This document summarizes the key points of integrating school mental health (SMH) programs and positive behavior intervention and support (PBIS) systems. It discusses how combining these approaches through an Interconnected Systems Framework (ISF) can create synergies and improve implementation. The ISF emphasizes strong leadership, data-driven decision making, and evidence-based practices across multiple tiers of intervention at the state, district, and school levels. Sixteen states have begun collaborating through a national Community of Practice to support integrated SMH-PBIS implementation through mutual support and sharing of resources.
The document discusses the importance of integrating mental health services into schools. It defines mental health and explains that mental disorders are brain disorders that can impact students' ability to learn and succeed in school. Integrating mental health programs, curriculums, and teacher training can help with early identification of issues and reduce stigma. This integration requires developing policies, plans, infrastructure, and supports tailored to each region. The goal is to promote mental wellness and enable learning for all students.
Mental health is important for teachers to effectively mold the next generation. The document outlines several programs to improve teacher mental health, including: 1) improving teacher-teacher and teacher-headmaster relations to foster cooperation and avoid blame; 2) arranging in-service courses and seminars for teachers to refresh their knowledge and skills; 3) ensuring job security through regular salary payments; and 4) improving teacher-community relations through common platforms to reduce isolation.

Summary
This document contains a basic family tree with names connected by dashes and lines of descent. It also includes a practice exercise that asks the reader to identify the relationships between individuals in the family tree by completing sentences with terms like "wife", "sister", "father", etc. The purpose is to teach the reader how to interpret a simple visual family tree and extract essential genealogical relationship information from it.
Professor Siobhan O'Neill and Professor Deirdre Heenan discuss the need for improved mental health promotion and screening in schools. They note that 1 in 5 young people self-harm to get relief from psychological pain. Early childhood experiences and stress levels can impact mental health and resilience. While early detection and intervention can change outcomes, current systems are fragmented and underfunded. They call for clear care pathways, school-based support services, anti-stigma campaigns, and increased investment to address this growing problem.

golden age of life is childhood once missed never come back be serious!!!!!!one who have losted but be carefull for your offsprings i hope all u will try best of your regard for the betterment of child mental health of your society
Mental and Emotional health difficulties are a leading cause of disability worldwide. Interestingly, studies have consistently shown that interpersonal relationships and social support can play a vital role in emotional health and wellbeing. Technologies that effectively support emotional wellbeing are likely to offer significant benefits, both for individuals and for society as a whole. This talk will discuss the potential of social media such as social networking sites, online games and mobile phone applications to provide social support for the emotional wellbeing of users, as well as the design constraints inherent in doing so. The EPSRC-funded project called "Exploring social Networks to Augment Cognitive behaviour Therapy (ENACT)," which is being lead by the Lincoln Social Computing research centre, will be discussed as an example of work in this field.
8 reasons why a child's emotional wellbeing mattersMarina Goetze
When a child is not in a good emotional space, it will have a negative impact on their learning. Children who are stressed, anxious or emotionally distressed are unable to effectively concentrate on the tasks at hand. It is vitally important that educators monitor and help their students that are showing signs of emotional distress.
The document discusses achieving emotional wellbeing for looked after children. It finds that looked after children are approximately four times more likely to have mental health issues than other children. It identifies five priorities for improving support: embedding wellbeing throughout the system, taking a proactive approach, giving children voice, supporting relationships, and aiding care leavers' needs. Analysis suggests that lack of support for wellbeing could be more costly than preventing placement breakdowns through specialist help. The report calls for a whole system focus on children's wellbeing across social care and health.
ECJ_p54-62_6 Mental Health-Identifying good mental healthLouise Kinnaird
1) Schools are ideally positioned to identify and address student mental health issues early before they develop into lifelong problems. However, effective mental health practices in schools require identifying issues and providing support.
2) Poor mental health in students is linked to lower academic achievement and can be caused by issues like neglect, abuse, bullying, and family problems. If not addressed early, mental health issues often continue into adulthood.
3) For effective mental health support, schools need to promote student wellbeing, identify at-risk students, and provide tools for students to manage issues themselves rather than waiting for severe problems to develop.
Presentation by Hunter Institute of Mental Health Projects Coordinator Ellen Newman for Thrive 2016, weaving wellness and wellbeing conference. This presentation is about mental health literacy and strategies for supporting children’s mental health and wellbeing.
- Three children in every classroom have a diagnosable mental health difficulty, yet most do not receive help until much later in life. Early intervention can improve outcomes.
- Perinatal mental illness is a major risk factor for children's mental health, but only half of mothers are identified and receive treatment despite regular contact with primary care. Integration of perinatal services is important.
- Conduct problems are very common in children but often go unidentified and untreated. Parenting interventions can be effective but often do not reach enough families. Increased screening and support is needed.
- Schools play a key role in children's mental health but often lack guidance on local support services and resources to promote wellbeing. Increased partnerships between

