Value Of Education Essay
Crafting an essay on the importance of education can be both challenging and rewarding. On
one hand, the topic is vast, encompassing various aspects of education's impact on individuals
and society. The writer must navigate through the intricacies of educational philosophy, social
implications, and personal experiences to provide a comprehensive perspective.
The difficulty lies in striking a balance between general principles and specific examples. It
requires delving into the historical context, exploring different educational systems, and
analyzing the contemporary challenges faced by educational institutions. The writer must also
consider the diverse perspectives on education, acknowledging that its value may vary across
cultures, socioeconomic backgrounds, and personal beliefs.
Furthermore, constructing a cohesive argument demands the synthesis of research findings,
statistical data, and anecdotal evidence. Balancing these elements while maintaining a clear and
engaging writing style is a meticulous task.
Moreover, the essay must not only articulate the importance of education but also address
potential counterarguments and critiques. This requires a thoughtful examination of the
limitations and shortcomings of educational systems, making the essay a nuanced exploration
rather than a one-sided advocacy piece.
In conclusion, writing an essay on the value of education is a formidable task that requires in-
depth research, critical analysis, and effective communication skills. However, it is a gratifying
endeavor as it allows the writer to contribute to the ongoing dialogue about the transformative
power of education.

Wind Power And Energy Power
Abstract
Wind power is still the most promising renewable energy in the year of 2013. The
wind turbine system (WTS) started with a few tens of kilowatt power in the 1980s.
Now, multi megawatt wind turbines are widely installed even up to 6 8 MW. There
is a widespread use of wind turbines in the distribution networks and more and more
wind power stations, acting as power plants, are connected directly to the
transmission networks. As the grid penetration and power level of the wind
turbines increase steadily, the wind power starts to have significant impacts to the
power grid system. Therefore, more advanced generators, power electronic
systems, and control solutions have to be introduced to improve the characteristics
of the wind power plant and make it more suitable to be integrated into the power
grid. Meanwhile, there are also some emerging technology challenges, which need
to be further clarified and investigated. The global electrical energy consumption is
still rising and there is a steady demand to increase the power capacity. The
production, distribution and the use of the energy should be as technological
efficient as possible and incentives to save energy at the end user should be set up.
The deregulation of energy has lowered the investment in larger power plants, which
means the need for new electrical power sources may be very high in the near future.
Two major technologies will play important roles to solve the future problems.
One is to change the electrical
Discounted Cash Flow Analysis
While I was an intern at Abacus Capital, a local Indonesian beverage company
needed advising in selling the company and I was fortunate to receive a close look
at the inner workings of an acquisition. The experience gave me a better
understanding of the acquisition process and how a Discounted Cash Flow
analysis is done. I enjoy the idea of working for clients from a wide range of
industries and I am confident that my experience at Abacus would supplement my
Transaction Advisory internship experience in KPMG Indonesia. Additionally, I
am someone who is prepared to work long hours. I believe that having to work long
hours is an expected part of a career in one of the Big Four accounting firms. Lastly, I

Wireless Computing And Location Based Services
Many technologies and applications have appeared recently which are directed at
wireless computing and the location based services. M commerce is concerned with
conducting transactions and other business activity with these new technologies and
applications. When mobile commerce continues to give a big impact to the global,
technologies and applications have focused more on wirelesscomputing and location
based services. Hence, wireless computing and location based application become
significant in this digital world. In the previously classes, we had learnt wireless
computing can use in classroom, school, and district. Many wireless schools and
classroom were established so that can make students keep in touch with family and
friends from anywhere. Besides that, wireless technology brings the computer lab to
student. Wireless technology not only can use in education but also can use in M
commerce. In this report, I will provide some information of the relevant M
Commerce activity, device of wireless computing and about the location based
application.
1.0Introduction:
Wireless computing combined with Location based application constituted an ideal
platform for the formation of a various type of mobile business. Nowadays, a
number of mobile consumers use their digital mobile network not only for voice and
data transfer but it also as a mini electronic wallet. This is because we can store
electronic cash, credit card information, ticket and so
Dandruff And Dry Itchy Scalp Issues
How Treat and identify Dandruff and Dry Itchy Scalp Issues
Supposedly, about one in 5 individuals have actually attempted a minimum of one
hair treatment for dandruff at some time in their life. Despite the fact that dandruff is
a safe condition, it can be both humiliating and irritating for individuals who have it.
Dandruff can be dued to a range of things, consisting of an overproduction of a kind
of yeast on the scalp, anxiety, illness as well as the modification of periods.
Often, exactly what s thought to be dandruff is merely hair shampoo residue from
careless rinsing or flaking from that gel you re hooked on. Or it might be dry scalp
dued to dry indoor heat, severe hair shampoos, too frequent shampooing, gels or
conditioners used straight ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
One typical error is to deal with seborrhea with a severe dandruff hair shampoo that
just makes it even worse. So, firstly you have to understand exactly what type of
issue you have. Right here s how you can inform:
Turn your head upside down and brush or intensely rub your scalp, backward and
forward with fingers over a sheet of dark paper. If you see small, dry, grainy hits, you
have dry scalp. , if the flakes are bigger and look greasy wet slightly a littleOilyOily
they re dandruff. Possibilities are you have seborrhea if you have huge oily flakes
and your scalp is red and inflamed. If the scales stay with the scalp, it might be
psoriasis, and if it does not clear up, get in touch with a skin specialist.
Initially utilize a clarifying hair shampoo with cider vinegar to get rid of any
accumulation of hair shampoo or conditioner on the scalp if exactly what you have
is dry scalp. Then attempt an oil treatment or scalp cream created for dry. Scratchy

Marc Jacobs Re(marc)able Full Cover Foundation Concentrate is truly a full
coverage foundation. I tested this foundation during the past five months and here s
the deal with this foundation. Packaging The packaging looks good, however if
you are not a fan of your foundation being a a glass container you might be a little
disappointed. For me I thought it was cute minus the dotter applicator. The
applicator is not sanitary. They really could have done better by adding a pump
instead. img_2940 Scent Most foundations have a scent and this one is no exception.
The scent is not overwhelming it disappears within minutes. However, if you prefer
your foundations scentless you should try your best to get a sample. Coverage

Color Range The color range especially for chocolate beauties is insufficient. There
are about three or two colors that are somewhat chocolate beauties friendly. I wish
there were more colors in this foundation, so just beware that you might not find
your color match within this line. img_2960 The cocoa medium was not my
match, but I made it work by using a darker powder to set the foundation. While
this method worked for me it s a bit extra considering the price of this foundation.
Applicator The dotter applicator could have been replaced with a portion control
pump. The foundation could be easily contaminate using the dotter applicator. With
the price being $55.00 plus tax for most buyers the least they could have done was
add a pump. While I understand the concept behind the dotter a pump would have
been sanitary. Dry Patches Many foundations I tried clings to dry patches when I do
not adequately prepare my skin prior to application and this foundation is no
different. Before I apply foundation I usually exfoliate and moisturize properly, but
there are sometimes I am lazy and I skip this step, some foundations are lenient but

The Orson Welles Show
Orson Welles career took place in the mid thirties to late eighties in the twentieth
century. He began his career at age fifteen, starting in Ireland, making his acting
debut in the Gate Theater in Dublin. By eighteen, Welles started to appear in off
Broadway productions. It was then that he also launched his radio career. By age
twenty, he had presented alternate interpretations of certain well known plays and
movies. At age twenty two he was the most notable Broadway star from Mercury
Theater and, because of this, BBC radio gave him an hour each week to broadcast
whatever he pleased. That s when, at age twenty five, he broadcast War of the
Worlds, which caused panic due to the Martian invasions . By the time he came into...

His Mercury Theater of the Air also set high and new standards for future radio
drama productions.
His directing philosophy was that his way was the best way. Welles work was solely
self reliant and dependent on his representation of guise. This style/philosophy
contributed to the way modern artists presently direct their films and movies. He
began his most notable movie, Citizen Kane, with multiple test shots and killed his
own character by using a very low angle, as if the viewer was right there, dead, with
his character. Welles loved to introduce his films by starting with mysterious, bleak
worlds. His main goal was to show future directors that deeply focused camera shots,
shadows, askew angles, multiple action points, sound techniques borrowed from
radio, and deeply focused shots worked in the favor of the production.
Orson Welles didn t just impact the filming realm, but, by being an actor himself,
showed that he possessed a very strong standpoint on what an ideal actor was.
Orson said that, to him, acting was like a sculpture. It s what you take away from
yourself to reveal the truth of what you re doing that makes a performance. A
performance deserves to be considered great or important. It s always entirely made
up of the actor itself and entirely achieved by what he has left in the dressing room
before he came into the camera s view. There s no such thing as becoming another

The Korean K Pop Group
Everyone has seen a music video at least once in their life, whether young or old, or
on MTV or YouTube. Music videos require a combination of a beautiful song and
visually pleasing graphics that uses pathos and ethos in order to capture the attention
of the audience. The Korean K pop group BTS utilizes pathos and ethosin their music
videofor their song I Need U . Bangtan Sonyeondan, Bulletproof Boys, or simply
BTS, is a seven member K pop group formed under Big Hit Entertainment in 2013.
I Need U is the title track of the first album in the three part album series titled The
Most Beautiful Moment in Life. The song was created by BTS members in order
to convey the message that youth is the most stressful period of one s life,
although by overcoming difficult obstacles it is also the best time of life. BTS
music video for the song I Need U makes use of ethos and pathos in such a way that
provides viewers with a new perspective on youth.
BTS audience consists of teenagers and young adults whom of which enjoy
listening to hip hop and Korean music. Many of the Korean group s songs address
issues the average youth faces, including their debut song, called No More Dream ,
which depicts the members struggling to discover their purpose in life. They speak
out against teachers and adults who tell them that they need to receive an education,
then get a job as a desk jockey without fulfilling their dream or being truly happy. I

