This document discusses how Elsevier products integrate with ORCID to help researchers build and promote their ORCID profiles throughout the research lifecycle. It provides details on how ORCID profiles are incorporated in Elsevier's publishing, search and discovery, and research intelligence tools. Key points include gathering ORCIDs during manuscript submission, depositing ORCIDs in Crossref metadata, linking Scopus author profiles to ORCIDs, and enabling Pure users to link their profiles and automatically update ORCID records.
An generic overview of ORCID geared toward researchers. Incorporate these slides into your existing presentations or use as-is to encourage scholars and researchers to claim their own ORCID iDs.

Panel on ORCID integrations by publishersORCID, Inc
Connecting Research and Researchers: How ORCID is Facilitating the Interoperable Exchange of Information, presented at the annual meeting of the Society for Scholarly Publishing, 30 May 2014.
ABSTRACT:
The publishing community has been an early and enthusiastic adopter of the work of ORCID, an independent non-profit organization with a twofold mission: to provide an open registry of unique identifiers for researchers, and to work with the scholarly community to ensure that this persistent identifier is embedded in research workflows. ORCID serves as a hub, linking existing identifiers, such as CrossRef and DataCite DOIs, ISNI organizational identifiers, and author identifiers including ResearcherId and ScopusAuthor ID with the ultimate goal of connecting researchers with their contributions. This session will provide an opportunity to learn about the status of ORCID integration into manuscript submission and production systems, into reviewer workflows, into conference systems, and into repositories and evaluation systems. A panel of experts from diverse publishing will provide practical examples and best practices for how the scholarly communications community is using ORCID.

Google for "research life cycle" and you'll find a million images. Everyone has their own cycle, not all of them compatible. In this talk I argue that we need to move from a cycle conception of research information flows towards one based on networks. ResearcherID (researcherid.com) provides the global, multi-disciplinary scholarly research community with an invaluable index to accurate author identification and information. By assigning a unique identifier to each author who participates, ResearcherID expressly associates each researcher with his or her published work – standardizing and clarifying author names and citations and making information searches more straightforward and relevant.
Bollini, Andrea, Lombardi, Corrado, Digilio, Giuseppe, Giamminonni, Luca, & Mornati, Susanna. (2022, June 7). DSpace 7 ORCID Integration. Open Repositories 2022 (OR2022), Denver, Colorado. Zenodo. https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.6733036
The relevance and benefits of the ORCID persistent identifiers in the research ecosystem are increasingly evident. Nowadays users expect a good integration between the repository platform and ORCID with a bidirectional exchange of information. Unfortunately, up to now DSpace was lacking in this regard except for a very minor and limited integration allowing the submitter to query the ORCID public registry during the deposit. On the other hand, the cousin project DSpace-CRIS has featured a full integration [3] since 2014 at the time of the ORCID v1.2 API and based on a version 4 of DSpace.
Since the release of DSpace 7, the DSpace governance has been encouraging a progressive merge of these projects, backporting from DSpace-CRIS the most user-demanded features.
As a result, the DSpace 7.3 release plan includes the porting of the core ORCID integration [2], enabling DSpace users to finally connect their local DSpace profiles with ORCID, showing an authenticated ORCID badge where appropriate and pushing DSpace records to their ORCID profiles.
The presentation will show in detail the functionalities now available, the requirements to enable them in terms of ORCID membership and DSpace configuration, and the plans to bring more ORCID-related features to DSpace.
ORCID for funders webinar - Josh Brown 8 March 2017ARDC
Funders play a critical role, along with universities and publishers, in building and supporting the infrastructure to support open research. Major funders, such as the European Commission, agree that persistent identifiers for people and works are necessary components of this infrastructure. ORCID provides researchers the tools to link their ORCID iD to their funding awards and a growing number of funders are integrating ORCID identifiers into grants application and post-award reporting workflows or are planning to do so. Using ORCID functionality helps to streamline reporting processes during grant application, and, after award, to enable outcomes reporting. This webinar is designed to connect funders who are integrating ORCID identifiers or are looking to do so.

This is a presentation by Dada Robert in a Your Skill Boost masterclass organised by the Excellence Foundation for South Sudan (EFSS) on Saturday, the 25th and Sunday, the 26th of May 2024.
He discussed the concept of quality improvement, emphasizing its applicability to various aspects of life, including personal, project, and program improvements. He defined quality as doing the right thing at the right time in the right way to achieve the best possible results and discussed the concept of the "gap" between what we know and what we do, and how this gap represents the areas we need to improve. He explained the scientific approach to quality improvement, which involves systematic performance analysis, testing and learning, and implementing change ideas. He also highlighted the importance of client focus and a team approach to quality improvement.

The French Revolution, which began in 1789, was a period of radical social and political upheaval in France. It marked the decline of absolute monarchies, the rise of secular and democratic republics, and the eventual rise of Napoleon Bonaparte. This revolutionary period is crucial in understanding the transition from feudalism to modernity in Europe.
