1. What have you learnt about
technologies from the process of
constructing this product?

2. Throughout the process of making our production we have used many
different types of technology in order to produce a good quality piece. We
used technology such as the internet, to look at films in the same genre that
we were working in. This broadened my knowledge of other media and how
the internet helps me access it. We also used two types technology in
convergence with each other, for example, we used the internet in order to
find tutorials on how to use technological items such as the camera we used,
a Cannon 600D, works. This tutorial helped us find our way around the
camera and showed us the fundamental uses of the camera also. I feel that
after watching this tutorial I was more comfortable with working with the
camera as it had taught me how to use it. Another tutorial we used that
helped us use the technology we needed was one that explained how to film
in a dark environment and we learned the different lighting techniques used
to make a dark shoot effective. Another tutorial we found on the internet that
my group found particularly helpful was one that demonstrated different
focusing techniques such a focus pull. After using these tutorials I felt that as
a group we were more aware and informed of the technologies we were
using to make our production.

3. During planning I also used technology to
communicate with other members of my group
using Facebook or email. These means of
communication helped our planning process move
quickly as we were able to discuss things even
when we were not in lesson or together. We also
kept in contact with our focus group using Facebook
too. From using these technologies my group and I
have learned that these ways of communicating are
very versatile and helped us find a wider focus
group.

4. To present our planning, research,
production and evaluation we used the
website – Blogger. This proved an vital tool
in helping us keeping our work organised,
clear and simple and most importantly it
was a brilliant way to see the progress our
work has made. Because we wanted to
make a record of every decision we make
regarding the production, Blogger was
perfect for helping us review and change
our mind if necessary.