Exodus Identity Analysis
Exodus created an identity for the Israelites through the form of Moses, which also
defined the main relationship with their God. Through Moses, the Israelite people
were eventually granted access to leave their bonds in Egypt and begin the journey to
their promised land. However, God s covenant with the Israelitesis extremely
conditional. No other forces may be worshipped other than the true God, and
everyone must follow the Ten Commandments, as well as trusting in Mosesand his
words. Those who did not follow directions were usually treated to a plague, widely
seen throughout Exodus 7 12, when the Pharaoh refused to let the Israelites go during
God s words via Moses. This continued on through the entire passage to the promised
land.
When
My Personal Past Experience
When I think of my own personal past experiences, I think of the most significant
events and most likely think that those are the times that have shaped you as who
you are today and who you are in the future. When my grandpa had passed away
there were major effects that my family and I had faced. Difficulties like not being
able to sleep at night and having lost someone who meant something special to
everyone. When I think about the smaller challenges I have faced in the pastand
throughout my life, I can start to put together that even the most insignificant events
that have happened in the past could make a significant impact on the person I am in
my near or far future. Occurrences like going through broken bones, losing friends, or
even a gym teacher might have a greater force than I may have expected.
In kindergarten I decided that I was going to run to the playground to start a game
that would be the highlight of the day. I ran up the stairs and onto the bridge but,
suddenly my legs had decided to give out on me and I landed with my hands on the
bridge with my thumb stuck in one of the small holes on the bridge. I didn t think
my finger was stuck so as a normal child would do I stood up really fast and
accidently ripped my thumb out of the bridge. It immediately snapped and my thumb
started to swell and turn a variety of deep blues, purples, and blacks. This turned into
a horrible mother and daughter 4 hour trip to the ER waiting in pain, trying to seek

A Brief Note On The Global Nursing Shortage Essay
Nurses occupy a central role in the delivery of health care in all countries though
countries have different health care systems and methods of payment options.
Unfortunately research on the nursing experience carried out in some countries has
indicated high levels of job dissatisfaction, burnout and intention to leave the
profession. Many countries are facing nursing shortages, worsened by the fact that
richer nations are luring nurses away from poorer ones, and that the nursing
profession has lost popularity among younger women and men as a career option
(Burke et al., 2012). The global nursing shortageis resulting in the need to find
multiple solutions to providing adequate numbers of nursing personnel. The shortage
is exacerbated by nurses leaving the profession and their current positions. Globally,
nursing turnover rates range from 10 21% per year, with countries such as the USA
and Australia reporting turnover rates of over 20% per year. Retaining nurses in their
current positions will reduce the magnitude of consequences associated with the
nursing shortage (Cowden and Cummings, 2012).
Definition Turnover is defined as job movement within and across organizational
boundaries, as well as by a variety of cognitive activities that preceded leaving.
Turnover intention refers to employees thoughts of quitting their present job.
Employees may choose to withdraw either physically or psychologically. One
physical form of withdrawal is to quit
1984 Critical Approach
Critical Approach to the Literature 1984 was written by George Orwell in 1948,
which was three years after the end of World War II. At that time, both of the
United State and the Soviet Union was trying to be the leader of the world. So the
biggest two countries started the Cold War. They were competing in all the fields to
prove that one of them should be the best of the world. Inside the Soviet Union, the
government suspected the United State would send spies and steal their secrets. So
they set a security committee named KGB. The committee tried to surveille everyone
in the society in case that the spies pretend to be normal citizens. Also, the
government encouraged people to report others who are suspected to be spies. The
ones talked... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The first thing it does is to destroy people s relationship and to kill emotion. Party
members are ordered to stay away from the beauty and sex, so they won t easily
feel happy or sad. At the same time, they lose the essence of human. The second
thing the government does is to revise the language. They delete most of the
adjective so that people won t have precise words to express their feelings to each
other. Syme, who helps to write the Newspeak dictionary, once says there won t be
any thought after it finishes. Orthodoxy is unconsciousness (56). By eliminating
feelings and language, the government can easily control people s mind and their
memory. There s another important dogma of the party: Who controls the past
controls the future. Who controls the present controls the past (320). And, as O Brien
says, the past only exists in records and people s mind. Now the Big Brother takes
charge of both, so he controls everything. Things he can t control, like stars, sun and
gravity, he sometimes just claims it doesn t exist. Doublethink is the best solution.
Controlling the past and the present, the government is
Corporate Asset Management At Berkshire Hathaway
Legendary investor Warren Buffett has held stock in The Coca Cola Company
(KO) for decades. His position through Berkshire Hathaway (BRK.A) (BRK.B)
amounted to 400 million shares at last count and made up over 15% of Berkshire s
portfolio. Buffett s investment serves other KO investors well because it adds an
element of stability to the stock price, and Buffett has no plans to sell his shares in
KO in the works. Other prominent investors with positions in KO at last measure
included Yacktman Asset Management with 39 million shares and Eagle Capital

While organic revenue from company owned operations grew by 4% during 2015
s second quarter, net revenue declined as a result of the complicated issues that
come with Coco Cola s reliance on independent distributors, wholesalers, retailers
and bottling partners. Fairly decentralized relationships and investments in
business partners located across the world have impacted KO s balance sheet. The
fourth quarter of 2014 carried a $32 million loss because owners of a majority
interest in one of the company s bottling partners from Brazil decided to exercise
their option to acquire a 10% interest in the Brazilian entity s outstanding shares.
This loss was exacerbated by the fact that the exercise price was lower than the
company s carrying value. Furthermore, during the first half of 2015, KO recorded a
$19 million loss from a failing investment in a South African bottling partner. Still,
these losses were not that material to KO as its revenue and profits are measured in

operations have been unfavorably impacted by volatile exchange rate fluctuations.

Morgan Motor Company
Morgan Motor Company (MMC) began as a family company and has remained that
way over the years. Decisions were largely driven by steady demand for their luxury
product. Traditionally, decision making was premised on production quotas that kept
supply slightly behind demand. While the company made a profit, it was not enough
to sustain the company in the long term due increasing costs caused by inefficient
methods of production. The key area for improvement was strategic planning based
on detailed and accurate information. The implementation of the strategic plan would
require a review of human resource managementpractices in order for MMC to
develop into an organisation that valued continuous innovation.
MMC could gain valuable ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In the first instance, focus should be on developing managers to help facilitate
organisational change (Waldersee, 1997) and enable them to be effective role models
within the company. Training solutions and interventions should target general areas
such as effective teamwork and communication, motivating workers and encouraging
innovation. Additionally, where there are identified skills gaps, it should also target
content specific areas e.g. contemporary sales and marketing practices would make
up for the sales director s lack of recent sales experience. Once again, Charles was led
by example by enrolling in an MBA, thus demonstrating his commitment to ongoing
education and development.
Although collectivism has traditionally been associated with eastern cultures
(Härtel, Fujimoto, Straybosch, Fitzpatrick, 2007), motor companies like Ford and
Toyota moved away from Taylorism and demonstrated the value of teamwork in
vehicle manufacturing (Winfield Kerrin, 1996). However, MMC s reward system of
individual production bonuses did not acknowledge the value of teamwork.
Moreover, an unspecified dollar amount that was eroded by inefficiencies in the
production process did not provide an incentive to improve production. Not only
should these individual production bonuses be quantified, the company should also
consider a reward system for foremen to acknowledge their efforts in encouraging
individuals and teams to achieve higher production.
The
Gay Marriage Should Be Legal
Gay marriage is one of the most debated and controversial issues in today s society.
Everyone has his or her opinions on gay marriage, whether it is acceptable or
should not be allowed. According to The Washington post, 59 percent say they
support same sex marriage while 34 percent are opposed (Craighil, P., Clement).
While 59% of the supporting gay is a high number, however that number is skewed.
There is a difference between tolerance and acceptance, but the 59% is the total of
the both. People have different perspectives on gay marriage. The ones that will be in
this essay are, social science against same sex marriage, most religions against same
sex marriage, and people for it.
People that approve same sex marriage have been going up as time goes, and more
people accept same sex marriage more than ever before. Thirty one states have
approved same sex marriage (ProConorg Headlines). That many states would not
have approved same sex marriage if their people didn t approve it. The states that
have approved gay marriage are the most populous states, such as California.
According to Gay marriage pro con, Marriage is redefined as society s attitudes
evolve, and the majority of Americans now support gay marriage (ProConorg
Headlines). In the 1900 s interracial marriage was forbidden and looked frowned
upon, which is somewhat now happening with gay marriage. Interracial marriage is
now common, and most people supported.
The Ripper Killings
Prior to the Ripper killings, the Metro Police force was created. Even before the
killings Women, especially Prostitutes and women who had jobs of that nature were
being discriminated against. In 1888, Jack started to take his stand. He took the lives
of prostitutes to show how he was against it and how he disliked the rise women were
trying to take. He mutilated the women and then dumped their bodies in the area of
Whitechapel. These killings taunted the policebecause of how public they all were
and the letters that were left behind. The police had many, many suspects as to who
The Ripper was, but all of them were deemed innocent. The Ripper made the police
look like fools and did it with elegance.

Jack started with Mary Ann Nichols on August 31st, 1888. He cut her throat and
dumped her in the area of Whitechapel. She was the first of the canonical five
victims of the Ripper s murders (Richard Jones). Next came Annie Chapman on
September 8th, 1888. The Ripper brutally mutilated her and took off with a part of
her womb. She was found in the backyard of John Davis, an elderly man who lived
at number 29 Hanbury Street. The third victim was Elizabeth Stride on September
30th, 1888. She was also left with a cut throat, but the rest of her wasn t touched.
This lead to speculation that her killer or The Ripper had been interrupted. The
fourth victim was Catherine Eddowes who was also killed on September 30th,
1888. This killing was much more violent than the other that had happened that
day. Her face had been mutilated and the killer had run off with her left kidney and
her uterus. The fifth victim of these five that were heavily speculated to be The
Ripper was Mary Kelly. She was murdered on November 9th, 1888. The Ripper had

N. Meningitis Research Paper
N. meningitidis can cause pneumonia, pericarditis, conjuctivis, endopthalmitis,
septic arthritis, pelvic or chromic low grade septicaemia but there are only two
types of typical diseases caused by N. meningitidis: meningococcal meningitis and
meningococcal septicaemia. And although there are 13 serogroups, only A, B, C,
Y and W 135 cause majority of the disease. These diseases occur rapidly once
infected and individuals infected will become detrimentally ill within 24 48 hours
and can die within a few hours of contraction. The initial signs of the symptoms are
nonspecific and can be mistaken for the flu, but the onset of fever, nausea, shivers
would progress to severe headaches, photophobia, confusion and vomiting.
Meningococcal meningitis: In Europe and the Americas, serogroups B and C
are predominant while in Africa serogroups A and C are dominant; serogroup W
135 is pandemic and serogroup Y as the dominant strain of infection in the United
States and Canada. There are 75 80% of patients acquiring this type of infection
which is an infection of the brain and spinal cord with a mortality rate of 2 4%.
Bacterial meningitis causes brain damage, hearing loss and learning disabilities to
those that do survive. Meningococci shed their endotoxin, which damages tissues and
activates the cytokine cascade (inflammation). This then allows them access to the
subarachnoid space causing the blood brain barrier to seep. 

