The Zhangjiajie GrandCanyonGlassBridge spans a 300-metre-deepcanyoninChina'sZhangjiajie
National ForestPark. Glasspanelsare setintoitssteel-framedwalkwaythatlinkstwocliffs,giving
visitorsvertigo-inducingviewsandphotoopportunitiesof the canyon.
Wavy handrailsline the edgesof the glazedwalkway,whichnarrowstowardsthe centre of the canyon
to create an exaggeratedperspective.

nuclearaccident.The 110m highsteel structure whichis165m longandhas an arch spanof 260m – has
beendesignedtoprotectthe environmentfromradiationreleasesandprovide the infrastructure to
supportthe deconstructionof the shelterandnuclearwaste managementoperations.

CPEC isa collectionof projectscurrentlyunderconstructionata cost of $51 billion.Thisprojectsaimsto
expandandupgrade Pakistani infrastructure andbuildastrongborderrelations withChina.
Chinahas a visionof one route one beltinwhichitwant linkitself withthe worldtotrade andbenefitits
owncountry.Chinahas plannedalandroute to its westpart throughPakistan.The 3000kms long
highwaywill startfromthe Gawadar PortlocatedinBaluchistanwill connectsitotherendtoChina’scity
of Kashgaraftercrossingthe Kashmir.
Thiswill benefitchinainsavingenergylossbyskippingtravellingof 12000kms from Middle Eastto

itspopulationfromEasternpartwill move here where only8% of china’spopulationlives.
The CPEC will benefitPakistanalsostabilize itseconomyandupgradationof its railwaytracksand
highways.
