In 2007, VANGUARD endeavored to establish a premium chocolates and
confectionary sweets manufacturing plant in the Kingdom of Bahrain. The
vision for the project came as VANGUARD identified a gap in the current
regional market for private label premium chocolate products.
Simultaneously, VANGUARD initiated links with Mr. Bassem Al-Oubairi, a
chocolatier with a deep family heritage in premium chocolates
manufacturing as well as Janahi Sweets W.L.L. a renowned Bahraini based
premium local sweets and chocolate retailer. Chocolate & Co. Company
W.L.L. was launched in April 2008 and began production operations in July
2008.

Beaucraft W.L.L. was launched in April 2009 by Vanguard W.L.L as the first
national company specializing in providing complete marine leisure services
such as managing and operating marinas: importing, exporting, selling and
leasing boats, yachts and jet skis; providing internal maintenance for ships;
and provision of advisory and development services as well as logistical
support to waterfront real-estate developments. Furthermore, Beaucraft’s
focus is to provide turn-key marina and leisure solutions that adhere to the
most rigorous of international standards; with primary focus on safety,
professionalism and high-quality of services.
Note: It is worth noting that, as of today VANGUARD still manages and runs
the operations of Beaucraft as well as its day-to-day accounting and

In November 2007, VANGUARD recognized an opportunity in the Kingdom
of Bahrain’s emerging motor industry for the establishment of a Component
Based Car Assembly business. As the Middle East sole sports car
manufacturer, Vmotion has established strategic relationships with key
United States based industry leaders such as Ford Racing and Factory Five
Racing to ensure that its vehicles comply with international safety and
quality standards. Vmotion is fully-licensed and operational in a modest
facility located in the Bahrain Industrial Incubators Center, Salman Industrial
City with plans to expand to a permanent larger facility in the near future.
Note: It is worth noting that, as of today VANGUARD still manages and runs
the operations of Vmotion as well as its day-to-day accounting and
bookkeeping activities.

Foodcorp is a company that has been incorporated in the Kingdom of
Bahrain with the aim of acting as an investment holding company developing
and selectively investing in agricultural ventures and providing food
sustainability solutions to local and regional markets. Foodcorp is currently
engaged in Farming Self-Growing White Bottom Mushrooms and has
proposed future offerings of hydroponics, strawberries, iceberg lettuce,
fisheries, red meat and poultry.

25. Mr. Janahi founded VANGUARD as a Private Equity and Venture Capital Advisory Boutique. Mr. Janahi
commands vast experience in investment structuring, private equity, business strategy, and venture
capital. Also, he has extensive knowledge in both general and private aviation sectors. He possesses well-
rounded managerial experiences in various aspects of investment modeling, business strategy, expansion
finance and institutional regeneration which he cultivated through his strategic involvements in various
venture capital projects and other investments spanning a multitude of economic sectors. Mr. Janahi has
also founded an aviation company, Rizon Jet B.S.C. (C), and has been able to add value to various
aviation organizations. Currently, Mr. Janahi has been appointed by Bahrain Mumtalakat Holding
Company to serve as a board member of Gulf Air. In addition, he serves at the board and executive levels
of several ventures in industries such as financial services, automotive, urban development and
manufacturing. Previously, Mr. Janahi has worked at Ernst & Young (Bahrain) in the Assurance Advisory
Group and Islamic Financial Services Group, served as the Managing Director of ReeMoon Consulting
W.L.L., the Chief Operating Officer at AAJ Holdings Company B.S.C. (C) and an Executive Board Member
of Rizon Jet B.S.C (C). Mr. Janahi holds a bachelor degree in Accounting from the University of Bahrain.