Greyhound
CKC Classification: Hound
Origin
The origin of the greyhound is not quite known, some say they were known in the
Egyptian days and claiming Cleopatra owned one, but other sources say the breed
had come from parts of England and stating that Queen Elizabeth I had owned one
as well. Other sources claim they adapted from North Africa and the Middle East.
Wherever greyhounds originated we can say that they are a well known breed that is
loved by all and their presence dates back as far as we can recall.
Use
Greyhounds are mainly used for racing, they are known to be the fastest breed of dog
and when they run they are considered to be flying because they spend 80% of time
in the air. When greyhounds are retired they are kept as household pets, very lazy
dogs when they aren t racing.

doesn t mean it will not shed. Although the fur is extremely short, the greyhound
will still shed and the coat still needs to get groomed. Brushing and dry

build of a greyhound should always be thin, if you cannot see the ribs, this means
it is overweight. Greyhounds should generally weigh between 65 and 85 pounds in
males and 50 to 65 pounds in females (racing dogs are on lower end of scale). The
tail of a greyhound is quite long with an upward curve, it likes to hang between the
back legs. A greyhound can live as long as 12 15 years, some less, some
Romantic Art Movements
The French Revolution and the Neoclassical and Romantic art movements helped
each other to grow and changed the layout and structure of France s government and
monarchy forever. Some art was commissioned by the monarchy to spread their
values and beliefs, and some art helped to inspire change among the people of France
to destroy the monarchy. This relationship between the two was very dynamic, and it
can t truly be unanimously stated that one influenced the other more.
The painting The Coronation of Napoleon , by Jacques Louis David is a strong
example of how art was used to portray ideas of nobleness and power. The coronation
of Napoleon, along with many other works by David, helped to solidify Napoleon as
the Emperor of France, even ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The French Revolution and the attitude towards the monarchy gave way to artists
like Eugene who created works that inspired change. The inclusion of different
classes of frenchmen held on to the idea that unification was to be embraced. To
see a unified people fighting against the nobles was a step in a new direction, and
helped to bring people of all backgrounds to the cause (Lee, 2003). To depict a
fallen soldier of the monarch showed that they weren t immortal as the King was
still somewhat seen as a man of holiness. The fact that they stand below while Lady
Liberty raises the flag of what we now know as France, symbolizes the idea of a new
country and future that they can all fight together to achieve.
While art has always been used to relay a message, there were perhaps no better
example of its influence than the French Revolution. To be able to communicate a
message across a country is a simple notion today with technology, but in the days of
the French Revolution, art was the medium of change. Unifying people in those times
helped to raise morale, and gave the people confidence in numbers. This confidence
and bravery ultimately allowed France to be changed
Abraham Lincoln Essay
Abraham Lincoln Abraham Lincoln was the 16Th President of America. He was the
first republican that was elected as President. He ran for senate two times and lost
both. When he was in office he was mostly occupied with the states that broke away
from the Union, who was named the Confederate States of America. The first to break
away was South Carolina followed by 6 other states before the inauguration of
Abraham Lincoln. And then four more at the beginning of the Civil War,Battle of
Fort Sumter. Lincoln was inaugurated into office in March of 1861. Lincoln was
one of the reasons the pro slavery states broke away, they where afraid that Lincoln

Lincoln had made the Emancipation Proclamation, which banned slavery to the
CSA(Confederate States of America)that didn t come back to the Union by Jan 1,
1863. It also named the states it applied to. But it didn t name the boarder states of
Kentucky, Missouri, Maryland and Delaware because those states did not actually
declare secession so they didn t free any slaves in those states at the time. They also
didn t name Tennessee because it was mostly back to the Union by then. Most slaves
where not let go immediately but the Act freed thousands of slaves.
Lincoln thought people would think that the Emancipation Proclamation would be
only temporary due to the war and be soon forgotten. So what Abraham did is he
made the 13Th Amendment. The 13Th Amendment stated that slavery was illegal to
all states, and also that it is illegal to make people work against their will to benefit
themselves,which is called involuntary servitude.
The C.S.A collapsed when generals Robert E.Lee and Joesph E. Johnston
surrendered their armies over to the Union. Later the Union soldiers captured
Jefferson Davis(The Confederate President) on May of 1865. At almost the end of
the war Lincoln had a very reasonable view on what the nation
Robert Reich On Social Inequality
Social inequality is something our ancestors had to deal with and something our
children will have to deal with. This is an ongoing issue addressed by many but
solved by none. Social inequality is inevitable in this capitalistic society. This idea
of social inequality promotes the idea of capitalism which then promotes the
American Dream. The American Dream has become harder to reach than ever
before. Since the middle class is shrinking, the lower class finds it near to impossible
to work their way up the ladder. Due to new fortunes in industry, the lower class has a
cap set over them that they cannot quite break from. Big businesses and the one
percent has stomped on the American Dream. To reduce this flaw in social inequality,

The right of the laborer to his hundred dollars in the savings bank, and equally the
legal right of the millionaire to his millions, this is what Carnegie calls intense
individualism (Carnegie 488). This idea is essentially the heart of capitalism. As
humans, it is natural for most to be competitive and have the drive to be successful.
The competition, also referred to as survival of the fittest, pushes most people to be
the best and work hard so they can have the higher status. When you work hard and
get an earning from that, it is instinctive for most to want to keep that money, not give

Siam in the First World War
At the outbreak of the war in August of 1914, which merely 4 years after ascending
to the Throne in 1910, the King Vajiravudh monitoring and was well informed
about development of the war in Europe. Prior to Siam joined the war the king
Vajiravudh observed that Siam was geographically so remote from the war and he
was rightly in thinking that it was wise for Siam to maintain strict and impartial
neutrality. The reason behind this decision was due to the fact that there were
danger signs of the threats to Siamese independence especially during the early
years of the reign. As can be see from the last decade of nineteenth century Siam
was the only independent country in the South East Asia that was surrounded by
British and French colonies from east to west. The incident at Pak Nam , in 1893,
in which French brought the gun boats from their colonies in Indo China to the
Mae Nam and trained the guns on the King s Palace in Bangkok, were still fresh in
the mine of people in Siam. As a result of this conflicted Siam had to cede to France
the right bank of Mae Khong River which included Loung Pra Bang followed by the
whole of Cambodiawhich included Phra Vuhear temple in 1907 after signed Entente
Cordiale agreement of 1907. As well as these Siam also ceded Kedah, Kelanton,
Trangkanu and Perlis to Britain in 1909. Until about 1910s Germany became a new
competitor on colonial affairs, and show increased influence in Siam. According to

The Alchemist And Gifted Hands Essay
Christopher Orobinsky
The quote Character cannot be developed in ease and quiet. Only through
experience of trial and suffering can the soul be strengthened, ambition inspired,
and success achieved. In my opinion this quote is true because you do need
experience to do or know something. Although reading can give you a lot of
knowledge it s not enough for you in the real world. To become a doctor you
actually need experience but knowledge is just as important. I believe that this quote
can be applied to Gifted Hands: The Ben Carson Story by Ben Carson with Cecil

his Personal legend which is to travel and find his treasure. In this book he goes

he learns the secret of happiness which is to do what you love but not to forget the
task at hand. On his journey to find his personal legend he had to overcome many

English Comparison Essay
Red Jacket and Olaudah Equiano have different opinions on the people of the United
States of America because they had different roles and were in different situations,
they were in different locations, and they experienced different types of treatment and
behavior. Olaudah Equiano was a captured African from Benin; his home in Western
South Africa. He worked as a slave in Barbados and Virginia but surprisingly bought
his freedom and headed to England to support the British anti slavery movement. He
learned how to read and write in English while settled in Great Britain. This led to
him writing about his experience of being a slave and all the horrific sights he saw.
He wrote a piece about him being captured and sent to the ship. He talked about his
journey, shows the knowledge, and education he had back then. He wrote about the
Americans and what he thought about them. He also mentions the treatment the
Africans were getting. On the other hand, Red Jacket had the role of a Native
American Chief, he was a prominent leader of the Native American tribe called the
Senecas. He, unlike Equiano, wrote about his experience while in the United States of
America. His speech was his weapon to defend the religion he believes in. He uses

The Two Franks and Their Architecture Essay
Different architects have different styles because they are trying to get at different
things. Architecture is not just about making something beautiful anymore, it is
about trying to get across a set of ideas about how we inhabit space. Two of the most
famous architects of the twentieth century, one from each side, the early part and the
later part up until today each designed a museum with money donated by the
Guggenheim foundation. One of these is in New York City, it was designed by
Frank Lloyd Wright. The other is in bilbao, Spain, and it was designed by Frank
Geary. My purpose of this paper is to interrogate each of these buildings, glorious for
different reasons, to show how each architect was expressing their own style.... Show

