3. The Selection Tool
• Before you can make to images in
Photoshop you need to select it first.
Before you can get particular object
from an image and transfer it to
another image, you need to select
the object first.

4. To select the whole image
• On the Menu bar, click select and click all

6. To select a part of an image
• On the tools panel, click any of the selection
tools available.
• Click the area that you want to select.

8. The Marquee Tools
• 1. • Click the marquee tool
• Drag it to create a selection in an image,
either be in rectangular or elliptical shape.

• Used for selection of specified area
in an image
• Click the Lasso Tool
• Click your mouse on any part of the
object and drag to create any
shape you want

• Magic Wand
• Quick Selection tool

• You can use magic wand if the
background of an image is
clearly defined. High color
contrast is ideal for using color
to select objects.

14. Quick Selection tool
• the easiest way to create
a selection. However, to
be able to use this tool
effectively , the color
background and the
object should be clearly
define.

15. Selecting the background Color
1. Import an image
2. Create new file from the file and click
New.
3. On the tools panel, click the
foreground/background, select any
color u want.
4. Click the paint bucket tool and click it to
the canvas to fill it with color

16. • Drag the image you have imported into
canvas.
