This document outlines a presentation about using blogs to promote science literacy. The presentation covers what blogs are, why they should be used, goals of an educational blog, and how to set one up. Safety tips are provided for student and teacher blogs. Students would blog about biology topics, comment on posts, and interact with scientists. Blogs could improve science literacy and allow students' work to be shared widely. Guidelines aim to protect students' identities and school information online.
