This webquest aims to help students learn about human values. It identifies five main human values: love, peace, right conduct, truth, and non-violence. Students are tasked with defining these values based on their own understanding as well as definitions from dictionaries and online sources. They must then create a dialogue between a human and an alien discussing which values are represented in an image. The goal is for students to reflect on these important values and how to be better humans.

2. Introduction
When we talk about human values it is not easy to list a
specific amount of them. They are a lot and they can be
defined very differently. However, there are five main
elements that are always related with human values and
they are the basis of the values. Obviously, they are:
Love, Peace, Right conduct, Truth and Non-violence.
All of them are seen in different virtues that we have and
the lack of them are the root of the bad things that
happen in the world today.
At least, we know that they can be divided into five main
elements. But, are they easy to define? Let's see...

3. Task
We will try to make our own definition of love, non violence, peace, right
conduct and, truth.
We will read different definitions and comments from people of around the
world and after having a general picture of them we will make ours.
Firstly, you will yourself in the shoes of a ET who is trying to understand us.
You will need to give very detailed information in order to help the ET to
understand what human values are.

4. Process
1) Write down your personal definition for each of the
main elements. You can only write three lines for each
definition
2) Try to get an English dictionary and look up the
definition of the main elements.
3) Go to the following links and read the definitions you find there.

4) Write again the definitions including the information you have read but
paraphrasing it. Try to be clear enough in order to help the ET understand
them.

and a ET that are seeing this image. Which
human values are represented? Which ones are
not?

8. Conclusion
As you have seen, when we need to define this
kind of concepts we face a lot of obstacles.
However, when we read about them we see
how important it is to have a clear picture of
how wide they are. We need to reflect in
these aspects of life to be better humans day
by day.
