This document summarizes the design of the Kala Academy arts institution in Goa, India. It was designed by architect Charles Correa and features several performance and arts spaces, including a 1000-seat auditorium, two outdoor theatres, art galleries, classrooms, and administrative offices spread across one to three floors of buildings covering 40% of the 6.3 acre site. The layout separates public, administration, and academic functions and links indoor and outdoor circulation and gathering spaces to promote interaction between staff, students and audiences.