This is a very functional approach. I am only going to talk about the outside of
Frank Geary s museum because I have never been there, and I have only seen
pictures on the internet. This building is surprisingly attractive because the other
building that we saw in class of his, his house in Santa Monica, had a great deal of
ugliness, to use an official term. His house in Santa Monica was supposed to look
unfinished, with an emphasis on the materials used in construction. This building,
however, looks as if it has been wrapped in silver. It looks very futuristic, and
angular, so it could be functional as a museum as a museum because people will
know it holds modern art. I like the way that it catches reflections, almost mirroring
the surrounding buildings. So, in these two examples we see very different
approaches to architecture. One has an impressive inside and the other one has an
appealing outside. Also, both seem to be departures for the architects from their
normal modes Wright s building doesn t blend in with nature, and Geary s doesn t
look deconstructed into small parts. Now if only they could has worked together on
one project, then we would have a museum that would be perfect inside and out. The
Falling Water House that was built by Frank Lloyd Wright is an embodiment of
organic architecture. It has a stone face that was the same tonal feeling of the rock
that surrounds the building. There is a feeling that is inspired in the
Reoccurring Symbols In Sweat By Zora Neale Hurston
In the short story Sweat by Zora Neale Hurston a reoccurring symbol is the snake.
Its apparition is a dominating force throughout the plot. The main character Delia s
husband, Sykes uses the snake as a method of tormenting. It first appears to the
readers in the form of a whip. Then it manifests into a genuine rattlesnake that Sykes
brings home one day. Sykes, the story s antagonist, becomes a symbolic adaption of
the snakeas the plot evolves. The emblematic meaning embedded into to the snake is
oppression and evil. In the story Sweat , symbolism is used in the form of a snake to

Female Incarceration In Pride And Prejudice
Pride and Prejudice, by Jane Austen, was written in perspective of the time era Jane
Austen grew up in. At a young age, Austen was subjected to this very conformed
society, where a suited woman was married into a family for money/estates. In an
article written about Austen s life, Jane Austen and the Province of Womanhood, by
Alison Sulloway, a precise background of why Jane Austenwrote pride and prejudice

Jane Austen, the author of Pride and Prejudice, wrote this piece in satire of her
own life in which she grew up in. A society where you were told who to marry, and
you knew you were doing it for the money. This type of conformity is based on
marxism, or the analysis of social and class relations using a materialistic
interpretation. Elizabeth Bennet is a main character, a daughter, and a sister in
the book whom is trying to find a husband and a future estate. She breaks the
societal norm when she abruptly turns down a proposal from a man of much
fortune, Mr. Darcy, by saying, From the very beginning, from the first moment I
may almost say, of my acquaintance with you, your manners, impressing me with
the fullest belief of your arrogance, your conceit, and your selfish disdain of the
feelings of others, were such as to form that ground work of disapprobation, on
which succeeding events have built so immovable a dislike; and I had not known
you a month before I felt that you were the last man in the world whom I could
ever be prevailed on to marry (Ch. 34). In the article about Jane s life, the author
states, Feminine action is contracted by numberless difficulties, that there are no
impediments of masculine exertion (pg.2), in other words stating that a woman
almost never has a right to disapprove someone in the way Austen wrote of
Elizabeth to Darcy in his proposal. This proves that Austen was mocking the
normality, and trying to focus the reader on feminism (advocacy of women s rights),
and the resistance against conformity ( marxism ). Jane Austen also portrays
feminism through the character Lydia Bennet, another daughter/sister in the Bennet
family who needs to marry in order to find money and a place to live. During this era,
class was a big affair, in which it was highly scorned upon. In Sulloway s

Vulnerability In The IT Industry
Vulnerability is defined as the capability of or susceptibility to being wounded or
hurt, as by a weapon; open to assault; difficult to defend . IT managers face many
aspects of vulnerability everyday and it is rapidly growing. This study is an
attempt to show that most important cybersecurity vulnerability facing IT
managers today is trust of the end user. Overall, an end user working within any
capacity can be easily compromised through BYOD use and cause possible
damage to an IT infrastructure. Mobile Devices in the Digital Age 1.2 billion
mobile devices were sold globally in 2013. 10 billion devices, smartphones and
tablets, will be in use by 2019 (Harris, 2013). The prevalence of mobile gadgets has
steadily risen since; Cisco (2015) writes that globally mobile devices and

accounted for 88 percent of that growth, with 439 million net additions in 2014.
There were nearly 109 million wearable devices. In 2014, the number of mobile

has provided end users a choice to utilize their personal devices instead of company

being a lower hardware cost for an entities IT department. New technical capabilities
of the end user have resulted in faster equipment upgrades in the IT field. The usual
upgrade cycle is typically 3 5 years. Lastly, BYOD has increased employee
satisfaction due to end users already having their own person devices, and being able

not the personality, nor the emotions, for these also will vanish with death
(Quotes). This is a similar question almost everyone at some point in their lives
ask. Personally, my identity was a big issue during my teenage years and I had a
lot questions such as Who am I? Who do I belong to? I did not have the answers at
that time. Nevertheless, as life progressed, I was able to come across certain life
events, experiences and people who helped me to discover who I truly am I am a
conqueror and a legitimately strong woman. My parents, siblings and generally the
people around me have continually played a key role in helping me to discover
myself. I know who my parents are, my date of birth, I am an English speaker, I
know most people around me, particularly my family, I know they love me and I
love them too. I have known my names, my weaknesses and strengths, my
emotions and learnt about myself majorly through my family. Everyone around me
has had a huge impact on my life and through interaction with them, I have been
able to know what works best for me and what does not. Through my family, I have
been able to identify my origin, culture and identity by taking interest in their ways
of life. For example, I am a Catholic and I know some of my weaknesses relate to
my family members. Just like Amy Tan, who says, Lately,
The Wars At The End Of The Cold War
The wars at the end of the Cold War and the beginning of the new century are entirely
different from the other ones, mainly since September 11th, 2011. The nature of the
strategic environment of the warfare has undergone a series of transformations
because of the globalization, technology, economic relationships, and cultural
changes. They influence the warand create an environment characterized as volatile,
uncertain, complex and ambiguous (VUCA). This new environment has shifted the
conventional use of arms, likewise, the strategies and the genius of the participants.
This paper tries to explain which of the strategic theories from two classical
strategists, Jomini and Clausewitz, have relevance and remain valid in this new
century characterized by a VUCA environment. Also, I analyze the principles from
the Chinese General Sun Tzu in unconventional warfare.
In this regard, it is necessary to understand the future of the wars. Then, I will
analyze Jomini s principles. After that, I will consider the core concepts of
Clausewitz about his Trinity, the character of the war, and the genius of the leaders.
Also, I will explain some similar definitions between Clausewitz and Sun Tzu.
Finally, I will analyze Sun Tzu theories and its relevance nowadays.
The nature of the war remain unchanged after thousands of years; however, its
character changed and it will continue mutable in the future according of the new
technological environment and new threats. These changes have had
Analysis Of The Freedom Writers
The greatest stories that people have heard about throughout their lives are about
characters who have worked hard to overcome obstacles, proving the rest of the
world wrong by doing so. These underdog stories are highly effective when it comes
to their ability to captivate and inspire many different audiences. One specific
example of this is in the movie The Freedom Writers. This movie, directed by
Richard LaGravenese, is a real life example of people overcoming the circumstances
they are surrounded with and making something out of themselves. This story opens
up in 1994 California when a first year educator takes on a job that involves teaching
the unteachable (Freedom Writers). This movie goes above and beyond because it
shows not only the students struggle to achieve better grades, but the struggle of their
teacher to give her students another opportunity for their lives. The Freedom Writers
is an important story that inspires many people due to the underlying theme that
sometimes the outsiders and the underdogs can overcome their obstacles and achieve
their ultimate goal. In order to develop an understanding for the movie, it is important
to understand what was happening within the community of Long Beach, California.
This storyline takes place shortly after the California Race Riots. These riots caused a
great divide among the many different ethnicities of people during this time. Due to
these previous events, the world that these high school students had grown up in
The African American Artist By White Anglo Saxon...
Although dominated by white Anglo Saxon sociocultural patterns, American culture
is in fact a tapestry woven of diverse threads that include Native American, Hispanic,
Asian and African traditions, as well as those of European origin (Craven, 2003, p.
529). America is often described as the melting pot; the concept of culture is
formulated around the notion of many subcultures inside one larger nation in which,
the melting pot has not merely melted; it has cooked a broth with an unmistakable
favor of its own (Perry, 1949, p. 357). Many painters took up the plight of those who
were not sharing fully in the American dream (Craven, 2003, p. 564). Evidence of
this is in the visual images throughout the course of American history of what the
overall ideology of American culture summarizes enabling one to perceive what
Americans daily lives were like in the past, how it is seen now in the present, and
what it may reflect in the future. The African American artist Robert Gwathmey
(1903 88) painted pictures of the social injustices meted out to blacks to keep them in
poverty (Craven, 2003, p. 546). He captured the true aesthetics of the African
American culture and what dreams/aspirations they hoped to achieve, even
portraying the struggle of their adversities. His painting entitled Belle (1965) portrays
the destitution, discrimination, and amateurish methods of white supremacy
reflected on the blacks psyche in America. Grant Wood, another American artist,

Stein And Stryker Summary
Stein and Stryker respond to two important challenges within the field: Stein
responds to the struggle of finding a methodology of historiography that allows for a
distinction to be drawn between popular conceptions and lived experiences of sex,
gender, sexuality, love, marriage and family, while Stryker unravels the complexity of
the register of the discourse, specifically when defining the taxonomies of gender, sex
and sexuality.
The former is significant because given that sexuality and sex were considered to be
parts of the private sphere of the lives of individuals, it is hard to find reliable,
primary sources on which to base a historical timeline on. In addition, finding sources
originating from both institutions of power and individuals
Annabel Lee Literary Devices
The author of the Annabel Lee poem is Edgar Allan Poe; this poem was published
two months before his death in 1849. There was a spin off on Poe s poem, also
titled Annabel Lee by Tiger Army, made in 2010. Both the poem and the song are
tales of a lost loved one that they cannot get over, leading them in a direction that
can be determined by reading them. The similarities between Poe s poem and
Tiger Army s song are the use of irony and personification, literary devices, and the
love interest they share, aka Annabel. First is the irony in Poe and Tiger Army. The
narrator claimed that with a love that the winged seraphs of heaven coveted her and

