This document provides instructions for adding published works to an ORCID iD by using the CrossRef integration. It explains that users can scroll down to the "Works" section, click "Link Works", select "CrossRef Metadata Search", authorize CrossRef to access the ORCID account, search for works by title or metadata, and add any search results to the ORCID profile directly from CrossRef. The library also offers to help add works to ORCID records on behalf of users who provide a publication list and permission to modify their ORCID information.

1. Using CrossRef to add
works to your ORCID iD

2. Adding the details of your
published works to ORCID
using the CrossRef
integration is simple

3. Scroll down to “Works”,
and click on the “Link
Works” button

4. In the pop-up
window, click on
“CrossRef Metadata
Search”

5. Select “Authorize” to give
the CrossRef system
permission to make
changes to your ORCID
account

6. Search for your published works
by title or other metadata
When you have found an article
you have authored, click the “Add
to ORCID” link

7. Confirm the addition to
your ORCID iD

8. The record will now be
displayed as being in your
ORCID profile
Repeat for all of your other
publications

9. Works that you add in this way
will now be displayed in your
ORCID record

your ORCID account on your behalf
• You will need to delegate to us the ability to
modify your ORCID record, and you will also
need to provide us with a list of your
publications
