detailed explaination:
"zero energy cool chambers" (ZECCs), are a type of evaporative cooler, which are simple and inexpensive ways to keep vegetables fresh without the use of electricity. Evaporation of water from a surface removes heat, creating a cooling effect, which can improve vegetable storage shelf life. ECCs are relatively large compared to the more common household clay pot cooler, and are therefore most suitable for farmers with large production quantities, farming groups, or farming cooperatives.
This presentation highlights the overview and subsidiaries of the agro and food processing sector in India & Gujarat. It details the major initiatives taken up by the government in terms of policies as well as infrastructure to promote industries and investments in the sector.

The coconut is known for its great versatility as seen in the many uses of its different parts and found throughout tropics and subtopics. Coconuts are different from any other fruits because they contain a large quantity of “water” and when immature they are known as tender- nuts or jelly- nuts and may be harvested for drinking. When mature, they still contain some water and can be used as seed nuts or processed to give oil from kernel, charcoal from the hard shell and coir from the fibrous husk.

Baking Science with Formulation & Production. Book on Bakery Products (4th Revised Edition)
About the Book
Baking, referred to as the oldest form of cooking, is used for producing everyday products like bread, cakes, pastries, pies, cookies, and donuts. These products are prepared using various ingredients like grain-based flour, water and leavening agents. They are considered fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) and are consumed daily. Owing to their palatability, appearance and easily digestible nature, they are highly preferred for both formal and informal occasions. Nowadays, most traditional baking methods have been replaced by modern machines. This shift has enabled manufacturers to introduce innovative bakery products with different ingredients, flavors, shapes and sizes. The book is invaluable reading for those starting their own baking business or any baker looking to improve their existing business in order to increase profits.

Production of Rice Bran Oil with Rice Mill and Captive Power Plant (Integrated Unit). Business Opportunities in Rice Processing Industry
Rice, edible starchy cereal grain and the plant by which it is produced. Roughly one-half of the world population, including virtually all of East and Southeast Asia, is wholly dependent upon rice as a staple food; 95 percent of the world’s rice crop is eaten by humans.
Rice is the most important cereal food crop of India, occupying one-fourth of the gross cropped area of the country. As the basic food crop, rice is cultivated comfortably in hot and humid climate. In the country, the crop is mainly grown as a Kharif crop in rain fed areas that receive heavy annual rainfall.
Rice is the most important staple food crop in India. It provides food for 65% of the population in India. The crop occupies about 37 % of the total cropped area and 44% of the total production of food grains in India. West Bengal is the leading producer of paddy in the country. It accounts for 16.39% of the total production, and the other leading states are Uttar Pradesh (13.38%), Andhra Pradesh (12.24%), Punjab (9.47%), Orissa (7.68%) and Tamil Nadu (7.38%); the remaining states account for 33.45% of the production.

Processing of Milk and Milk Products. Production of Paneer, Butter and Ghee. Investment Opportunities in Dairy Sector
Milk is a valuable nutritious food that has a short shelf-life and requires careful handling. Milk is highly perishable because it is an excellent medium for the growth of microorganisms – particularly bacterial pathogens – that can cause spoilage and diseases in consumers. Milk processing allows the preservation of milk for days, weeks or months and helps to reduce food-borne illness.
The usable life of milk can be extended for several days through techniques such as cooling (which is the factor most likely to influence the quality of raw milk) or fermentation. Pasteurization is a heat treatment process that extends the usable life of milk and reduces the numbers of possible pathogenic microorganisms to levels at which they do not represent a significant health hazard.

Ready meals in India, growing from a small base of sales, are gaining popularity because of convenience, the availability of offerings providing the authentic taste of Indian dishes and availability across all retail channels. Traditional Indian meals such as poha, upma, biriyani, dal chawal and many others are the most popular and highly consumed dishes which are available in single-portion and family-portion sizes in ready meals formats across retail outlets. These dishes provide alternative meal solutions as they eliminate the hassle of long hours of cooking and the need for cooking aids, thus proving effective for students, the working classes and mainly people who have been skipping meals due to time constraints in their busy work schedules.

Epistemic Interaction - tuning interfaces to provide information for AI supportAlan Dix
Paper presented at SYNERGY workshop at AVI 2024, Genoa, Italy. 3rd June 2024
https://alandix.com/academic/papers/synergy2024-epistemic/
As machine learning integrates deeper into human-computer interactions, the concept of epistemic interaction emerges, aiming to refine these interactions to enhance system adaptability. This approach encourages minor, intentional adjustments in user behaviour to enrich the data available for system learning. This paper introduces epistemic interaction within the context of human-system communication, illustrating how deliberate interaction design can improve system understanding and adaptation. Through concrete examples, we demonstrate the potential of epistemic interaction to significantly advance human-computer interaction by leveraging intuitive human communication strategies to inform system design and functionality, offering a novel pathway for enriching user-system engagements.

