CIRCUIT DIAGRAM
WORKING PRINCIPLE
 This counter Sensor consist of 3 Section
 Detect Object (Sensor)
o Data Processing (CPU)
o Display by LCD /7 SEGMENT module.
o Count number of person enter and exit from room.
COMPONENTS
 IC1 - LM324 quad op-amp
 IC2 - 74LS76 J-K flip-flop
 IC3 - AT89C52
 T1, T2 - npn phototransistor
 T3, T4 - npn transistor
 IR TX1, IR TX2 - IR
transmitting LED
 Capacitors:
 XTAL - 12MHz crystal
 X1 - 230V primary to 7.5V
 BR1 - 1A bridge rectifier
 DIS1-DIS3 - LTS543 CC 7-
segment
display
 Resistors (all ¼-watt, ±5%
carbon):
MICROCONTROLLER(AT89C52)
INTERNAL BLOCKS OF MICROCONTROLLER 89C52
CAPACITOR
 Store energy
 Application
Motor starters, Tuned circuits, Sensing, Oscillators, Signal
processing, High-pass and low-pass filters
 connections
IR TRANSMITER AND RECEIVER
 Receiver connect with 5V
 Signal comes then outputs is low.
 LED is use for transmission.
 Operate with 5V.
OTHER COMPONENT
 Message display in LCD
 Flip flop use for two stable state
 Crystal is use for electrical signal
APPLICATIONS
 Auditorium
 Conference halls
 Multiplex
 Offices
 Sports venue
ADVANTAGES
 No need of human intervention.
 Can work 24x7 without any problem.
 Low cost and very easy to implement
CONCLUSION
 We just took up this project as we were interested in electronics
and wanted to learn about it. Through this project, we learnt a
lot about the functioning and use of different electronic
components and their applications in real life. We were able to
correlate what we studied in our course to real life.
 Also this is very simple and effective idea which can be used in
many places like hostel and hotel rooms to save energy.
 Thanks to our faculty for guiding us in this project.
