Walt Disney loved drawing and photography as a child. He contributed to his high school newspaper in Chicago and took night classes at the Chicago Art Institute. Walt Disney held several art jobs after serving in the Red Cross. He then began experimenting with the camera and animation and decided to open his own animation company. He opened a company called Laugh-O-Gram and then later was forced to file bankruptcy. Then Disney went to Hollywood and created the Steamboat Willie with Disney as the voice of Mickey. Walt Disney Studios was born. Disney was the first to use television as a entertainment medium with Mickey Mouse Club and Walt Disney’s Wonderful World of Color. Walt then began the construction of Walt Disney World but passed away before it was complete. Disney began a legacy that still lives on today with the love for drawing and the passion to entertain others.

He sent his employees to art school to improve their skills. He set new standards across the board in entertainment. He built his empire upon the EXPERIENCE.

Disney became a leader for other entertainers. Disney was also adaptable to stay ahead within the industry. Most importantly, Walt Disney created his legacy based on doing what he loved.
