The Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles has excellent acoustics due to its design by architect Frank Gehry. Gehry created curvilinear exterior forms to capture the motion of music and Los Angeles. The interior forms are similarly organic. The large auditorium volume has vertical seating arranged intimately around a central stage to provide clear acoustics for unamplified performances, as confirmed through scale modeling and acoustic studies. Pipes on the hall's organ were specially curved to match the curved wooden interior and enhance the sound.
