 poli[Format] is the Course Management System of the
Universitat Politècnica de València
 It is the biggest Sakai implementation in spanish. We
have more than 5000 undergraduate, graduate and
continuing education courses and more than 35000
users.

Youtube EDU (we have submitted the form 3 times
without answer)

let us develop MOOC courses fast.
 Google Course Builder is a good platform but some issues:
 Authoring interface
 Emailing
 Assessment security
 Student interface usability
 Google App Engine is cheap, easy and robust
 The neutral format gives us a lot of flexibility
 The ways of recognizing the teacher work have to be
worked on
 There is interest in paid academic online certification

Future
 OpenEdx platform opensourced by edX
 Powerful and with an international community around
 We are now migrating to it
 Installing it in own servers is complicated
 Mooc.org, Google, edX partnership ¿?
 We made a pilot paid certification on premises exam with
“Tecnologías Educativas” course. There were 80
interested in total (of 212 who completed the course), 25 in
Valencia. 12 took the exam
 We are going to make an online certification paid pilot
exam with the same course. More than 150 interested