26. Mr. Ali is a co-founder of VANGUARD and posses wide-ranging professional experiences in diverse
managerial, marketing & business disciplines with extensive experience in both the United States and the
Middle East. He commands well-formed and widespread managerial experiences in various aspects of
operations, communications and management through serving at successive senior managerial positions
spanning a multitude of economic sectors. He has served at strategic involvements in various venture
capital projects and other investments, across several industries including international trade, urban
development, aviation, and manufacturing. Moreover, Mr. Ali currently serves on a number of Board of
Directors for companies operating in the sectors of manufacturing, automotives, professional services
and engineering, both in the Kingdom of Bahrain and abroad. He has advised senior management and
delivered strategic leadership and managerial programs at family businesses, investment holding
enterprises and new ventures in areas such as project planning and implementation, public relations,
strategic marketing, business strategy, operational management, organizational modeling, international
trade expansion and international joint ventures. Beforehand, Mr. Ali has served as an adjunct professor
at Lynn University, Florida, the United States and was a senior executive, at AAJ Holdings Company B.S.C.
(C) working jointly with top management. Mr. Ali holds a Masters degree of Business from Lynn

27. Mr. Naidu has comprehensive and insightful experiences gained over two decades of professional
experience in the financial audits of various companies in the Banking and Insurance sectors in both
India and the Middle East. He commands well-formed and widespread managerial experiences in
conducting and carrying out audits, formulating financial strategies and plans, and developing financial
feasibility studies that enabled many of his clients to achieve their visions and targeted objectives. Mr.
Naidu provides insights with respect to the entire gamut of Financial Management including financial
resource mobilization, equity issues, optimum utilization of funds, financial budgets formulation and
budgetary controls. His experience also expands to such areas as designing internal control systems,
compliance systems, as well as a broad understanding of Commercial Companies Law and Corporate
Governance frameworks. Prior to joining us he held several senior executive financial and managerial

30. Ms. Almoayyed has always possessed a keen eye for detail and a knack for critical thinking and analysis.
These interests manifested themselves from an early age, with her feeling strong inclinations towards
mathematics and other logical pursuits during her adolescence. This naturally systematic way of thinking
led her to pursue a degree in Finance and Commercial Law at the University of Auckland in New
Zealand, where she was able to sharpen her analytical skills and excel in Risk Management and
Investment Theory, as well as in Bankruptcy, Property and Marketing Law. Upon graduating, her passion
for learning raged on, inspiring her to spend a summer in Frankfurt, Germany where she did an intensive
course at Goethe University in International Finance and German. Before joining the VANGUARD team,
Deema worked as a Risk Management Officer at Bahrain National Holding, where she earned first-hand
experience in formulating risk strategy, risk analysis and risk mitigation. She hopes to provide
VANGUARD with the same level of commitment and passion she has given to everything else thus far,
and to also surpass herself professionally by gaining additional certified qualifications in risk
management, project management and entrepreneurship.

31. Noor Hilal is a reliable and goal oriented individual possessing great passion and dedication for her
work. She recently graduated from The University of Bangor, Wales in the United Kingdom with a
Bachelors of Science in Banking and Finance. Ms. Hilal has been through several workshops and training
programs within the field of entrepreneurship, business management and Islamic Banking. Beforehand,
Ms. Noor served as a trainee at GBCorp (Global Banking Corporation), taking on experience in several
departments; including Operations, Investment, Treasury and Finance Department. All of which, has
helped in building her professional skills and expertise. She is currently pursuing to further develop her
educational background in taking on multiple professional and international certificates within her field.

32. Mr. Panduranga Rao is a Financial Analyst in VANGUARD Bahrain, mainly responsible for financial
operations, strategy, planning and reporting. He is also in charge of designing Financial Models to
forecast financial growth, formulating feasibility studies, and defining optimum capital raising scenarios.
Prior to joining VANGUARD, Mr. Rao worked as Analyst with WNS Knowledge Services where he
conducted due diligence and assessed market potential for investment opportunities. He was also
assigned as an Internal Auditor at Hindustan Unilever Ltd (India) where he was responsible for planning
the audit, executing audit plans, reviewing internal controls over business cycles and performing test of
internal control. Mr. Rao holds a Bachelor degree in Commerce from Berhampur University and has
completed his Chartered Accountant Exam (Intermediate) from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of
India.