How can businesses survive in a world where Artificial Intelligence is becoming the present as well as the future of technology, and how does the Metaverse fit into business strategy when futurist ideas are developing into reality at accelerated rates? How do we do this when our data isn't up to scratch? How can we move towards success with our data so we are set up for the Metaverse when it arrives?
How can you help your company evolve, adapt, and succeed using Artificial Intelligence and the Metaverse to stay ahead of the competition? What are the potential issues, complications, and benefits that these technologies could bring to us and our organizations? In this session, Jen Stirrup will explain how to start thinking about these technologies as an organisation.
Removing Uninteresting Bytes in Software FuzzingAftab Hussain
Imagine a world where software fuzzing, the process of mutating bytes in test seeds to uncover hidden and erroneous program behaviors, becomes faster and more effective. A lot depends on the initial seeds, which can significantly dictate the trajectory of a fuzzing campaign, particularly in terms of how long it takes to uncover interesting behaviour in your code. We introduce DIAR, a technique designed to speedup fuzzing campaigns by pinpointing and eliminating those uninteresting bytes in the seeds. Picture this: instead of wasting valuable resources on meaningless mutations in large, bloated seeds, DIAR removes the unnecessary bytes, streamlining the entire process.
In this work, we equipped AFL, a popular fuzzer, with DIAR and examined two critical Linux libraries -- Libxml's xmllint, a tool for parsing xml documents, and Binutil's readelf, an essential debugging and security analysis command-line tool used to display detailed information about ELF (Executable and Linkable Format). Our preliminary results show that AFL+DIAR does not only discover new paths more quickly but also achieves higher coverage overall. This work thus showcases how starting with lean and optimized seeds can lead to faster, more comprehensive fuzzing campaigns -- and DIAR helps you find such seeds.

13. Indian scenario:
Bakery is one of the largest segments of the food processing
industry in india having annual turnover of approximately US$
900 million.
The Indian bakery sector is one of the biggest sections in the
country’s processed food sector.
Bakery products, which include bread and biscuits, form the
major baked foods accounting for over 82 per cent of the total
bakery products produced in the country.
There are total about 2 million bakeries in india. The total
bakery production is estimated at 1.5 million metric tonnes in
bread.
The Bread market is estimated to be growing at around 7% per
annum in volume. The bread industry has a production of
approximately 27 lakh tonnes.
15. Organised and unorganised bread players contribute around 40
per cent and 60 per cent of the total bread production, respectively.
The organised sector comprises around 1,800 small-scale bread
manufactures around India, 25 medium-scale manufacturers and
two large-scale industries.
The branded packaged segment in this sector was estimated to be
worth Rs 17,000 crore in 2012, and is expected to grow at 13-15 per
cent in the next three to four years.
The bread and cake market is much more fragmented, with
multiple regional and local players.
India’s organised bakery sector produces about 1.3 millions
tonne of bakery products (out of three million tonnes) while the
balance is produced by unorganised, small-scale local
manufacturers.
16. The unorganised bread sector comprises an estimated
75,000 bread bakers, mostly located in the residential areas of
cities and towns.
Thirty-five per cent of the total production comes from the
small scale sector, with about 1,500-1,800 units in operation.
As the bread industry is a low-margin business, cost control is
crucial in sustaining profitability in the long run.
17. Major players in this sector:
The major players in the bread segment are Britannia and
Modern Industries Ltd, who hold about 90 per cent of the
market share includes Britannia and Modern Industries Ltd.
Apart from these two, there are a few large regional
players, such as Spencer’s in South India, Kitty and Bonn in
Punjab and Harvest Gold and Perfect in Delhi and the
National Capital Region (NCR).

22. The supply chain of bread market:
Direct sales: This consists of direct distribution of products by
manufacturers to organized retail segments like supermarkets,
departmentalstores, etc. and sometimes directly to the end consumers.
Indirect sales: This channel entails distribution of the product by
manufacturer through various middlemen like wholesalers, distributorsto
the front end sellers like retailers, hotels, restaurants, etc.
As bread is a highly perishable item with a shelf life of only 2-3 days, it
needs to be distributed within 40 hours of manufacturing. The industry
needs to have a strong distribution network including various middlemen
and suppliers to reach every corner of the country.
Bread manufacturing is volume driven and low margin industry with an
disadvantage of very low shelf life of products which then requires very robust
supply chain management to deliver fresh bread to consumer daily.