The angels cannot really be jealous of those on earth, as they have been set free and
can find love in heaven anyway, thus showing the irony here. The lyrics in Tiger
Army exclaimed that they were speaking your name. Though it s over, think of me.
Will you release me? are proving that he is still not over her (Tiger Army). The
irony in this statement is that throughout the song, he talks about her consuming his
thoughts even though she is gone but he is asking her to think of him and to let
him go. Meaning that he is stuck thinking about her but he is wanting her not be
selfish and to let him carry on with life. Next shows the personification in Poe and
Tiger Army. The narrator reveals that The angels, not half so happy in heaven
/ Went envying her and me , showing that the angels are again trying to do
something to them (Poe). The angels are spirits and once again, angels cannot show
jealousy or happiness towards those who are living. The angels are obviously dead
and therefore, they cannot show any emotions. As he sits in the same place near the
shore he hears the ocean whispering in the night air (Tiger Army). The ocean waves
are basically crashing loudly onto the shore, where him and Annabel shared memories

The Importance Of My Trip To Europe
Everyone has at least one thing, place, or person that is meaningful to them,
something that provokes a strong emotion. For me, there are a few things that are
very meaningful to me. There is one thing that stands out to me as something I don t
want to ever forget about. This is the trip to three countries in Europe this past June.
As a graduation gift, I went with my teacher and students on a trip to Paris,
Switzerland, and Italy. This trip not only changed my view on everything but it
also changed who I am. This trip was brought about my teacher. Every year she
uses EF Tours, an education tour provider, to give her students options for
different trips all over the world. Some places include Mexico, Australia, Europe,
and more. Typically, students 10th grade and above are invited to join her for a trip,
which is cheaper than it would be to just go without EF tours. Every year I heard
about these trips since I had her as my teacher all four years of high school.
Originally, the thoughtof going on the trips scared me. My mindwould go all over the
place thinking of all of the bad things that could happen. Thinking about it made
my heart feel like it was trying to come out of my chest, like a bird escaping its
cage. As the four years went by, I would hear about these trips and just push the idea
of it out of my mind. That was until senior year when this trip came up. The plan
was to travel to the three countries with a possibility of going to England. Whenever I

Strawberry Spring By Stephen King Analysis
Killer s Perspective
A horror story should have some elements to grab the attention of audience such as
suspense and mystery. However, it is a challenge to achieve this goal especially in a
short story, but that did not seem to be an obstacle for Stephen King, who is famous
for writing horror fiction stories. Jeffrey W. Hunter, who is editor of Contemporary
Literacy Criticism, believes that Stephen King is a marketing phenomenon for the
large number of books he has sold. One of his first works was Strawberry Spring,
which was published along with other short stories in a book titled Night Shift in
1978. In the same manner as other Stephen King s writings, Strawberry Spring is a
story loaded of mystery where death is one of the main components. The story
begins with a narrator s memory about what happened eight years ago when he was
in college in 1968. The narrator remembers how a serial killer who was called
Springheel Jack came into action during strawberry spring which is a natural
phenomenon that only happens every eight years. Four young women were murdered
in that year. Despite the efforts and investigations of police, the murderer was never
caught. After eight years, the strawberry spring has come back and the killer, as well.
Without a doubt, first person narrative point of view, setting, and symbolism are
crucial elements that make Strawberry Spring a fascinating story.
To begin with, Strawberry spring is a story told in first person. The first person

Personal Reflective Essay
I landed in the beautiful city of London on June 30th. As I left the plane, I
immediately took note of the immense amount of diversity in London s Gatwick
Airport. Seven days prior to my arrival, the British people voted, in a historical
referendum, to leave the European Union, leaving the entire EU rattled and the
world in shock about what is to come in global affairs. Upon arriving at
immigration, I immediately took note of the three lines into which travelers were
placed UK passport holders, EU citizens and non EU Citizens. It excited me to know
how historic of a time it was to be in the United Kingdom. Brexit made the
exploration of my personal learning goal far deeper, more exciting and more
impactful that I would have ever anticipated last spring when selecting my area of
focus. In the Spring, I had no idea about Brexit or the influence it would have on my
personal learning goal. I feel fortunate for this experience and have enjoyed reflecting
on Londonin light of my learning goal. Thinking about politics and its interactions
with the culture, values, geography and history of the UK and the EU has
dramatically enhanced the way I view cultures outside of my own, and has given me

In one of my first blog posts, I wrote about a time I biked for three miles on my own

Jimmy Cross Analysis
In the war, it often thought that soldiers, go to a country to keep peace in that part
of the world. Unfortunately that is not always the case;during these tours ,soldiers
die everyday from cultural violence, and misguided information by their superiors
and in this story that has occurred. Jimmy Cross is characterized as a man who is
filled with emotion and the loss of one of his men. Cross carried a compass,
maps,...He carried a strobe light and the responsibility for the lives of his men. (Tim
O Brien pg. 4) Cross felt directly responsible for his men. Deathlead Cross to the
realization of who Cross truly is, and who he will become. Jimmy Cross has to find

The first layer was the necessities, such as food, lighters, canteens full of water, and

kept up with their physiological needs. The next layer of the types of objects they
carried, would be their weapons and safety equipment. These are significant
because it not only kept them safe but, helped them feel safety and security
emotionally. The next layer consists of objects that are best described as personal.
These items are, but not limited to photos, good luck charms, and other items that
have an emotional toll on the person who the item belongs to. These items are
significant because it shows their humanity toward others and to themselves. The

Numerical Weather Prediction Essay
People predict weather differently; barometer, now casting and observing weather
conditions by looking at the sky are just some of methods or examples that can be
used to predict the future weather. In this essay Numerical Weather Prediction will be
described using the primitive equations, and then the difference between the short
term and climate forecasts will be distinguished.
Numerical Weather Predictionmodel uses the primitive equations to predict future
weather based on the present weather conditions.
There are five different primitive equations that are being used to predict the weather,
Wind forecast equation, it is the equation of motion that explains the movement of air
masses in the atmosphere, the continuity equation deals with the rising of warm, wet
air and sinking of cold dry air as the air columns shrinks and stretches, and then
according to Tyson Preston Whyte(2000:342) the temperature forecast equation helps
the climatologists and meteorologists to see that, there is local changes in
temperature because of the horizontal advection of temperature and there is also
changes in distribution of heat when the adiabatic latent heat is added to the earth
surface and the atmosphere, moisture forecast equation shows that when

Diagnostic calculations give the better understanding, of the relation between
pressure, density and temperature, and the horizontal velocity is never included in
these calculations. In contrary to diagnostic calculations the prognostic calculations
can easily be divide into two stages, a purely hydrodynamics which determines the
motion of air particles in the atmosphere and thermodynamics which is used to reach
conclusion about changes that occur at different stages of the prediction of the
weather, and the vertical velocity is never included in these prognostic
African American Incarceration And The Advancement Of...
Today, in America there is a disproportionate amount of Black people incarcerated.
There are discrepancies in everything from the education they receive to the jobs that
are available to them. This growing trend needs to be addressed and changed
permanently, otherwise already superfluous statistics will continue to increase. The
National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (n.d.) declared that
One in six black men had been incarcerated as of 2001. If current trends continue,
one in three black males born today can expect to spend time in prison during his
lifetime. African Americanincarceration has become an accepted norm in our society
and in order to fix it we need to establish the lack of education, address workplace...

Petrella (2012) also notes that The school to prison pipeline disproportionally targets
youth of color and youth with disabilities for incarceration, as school policies may
isolate them from their peer groups through expulsion, suspension, ineffective
retention policies, transfers and high stakes testing requirements. There is a direct
connection between being African American and lack of education because of
learning difficulties that are not being addressed or missing school because of
suspension or expulsion. The perception of being doomed from the start can directly
interfere with motivation and drive towards a better future. Nittle (n.d.) notes that
Racism in the United States would not have thrived if institutions hadn t perpetuated
discrimination. The despair of defeat at an early age is hard to crawl out of, without
the added pressure of race.
Disparities show up in the workplace and not just in the education system. Nesbit
(2015) states In the workplace, black college graduates are twice as likely as whites
to struggle to find jobs the jobless rate for blacks has been double that of whites for
decades. This means that multiple difficulties stand in the way of the average Black
person being successful. With few jobs available and when faced with the seemingly
impossible pursuit of making a living, an instantaneous income can seem appealing.

The Development Of New Zealand
New Zealand is a country which for the most part is made up of hills and
mountains area. These hilly and mountainous natures cover about 18 million
hectares in land. This means that about 69% of the country land has slopes greater
than 12В°, and got the country to be nicknamed the hill country . This 69% hilly
land is further divided into two based on the sloppiness of the land. The land with
slope between 12 28В° is called hill land ; thus, the land whose slope exceeds 28В° is
themed steepland (DSIR 1980). The diversity in New Zealands hill country physical
regimes creates ranges of slope and altitude, coupled with a extensive latitudinal
range, a mid oceanic setting surrounding the subtropical with cooling moderate
climates, and complex geologic and tectonic regimes. As a consequence of this
diversity, the productive potential of New Zealand s hill country, and its response to
climatic events, created the use of sustainable land us act to be used across the
country.
Out of these 18 million hectares, 6.3 million hectares in the North Island
comprises of majorly soft rock and crushed soft rock terrain (Mclvor, Douglas,
Dymond, Eyles and Marden. 2011). About 23% of the 18 million is made up of
volcanic ash and loess mantled terrain comprises largely on the periphery of the
Central Volcanic Zone. Also, 14.5% of the available land is Hard rock hill country,
which is exclusive of the igneous hard rock is largely strenuous on the margins of the

Allegory In The Grapes Of Wrath
In John Ford s Grapes of Wrath, the audience is introduced to an American allegory
of the suffering people endured during a rough period in history brought on by the
greed of the banking industry and the dust bowl Migration. A man named Tom Joad
returns to his homeland after being incarcerated for the last four years for
manslaughter. As a surprise, when Tom arrives home, he finds out that his family is
no longer on their land that they have been on for many years. Tom then finds out
that his family is planning on leaving their once beloved home state to move to the
promise land, California. The movie accurately captures the representation of the
good guys versus the bad guys and shows the cruel conditions that actually existed
during this time in history. In further research, John Flinn Sr. states, It took courage, a

