Attending college can be one of the biggest decisions in a person s life. Admittedly,
one of the biggest factors in attending college is typically finances. All student must
consider where the money for tuition will come from and any debt that may be
incurred in relation to his or her schooling. Some students families pay their tuition,
while others need to pay for school themselves. Sure, there are grants and
scholarships that a person can receive but they usually do not cover all the cost of
attending college. Because of this, some self paying students will need to finance at
least part of their education. Students who need to finance their own education will

student needs to also consider the challenges in balancing the demands of work,
family life and the course work in classes.
When a student must work while attending school, finding a balance between work
and school can be one of the greatest challenges. While a person s employer may
applaud them for attending school and working, the employer will still expect the

Though feminism and the feminist theory are often construed as the same
philosophy, the two are related, yet different concepts. Feminism is defined as, the
theory of the political, economic, and social equality of the sexes (Merriam Webster
Dictionary). In turn, a feminist is an individual who believes that men and women
should be equal politically, economically, culturally, and socially (Definitions of
Branches of Feminist). However, the feminist theory is not simply the belief that the
sexes should be equal or that women have been historically subjected to lower status
and treatment than men. Rather, the feminist theory is the culmination of many
beliefs about men, women, and gender roles; mainly, the feminist theory addresses
how gender roles are unequal and how gender influences aspects of everyday life (
Feminist Literary Theory ) (Moffitt). In this way, the feminist theory can be used to
analyze a variety of texts, including the poems, the Siren Song by Margaret Atwood
and It s a Woman s World by Eavan Boland. Both poems display connections to the
feminist theory, particularly in how gender roles and inequality between the sexes
influence the poets purposes to address male and female stereotypes and encourage
change. Although Atwood did not initially intend to debate political and ethical
questions in her works, many of her books and poems do exactly that.

Shirley Chisholm. She was the first African Americanwomen elected to Congress

Escape
Suffering is a universal phenomenon that nobody can escape. Every second, people
are murdered, tortured, beaten, maimed, separated from their loved ones (Ricard 35).
And even though it is an intrinsic part of our daily lives , it is often ignored in the
conversation of happiness because happiness and sufferingare perceived to be polar
opposite states of being. (Ricard 35). Scholars would argue that one is simply the
absence of the other. Stoic philosophers emphasize the importance of enduring
suffering, suggesting that suffering does not impact happiness outside of being an
obstacle. However, other scholars would argue that suffering is involved in the
integral process of achieving happiness implying that suffering does play a role in
happiness and that it is not so disconnected in relation to happiness as it is often
believed to be. So then, this brings up the question: What role does suffering play in
happiness? The answer to that is that suffering can serve as an instrument to either

alpha FePO4, the thermal expansion is seen to be largely non linear whilst having a
significant amount of angular variations similar to the other alpha quartz types.
However, thermal expansion does not take place in beta FePO4 as the process does
not take place at the extreme K levels (980K and beyond). The abrupt absence of the
process is said to be caused by dynamic instability, which in turn is related to the idea

Associated Press he said, Too many clothes kills clothes... Fashion has changed. (1)
This change that Gaultier is referring to is known as Fast Fashion . It is a
phenomenon within the fashion industry that has made its way into Australian
consumers wardrobes over the past five years (11). It involves unsustainable
production processes that are expedited in order to get new trends to the market as
quickly and cheaply as possible (4) whilst encouraging disposability.
Fashion should never be thought of as a disposable product yet mainstream
consumers are still trying to grasp the notion of paying more for a clean conscience
and to understand that luxury is still the best that money can buy.
The fashion industry is the most labour dependent industry in the world with 1 in 6
people on Earth somehow being involved in the global fashion industry. 85% of
these people are women earning less than $3 a day. Today we purchase over 80
billion pieces of clothing each year. And while the price of clothing has been
decreasing for decades, the human and environmental costs have grown dramatically.
