  2. 2. 1.Character Leader is the capacity and will to rallymen and women to a common purpose and thecharacter which inspires confidence. How a leader deals with thecircumstances of life tells you many things abouthis character. Crisis doesn’t necessarily makecharacter, but certainly does reveal it. Every timehe chooses character, he becomes stronger, evenif that choice brings negative consequences
  3. 3. 2.Charisma How can you have charisma?Be more concerned about makingothers feel good about themselves thanyou are making them feel good aboutyou.
  4. 4. 3.Commitment People do not followuncommitted leaders. Commitment canbe displayed in a full range of matters toinclude the work hours you choose tomaintain, how you work to improveyour abilities, or what do for your fellowworkers at personal sacrifice.
  5. 5. 4.Communication Developing excellent communication skills is absolutely essential to effective leadership. The leader must be able to share knowledge and ideas to transmit a sense of urgency and enthusiasm to others. If a leader can’t get a message across clearly and motivate others to act on it, then having a message doesn’t even matter.
  6. 6. 5.Competence Competence goes beyond words. It’s the leader’s ability to say it, plan it, and do it in such a way that the others know that you know how-and know that they want to follow you.