The Great Depression was a time where many sharecropper families faced many
problems. Some of the problems were due to the lack of rain which made it
difficult for sharecroppers to stay on the farmer s land because there was no
income coming from the land the families were supposed to be taking care of.
With the lack of crops and money coming in, banks and bigger industries started to
buy the land that sharecroppers lived on for very cheap and lacked compassion
while kicking the families out of their homes. These social injustices continued to
happen throughout the movie and at the end of the film, Tom tells Ma that he is
going away to fight against all of the unfair policies. Even though Ma doesn t

find him was to look for wherever the men were hungry, wherever the kids are in

Family Themes In Huckleberry Finn
The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn Theme: Family Mark Twain s The
Adventures of Huckleberry Finn is a classical novel that contains numerous themes
and ideas. Alongside the themes of freedom, race, rules, religion, and deceit lies
the most important theme throughout the entire story; family. Throughout the
novel, Huckleberry Finn battles with whether or not family supports and builds
you up or if it orders you around and tears down your ambitions. One quote that
perfectly describes this concept was spoken by Aishwarya Rai Bachan who stated
that, my family is my strength and my weakness. (Bachan 1). Family is a theme
that constantly emerges in Huckleberry Finn, one that is constantly getting re
defined: from the Shepherdson and Grangerford feud, to Huck living with Miss
Watson and Widow Douglas, to Huck discovering a father figure in Jim. The
Shepherdson and Grangerford feud altered Huck s perspective about the definition
of family. Huck s first interaction with the Grangerfords gives him the impression
that Widow Douglas assessment of the Col. and his family were correct. The
Grangerfords were kind, caring, wealthy and well respected. They are very
hospitable towards Huck. Despite owning hundreds of slaves and servants the
Grangerfords are practically a perfect family, especially for this time period.
However, when Buck talks about the feud it changes his perspective. Well, says
Buck, a feud is this way: A man has a quarrel with another man, and kills him; then

Beowulf Heroic Qualities
Mighty strength, fame, and honor. The great Beowulf takes on all danger and
proves himself to be an epic hero. Beowulf is an Epic hero who posses many
heroic qualities. He is a powerful hero who shows loyalty to others, strengths that no
one else can reach, and fearlessness. Beowulf was courageous and he would devote
his life to help and save others from all the monsters. One quality that a heromust
possess is bravery. Bravery shows that a hero has the courageto go out and do
something that no one else would. Beowulf possessed this quality and fought off
the monsters and saved lives. Beowulf s heroic quality can be compared to Malala
Yousafzai. She has loads of bravery for her stand on women s education in these
third world countries. In order to be called a hero they must possess the quality of
being brave and facing your fears, danger, and doing the right job to help others.
There are many qualities that heroes can possess. One quality that all heroes need
to possess is bravery. Being brave is a major component of life and everyone can
acquire this quality. A hero must possess this quality because it shows us that they
are willing to sacrifice themselfs for obstacles that people would not typically do.
In the epic poem of Beowulf, Beowulf fought Grendel without any weapons and
used only his fist and he needs no weapons. ... Is so great that he needs no weapons
and fears none Nor will My Lord Higlac Might think less of me if I let my sword...
My hands Alone shall fight for me (168 173). Beowulf shows great amount of
bravery throughout the epic poem. His actions make him an epic hero because he
posses the quality of being brave and his courage gains fame from the people of
Herot. Bravery shows that the hero has the qualities to face fears, danger, and
difficulties. People look up to that as well and they praise the people who show
bravery. The quality of being brave is an essential for being a hero. In order to be
called a hero , they must possess this quality. The heroic quality that a hero must
demonstrate is being brave. Beowulf shows a vast amount of bravery throughout the
epic poem. Beowulf has been a mighty warrior during his life. He wanted to continue
his action packed life by

Description
Researchers have been begun to emphasize how young individuals use their personal
strengths and abilities to persevere through difficult situations and create a more
positive outcome for themselves. However, current research connecting this strengths
based approach to African Americanyouth development is very scarce. Past
descriptions of African American males and females in academia have been
extremely negative. The goal of this article is to use this positive, strengths based

First, I would implement trauma and diversity trainings for all educators and staff
members in schools that focus on how trauma experiences can impact an individual s
emotional and behavioral development and their ability to succeed academically and
in other settings. The diversity portion of this training would focus on the cultural
differences that are experienced by individuals of different races and ethnicities
because it is important to be culturally sensitive, especially when teaching young
minority individuals. Secondly, my practicum placement is in OKC public schools
and the school social workers in the district serve very high need populations and
many individuals have a negative connotation of the students who attend these
schools. I will work to change the negative dialogue that surrounds these schools to a
positive one, so that the individuals who are guiding these children through the
school system will not continue to lower their expectations of these students and
negatively impact their educational experience. I will do this by only focusing on the
student s strengths when conversing with teachers and principals. Thirdly, I would
advocate for schools to make it a part of their curriculum to allow students to explore
their heritages in the hopes of helping students create positive ethnic identities, which
has been linked to positive outcomes for
Plan and Response for a Chief Nursing Officer
Chief Nursing Officer: Plan and Response
The reality is that healthcare fraud negatively impacts everyone in the nation. Health
care identity theft dominated all other crimes in the sector last year, according to
Louis Saccoccio, executive director of the National Health Care Anti Fraud
Association (NHCAA), an advocacy group whose members include insurers, law
enforcement and regulatory agencies (Kavilanz, 2010). Groups of organized
criminals are hacking into the digital databases of healthcare organizations so that
they can take money from the Medicare system, which means that the government is
actually the sole largest victim of health care fraud, according to the FBI (Kavilanz,
2010). The scope and vastness of such crimes truly impact everyone. The money that
is stolen not only undermines the integrity of the healthcare system as whole, but is
taken away from organizations and individuals who truly need it to help people fight
fatal diseases, to help them overcome chronic conditions, to put them back to work
and reunite them with their families. Fraudulent activity not only compromises the
integrity of the entire healthcare system, but takes numerous victims, impairing the
healthcare system from accomplishing the full extent of their goals.
Engaging in one s due diligence means that taking conscientious efforts to prevent
and watch for the red flags of fraudulent behavior is everyone s job. As a chief

Introduction The concept of the Union Citizenship introduced at Maastricht for the

legislation that were governing the rights of different category of people under EU
law, including workers, job seekers, self employed, families, students, etc. Moreover,
discrimination on the ground of nationality is prohibited on matters such as taxation,

This is mentioned by the ECJ in Gauchard where a French manager of a

He argued that the French rules breached EU law, but the ECJ disagreed due to

element; this is affirmed in Ruiz Zambrano which will be discussed later. The
rights of free movement and residence of EU citizens EU citizens are provided
various rights which can be enjoyed by them under article 20(2) TFEU. Under the
mentioned article EU citizens are granted political rights and the right to move and
reside freely within the territory of the Member States. It is noteworthy that the
right of residence is given to EU citizens under CRD 2004/38 is different for
different groups. Under article (6) Union citizens have the right of residence up to
three months without any condition. However, under article (7), the right of
residence for more than three months is conditioned and it is only for workers, self
employed and those who have adequate resources and they do not become a burden
on the host Member State. Moreover, Union citizens have the right of permanent
residence if they continuously reside in the host Member State for five years (article

The Revolution of Social Media
Society has over time, developed many means of communication starting with the
word of mouth to writing letters, the telephone, and now the internet. The internet
has developed its own form of communication, which is a social network. Social
networks have created a way for people across the world to communicate with each
other at the same time, all in one place, thus making it the internet the reason behind
the revolution known as Social Network. Just as anything else, social networks were
not born in a day, it slowly developed into what is known in today s society. In the 70
s, Bulletin Board Systems (BBSs) and Usernets were prime communication. BBS is
considered the first site that allowed internet users to interact with each other.... Show

Social media s have also been used by the government for public support, a prime
example being President Barack Obama s 2008 Campaign. In 2007, when the
campaigning began, social networks were still fresh and the government had not
yet used it to their advantage. President Obama was able to connect social
networking applications to raise money, organize locally, fight smear campaigns
and get out the vote to help them topple the other candidates. It all was pretty
simple, posting updates on Facebook and tweeting reminders to vote. Through that
strategy he was able to create an enormous database of supporters and followers
that Presidents before had never experienced or had even thought to develop. With
sites such as Change.Org, MyBO and being active on Twitter President Obama has
been able to utilize the social media work to his advantage, to create a more
personal association with his supports and creating more of a connection with the
people. Social networks have become the prime source of connectivity across the
world. If Facebook were a country, it would be the 3rd largest. Social networks
have brought together one in eight married couples in the United States. Facebook
on its own was able to reach 200 million users in under a year trumping, television
users, radio users and internet users by years. Yet still social media develops every
day. On social media, you are able to keep up with friends and family, find old high
school friends and meet
The Millionaire Next Door By Thomas Stanley And
William...
The Millionaire Next Door is an exciting breakdown of the common characteristics
of the millionaires existing amongst us. Authors Thomas Stanley and William Danko
throws more light on the myths and will give you a wide ranging view of what and
how actual millionaires look like.
1. Meet the Millionaire Next Door
These individuals cannot be millionaires!!! Because their appearance doesn t look
like millionaires, they do not act like millionaires, they do not eat like millionaires,
neither do they dress like millionaires, and they do not even have millionaire names.
Then where are the millionaires who look like millionaires then? Being wealthy,
affluent, or being prosperous is not defined in terms of physical properties. On the
contrary, those people we term as being affluent get much more longing from
possessing sizeable quantities of significant properties, than from showing a high
ingesting way of life.
In this book, it is well defined that the starting point (verge) of being wealthy is
possessing a net value of $1,000,000 or even more. Centered on this description,
only 3.5 million (3.5 percent) of 100 million families in America are referred to as
wealthy. Roughly 95% of millionaires in America have a net worth between
$1,000,000 and $10,000,000. A large quantity of the discussion in this book centers
on this section of the population. This group is being focused on because this level
of wealth can be achieved in one generation and by many Americans.
2. Frugal Frugal

there team was untouchable. That was until the arrival of Elliot Ness, the
incorruptible treasury agent assigned the role of bringing the Italian gangster to
justice. Faced with rank corruption, he surrounded himself with a team of cops
dedicated to the cause the Untouchables. At the height of Prohibition, in 1930s
America, Chicago was ruled over by one Alfonso Capone. He ruled the town by
the might of his fist, from the illegal speakeasy rackets right up through the ranks
of the police and judicial system, holding them in his will through bribery and
blackmail. Mr. Capone was finally put to justice for simple tax evasion. He died of
syphilis eight years after his release from prison. In the movie Jimmy hears word of

