What is DiSC® profiling?
DiSC® is a personal assessment tool used to improve productivity, teamwork,
and communication.
DiSC profiles help you and your team:
Increase understanding: how you respond to conflict, what motivates you,
what causes you stress, and how you solve problems
Learn how to adapt your own style to get along better with others
Foster constructive and creative group interactions
Facilitate better teamwork and minimize team conflict
Develop stronger sales skills by identifying and responding to customer styles
Manage more effectively by understanding the dispositions and priorities of
employees and team members

The DiSC model divides behaviour into four ‘styles’ as follows

D: Dominance. These people are Direct and Decisive. D’s are strong willed
people who like challenges, acting action and getting immediate results

I: Influence. These people are Optimistic and Outgoing. I’s are ‘people people’
who like participating in teams, sharing ideas, and entertaining others

S: Steadiness. These people are Sympathetic and Cooperative. S’s are
helpful people who like working behind the scenes in consistent and
predictable ways.

C: Conscientiousness. These people are Concerned and Correct. C’s are
sticklers for quality and planning ahead, employing systematic approaches
and checking for accuracy.

Each basic style which describes how people approach their work and
relationships. Although people exhibit a blend of each, they usually tend to
towards a preferred style and it is important to understand that ALL styles are
equally valuable.

By understanding our own and other people’s preferences we
can understand ourselves, how others see us and build better
relationships with co-workers and customers. If you participate
in a DiSC program, you'll be asked to complete a series of
questions that produce a detailed report. The report together
with coaching provides insights for future development.
Different reports can be produced depending on requirements
e.g. workplace, leadership, team, sales etc.
