• Allows you to upload and share powerpoint

google
• Slideshows work brilliantly on tablets, phones and
audience don’t need powerpoint to view
• Users don’t have to login to view your show
• Shows can be embedded or linked to on Moodle

• There are more videos on youtube than TV has
produced since its invention
• It is possible to download videos from you tube but this is
getting harder to do
• Youtube works great on a smartphone with a 3g signal
• Most smart phones can record video, and then upload it
directly to youtube

• Allows you to record what you are doing on your pc

• Ideal for demos (how to use Moodle, how to use

• Basically these are virtual pin boards that you can
add web based content
• Good for sharing websites, videos and other
resources – very visual
• Other people can add to your board in you want
them too
• Users can leave comments

• Allows you to type in keywords about a subject and
tweets will appear on screen in real time
• Students can add their own opinion by using their
mobile phone
• Good way to view opinion about current issues or
subjects
• You don’t need a twitter account to use it

• Allows you to present a powerpoint online, with a
video of you actually presenting the powerpoint
• You do need a laptop or pc with a web cam
• With the free account you can create 3
presentation a month

16. Points to remember
• Majority of students have smart phones on them
which can access websites from any location
• Students want the information in an instant – usually
without logging in –students forget their login when
they need it the most
• A teachers own blog can still be linked from Moodle
• Email is becoming less important to students – text,
Facebook and sites they know are ways they are
now communicate and interact
