Address saline intrusion in Camagüey, Cuba
• 23-27 January 2023: study mission to Cuba by UNIDO
ITPO Italy aimed at analyzing and contribuEng to
minimize the impact of saline intrusion in the
province of Camagüey, Cuba. Due to climate change
it represents one of the main challenges for the
naEonal agriculture and food security.
• 3 selected experts took part in several meeEngs with
representaEves of the local counterpart, the NaOonal
InsOtute of Water Resources of Cuba (INRH),
advancing soluOons based on internaOonal best
pracOces and experiences.
