Throughout my twenty plus years of teaching writing and reading
to the hundreds of 6th
grade to college level students, I have many
trusted journals and books that have saved me from many
teaching moments. By that I mean , we teachers do not remember
every English grammar rule. English is considered by many
foreigners who come to America and learn English as their second
language as quite difficult. English has so many exceptions to the
rules that it's no wonder that we teachers need to check our details
carefully. I thank a very dog -eared book Grammar in Practice by
Leslie J. Favor, Ph.D.
