Education is replete with legacy SIS systems which are typically inflexible and structured in complex/confusing manners. As a school made up of multiple campuses with ever changing programs and course offerings, were concerned about finding an SIS that could meet our changing business requirements. Add to this we had a diminishing number of people who knew exactly how our old SIS functioned, especially with the workarounds and shortcuts that were required to accommodate changes at our school. In replacing our SIS with salesforce, we now have a system that can align with our changing business processes and requirements. This has instantly improved some of our administrative difficulties and most manual processes. It has also given us new insights into some of our practices and ways in which we were misallocating resources. Finally, this has all allowed us to give better real time advising to students and proactively flag issues as they arise. We know we will be growing and changing as a school. We finally are on a system that will make improvements and solve some of our current administrative problems as well as can be flexible enough to accommodate what the future has in store.
