This document outlines Ms. Tilba Lott's classroom policies and procedures for her 4th grade reading class during the 2016-2017 school year. It details expectations for student behavior, participation, assignments including writing mini biographies and conducting research. Students will read for 15 minutes daily and complete reading logs. The teacher pledges to explain content thoroughly, encourage students' best efforts, be prepared, and answer questions to help students succeed. 4. Entering the classroom
Enter the classroom quickly and quietly
Bell work/Homework
Write down bellwork and homework down in your notebook
as soon as you enter the room.
Tardy/Arriving Late
Late student should have a late pass from the office to give
to me, get to bell work immediately.
Supplies
Raise your hand and ask quietly and politely for the
supplies you need

5. Returning After An Absence
 You will have to make up the assignments you missed in
class, I will have the makeup material at the beginning of
class.
Assigned area/Leaving Assigned Area
All students have assigned seats, do not ask to be moved
to another seat, raise you hand before you get out of
your assigned seat.
Asking a Question
Raise your hand and wait for me to call on you, do not
blurt out an answer.

6. Each student will write a mini biography on
the person of their choice.
Each student will learn the basics of
conducting a research paper.
Each day the students will read for at least
15 minutes on the book of my choice and
complete a reading participation log.
Students will use verbs, nouns and
adjectives in their writing.
