This advert is shown in the shape of a shark. BMW
has chosen to represent the car as a shark because
it has the same quality's as a shark. Fast, Agile and
a predator against others around it; In this case
other cars.The car has been advertised towards a
more up market audience who can afford the car.
However the cars advert does encourage an aspect
of younger people who are wanting to look cool.
The black background makes the car seem fresh
and new. It stands out from the crowd.
The advert does not show all of the car.This creates an attachment to the car and makes
you want to see more of the car.This links in with the idea of the ‘shark’. A shark larks in
the dark waiting for its prey. So with the Z3, other drivers may think it is a slow and boring
family car. However in reality the car is a predator and can possibly out perform the
majority of match classed cars. In my opinion this advert works really well for what
audience they have aimed it at.
Volvo has designed this advert to create an
impact of a massive scale but make you think at
the same time.The idea of a duck on a rough
terrain in the country side shows whatVolvo is
advertising.The duck is a symbol for family
because you would find a rubber duck in the
bathroom in a family house.The rough terrain
tells the audience the car they are advertising has
been built for that sort of terrain.The advert is
aimed at family audiences who are wanting to go
on a holiday to the countryside but need a ‘big’
car to take the whole family in. In my opinion this
advert works well.The duck is colourful and
stands out from the bland scenery.

  • 2. This advert is shown in the shape of a shark. BMW has chosen to represent the car as a shark because it has the same quality's as a shark. Fast, Agile and a predator against others around it; In this case other cars.The car has been advertised towards a more up market audience who can afford the car. However the cars advert does encourage an aspect of younger people who are wanting to look cool. The black background makes the car seem fresh and new. It stands out from the crowd. The advert does not show all of the car.This creates an attachment to the car and makes you want to see more of the car.This links in with the idea of the ‘shark’. A shark larks in the dark waiting for its prey. So with the Z3, other drivers may think it is a slow and boring family car. However in reality the car is a predator and can possibly out perform the majority of match classed cars. In my opinion this advert works really well for what audience they have aimed it at.

Volvo has designed this advert to create an impact of a massive scale but make you think at the same time.The idea of a duck on a rough terrain in the country side shows whatVolvo is advertising.The duck is a symbol for family because you would find a rubber duck in the bathroom in a family house.The rough terrain tells the audience the car they are advertising has been built for that sort of terrain.The advert is aimed at family audiences who are wanting to go on a holiday to the countryside but need a ‘big’ car to take the whole family in. In my opinion this advert works well.The duck is colourful and stands out from the bland scenery.
