Web 1.0’s History
• Web 1.0 began in 1989
• The Web 1.0 is defined to be the first version of the world wide web and set
up as static webpages with hyperlinks on them
Characteristics ofWeb 1.0
• There was no interaction, only reading
• Made information available to the world
Web 1.0’s Uses
• Web 1.0 was used by many publishers and authors since it was only readable
content during its time
• It was also used by tv stations such as CNN
Web tools duringWeb 1.0
• Servers – used to create and store information onto the world wide web
• Search Engines – helpful tools used to find certain information when needed
• E-mail – Used to send information from one computer to another
• File Sharing – Used to share files and other information with other parties
ImportantTools
• Servers because they allowed for the storage of information and files on the
internet and allowed for people to use them freely
• E-mail because it allowed for people to communicate freely and to send
information long distances in a more efficient manner

WEB 2.0
What isWeb 2.0?
• Web 2.0 is the state of online
technology compared to the
early days of web.
• Web 2.0 differs fromWeb 1.0
that it infuses interactivity,
pervasive network
connectivity, and enhanced
communication channels
with a platform of endless
information for users.
What are the
characteristics ofWeb
2.0?
• User participation
• Openness
• Network effects
What is the history ofWeb 2.0
• BeforeWeb 2.0, information on theWeb was static text, images, and
hyperlinks.
• As theWeb and technology evolved, Web 2.0 was created to completely
shift how users interacted within an online environment with the available
resources and with other users as well.
What are the common uses ofWeb 2.0
• Increased speed of access to knowledge
• Reduced communication costs
• Increased employer satisfaction
For Internal/Personal Uses:
• Increased effectiveness of marketing
• Increased customer satisfaction
• Reduced travel costs
• Increased speed of access to external experts
For Business Operation Purposes:
What are some tools ofWeb 2.0?
Wikis- Server software
that allowed users to
create and edit content on
webpages on any browser
01
Social Media- Forms of
electronic communication
for users to interact with
each other through online
communities to share
information
02
JavaScript- Popular
programming language
03
Instant Messaging-The
sending of real-time
messages over the internet
to other users that are
connected to the internet
as well.
04
What are the most popular
tools ofWeb 2.0?
In my opinion, the following were the most
popularWeb 2.0 tools:
• Social Media- It did a great job of
completingWeb 2.0’s goal of
interactivity.This boosted interactivity
and engaged users with theWeb.
• Wikis-This did a great job with
interactivity since it gave the users a
sense of control of what was displayed
on the web. It essentially made ever user
of that page the webmaster.

Web 3.0
What isWeb 3.0?
Web 3.0 is slated to be the new paradigm in web interaction and will mark a
fundamental change in how developers create websites, but more
importantly, how people interact with those websites.
Web 3.0 (SematicWeb)
• Web 3.0, otherwise known as the “SemanticWeb”
• is a term coined byTim Berners-Lee, one of the originators of the World
Wide Web.
• At its coreWeb 3.0 is a place, where machines will read web pages much like
humans.
Web 3.0 examples
Wolfram Alpha is a computational knowledge engine or answer
engine developed by wolfram research, which was founded
by Stephen Wolfram.
It is an online service that answers factual queries directly by
computing the answer from externally sourced "curated data“.
http://www.wolfram.com/
Web 3.0 examples
Siri is an intelligent personal assistant.
The assistant uses voice queries and a natural language user interface to
answer questions, make recommendations, and perform actions by
delegating requests to a set of Internet services.
https://www.apple.com/ios/siri/
Web 3.0 examples
Widgets are an essential aspect of home screen customization.
You can imagine them as "at-a-glance" views of an app's most
important data and functionality that is accessible right from the
user's home screen.
https://developer.android.com/design/patterns/widgets.html
WebTools
Intelligent personal assistant:
I think it is important because web 3.0 is about making web more like human.
However, intelligent personal assistant is most effective way to interact with
Web.
WebTools
Search engine
I think it is important because now search engine collect IP
address, browsing data, or history to give more accurate and
interesting information for users.

Conclusion
• The web will start to complete everything for us before we finish asking
what we want to know
• Artificial intelligence will match human intelligence
• It would impact our privacy as this technology advances
