Verbal Communication
 Communication can be defined as an
  interactive process involving the
  transferring of information of one person
  to another.

 It is very important to understand what
  people are saying or messages can be
  misunderstood.

3 Styles

 Aggressive
     Satisfy their own needs/wants at the
      expense of others
 Passive
     Person who lack self esteem and
      confidence.
 Assertive
     Involves stating a point whilst taking the
      considerations of others into account

Verbal Communication

 Written
      Can portray both intended and unintended messages.

       incorporate correct grammar, spelling and unambiguous
       language.
 Spoken
      Can take place via different media including telephone or
       face to face. Speaker should ensure that the receiver is
       actively involved in the listening process. Involves
       effective listening and questioning techniques.

 Non Linguistics
      Use of Volume/Tone/Rate/Rhythm on different words to
       convey different meanings.
