This document discusses modal and SEOM verbs in English. It defines modal and SEOM verbs as verb auxiliaries that add additional meaning to ordinary verbs. It lists common modal verbs like can, will, must, should, and may/might and their meanings. It provides rules for using modal verbs, such as modal verbs must be followed by a bare infinitive verb and two modal verbs in a sentence should use one as a SEOM verb. An exercise is provided as examples.
