How do we see the healthcare's digital future and its impact on our lives?Jane Vita
"Healthcare is undergoing major changes spurred on by, but not limited to, technology.
Digitalisation is changing the way we think about health, what taking care of it really entails, our personal role in healthcare systems and the way we interact with technology in the context of health.
In many ways, we are entering a post-institutional age of increased personal responsibility, which presents healthcare service providers and other players in the field with major opportunities and great risks. Technology has the potential to empower people and help them become more active in the management of their and their families’ health. This will change the relationship of the patient and the caregiver in profound ways." Mirkka Länsisalo

Before 2020, remote working was a limited but growing practice in many French companies. The Covid-19 crisis forced many of them to partly remove the prejudices they could still have about working at home. A new era is beginning…
This book intends to raise the question of remote working beyond the pandemic episode and what it teaches us. It outlines the future of work in the light of this unprecedented experience. Based on hearings with experts (sociologists, ergonomists, HR managers, local managers, etc.) and the review of academic studies and reports, it provides international benchmarks and points of attention for all entities that must redesign the organization of work and its balance: management, spaces, work time, digital tools, communication... The book brings to light debates that are not yet settled, such as the thorny question of eligibility for remote working and the potential inequalities of access, the expected productivity of remote working, its impact on social ties, trust, collaboration, innovation and creativity. It is indeed a hybrid work – on site and at a distance – that we need to prepare from today.
This study will be of interest to companies faced with these organizational and managerial transformations, and more particularly to HR, real estate departments, digital transformation departments, trade unionists and employee representatives, consultants, but also to all managers who are faced with these challenges on a daily basis.

The Bottom Line on Trust | Accenture Strategy Competitive Agility Index 2018accenture
In the not-too-distant past, trust was considered a “soft” corporate issue. Its connection to a company’s value, tenuous. Not anymore. New Accenture Strategy research quantifies the impact of trust on your company’s competitiveness. And bottom line. Trust is anything but soft.
To be competitive in today’s environment, companies need to execute a balanced strategy that prioritizes trust at the same level as growth and profitability. Those who do benefit from greater resiliency from trust incidents, making them more competitive. Those who don’t are putting billions in future revenue at risk.
Accenture Strategy found that more than half (54%) of the 7.030 companies we scored on our Competitive Agility Index experienced a material drop in trust, a key measure of competitiveness. Conservatively, those companies lost out on US$180 billion in potential revenues.
What if your company could quantify the potential negative impact of a trust incident on key measures of competitiveness: growth and profitability? Accenture Strategy can show you how.

It is also changing the way people work. Intuit and Emergent Research forecast that the number of people working on-demand jobs will grow from 3.2 million Americans to 7.6 million by 2020. This is a once in a generation opportunity to empower the future of work and a new face of entrepreneurship.
Dispatches from the New Economy: The On-Demand Workforce provides a detailed analysis of the demographics, motivations and challenges of workers pursuing on-demand jobs. The data comes from a study from Intuit and Emergent Research that examined people working via eleven on-demand economy and online talent marketplace companies. Study participants included: Deliv, Field Nation, HourlyNerd, MBO Partners, OnForce, Uber, Upwork (formerly Elance-oDesk), Visually, Wonolo, and Work Market.
Methodology
A total of 4,622 workers who find work opportunities via the platforms provided by the participating partner companies completed an online survey between September 11 and October 1, 2015. The results were weighted to reflect the proportion of workers in each of the following segments: Drivers/Delivery, Online Talent Marketplaces and Field Service/Onsite Talent. The weights were developed using earlier survey work that sized the on-demand economy. The largest weighted share of on-demand worker respondents from any single company is 16%, with most partner companies providing less than 10% of the respondents.

The Power of Technology to Transform
Our mission at Insigniam is to transform the world of business and the practice of management and leadership, unleashing the power of inspired human performance while catalyzing breakthrough results and remarkable value. The methods we utilize include breakthrough performance, cultural change, transformational leadership, and innovation within organizations — one way to do this swiftly and effectively can be by the adoption of well-conceived technology strategies. It’s also true that the ability to leverage these emerging technologies can be vitally dependent on how they are embraced by an organization’s culture.
With rapidly evolving technologies providing a new climate for potent organizational change, this issue of Insigniam Quarterly focuses on methods to meet these challenges and fundamentally alter the way business is done. The power of technology to transform can be realized in a number of areas that directly impact key organizational goals.
• Change brought about through technology requires you to think and behave differently, resulting in a big impact on a company’s manner of operating.
• Strong leadership is a prerequisite for a technology-driven transformation.
• Updates and changes in technology are essential for maintaining an
organization’s effectiveness.
• Disruptive leadership can give way to transformative technology initiatives, but
if not implemented properly, they can become disruptive in the wrong way.
• Relating back to the power of words and how people communicate, companies often overestimate technologies while underestimating the network of
conversations and relationships in their enterprises.
In this issue, we share stories of success and innovative thinking, starting with our
cover story on Suresh Vaswani and his efforts as president of Dell Services to drive technology-led transformations both for clients and within Dell. Hint: It’s all about merging the leadership of business strategy and corporate technology. The former CTO at growing online marketplace Angie’s List,Robert Wiseman provides industry- leading insights on how businesses either evolve or die from technology strategies.
Articles on Health 2.0 and the rapid implementation of mobile health care technology reveal opportunities for massive growth in that space. And on the subject of transformative change, we discuss the role of leaders in shaping the conversation around change so that employees can view it as a powerful opportunity.
While seizing this opportunity for transformation is frequently necessary to survive and thrive, not every emerging technology will prove to be a game changer. The key is continuing to look ahead — falling behind isn’t an option.

go remote stand to benefit most by going remote? Upwork's Cheif Economist, Adam Ozimek, explores these questions and finds that the potential commuting benefits of remote work are
significant across the U.S.
Remote work is undoubtedly on the rise, especially as companies adapt to the changing times of COVID-19, but what impact will this have on the broader economy? In this analysis, Upwork Chief Economist, Adam Ozimek, examines the potential for remote work to reshape the geography of opportunity in the U.S. Using a variety of data sources, we provide evidence that remote work is already helping to send economic activity from the top 15 most expensive parts of the country to less expensive parts. When this happens, we show that it can be mutually beneficial: higher earnings for independent professional’s than in their local labor markets and lower cost for businesses than in their local labor markets. In addition, both sides will likely benefit from a variety of under-discussed benefits beyond pay.

The surveys polled a combined 1,500 U.S. hiring managers to provide a holistic picture of workforce trends impacting business organizations. Find out how companies are building for the future.
Trends Watch: The Flexible Workforce (Tech Edition)Upwork
IT departments and agile dev teams face a conundrum. Tech is evolving fast and dev cycles are getting more iterative. But tech talent shortages are holding teams back—unless they know where to look. Here's a glance at the unique challenges web, mobile, and software teams face and how remote on-demand talent can help them cross the chasm.
In April 2020, Upwork published our first ever Annual Impact Report—articulating Upwork’s approach to assessing and managing critical environment, societal, and corporate governance focus areas while demonstrating our commitment to creating economic opportunities so people have better lives.
"Freelancing in America” is the most comprehensive study of the independent workforce. Commissioned by Upwork and Freelancers Union, the sixth annual study, which surveyed more than 6,000 U.S. workers over the age of 18, estimates that 57 million Americans freelance and that more people than ever see freelancing as a long-term career path. This year’s study also revealed that a 53% majority of Gen Z workers (ages 18-22) freelanced - the highest freelance participation rate of any age bracket since FIA’s 2014 launch.