Basic PSS in education - A training manual for teachers and other stakeholder...Janoakre
This document is a training manual for teachers and other stakeholders in Sierra Leone on providing basic psychosocial support (PSS) in education. It was developed with support from UKAID and involved various government and non-governmental organizations. The manual outlines a 3-day training program to help education professionals support student well-being through skills like psychological first aid. These skills are important as students return to school after over a year of closure due to the Ebola crisis, during which their psychosocial needs were compromised. The training covers topics like identifying those needing support, communication techniques, making referrals, and practicing skills through role-playing to help students cope with stress and build resilience.

Clinical psychologists consulting in india: Thriving In AdversityGreenWood Mentors Ltd
The document discusses the use of a Life Skills Assessment Scale (LSAS) to measure outcomes of programs run by Dream A Dream (DaD), a non-profit organization in India. It describes the development of the LSAS, which involved defining life skills domains to measure, creating observational items, collecting data from over 1,200 children, and establishing the scale's reliability and validity. The LSAS provides a standardized way to quantify life skills development, evaluate program performance, compare different programs, and inform funding and program development decisions. Its publication in a peer-reviewed journal established it as a valid tool for measuring life skills in children experiencing adversity globally.
The stigma surrounding mental health means students may be unwilling to disclose difficulties they are experiencing and access help. International students are particularly vulnerable as they are away from their usual support networks. Their limited English can also restrict their communication of any issues.
Australian ELICOS (English language teaching for international students sector) providers are aware that mental health issues can seriously impact a student as they progress through their studies. In a survey by English Australia, over 50 per cent of ELICOS colleges believed the number of students with mental health issues has increased in the past two years which is placing an increased strain on the already limited resources of many ELICOS providers.
English Australia released 'The Guide to Best Practice in International Student Mental Health'. This guide provides tools and information that will help create an environment where students feel supported should they ever have any mental health concerns.
In this presentation, Sophie O'Keefe explores the guide and discusses the mental health issues that international and ELICOS students experience, and shares best practice for addressing these concerns.

School Based Mindfulness Interventions Within a Response to Intervention Fram...Innovations2Solutions
Public education is continually evolving to best meet the academic and social-emotional needs of an increasingly diverse student population. A major driving force for this change is the No Child Left Behind Act (2001), which holds schools and teachers accountable for student performance on standardized tests in reading, math, and science. In order to academically prepare students for these high-stakes tests, 43 states have adopted
the Common Core Standards. These standards hold students to a high level of performance in language arts and math that is designed to prepare them for career and college readiness. While the Common Core Standards provide a universal framework for academic standards across the United States, there is
no comparable measure for social-emotional learning standards despite the fact that approximately one in five children and adolescents either currently experience or will experience mental health issues that warrant intervention. These types of issues include both internalizing conditions such as anxiety and depression and externalizing conditions such as Attention
Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Conduct Disorder, and Oppositional Defiant Disorder. These disorders present a wide variety of challenges and adverse side effects for individuals who suffer from them. Some
of these negative side effects include lower academic achievement higher school dropout rates and negative peer relationships.
The document provides information for schools and colleges about Mental Health Support Teams (MHSTs) that will work with them to promote good mental health among students. It outlines several key components of the MHST program, including: the roles of Education Mental Health Practitioners and supervisors within each MHST; the three core functions of MHSTs which include delivering interventions, supporting whole-school approaches, and advising staff; and the roles of senior mental health leads in schools. It also discusses readiness actions schools should take to prepare to work with an incoming MHST, such as designating an MHST coordinator and discussing hosting opportunities for MHST trainees.
The document discusses the evolution of health education from a crisis-oriented approach focused on epidemics to a preventive model emphasizing students' health attitudes and behaviors. It also defines key terms like health, health education, and outlines the roles and responsibilities of teachers in developing and implementing comprehensive school health programs and instruction, including addressing controversial topics.

