with the responsibility of managing and delivery of 40,000 housing
unit complete with infrastructure in Five new Towns and villages
(Almadina Alshamaliya, Eash Hidd Town , Siltra, Southern New
Town, Ramli etc) around Bahrain for the citizen of the Kingdom in
line with the vision 2030 development goal of the Kingdom of
Bahrain.
Contract and Commercial management of both infrastructure and
Housing in five New Town Development funded by Abudhabi Fund,
Kuwait Fund and Saudi fund pre and post contract management.
Liaison with all the Funding Authorities seeking approval of Budgets
and changes where necessary. Reporting to the Minister and Under
Secretaries whilst collaborating with all other relevant Ministries
(Ministry of Works, EWA, Roads and SCE).
Supervisory role to the commercial and contract management team of
the Strategic Project Units.

Cost control of projects using cost checks and alternative cost
proposal method and life cycle costing for the purpose of selecting
materials for projects.
-Monthly financial reports on projects’, monitor planned against

Costain (WA)Plc Commercial Manager 2000-2003 Responsible for the commercial function of a strategic business unit. -Contract negotiation, formulation, tender analysis and carrying out earn value analysis of project and reporting financial position of projects to the executive board. -Management and coordination of all subcontractors and supplier for effective delivery. -Contract cash flow projection for projects for the executive board’s arrangement for funding. -Management of production on a furniture factory for a targeted production of furniture’s for a housing development. -Coordinate contract for design and build of generator houses for all Coca-Cola factory nationwide on behalf of Leventis Power. -Management of the commercial section of a strategic business unit of the organisation. Achievements: -Coordinate design and delivery of all materials and relevant information to the site to time and specification. -Efficient allocation of resources and management of cash flow resulting in project self-funding and eliminating cost of borrowing. -Negotiating higher advance payment as a means of reducing cost. -Delivery of furniture’s to the client 3months ahead of schedule. -Delivery of the Generator houses for Coca-Cola factories on schedule to meet their production plan and at cost. -Returning 10% margin above target for the business unit. Costain(WA) Plc Area Quantity surveyor 1994-2000 -Subcontractor quotation analysis and reporting, -Preparation of tender document for civil, building, electrical, mechanical and furniture/interior decoration. -Supervision of Construction work on site including contribution to design, - preparation of interim and final valuation, -Cash flow preparation showing valuation, expenditure and receipts during, pre and post contract period and generally reporting to commercial manager. Achievement: -Effective and competitive bidding winning about 65% of all bids submitted. -Effective negotiation with the subcontractors returning minimum 5% above the projected return during the bidding. -Ensuring receipt of all payment as at when due, handing over credit free projects.

Achievements: -Reducing cost of major material below target by 10% -Selection of cheaper alternatives whilst maintaining quality standard. -Prompt decision making arising from feedback. -Returning 5% profit more than target due to the overseas procurement of materials. Quantity Surveyor 1988-1990 Preparation of interim valuation -Measurement and valuation of variations -Scheduling of materials for importation and calculation of rates for imported materials. -Liaising with the shipping company and foreign suppliers -Collation of documents for the processing of Form M. -Civil engineering measurement including earthwork volume calculation. -Reporting to a senior Quantity Surveyor.
