Cervical cancer kills 270,000 women each year — mainly women in the developing world and in the prime of their productive lives. But cervical cancer is preventable by screening asymptomatic women for precancerous cervical lesions and treating the lesions before they progress to invasive disease. In women, fertility starts declining after the age of 35, decreases rapidly after the age of 40, and stops with menopause at the age of 45-50. In Males, fertility decreases at a slow rate after the age of 45 and stops at the age of 70 or more. Thus, the age window for becoming pregnant without any trouble is considered 23 to 35. It involves injecting a single sperm directly into an egg to facilitate fertilization. ICSI is beneficial when the male partner has low sperm count, poor sperm motility, or abnormal sperm morphology. By bypassing natural barriers to fertilization, ICSI increases the chances of successful fertilization and subsequent pregnancy for couples struggling with male infertility.

The prostate is an exocrine gland of the male mammalian reproductive system
It is a walnut-sized gland that forms part of the male reproductive system and is located in front of the rectum and just below the urinary bladder
Function is to store and secrete a clear, slightly alkaline fluid that constitutes 10-30% of the volume of the seminal fluid that along with the spermatozoa, constitutes semen
A healthy human prostate measures (4cm-vertical, by 3cm-horizontal, 2cm ant-post ).
It surrounds the urethra just below the urinary bladder. It has anterior, median, posterior and two lateral lobes
It’s work is regulated by androgens which are responsible for male sex characteristics
Generalised disease of the prostate due to hormonal derangement which leads to non malignant enlargement of the gland (increase in the number of epithelial cells and stromal tissue)to cause compression of the urethra leading to symptoms (LUTS

2. INTRODUCTION
If you are reading this article, then probably you are looking for the answer to
why you are unable to conceive a second time, if everything goes fine in the
first pregnancy. You are not alone.
The reason behind secondary infertility is associated with the natural process
required to conceive. Your fertility condition may change after the first
pregnancy. Well! There are multiple reasons which can lead to secondary
infertility.
3. POSSIBLE CAUSES BEHIND SECONDARY INFERTILITY
Age is the main culprit for infertility, as after crossing 35 you’re ovarian reserves
drop, and this results in declination of egg quality and count.
Also, 12% of secondary infertility results because of weight issues.
Eating unhealthy food also acts as a hindrance for both primary and secondary
pregnancy.
But only women are not responsible for infertility(Female Infertility); males are
also equally responsible for infertility(Male Infertility). Those with a BMI more
than 30 come under obese and contain low sperm count, which results in
infertility.
4. POSSIBLE CAUSES BEHIND SECONDARY INFERTILITY
• Fallopian tube ruptures because of abnormal pregnancy.
• Complications in previous pregnancy like C-section.
• Blockage because of fibroids.
• Age factor which leads to fewer quality eggs.
POSSIBLE CAUSES OF SECONDARY INFERTILITY (MEN)
• Increase in weight and age.
• Too much alcohol consumption and smoking.
• Consumption of certain medications.
• Issues in sperm production and its transmission.
5. WHEN SHOULD YOU SEEK MEDICAL ADVICE?
Conceive after one year of unprotected sex, or if you are above 35 and unable to
become pregnant in six months, then consult your doctor. In case of any known
problem like painful periods, low quality sperm count, irregular periods,
miscarriage, etc., don’t wait for six months or one year, consult your doctor right
away.
AVAILABLE SECONDARY INFERTILITY TREATMENT
• Blood test for checking the hormone level
• Ovulation test
• Pelvic examination
• X-ray for the examination of the fallopian tube
• Ultrasound
