QUESTION FOUR
Using Adobe Photoshop.
STEP ONE:
Firstly, I had to open Adobe Photoshop and
start a new project. I was able to change the
page size and style of the page (e.g.
Colour, black and white, or grey) so I kept the
style as colour and changed the page size so
it was equivalent to an portrait A4 (297 x 210
                                           mm) page.

This is the A4 page I opened to begin my
editing on Photoshop.
STEP TWO:

I then opened the image I wanted
to Photoshop. I chose to use
Photoshop as I can easily edit the
photo to the standard that I want. I
            have previously used Photoshop
so I knew what I was doing when
it came to removing the green
            background and editing the photo.

I chose to use this photo of Kieran
as he is looking smug and his
            facial expression and attitude
            reflects the personality of the
            character.
STEP THREE:

Next, I used the magic eraser tool
              to remove the green background.
This was a simple task as I
already knew what I was doing
and it got rid of the background in
a few simple clicks of the mouse.
              Removing this background
enabled me to do the same for the
rest of my characters so that I
could put them all together on my
              front cover and billboard.
STEP FIVE:

             I decided to create my
             billboard through Photoshop
as it was easier for me to
             position everything this way.
             Once I had photo-shopped
all my actors I then placed
them all on one page and re-
sized them to how I wanted
             them to appear on my
             billboard.
STEP SIX:

I then added the text using the
small icon ‘T’ to anchor the text
            over my stars.
I also added the E4 logo by
doing the same thing as the
            actors and taking away the
background. I then put on the
            institution website to make my
            billboard look professional and
            too create a strong brand
            identity.
STEP SEVEN:

Lastly, for my billboard I used the
Union Jack flag from Google and
placed it in the background of my
work. This was simple as I just
copied and pasted it in and then
dragged it too layer one to make
              it go behind everything else.
STEP EIGHT:

For my magazine front cover, I
saved the images as a JPEGs so
I could then open them in
              Microsoft Publisher along with to
begin to create my magazine front
              cover and my final billboard.