Life Span Parenting Project
Children ought to be evaluated when it comes to their entire environment with the inclusion of whatever negative or positive parental influences that could exist, this is according to Group counseling and psychotherapy with children and adolescents. I have learned that one of the most refreshing impacts concerning parents is because mainly we work with their kids who are reaching the adolescent stage in regions of their personal/social, academic success, career development, and realm. Their work comprises of working in intervention and prevention (Denno et al., 2015). Counselors help students like who undergo rough times, for instance, in adolescent and help them in enlightening their skills of resilience to be equipped better in case of hitting tough times in the future.
The adolescent stage is characterized by uneven and dramatic integration of changes that are developmental into the day to day lives of young persons. Simultaneously, teenagers experience growing independence from their families, mood swings, and at times, rapidly increasing sexuality. The tasks of talking to them usually start within the units of the family. Often, as guardians, we tend to view our teens as fragile thus visit our pediatricians or doctors since we see them as people whom to seek advice from regarding both behavioral and physiologic issues (Shechtman, 2017). The ongoing relationship with the pediatrician and the family gives for enough prospects to offer support and guidance that is anticipated as our kids get into and move through the stage of adolescence.
Determinants of Parenting
As we all know, the parent-child relationship has a massive influence on most aspects of the development of a child. When behaviors, parenting skills, and optimal capabilities have a positive effect on the school achievement or self-esteem of a child, there is positive behavior and development on the kids.
Fig: Family-Based Therapy
Some other treatment programs that can be used to work in families include family therapy, family-centered therapy, or family-based therapy. These programs change from one to the other. These are effective when it comes to family counseling and help in coming to terms with the stage or any disorder that could arise in the process.
As far as I am concerned, therapy is vital when looking at parenting approaches. This is because when an individual is a child, through adolescent to when they mature to being adults, they require guideline on being better per.
Guidance and Counselling Early Childhood Development EducationDr Wango Geoffrey
Among the essential skills essential for teachers in Early Childhood Development Education (ECDE) is guidance and counselling, coaching, and mentoring. This is because teachers and counsellors dealing with children must both understand the child and at the same time assist them along in their growth and development. Children too come from diverse backgrounds. Additionally, children even in early years may experience psychological disturbance as a result of several factors. Guidance and counselling of children is not the same as of adults. This is majorly because the child-counsellor relationship is an interaction with the child; it is even more demanding when assisting a child in utmost need. Therefore, guiding and counselling children is highly dependent on the personality, personal qualities and professional training of the teacher and counsellor. Overall, the aim of guidance and counselling is to enable the child understand self and others, and cope with life experiences and challenges. This presentation is based on a book on ECDE Guidance and Counselling that aims to assists teacher and counsellors, especially those working with children in early childhood, gain expertise on working effectively with children at this critical stage.
The document discusses teacher and pupil well-being in schools. It notes that up to 30% of new teachers in England leave within 5 years, with teacher stress being a significant factor. Various programs have aimed to build pupil emotional well-being and coping strategies as many teachers see increasing pupil stress in primary schools. The presentation then discusses a research project on mindfulness in teachers and learners, and the importance of investing in staff well-being to develop well-being in children and young people.
The document outlines the DISCOVER Workshop Programme, an open-access CBT group intervention for teenagers with anxiety and stress. It discusses the high rates of mental health issues in teenagers and barriers to them accessing support. The DISCOVER programme was developed to address this issue by bringing CBT-based support into schools. It involves a 4-month programme including an initial assessment, workshop sessions teaching coping strategies, goal setting with follow-ups, and evaluation. Research found DISCOVER significantly reduced anxiety and depression and improved wellbeing compared to a waitlist control. Students and staff provided positive feedback, and next steps involve expanding the programme.