Value Of Education Essay

  • 1. Value Of Education Essay Crafting an essay on the importance of education can be both challenging and rewarding. On one hand, the topic is vast, encompassing various aspects of education's impact on individuals and society. The writer must navigate through the intricacies of educational philosophy, social implications, and personal experiences to provide a comprehensive perspective. The difficulty lies in striking a balance between general principles and specific examples. It requires delving into the historical context, exploring different educational systems, and analyzing the contemporary challenges faced by educational institutions. The writer must also consider the diverse perspectives on education, acknowledging that its value may vary across cultures, socioeconomic backgrounds, and personal beliefs. Furthermore, constructing a cohesive argument demands the synthesis of research findings, statistical data, and anecdotal evidence. Balancing these elements while maintaining a clear and engaging writing style is a meticulous task. Moreover, the essay must not only articulate the importance of education but also address potential counterarguments and critiques. This requires a thoughtful examination of the limitations and shortcomings of educational systems, making the essay a nuanced exploration rather than a one-sided advocacy piece. In conclusion, writing an essay on the value of education is a formidable task that requires in- depth research, critical analysis, and effective communication skills. However, it is a gratifying endeavor as it allows the writer to contribute to the ongoing dialogue about the transformative power of education. • 2. Wind Power And Energy Power Abstract Wind power is still the most promising renewable energy in the year of 2013. The wind turbine system (WTS) started with a few tens of kilowatt power in the 1980s. Now, multi megawatt wind turbines are widely installed even up to 6 8 MW. There is a widespread use of wind turbines in the distribution networks and more and more wind power stations, acting as power plants, are connected directly to the transmission networks. As the grid penetration and power level of the wind turbines increase steadily, the wind power starts to have significant impacts to the power grid system. Therefore, more advanced generators, power electronic systems, and control solutions have to be introduced to improve the characteristics of the wind power plant and make it more suitable to be integrated into the power grid. Meanwhile, there are also some emerging technology challenges, which need to be further clarified and investigated. The global electrical energy consumption is still rising and there is a steady demand to increase the power capacity. The production, distribution and the use of the energy should be as technological efficient as possible and incentives to save energy at the end user should be set up. The deregulation of energy has lowered the investment in larger power plants, which means the need for new electrical power sources may be very high in the near future. Two major technologies will play important roles to solve the future problems. One is to change the electrical

  • 7. The Orson Welles Show Orson Welles career took place in the mid thirties to late eighties in the twentieth century. He began his career at age fifteen, starting in Ireland, making his acting debut in the Gate Theater in Dublin. By eighteen, Welles started to appear in off Broadway productions. It was then that he also launched his radio career. By age twenty, he had presented alternate interpretations of certain well known plays and movies. At age twenty two he was the most notable Broadway star from Mercury Theater and, because of this, BBC radio gave him an hour each week to broadcast whatever he pleased. His Mercury Theater of the Air also set high and new standards for future radio drama productions. His directing philosophy was that his way was the best way. Welles work was solely self reliant and dependent on his representation of guise. This style/philosophy contributed to the way modern artists presently direct their films and movies. He began his most notable movie, Citizen Kane, with multiple test shots and killed his own character by using a very low angle, as if the viewer was right there, dead, with his character. Welles loved to introduce his films by starting with mysterious, bleak worlds. His main goal was to show future directors that deeply focused camera shots, shadows, askew angles, multiple action points, sound techniques borrowed from radio, and deeply focused shots worked in the favor of the production. Orson Welles didn t just impact the filming realm, but, by being an actor himself, showed that he possessed a very strong standpoint on what an ideal actor was. Orson said that, to him, acting was like a sculpture. It s what you take away from yourself to reveal the truth of what you re doing that makes a performance. A performance deserves to be considered great or important. It s always entirely made up of the actor itself and entirely achieved by what he has left in the dressing room before he came into the camera s view. There s no such thing as becoming another character by

Through Moses, the Israelite people were eventually granted access to leave their bonds in Egypt and begin the journey to their promised land. However, God s covenant with the Israelitesis extremely conditional. No other forces may be worshipped other than the true God, and everyone must follow the Ten Commandments, as well as trusting in Mosesand his words. Those who did not follow directions were usually treated to a plague, widely seen throughout Exodus 7 12, when the Pharaoh refused to let the Israelites go during God s words via Moses. This continued on through the entire passage to the promised land. When
  • 10. My Personal Past Experience When I think of my own personal past experiences, I think of the most significant events and most likely think that those are the times that have shaped you as who you are today and who you are in the future. When my grandpa had passed away there were major effects that my family and I had faced. Difficulties like not being able to sleep at night and having lost someone who meant something special to everyone. When I think about the smaller challenges I have faced in the pastand throughout my life, I can start to put together that even the most insignificant events that have happened in the past could make a significant impact on the person I am in my near or far future. Occurrences like going through broken bones, losing friends, or even a gym teacher might have a greater force than I may have expected. In kindergarten I decided that I was going to run to the playground to start a game that would be the highlight of the day. I ran up the stairs and onto the bridge but, suddenly my legs had decided to give out on me and I landed with my hands on the bridge with my thumb stuck in one of the small holes on the bridge. I didn t think my finger was stuck so as a normal child would do I stood up really fast and accidently ripped my thumb out of the bridge. It immediately snapped and my thumb started to swell and turn a variety of deep blues, purples, and blacks. This turned into a horrible mother and daughter 4 hour trip to the ER waiting in pain, trying to seek out what had
  • 11. A Brief Note On The Global Nursing Shortage Essay Nurses occupy a central role in the delivery of health care in all countries though countries have different health care systems and methods of payment options. Unfortunately research on the nursing experience carried out in some countries has indicated high levels of job dissatisfaction, burnout and intention to leave the profession. Many countries are facing nursing shortages, worsened by the fact that richer nations are luring nurses away from poorer ones, and that the nursing profession has lost popularity among younger women and men as a career option (Burke et al., 2012). The global nursing shortageis resulting in the need to find multiple solutions to providing adequate numbers of nursing personnel. The shortage is exacerbated by nurses leaving the profession and their current positions. Globally, nursing turnover rates range from 10 21% per year, with countries such as the USA and Australia reporting turnover rates of over 20% per year. Retaining nurses in their current positions will reduce the magnitude of consequences associated with the nursing shortage (Cowden and Cummings, 2012). Definition Turnover is defined as job movement within and across organizational boundaries, as well as by a variety of cognitive activities that preceded leaving. Turnover intention refers to employees thoughts of quitting their present job. Employees may choose to withdraw either physically or psychologically. One physical form of withdrawal is to quit

At that time, both of the United State and the Soviet Union was trying to be the leader of the world. So the biggest two countries started the Cold War. They were competing in all the fields to prove that one of them should be the best of the world. Inside the Soviet Union, the government suspected the United State would send spies and steal their secrets. So they set a security committee named KGB. The committee tried to surveille everyone in the society in case that the spies pretend to be normal citizens. Also, the government encouraged people to report others who are suspected to be spies. Syme, who helps to write the Newspeak dictionary, once says there won t be any thought after it finishes. Orthodoxy is unconsciousness (56). By eliminating feelings and language, the government can easily control people s mind and their memory. There s another important dogma of the party: Who controls the past controls the future. Who controls the present controls the past (320). And, as O Brien says, the past only exists in records and people s mind. Now the Big Brother takes charge of both, so he controls everything. Things he can t control, like stars, sun and gravity, he sometimes just claims it doesn t exist. Doublethink is the best solution. Controlling the past and the present, the government is

Fairly decentralized relationships and investments in business partners located across the world have impacted KO s balance sheet. The fourth quarter of 2014 carried a $32 million loss because owners of a majority interest in one of the company s bottling partners from Brazil decided to exercise their option to acquire a 10% interest in the Brazilian entity s outstanding shares. This loss was exacerbated by the fact that the exercise price was lower than the company s carrying value. Furthermore, during the first half of 2015, KO recorded a $19 million loss from a failing investment in a South African bottling partner. Moreover, an unspecified dollar amount that was eroded by inefficiencies in the production process did not provide an incentive to improve production. Some art was commissioned by the monarchy to spread their values and beliefs, and some art helped to inspire change among the people of France to destroy the monarchy. This relationship between the two was very dynamic, and it can t truly be unanimously stated that one influenced the other more. To depict a fallen soldier of the monarch showed that they weren t immortal as the King was still somewhat seen as a man of holiness. They also didn t name Tennessee because it was mostly back to the Union by then. Most slaves where not let go immediately but the Act freed thousands of slaves. Lincoln thought people would think that the Emancipation Proclamation would be only temporary due to the war and be soon forgotten. So what Abraham did is he made the 13Th Amendment. The 13Th Amendment stated that slavery was illegal to all states, and also that it is illegal to make people work against their will to benefit themselves, which is called involuntary servitude. The C.S.A collapsed when generals Robert E.Lee and Joesph E. Johnston surrendered their armies over to the Union. When you work hard and get an earning from that, it is instinctive for most to want to keep that money, not give it away. This is the idea of the American Dream, when you pull yourself up from the bootstraps to give yourself the life you wanted. This competition does not only fall within individuals but companies as well. This competitiveness and desire to be the best is constantly stimulating the economy. When wealth is just handed out like Carnegie suggests, people will get lethargic and not work as hard, therefore not stimulating the

