This document outlines the procedures and guidelines for maintaining the fleet vehicles of a fire department. It discusses why the fleet program exists, including to prolong vehicle life, ensure safety, keep costs low, and maintain pride in the department. Detailed maintenance procedures are provided for weekly vehicle checks, raising the truck cab, aerial ladder maintenance, washing procedures, and the repair request process. Guidelines are given for fluid levels, repairs personnel are authorized to perform, and vehicle conditions requiring being taken out of or altered service.
Car engine is a much complex part if you see, as a lot of components are there inside it. Hence the engine problems are inevitable. And are deadly too. The problems could leave you stranded in the middle of nowhere. Want to know the reasons which take toll of the engine? Go through the slides to know and learn how to troubleshoot the problems effectively.
Engine diagnostic is the technical inspection method for the engine of your Car that becomes mandatory when there are issues in the driving experience or the mileage is below par. There are multiple reasons that could lead to the underperformance of the engine. That is where the Engine Diagnostics services of CarUstad comes useful.
Whether your vehicle is new or old-- all it wants a regular maintenance to run efficiently without any worry. Yes, there are repairing center to help, but they can't help you when you get stranded on the middle of the road in an unknown area. It might be a very little issue but as you don't know anything about your car, you have to wait for several boring hours till help arises. Here are some of the basic car maintenance tips that you should know for your own safety.

In internal combustion engines, exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) is a nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions reduction technique used in petrol/gasoline and diesel engines. EGR works by recirculating a portion of an engine's exhaust gas back to the engine cylinders. This dilutes the O2 in the incoming air stream and provides gases inert to combustion to act as absorbents of combustion heat to reduce peak in-cylinder temperatures. NOx is produced in a narrow band of high cylinder temperatures and pressures.
Modern day automobile engines are made of many electronic and electrical components that constitute engine sensors, relays and actuators. All these electronic and electrical components work together to provide Engine Control Unit (ECU) with vital data required to govern the engine functionality effectively. Sensors send the information in very less time. Sensors used in engine are generally electro-mechanical type devices that monitor various engine parameters.

2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.

Andreas Schleicher presents at the OECD webinar ‘Digital devices in schools: detrimental distraction or secret to success?’ on 27 May 2024. The presentation was based on findings from PISA 2022 results and the webinar helped launch the PISA in Focus ‘Managing screen time: How to protect and equip students against distraction’ https://www.oecd-ilibrary.org/education/managing-screen-time_7c225af4-en and the OECD Education Policy Perspective ‘Students, digital devices and success’ can be found here - https://oe.cd/il/5yV
The French Revolution, which began in 1789, was a period of radical social and political upheaval in France. It marked the decline of absolute monarchies, the rise of secular and democratic republics, and the eventual rise of Napoleon Bonaparte. This revolutionary period is crucial in understanding the transition from feudalism to modernity in Europe.

This presentation provides a briefing on how to upload submissions and documents in Google Classroom. It was prepared as part of an orientation for new Sainik School in-service teacher trainees. As a training officer, my goal is to ensure that you are comfortable and proficient with this essential tool for managing assignments and fostering student engagement.
Operation “Blue Star” is the only event in the history of Independent India where the state went into war with its own people. Even after about 40 years it is not clear if it was culmination of states anger over people of the region, a political game of power or start of dictatorial chapter in the democratic setup.
The people of Punjab felt alienated from main stream due to denial of their just demands during a long democratic struggle since independence. As it happen all over the word, it led to militant struggle with great loss of lives of military, police and civilian personnel. Killing of Indira Gandhi and massacre of innocent Sikhs in Delhi and other India cities was also associated with this movement.
2. Why we have a fleet program
To prolong the life of the vehicles
To ensure safety to all personnel on the fire
truck.
To keep maintenance costs low.
To keep pride in our vehicles and our
department.
To show respect to the citizens they pay for
the equipment.

certain apparatus.
Pumps are tested yearly and after major repairs.
Ladders are tested and recertified every year.
Quarterly Preventive Maintenance is performed on all trucks.

Warning: When adding coolant to the diesels use Fleet Charge coolant. It is
purple and doesn’t match the coolant color in the truck. This is ok. Fleet Charge
has a special additive that fights corrosion on the piston sleeve liners.