LAND USE LAND COVER AND NDVI OF MIRZAPUR DISTRICT, UPRAHUL
This Dissertation explores the particular circumstances of Mirzapur, a region located in the
core of India. Mirzapur, with its varied terrains and abundant biodiversity, offers an optimal
environment for investigating the changes in vegetation cover dynamics. Our study utilizes
advanced technologies such as GIS (Geographic Information Systems) and Remote sensing to
analyze the transformations that have taken place over the course of a decade.
The complex relationship between human activities and the environment has been the focus
of extensive research and worry. As the global community grapples with swift urbanization,
population expansion, and economic progress, the effects on natural ecosystems are becoming
more evident. A crucial element of this impact is the alteration of vegetation cover, which plays a
significant role in maintaining the ecological equilibrium of our planet.Land serves as the foundation for all human activities and provides the necessary materials for
these activities. As the most crucial natural resource, its utilization by humans results in different
'Land uses,' which are determined by both human activities and the physical characteristics of the
land.
The utilization of land is impacted by human needs and environmental factors. In countries
like India, rapid population growth and the emphasis on extensive resource exploitation can lead
to significant land degradation, adversely affecting the region's land cover.
Therefore, human intervention has significantly influenced land use patterns over many
centuries, evolving its structure over time and space. In the present era, these changes have
accelerated due to factors such as agriculture and urbanization. Information regarding land use and
cover is essential for various planning and management tasks related to the Earth's surface,
providing crucial environmental data for scientific, resource management, policy purposes, and
diverse human activities.
Accurate understanding of land use and cover is imperative for the development planning
of any area. Consequently, a wide range of professionals, including earth system scientists, land
and water managers, and urban planners, are interested in obtaining data on land use and cover
changes, conversion trends, and other related patterns. The spatial dimensions of land use and
cover support policymakers and scientists in making well-informed decisions, as alterations in
these patterns indicate shifts in economic and social conditions. Monitoring such changes with the
help of Advanced technologies like Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Systems is
crucial for coordinated efforts across different administrative levels. Advanced technologies like

Changes in vegetation cover refer to variations in the distribution, composition, and overall
structure of plant communities across different temporal and spatial scales. These changes can
occur natural.

A culture change?
In June 2015,the National Institute for Health and Care
Excellence (NICE) published new guidelines entitled
Workplace Policy and Management Practices to Improve
the Health and Wellbeing of Employees.Among the
recommendations NICE makes is to have a support
base in place for all teaching staff and to make
health and wellbeing a core priority for senior
management.
A paradigm change
Wellbeing for both students AND teachers can no longer
be seen as a‘fluffy’concept.Wellbeing in schools is a
fundamental prerequisite for healthy,constructive and
productive quality teaching and learning. Both students
and teachers need to be supported, fit and well to be
inspired and inspiring. This does not happen without the
right support mechanisms and mindsets for all involved
in the teaching and learning process.

The need for a programme
of support
In the current climate it is therefore more important than
ever that we address these issues in a proactive manner
and set up systems of support that ensure individual
wellbeing within a supportive and nurturing context –
The Wellbeing Tool Kit for Professionals! We only have to
reference the above statistics, the number of teachers
leaving the profession, and the number of professionals
retiring from teaching and subsequently suffering
physical and mental ill health to realise how vital the
programme is.
The 20 sessions in the Wellbeing Tool Kit for
Professionals therefore aims to provide the
necessary resources to enable staff to maintain and
further enhance their own wellbeing so that,in
essence, they can describe themselves as fit, well
and flourishing – both personally and
professionally.
Each of the key topics provides a package of training and
resources that includes information leaflets,strategies,
skills-based activities,and a powerpoint presentation.
Many families today are exposed to high
levels of daily stress and the incidence of
childhood depression is rising with an
estimated 10% of children in any school
experiencing serious depression. These
young people do not enjoy carefree
childhoods but instead have to cope with
the devastating effects of divorce,exposure
to drugs and bullying,among other
significant stressors. Young people are most
vulnerable to negative emotions and at risk
of developing depression at the age of 11,
when they move from primary to
secondary education (Reivich and Shatte,
2002).
Such factors clearly also increase the level of
stress experienced by teachers and support
staff who are tasked with ensuring young
people’s wellbeing and in removing any
barriers to learning and achievement. This is
coupled with a relentless inspection regime
and a culture of target-setting that many
professionals feel is damaging teachers'
mental health with many reporting
symptoms of stress and exhaustion,
according to the Association of Teachers
and Lecturers (ATL) survey (2014).The ATL
also reports more and more teachers
complaining of‘unacceptable workloads’
and insufficient support from schools over
‘challenging parents’.More specifically,over
a third - 38% - of school and college staff
reported having seen a rise in mental health
issues among colleagues in the past two
years and 55% said their job had a negative
impact on their own mental health.
