Patient care is an important indicator of the
quality of care and service delivery in the
emergency department (ED)
 To evaluate patient satisfaction with the
Emergency Department.
 Help the docter to reach with in the golden
hours of the patient witout wasting time.
 Doctors are urgently required in the ED for
critically ill patients
 There is various ways to inform the doctors
regarding the patients condition in ED
 This interaction is very important in nature
for patient safety and care
 SMS is a new communication way in
hospital for critical call and consult request
to the doctor
1. AUTOMATED SMS
Types Of Manual SMS
 Type-1:- “Needs Review urgently of the
Patient whose Tcno is:.... , Reach ED Stat”
 Type-2:-Patient Deteriorated, Reach Stat
,No of Sms(s) have been already sent for the
Patient whose Tcno is:” CT done.
METHODOLOGY
 (http://172.16.23.28/jpnatced.com/sms.aspx)
 Easy to reminder for the Doctor
 Higher accountability if a doctor fails to
review a patient as there is proof that SMS alert was
sent from the system.
 Nurse can also send these SMS
 Nurse dont have to run around looking for the
doctor
 SMS can also be send to senior doctors, if the
informed doctors is not reaching on time.
 SMS is send to their personel number
 Doctors get irritated with the repeated SMS
 Short message service showed that to provide
optimal and fast ED service for saving the
golden hours of the patients benefits and
record & report data for the further refrence
for doctors.

USING SMS SYSTEM FOR INFORMING DOCTORS REGARDING PATIENTS STATUS

  • 2. Patient care is an important indicator of the quality of care and service delivery in the emergency department (ED)
  • 3.  To evaluate patient satisfaction with the Emergency Department.  Help the docter to reach with in the golden hours of the patient witout wasting time.
  • 4.  Doctors are urgently required in the ED for critically ill patients  There is various ways to inform the doctors regarding the patients condition in ED  This interaction is very important in nature for patient safety and care  SMS is a new communication way in hospital for critical call and consult request to the doctor
  • 6. Types Of Manual SMS  Type-1:- “Needs Review urgently of the Patient whose Tcno is:.... , Reach ED Stat”  Type-2:-Patient Deteriorated, Reach Stat ,No of Sms(s) have been already sent for the Patient whose Tcno is:” CT done.

  • 13.  Easy to reminder for the Doctor  Higher accountability if a doctor fails to review a patient as there is proof that SMS alert was sent from the system.  Nurse can also send these SMS  Nurse dont have to run around looking for the doctor  SMS can also be send to senior doctors, if the informed doctors is not reaching on time.
  • 14.  SMS is send to their personel number  Doctors get irritated with the repeated SMS
  • 15.  Short message service showed that to provide optimal and fast ED service for saving the golden hours of the patients benefits and record & report data for the further refrence for doctors.