Prior to Siam joined the war the king Vajiravudh observed that Siam was geographically so remote from the war and he was rightly in thinking that it was wise for Siam to maintain strict and impartial neutrality. The reason behind this decision was due to the fact that there were danger signs of the threats to Siamese independence especially during the early years of the reign. As can be see from the last decade of nineteenth century Siam was the only independent country in the South East Asia that was surrounded by British and French colonies from east to west. The incident at Pak Nam , in 1893, in which French brought the gun boats from their colonies in Indo China to the Mae Nam and trained the guns on the King s Palace in Bangkok, were still fresh in the mine of people in Siam. • 25. The Two Franks and Their Architecture Essay Different architects have different styles because they are trying to get at different things. Architecture is not just about making something beautiful anymore, it is about trying to get across a set of ideas about how we inhabit space. Two of the most famous architects of the twentieth century, one from each side, the early part and the later part up until today each designed a museum with money donated by the Guggenheim foundation. One of these is in New York City, it was designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. The other is in bilbao, Spain, and it was designed by Frank Geary. I am only going to talk about the outside of Frank Geary s museum because I have never been there, and I have only seen pictures on the internet. This building is surprisingly attractive because the other building that we saw in class of his, his house in Santa Monica, had a great deal of ugliness, to use an official term. His house in Santa Monica was supposed to look unfinished, with an emphasis on the materials used in construction. This building, however, looks as if it has been wrapped in silver. It looks very futuristic, and angular, so it could be functional as a museum as a museum because people will know it holds modern art. I like the way that it catches reflections, almost mirroring the surrounding buildings. So, in these two examples we see very different approaches to architecture. One has an impressive inside and the other one has an appealing outside. Also, both seem to be departures for the architects from their normal modes Wright s building doesn t blend in with nature, and Geary s doesn t look deconstructed into small parts. Now if only they could has worked together on one project, then we would have a museum that would be perfect inside and out. The Falling Water House that was built by Frank Lloyd Wright is an embodiment of organic architecture. It has a stone face that was the same tonal feeling of the rock that surrounds the building. A society where you were told who to marry, and you knew you were doing it for the money. This type of conformity is based on marxism, or the analysis of social and class relations using a materialistic interpretation. Elizabeth Bennet is a main character, a daughter, and a sister in the book whom is trying to find a husband and a future estate. She breaks the societal norm when she abruptly turns down a proposal from a man of much fortune, Mr. Darcy, by saying, From the very beginning, from the first moment I may almost say, of my acquaintance with you, your manners, impressing me with the fullest belief of your arrogance, your conceit, and your selfish disdain of the feelings of others, were such as to form that ground work of disapprobation, on which succeeding events have built so immovable a dislike; and I had not known you a month before I felt that you were the last man in the world whom I could ever be prevailed on to marry (Ch. 34). In the article about Jane s life, the author states, Feminine action is contracted by numberless difficulties, that there are no impediments of masculine exertion (pg.2), in other words stating that a woman almost never has a right to disapprove someone in the way Austen wrote of Elizabeth to Darcy in his proposal. This proves that Austen was mocking the normality, and trying to focus the reader on feminism (advocacy of women s rights), and the resistance against conformity ( marxism ). Jane Austen also portrays feminism through the character Lydia Bennet, another daughter/sister in the Bennet family who needs to marry in order to find money and a place to live. Although dominated by white Anglo Saxon sociocultural patterns, American culture is in fact a tapestry woven of diverse threads that include Native American, Hispanic, Asian and African traditions, as well as those of European origin (Craven, 2003, p. 529). America is often described as the melting pot; the concept of culture is formulated around the notion of many subcultures inside one larger nation in which, the melting pot has not merely melted; it has cooked a broth with an unmistakable favor of its own (Perry, 1949, p. 357). Many painters took up the plight of those who were not sharing fully in the American dream (Craven, 2003, p. 564). Evidence of this is in the visual images throughout the course of American history of what the overall ideology of American culture summarizes enabling one to perceive what Americans daily lives were like in the past, how it is seen now in the present, and what it may reflect in the future. The African American artist Robert Gwathmey (1903 88) painted pictures of the social injustices meted out to blacks to keep them in poverty (Craven, 2003, p. 546). He captured the true aesthetics of the African American culture and what dreams/aspirations they hoped to achieve, even portraying the struggle of their adversities. Both the poem and the song are tales of a lost loved one that they cannot get over, leading them in a direction that can be determined by reading them. However, it is a challenge to achieve this goal especially in a short story, but that did not seem to be an obstacle for Stephen King, who is famous for writing horror fiction stories. Jeffrey W. Hunter, who is editor of Contemporary Literacy Criticism, believes that Stephen King is a marketing phenomenon for the large number of books he has sold. One of his first works was Strawberry Spring, which was published along with other short stories in a book titled Night Shift in 1978. Numerical Weather Prediction Essay People predict weather differently; barometer, now casting and observing weather conditions by looking at the sky are just some of methods or examples that can be used to predict the future weather. In this essay Numerical Weather Prediction will be described using the primitive equations, and then the difference between the short term and climate forecasts will be distinguished. Numerical Weather Predictionmodel uses the primitive equations to predict future weather based on the present weather conditions. There are five different primitive equations that are being used to predict the weather, Wind forecast equation, it is the equation of motion that explains the movement of air masses in the atmosphere, the continuity equation deals with the rising of warm, wet air and sinking of cold dry air as the air columns shrinks and stretches, and then according to Tyson Preston Whyte(2000:342) the temperature forecast equation helps the climatologists and meteorologists to see that, there is local changes in temperature because of the horizontal advection of temperature and there is also changes in distribution of heat when the adiabatic latent heat is added to the earth surface and the atmosphere, moisture forecast equation shows that when condensation, precipitation and evaporation occurs, ... The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (n.d.) declared that One in six black men had been incarcerated as of 2001. Petrella (2012) also notes that The school to prison pipeline disproportionally targets youth of color and youth with disabilities for incarceration, as school policies may isolate them from their peer groups through expulsion, suspension, ineffective retention policies, transfers and high stakes testing requirements. There is a direct connection between being African American and lack of education because of learning difficulties that are not being addressed or missing school because of suspension or expulsion. The perception of being doomed from the start can directly interfere with motivation and drive towards a better future. Nittle (n.d.) notes that Racism in the United States would not have thrived if institutions hadn t perpetuated discrimination. The despair of defeat at an early age is hard to crawl out of, without the added pressure of race. Disparities show up in the workplace and not just in the education system. Nesbit (2015) states In the workplace, black college graduates are twice as likely as whites to struggle to find jobs the jobless rate for blacks has been double that of whites for decades. This means that multiple difficulties stand in the way of the average Black person being successful. With few jobs available and when faced with the seemingly impossible pursuit of making a living, an instantaneous income can seem appealing. Instant money through illegal

With the lack of crops and money coming in, banks and bigger industries started to buy the land that sharecroppers lived on for very cheap and lacked compassion while kicking the families out of their homes. These social injustices continued to happen throughout the movie and at the end of the film, Tom tells Ma that he is going away to fight against all of the unfair policies. Family Themes In Huckleberry Finn The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn Theme: Family Mark Twain s The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn is a classical novel that contains numerous themes and ideas. Alongside the themes of freedom, race, rules, religion, and deceit lies the most important theme throughout the entire story; family. Throughout the novel, Huckleberry Finn battles with whether or not family supports and builds you up or if it orders you around and tears down your ambitions. One quote that perfectly describes this concept was spoken by Aishwarya Rai Bachan who stated that, my family is my strength and my weakness. (Bachan 1). Family is a theme that constantly emerges in Huckleberry Finn, one that is constantly getting re defined: from the Shepherdson and Grangerford feud, to Huck living with Miss Watson and Widow Douglas, to Huck discovering a father figure in Jim. The Shepherdson and Grangerford feud altered Huck s perspective about the definition of family. Huck s first interaction with the Grangerfords gives him the impression that Widow Douglas assessment of the Col. and his family were correct. The Grangerfords were kind, caring, wealthy and well respected. They are very hospitable towards Huck. Despite owning hundreds of slaves and servants the Grangerfords are practically a perfect family, especially for this time period. However, when Buck talks about the feud it changes his perspective. Well, says Buck, a feud is this way: A man has a quarrel with another man, and kills him; then that

Health care identity theft dominated all other crimes in the sector last year, according to Louis Saccoccio, executive director of the National Health Care Anti Fraud Association (NHCAA), an advocacy group whose members include insurers, law enforcement and regulatory agencies (Kavilanz, 2010). Groups of organized criminals are hacking into the digital databases of healthcare organizations so that they can take money from the Medicare system, which means that the government is actually the sole largest victim of health care fraud, according to the FBI (Kavilanz, 2010). The scope and vastness of such crimes truly impact everyone. The money that is stolen not only undermines the integrity of the healthcare system as whole, but is taken away from organizations and individuals who truly need it to help people fight fatal diseases, to help them overcome chronic conditions, to put them back to work and reunite them with their families. In 2007, when the campaigning began, social networks were still fresh and the government had not yet used it to their advantage. President Obama was able to connect social networking applications to raise money, organize locally, fight smear campaigns and get out the vote to help them topple the other candidates. It all was pretty simple, posting updates on Facebook and tweeting reminders to vote. Through that strategy he was able to create an enormous database of supporters and followers that Presidents before had never experienced or had even thought to develop. Because their appearance doesn t look like millionaires, they do not act like millionaires, they do not eat like millionaires, neither do they dress like millionaires, and they do not even have millionaire names. Then where are the millionaires who look like millionaires then? Being wealthy, affluent, or being prosperous is not defined in terms of physical properties. On the contrary, those people we term as being affluent get much more longing from possessing sizeable quantities of significant properties, than from showing a high ingesting way of life. In this book, it is well defined that the starting point (verge) of being wealthy is possessing a net value of $1,000,000 or even more. Centered on this description, only 3.5 million (3.5 percent) of 100 million families in America are referred to as wealthy. Roughly 95% of millionaires in America have a net worth between $1,000,000 and $10,000,000. A large quantity of the discussion in this book centers on this section of the population. This group is being focused on because this level of wealth can be achieved in one generation and by many Americans. 2. Frugal Frugal
