group of academics. Dr. Cater G. Woodson, a son of a slave, was born in New Canton, Virginia on December 19, 1875 (Bellis, n.d.). Although he did not enter high school until the age of 20, he continued to study at Berea College, the University of Chicago, the Sorbonne, and Harvard University, where he earned a PhD in 1912 (Bellis, n.d.). • 41. Seventh-Day Adventists Introduction Seventh day Adventists The Seventh day Adventist Church is a Millennialist Protestant Christian denomination that was founded in the 1860s in the USA. The name Seventh day Adventist is based on the Church s observance of the biblical Sabbath on Saturday, the seventh day of the week. Advent means coming and refers to their belief that Jesus Christ will soon return to this earth. Seventh day Adventists differ in only four areas of beliefs from the mainstream Trinitarian Christian denominations. These are the Sabbath day, the doctrine of the heavenly sanctuary, the status of the writings of Ellen White, and their doctrine of the second coming and millennium. Adventists live modest lives, with a strict code of ethics. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The remnant The remnant is a church that has the duty of keeping faith in Jesus and obedience to God s commandments alive in this time when many people have abandoned true faith. This remnant announces the arrival of the judgment hour, proclaims salvation through Christ, and heralds the approach of the second coming. The great controversy The great controversy is the battle between Satan and Christ. Humanity is involved in this battle and should choose Christ. The Heavenly Sanctuary The correct understanding of the ministration in the heavenly sanctuary is the foundation of our faith. Ellen G. White, Evangelism The Old Testament teaches that the Aaronic priests ministered within a sanctuary. That sanctuary (a tabernacle or a temple) was a man made version of the sanctuary that God created in Heaven, which is the Temple of God in Heaven; the place where God lives. Adventists believe that Christ, as the high priest of the new covenant, ministers in the heavenly sanctuary. He said to me, It will take 2,300 evenings and mornings; then the sanctuary will be reconsecrated. Daniel 8:14 We do have such a high priest, who sat down at the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in heaven, and who serves in the sanctuary, the true tabernacle set up by the Lord, not by man. Hebrews 8: 1 2 The heavenly sanctuary has two areas the holy place and the most holy place. When Christ went from Earth to Heaven he went into ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
